Breakfast was excellent as usual. First time having the Shrimp and Bacon Grits and it's delicious. Good amount of shrimp and it is so tasty sautéed with the bacon. It is served with two eggs over the grits. Service was quick and employees are all friends. Nice cozy feel with lots of natural light. One of our regular breakfast spots.

Had breakfast here for the first time on my last Vegas trip. The restaurant is owned by comedian Jo Koy's sister. It's a blend of southern comfort and Filipino food. The interior is clean and spacious. The staff from hostess to waitstaff were very friendly and welcoming. I just went with a basic breakfast sandwich. It was nothing special, but good. Everyone else in my group seemed to enjoy their meals as well. The menu has quite the variety, so you should have no problem finding something you like.

I've been hearing a lot of chatter about Mountain West Eatery, so I decided to give them a try by bringing a group of folks from church for our outting. Making a reservation online was super easy and efficient, which I appreciated! When I arrived, the exterior looks like this would be some chain restaurant, with a larger than life staff & facility. But once I entered and got familiar with the restaurant, it's very much more like a small family owned restaurant. The type where the owners & family members are working both in the kitchen and the front of house. There was a live DJ on my visit, that had nice tunes the whole time I was there. He even lowered the music when my group and I prayed over the food, which I thought was an extra special cool touch! Thanks for that mister DJ! Apparently they have karaoke nights too. There were three staff working the front of house. A lady that was at the register most of the time, who seems the most knowledgeable and had amazing hospitality! - a young gentleman that was tall, pair pulled back. He was very hospitable and helpful. I think he was one of the main servers. - and an even younger guy, likely a busser or back waiter. He was not friendly at all! He was actually quite rude and aggressive. (Maybe he was having a bad day) Although we had a large group, they were pretty efficient and effective at getting our orders and helping us through the process. Unfortunately, since it's a large group, our food came out at very different times. There was probably a 10 min gap between the first dish that came out to the last dish that came out. Which, towards the end, left half our table done eating while the other half was still going. The restaurant serves a very wide range of food: Breakfast, BBQ, American, Filipino We pretty much tried all genres in our group, and we had mixed reviews, but most of it was positive! I think some of the reviews on the breakfast items were average. But the Filipino food was amazing! Especially mine. I had the Sinigang and it was delicious!! I noticed a few other people around the restaurant ordering it too. I see why! Lots of flavor. Restrooms needed some attention and sprucing up. Overall, great place to try. These smaller family owned places have some of the best food, so I recommend giving them a try.

If you are familiar with the comedian Jo Koy, this restaurant is owned by his sister. We stopped in for breakfast before our drive back to LA and I was impressed on how spacious the layout is, complete with a dedicated bar and a stage for live entertainment. Although Mountain West Eatery serves a unique mix of Southern comfort food and Filipino food, I went with the Tapsilog. It didnt disappoint! The beef tapa was very tender and it had somewhat of a nice sweetness to it. I also sampled the pork belly, which was equally delicious. Service was great. Our food arrived just minutes after we ordered.

Made it to Mountain West Eatery, Gemma's restaurant--Jo Koy's sister--located in the southwest of Vegas. I knew going in that they serve a mix of Southern comfort food and Filipino dishes. Went with a friend for lunch fully planning to order Filipino food, but I just wasn't in the mood anymore. I ended up getting the Southern catfish sandwich, while my friend ordered the fish and grits. For me, the food was a bit mediocre, but the service was excellent. The space is roomy with a relaxed atmosphere, and there's a lot to choose from on the menu. I'd give it another chance and try something different next time.

Mountain West is a blend of both Filipino and Southern Soul Food. The menu features all the Filipino classics - silog of all kinds, kare kare (a stew made with beef and peanut butter), and caldereta. Then they have Southern flavors like shrimp and bacon grits. A DJ played Christmas songs from a small platform. One standout feature was the service. When we went there was a busy Sunday brunch in attendance. Maryann was the sole person working the tables and the register. Now and then the owner would come out to help, but Maryann commanded that room like a Pro. No complaints and no fuss from customers. Bottom line - they serve great food and have excellent service. I highly recommend!

