Watch out y'all, there's a great tea place in Elk Grove, and it's Moo Moo!!! I'm surprised at some of the reviews on here, because I have been addicted to this place, and each time I get some thing here, it is stellar!! Moo Moo offers teas, milk teas, smoothies, and shaved snow. I have yet to try their shaved snow, but I've had their teas and blitz and it is fantastic. I LOVE their passion fruit black iced tea. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and the toppings I usually pick (lychee jelly and regular boba) are perfectly made with good texture. The service is top notch! I'm always greeted when I enter, and before I even pay for my drink, it's already ready for me at the counter. Can't beat that for customer service. Decor is modern and cool, and did I mention their cute little cow logo is to die for??? I like to judge boba places on both the drink and the boba itself. I came here on a Sunday night after polishing off some poke. I ordered a matcha milk tea with boba but they were out of boba. How can you be out of boba?! Anyways, they stuck some jelly in the bottom to replace the boba. The drink was gross...kind of powdery and bland. The place was very clean, had nice decorations and seating. I got a small shaved snow and it was pretty big, which is great. It also had a pretty good flavor and texture. First thing I noticed today when I walked in the door was that there were teenagers EVERYWHERE! I didn't notice how "OLD" I got until I had little teen eyes glaring at me from all directions as I walked to the counter. Guess it was my fault for going on a Friday afternoon ( could be because it's Friday the 13th but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) The second thing I noticed was the over powering smell of sugar, but what should I expect?! I've been here twice, first time for the moo moo milk tea and the mint mojito and the second time for a taro black milk tea. None of which made me go "OMG my inner fat self has been released!" The mint mojito was super bland and didn't taste like coffee or mint. It was like watered down milk and watered down coffee, never again -_- . The Moo Moo Milk Tea was alright but too sweet in my opinion and the Taro Milk Tea did not have that authentic Taro Milk Tea taste that I was SO looking forward too. I really want to like this place because I love boba, but I would probably give Moo Moo a 3.5 stars, if I can. The interior of this place reminds me of Pinkberry. I've been here several times. My first time was when they barely opened and didn't accept credit/debit; cash only. Don't fret, they moved up and improved!! I only had their cool tea drinks. Of course, I try to mix the flavors and experiment. Most recently, I had peach, passion fruit, lychee green tea with fresh fruits. It was delicious, but I wish there was more fresh fruits for the amount I'm paying. This is like the Starbucks of boba (price wise). The cups are similar to Sipatea in SJ and the cool teas can be comparable to TPumps in SF (but not the price-- SF is way cheaper!!). Overall, great business for Elk Grove. I came here yesterday around noon to get some boba. I've gone here a few weeks ago, also during quarantine, and everything looked to be sanitary and perfectly fine. Though, when I came in yesterday, the young lady who made my drinks was not wearing a mask. With the sign out front explicitly stating that masks are required, I was shocked to see this worker not following the same protocols. I didn't feel comfortable drinking what I ordered, so I just ended up throwing it out. Not impressed. Apparently a lot of people go out of their way to come to Elk Grove for Moo Moo, but it's really not up to par. I tried my friends' Moo Moo's Milk Tea and none of them were spectacular. I had Lavender Jasmine Milk Tea, which was interesting, but I immediately forgot what it tasted like once I finished it. It was also powdery, so I'm not a huge fan. If you're someone that drinks milk tea and boba frequently, not sure if this is worth trying, especially for its price. Honestly, I came here with an expectation of... " oh, this place is just a knock off version of Half & Half." BUT boy was I wrong! This place definitely stands out and is one of a kind! I ordered the Lavender green milk tea and it was so delicious! It definitely has a more natural taste and it doesn't taste like artificial lavender. I also tried their Jasmine Milk Tea and it's great! Not too sweet and not too bitter. Met two awesome guys working there, who I believe are the owners. A new boba place in town and it closes at 12am!? It was a must try! I went the day after the soft opening around noon and there was a good amount of people. FYI, they accept cash only still. The first time I went, I got the homemade thai tea. Drink was good but I thought the boba was too soft for my liking. Fast forward to my 2nd visit. This time I got the kumquat green tea with mixed jelly. First sip and let's just say it wasn't what I expected. The after taste was really bitter so I asked if they can remake it and this time a little sweeter. Not sure if it's the combination or just the drink in general. After remaking it, I was hoping that it would be a little bit sweeter, nope! Still had that bitter after taste...but seeing how busy they were, I didn't bother asking again. I've had kumquat tea else where before and it definitely didn't have that bitter after taste! During my 2nd visit, I went around 8-9pm on a Friday night and boy was it CROWDED! Newest edition