Came here on a weekday at about 4pm, so definitely past lunch and before any dinner crowds - it was only us and one other dining group there. Server was very friendly and kind and helped make some recommendations for food. I'm Filipino and was craving some homestyle cooking, so I got the adobo. My daughter got the spamsilog, and my husband got catfish, ribs, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. The adobo was ok, it seemed like it had been simmering all day by how salty and emulsified the oils were with the sauce. The serving was interesting, it was a bowl of adobo and then a super small cup with the rice... maybe it's just my family and I but I'm used to rice being on a bigger plate so that I can add sauce and chicken to it, not the other way around, so here I had to add the rice to the adobo sauce, and it just felt imbalanced. The chicken itself was tender. No complaints from the Spam plate: spam was fried well, scrambled eggs cooked thoroughly, and the garlic rice was delicious. My husband said his catfish was good, but suspected it was frozen. The ribs were tough, and the sauce was ok. Overall an ok meal, not terrific, but nothing super stand out. I would definitely come back to try the other Filipino food offerings.

Came here with my family on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We were seated right away. There was also a DJ playing some great hits. We ordered 1/2 bangus-silog with garlic rice and upgraded the toast to a pancake. We also ordered the Lechon. The 1/2 bangus-silog was delicious! The fish was nice and crispy on the outside and the meat on the inside was cooked perfectly. The vinegar sauce that it came with enhanced the dish. The garlic rice was also garlicky. The pancakes were buttery. I did wish it was fluffy. The Lechon was also nice and crispy! There was a good amount of meat and less fat on these which I liked. The veggies were fresh! We wished out waitress came around to check on us. We needed to flag her down to get some water and napkins. Another thing was they didn't have a safe high chair for our daughter. The strap did not buckle. She said that they only had 1 high chair. That is definitely a safety hazard. Overall, we enjoyed the food and music.

Stopped in this place as a recommendation from someone while I was in town for the weekend. It was a Friday afternoon and only one other party was in the restaurant at the time. After ordering our food, it took about an hour to come out, which would have been overlooked if our food came out piping hot, which wasn't the case for any of the four dishes. Pros: fresh cut fries, large menu to try Filipino cuisine, happy hour is 3p-close. Cons: possibly low staff, food takes a while, waiter told us their Mac&Cheese is "hit or miss" and they make it to order.. cabbage was cold and flavorless, catfish was hard. Would not recommend, but hoping this was just an off day for the restaurant.

Mountain West Eatery is a restaurant that offers your typical American fare like weekend brunch, as well as Filipino favorites and Southern fare. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was relatively busy. There were a few empty tables that had yet to be cleaned, but we noticed a few groups that still had not ordered yet. There was one couple before me and then my party. I took a seat and waited as a few staff members walked by and didn't say anything. I was wondering if I was going to get any acknowledgment, when someone finally said they are going to clean a table for us. We looked over the extensive menu and was ready to order and just waited. We did notice that a large group got their order in right before us, so we were anticipating a bit of a wait. The Husband's Country Fried Steak $16.99 arrived first, 15 minutes after we put our order in. He did ask for over easy eggs, but he got sunny side up ones. He also asked for extra crispy hash browns and didn't get that either. He couldn't be bothered letting them know as it would only delay his order. He did want condiments like ketchup and hot sauce, and we had to flag someone down to get those things. Next to arrive was mine - Shrimp and Bacon Grits $17.99. It was good, but the grits were not hot enough as you can tell the cheese did not melt. I would guess they plated the grits first and it sat while my eggs and shrimp were being cooked. Once that was plated on top of the grits, the cheese was added. The cheese melted nicely on my eggs, but not on the grits part. Next was the Little Gal's Kids Hawaiian Grilled Cheese $9.99. It looked like an amateur grilled cheese sandwich. There was nothing special about it. She ate it because she was starving. Last to arrive was the Little Guy's 1/2 Bangus Silog $16.99. This arrived about 15 minutes after the Husband received his order, which meant he was pretty much done by the time my son got his food. A staff member did come by after I got my order to say the other orders were coming shortly, but it still took a little while. We expected the wait because of the larger party before us, but didn't expect the food to be brought out with such a huge gap. If this was the case where we waited for everyone to get their food before we all ate, there would have been a bunch of cold dishes sitting around. I noticed this was also the case with other tables too. Service was okay. There were about three servers handling takeout orders, delivering food and taking table orders and one busboy. Sometimes there was no one on the floor though, so you definitely wondered where everyone went. I went to use the restroom and expected that the bill would be paid while I was gone. But when I returned, the Husband said he was still waiting for someone to come by. Would we go back? Probably not. The food was only okay, the service was only okay, and the pace wasn't what we are used to.

I came here a couple years back for catfish and apparently didn't review it. Woman came across them recently for the bbq so we came back one Sunday night. It was later in the evening and only one other patron was present. Xander was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Great person to ask your questions to! I was torn between lumpia and chicken skin. He said both were really good choices with explanations. We chose the lumpia. They're made w pork which was new to me. They were fine but I'd honestly wished we chose chicken skin after getting them. I will say they were very hot and fresh. We had more questions but ultimately I did the kare kare w crispy pork belly. Xander told me they were out of the paste which mattered none to me. Woman did the wings and fish combo w mac n cheese and greens plus corn muffins. I can take or leave cornbread but I accidentally ate a whole one. Whoops. My mother is one of the toughest food critics. She LOVED the fish and wings. Said they were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I'd been bringing home wings from different places but according to her, these are the flavors she was after. I didn't try her greens but the Mac was flavorful and cheesy. Xander said it had him in a chokehold! Lmfao and the wings were crispy w that down south vibe. My food was very hot and covered in peanut sauce. That's a win for me lol. I did garlic rice instead and it was delicious. I will say mine got better later as it cooled a the flavors blended more. The eggplant and bok choy were so good. I def didn't miss any paste. I would go back and try more and checkout the entertainment they're working on incorporating. When I went before there was no stage. Now they have a stage, host and themed nights they do. Gemma was so sweet in explaining it and helping us w containers for to go. I thought she might've been Jen. Guessed wrong but Jen was there and we got to tell her how delicious her food was. Would I go back? Well I have lol. And yes. I would try the chicken skin as an app though. Xander said the bbq was A-/B+ so I'm not sure I'll go there but they're definitely good at what they do. Cheers again to Xander and Gemma! I believe they're family but either way they're fabulous!

You have to stop here while in Vegas! They have an amazing menu that blends Filipino and soul cuisine. Everything tasted fabulous. The staff were super nice and attendant too. Cannot recommend enough, you won't regret going here.

This is a Filipino/Southern style restaurant. Parking was easy and we were able to park right outside. As we entered you can hear the 80s music playing in bg. Just like visiting an uncle on holiday. There are multiple tvs with a different program for each screen. They have a mini stage for performances I guess, or maybe karaoke? It is a Filipino spot after all lol. No actual greeting. Waitress just threw menus on the table lol. She was nice though. We mentioned our food allergy and she even had it on the receipt. So appreciate that! I ordered Crispy Fried Catfish & Waffles. It was Made to order. The catfish was still hot and crispy on the outside with the inside tender. I didn't even need a knife. It was so easy to cut the fish with just a fork. Same for the waffles. So good. I enjoyed the tarter sauce for the fish but honestly, the fish was really good even without the sauce. The meal also came with a cup of cantaloupe fruit. We also had turon with ube ice cream for dessert. Not bad. Overall great time. Thank you!

Cool concept bringing Filipino and southern food together. Service was fast and the decor of the place was cute. They have a whole wall filled with plants. Friends had the adobo fried rice and tosilog breakfast. I had the southern fried fish breakfast and my husband had an omelet. The southern fried fish came with "smothered potatoes," which were potatoes cut and sautéed with peppers and onions. My food could've used a little more flavor. The eggs weren't over easy, and I was expecting crunchy edges and super runny yolk like the traditional filipino fried eggs. I think I'll try something else next time. Southern AND Filipino food under one roof? What and unexpected and great combination. Initially my husband and I came here because he was craving some bbq and so was I...until I saw they had a Filipino menu as well lol. Can never turn down Sinigang! Actually first I tried the Bulalo and tbh I think it's the best bulalo I've tried in Vegas. Every other place I've had bulalo is either very salty or just not flavorful at all. The broth was delicious and they were generous with the meat. I noticed if you try ordering from Grubhub it's not on the their menu but you can also call their restaurant and place the order there. I have ordered the Salmon belly sinigang multiple times now and it never fails to satisfy. So glad to have this place close by to our house. I send the hubby to pick up sinigang all the time when I'm in the mood lol. My husband orders from the bbq side of the menu all the time. He's had the baby back rib and chicken wing combo. I've had a few bites of his food and can say it was pretty yummy as well, even the basement fries it comes with. Also recommend adding the corn muffin as a side! On our future visits, I really want to try their peach French toast! Highly recommend this place. Their full menu is served all day too. read more