to our few and far between boba places in Elk Grove. Located at the end of Elk Grove boulevard about 4 blocks past boba tea house. They have a simple selection of drinks, popular drinks that are premade with toppings already. They also offer shaved snow plates which isn't offered at other boba places in Elk Grove. I've gone twice and have tried a jasmine tea with boba and fresh strawberries and a jasmine milk tea with boba. I will agree that they use freshly brewed tea the first drink was very tea concentrated which I love. However the jasmine milk tea did not taste like jasmine at all but just regular milk tea so I was disappointed with that. They accept credit card now! Which I like since I never carry cash. However one thing that stands out at the cashier stand is the lack of a cash register. They have a piece of paper with prices written in pen and a calculator to tell you the price of your drink. I'm not a fan of tha,t it doesn't look professional but I'm sure they'll upgrade soon! The decor looks very nice and inviting the tables and chairs a clean and modern, with good music playing all day/night. At night it does get too loud for me: blenders on, people chatting inside, and loud music = raising your voice to order your drink and them not getting your name right because they can't hear you haha. This is my go to spot for boba because it's the closest to my place. This is such a cute little spot with Jenga and card games to keep you occupied with your friends. I am however mostly in and out. I always order taro snow bubble with regular boba. It always comes out great no matter who makes it. They have the perfect amount of sweetness and the perfect amount of boba for each sip. My husband gets the Thai tea which he enjoys very much. They have a nice loyalty program where you get points for each drink and then get a free drink after so many purchases. I love that because I come here often. I took away one star because they only have one size and most of the time it's way too big for me. I can never finish the whole thing. I have been coming here a few times now and every time, the staff is friendly. I normally get a jasmine milk tea with boba. I've also tried their strawberry yogurt blended drink and it's good as well. I want to try other things next time as well. It's a little further out from my home, but I try to swing by whenever I go that way. I like to try out different boba establishment and compare the different texture. Every place is going to make their jasmine milk tea stand out so not every place will taste the same. It doesn't take long for drinks to come out. Not sure if I recall if they sell popcorn chicken, but will have to see next time. They do close at 7pm and there have been times where I wanted to get a drink and they were closed. Tried this place for the first time today. First of all, this place is just cuteness overload. Their logo of the little cow is just so cute. I got the lavender black milk tea and passion fruit shaved ice (w/ condensed milk and mochi). The milk tea was okay. For me, the tea to milk ratio was a little off, felt like it had slightly too much milk. The sweetness is not too sweet and was perfect. The bobas had a good chewy texture. One thing to note, the cups were surprisingly quite wide to hold in my small hands and taking it togo didn't help since these cups don't fit in my car's cup holders because of their width (not driver-friendly). Also, they are in the process of setting up their credit card machine so it's currently cash only. The passion fruit shaved ice with condensed milk and mochi had a very light taste to it. I can barely make out the passion fruit taste. I was surprised when I tasted it thinking it would be a little fruity-er tasting but instead had a diluted milk taste (maybe it's just the flavor?) However, the light, fluffy texture tasted great. I would say better than Vampire Penguin. I thought for the portion, the price was on the expensive side. the order only comes with the shaved ice ($3.84, I think?) and added toppings are for $0.50, of which were also very little amounts of mochi and condensed milk (I can barely taste the condensed milk because there was so little on it). Overall an okay experience. Nothing remarkable except for the extremely cute logo and decor. I think I will come back to try more different flavors of drinks and shaved ice and will update next time. :) read more

First time here after all the hype. I ordered the raspberry black tea unsweetened with green apply jelly which I thought was very good! They had a sign that said no exchange or refunds on your drink, so what you order is final, regardless if you like it or not. Atmosphere: the music was too loud, I couldn't really hear my friends and felt like I was shouting and I talk really loud. I recommend they should turn down the music a tad bit. They played hip/hop/pop music (latest top chart hits type thing). Very clean and the decoration was cool and simple. Their menus looked plain simple and clean but font size is very small to read, I'm surprised I even made out the words because I had no glasses or contacts on (I'm lazy to wear either, but I need it). Service: I was with a large group of 11 ppl. We still got our drinks on a timely matter.. But the power went out on the whole plaza which delayed 4 of our drinks. They brought the drinks to us, but didn't explain they were still working on the others so we had to check. But they were super friendly, I would definitely go back.