At 1130, I expected a huge crowd. Luckily, the crowd didn't hit until we were getting ready to leave. The decor of this restaurant is super cute! It's not your average decor, you have to see it. I kind of want a plant wall in my house now. We were greeted and seated promptly. At the first glance of the menu, I was NOT ready for a book! My goodness, there are SO many options, and it all sounded great. I think the menu was 5 or 6 pages? Breakfast, BBQ, and Filipino food. The waitress recommended the brisket, which my friend got. I had a sample of it. Honestly, that was some of the best smoked brisket I'd ever had in my life! I kind of wished I had gone with the brisket platter I was considering. The issue we found with the brisket sandwhich is the bread was SO thick it was mostly bread. Very little meat on it. I ordered the shrimp with bacon and grits that were absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every bite! The dish was so flavorful! The patty melt was average, nothing spectacular. The French fries seemed homemade they were pretty good. My daughter got French toast but didn't want to eat it because she found hair in it:/ I didn't blame her. The food took quite some time to get. The waitress did let us know they cooked everything from scratch. Maybe that is what the delay was. The staff were friendly. There were a few girls that came by to make sure our drinks were topped off. Our waitress never really came back to check on us, though. It is on the pricier side, but the portions are pretty huge. Overall, I liked the ambiance and the food was great! I'll probably be back for more of that melt in your mouth brisket! It was so delicious! Just order it if you're thinking about it. read more

I've been to this place about five times & the first four times were great. What made it great wasn't just the food. It was the service & the atmosphere. People who run restaurants-from the owners to the cooks, the waiter/waitress, the dishwasher, the bus boy or girl, the hostess, the food preparation staff - ALL JOBS & EVERY POSITION within the restaurant have a pivotal roll in the overall experience that a customer/patron has. As I said, the several times I've been to this restaurant in the past year & a half were great. This time I walked in & there was no one to greet me. No one to seat me. No one to welcome me or make me feel welcomed. Instead I got some slow black kid & a middle aged Filipino guy looked at me from the back of the room & said out loud "sit anywhere" . That was the 1st thing I noticed was off. Then after sitting no one came to ask us if we wanted anything to drink while waiting to decide on food. That was unusual also. I'll shorten this review & say that the menu had changed, they removed the photos which is a big deal in menus because many people (including myself & the people I came with) like when there's photos in the food menu. Especially when theres ethnic foods being offered. Also, when the food came out it was a Filipino guy who brought it out & I think he was the cook but he was so aggressive. He basically threw the food down on the table while yelling out what the plates were. No drink refills. In fact, we asked for juice because we didn't like the taste of the Pepsi (that wasn't the restaurant's fault though, it was just too sweet for us because we usually drink coke) but we asked for new drinks of juice & they never came. They forgot to bring us the coffee also. Bottom line, we have no plans on going back. I will say there was a young Filipino girl that was clearly well trained & knew the ins & outs of the restaurant because she was able to tell us what was available & able to be substituted with no problem. She knew the menu well and was very polite. But the young boy they use to have work there was no longer an employee and that sucks because he was very good as well. The vibe of the place is not the same, the staff aren't good for the restaurant business . read more

Get the brisket!!!!! I came for the first time and it was so worth the stop before heading home. I will say I ordered the brisket breakfast with 3 eggs and they forgot one egg and my hasbrowns but honestly I can't hold it against them because it was so good. We also tried the chicken fried steak and that was also amazing! Just give it a try and I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

Solid American and Filipino food spot! I came here with a party of 7, and they were able to accommodate our large party on a Saturday afternoon. I do not eat Filipino food much, so I cannot speak to the authenticity of it. Portions were very large! There are so many options on the menu, which makes it hard to determine what to order. Overall, I recommend coming here! read more

We had about 30 people come in and ordered large platters for the family. We had fried fish, ribs, chicken, pancit. The staff were amazing and were able to accommodate us very comfortably great service. Great time to watch TV and football. read more

Insanely over priced ! I can't emphasize on this enough the price on literally everything is crazy over priced by $3/4. The server took so long after dropping off the waters we were just about to leave when they came to take our order. Will not be back. The male server that was working was doing an excellent job fast and providing good service, but everyone else was slow. read more

Certain days it's good goes smooth then today had my partner waiting a whole hour for two orders of rice smh no organization and one waitress smh , and I'm a regular here so it's unacceptable . One waitress doing everything is ridiculous . I cannot believe the water it tastes like tap water and where is THE OWNER he used to be there all the time and now is not there and is a mess nothing for free after they take a whole hour with rice !!! Sorry does not cut it when it comes to waiting and a business !! My partner tried to tell them what kind of rice we wanted and they didn't even know like how do you not know your menu when you work there that is supposed to be taught or studied ... read more

We would always come here for Filipino breakfast because they serve it with delicious garlic rice. This time we came around 11 so I wanted more lunch food. I tried their pork sinigang and it was the right amount of sour and savoriness! Was pretty busy around this time but staff was friendly and attentive. We also tried the halo halo and it was great for a hot day. Curious why the ice was yellow though but all in all very yummy. read more

Southern and Filipino food in one spot, how can this not be a Winner in Vegas! Food was flavorful, fresh and filling my mind and soul nostalgic of the days in the Philippines as a young Marine. Sweet and spicy Longanisa sausage with my breakfast liters brought a smile to my face. The filipina waitress filling waters at the next table saw me smiling and eating and made her laugh. She said " you like filipino food?" I just smiled back, held up my plate, " masarap isa pa" her eyes wide, she smiled and hurried back to the kitchen and grabbed me more sausage. The service was sincerely kind and attentive. There was some construction going on outside so inside was pretty empty but it is aesthetic and clean. The food was incredible! We got the pulled pork breakfast tacos, pancakes, the chicken adobo breakfast burrito, the brisket breakfast sandwich, the meat lovers omelette, corn bread and grits. Of the dishes our favorites were: 1. The grits 2. The breakfast burrito 3. The breakfast tacos 4. Cornbread We would definitely come back here! read more

Went there yesterday looking for something new. It was about 4pm and the place was rather empty, but it was a welcoming atmosphere. Amongst our group we ordered the gumbo with shrimp, the fish dinner, the ribs and wings combo plate, the pulled pork sandwich meal and a kids waffle plate. When I tell you we were pleasantly surprised! My goodness!! The flavor in that gumbo was ! The fish was fried to perfection! The greens, wings, ribs, and waffle were also phenomenal! Surprisingly, the missed opportunities were in the pulled pork, yams, red beans & rice, and mac & cheese. They weren't horrible, but it was basic. I ordered takeout here. The food is definitely filling. The bacon was great and I enjoyed the hash browns. The interior is very large and definitely plenty of space for seating. I didn't have much interaction with the servers since I just picked up my food. It seems like they were attentive to guests when I walked in though. read more

We were looking for a place to eat on our way home from Vegas via Red Rock Canyon. We spotted it from the road and made a u-turn and checked them out. Very friendly and great service. I had the mountain burger with everything on it. The burger came with fresh cut fries and was delicious. My wife had the peach French toast and loved it. The menu had a good variety of choices including some Filipino ones as well. They also have a little bar in a small section of the restaurant. Kind of surprised over the lack of customers during lunch time. Not sure how long they have been open. If we lived in Las Vegas we would definitely put it on our places to eat. Would stop by again if passing through town. read more

Came here with mom for a little soul and filipino food fusion and it was amazing . Lots of tables and plenty of patrons . Was seated promptly. If you've never been take the time to look over the menu , as it's extensive . I was craving a filipino breakfast so i ordered the sausage breakfast and it was amazing . The garlic rice was insane . Didn't take long for the food to come out either . Can't wait to eat here again when i'm in town read more

Sadly, this was my first and last time trying MWE. I live right behind the restaurant but was sick so I ordered uber eats. All I wanted was some good biscuits and gravy. A buttery biscuit and a creamy white gravy. I also saw they had Mac and cheese so I grabbed one for later. The biscuits were crumbling like powder, with how dry they were & the sauce was a mess. Completely separated, and unappetizing. The Mac and cheese was overcooked and had no seasoning or flavor. The biscuit plate came with Texas toast- and it was sour. Idk how else to describe it. It was like expired margarine was used or something because the buttered toast tasted like vinegar... With delivery fees and 3rd party charges, it just hurts that I spent $40 on food I had to toss. Won't be coming back here, even though it's within walking distance. read more

5 stars because I am definitely adding them to my foodie rotation and solely for the pancakes! First off, I got a choice of either pancake or toast with my order. I instinctually always say toast because pancakes are rarely anything to rave about. My friend opted for the pancake. Best decision was to eat that pancake! I hijacked it because it was THAT good. Not overly fluffy, not too dense, amazing flavor that just permeates throughout. MUST order. 5 stars because they offer American breakfast, Filipino breakfasts, BBQ, Southern comfort food, and burgers. Everything that anybody indecisive could choose from. I ordered the longsilog - wish the garlic rice had more punch of garlic. I tasted a hint but maybe three times more garlic would give it a more bold flavor. The longanisa was good, just as I remembered from the P.I. my friend's tocino was too sweet for my taste. It seemed more sweeter than most tocino's I've tasted. The dipping sauce was great! Saw this restaurant on a news story and wanted to support their business during this time and try them out. Least to say, we were all very satisfied with our order, the food was finger licking, chase the dog away good! Tips were cold. My sinagog soup was made incorrect/pit in wrong I ended up leaving the whole bowl there and paying My sons ribs and chicken wing order with corn on cob and fries was not tender or still had chicken feathers Corn on the cob looks like frozen corn boiled very disappointed. Came here after being slammed with an hour wait for Early Bird. Turns out to be a blessing in disguise as foot and the staff exceeded our expectation. If you're hankering for FILIPINO AND WESTERN breakfast I'm sure you'll satisfy your cravings here. The Shrimp and bacon grits was perfect. The longanisa and other staple Filipino meats were flavored well and not overly sweet or vinegary. They do however serve them with a side of vinegar to enhance the dish. The Pork Belly Kare-kare was a nice treat with the richness that doesnt make you "umay". The stand outs were the staff and the unpretentious ambiance that made us feel at home. I am so very impressed! First, the decor. Everything is interesting, clean, and beautifully appointed. Someone took their time planning the space, and it shows. Next, the employees: Ty greeted us and was also our server. Since it was the slowest time of the day (2pm) we almost had him to ourselves. He made excellent suggestions and raved about loving the Filipino menu. I was in a bit of a time constraint, but I will remember his suggestions upon my next visit; and there will be many "next" visits in my future. The food: Super Yum!!! I expected more from this restaurant as the reviews made it sound like it's the best of the best. The southern food was just okay. The rib tips and fish was good. The fish was cooked perfect but lacked taste. The rib tips were good, but lacked bbq sauce. The appetizer combo was nothing to write home about. Service was good. Took home the pecan caramel cheesecake, but no caramel drizzle was available but was offered chocolate. It was great that they had the college football games playing. Would I return, probably not. read more

The food was great. However, the service was inexcusable. Our table wasn't pre-bussed, and once we finished our food, not a single waiter came over to check on us. Some waiters even actively avoided us (and there were plenty of waiters standing around doing nothing). The restaurant wasn't even busy. They added an extra orange juice we didn't order, and never checked if we needed refills. We had to grab a waiters attention ourselves just to get a to-go box and the bill. read more

I ordered a pick up order, came in and asked them if the syrup was in the bag for the pancakes that they upcharge for and they said it was. Tipped in a to go order just for me to check my bag and the syrup for the pancake isn't in the bag after asking them if it was in there and it WASNT!! read more

First time here and I had high hopes. We were craving Filipino food and I've heard from a friend this place is good. So we tried it out today. Mind you this review is only for the Filipino food we ordered and not for the breakfast and other stuff they serve. I would like to give those a try next time but the experience we had tells me not to go back anymore. We ordered the chicken adobo, chicken adobo fried rice and salmon belly sinigang. All three were less than mediocre. Chicken adobo was salty and the adobo fried rice was meh. Both were doused with MSG coz I was thirstier and drier than the Las Vegas desert after we finished. The sinigang was kind of fishy too and was just plain bad. The whole bill came out to $50 and had some left overs. We took it home but decided it wasn't worth eating it again. I Felt bad we had to toss it as we normally eat everything we order including our leftovers. But this... Perhaps it was just the food we ordered and maybe a bad day for the cook. We stopped for a late breakfast when we were heading home from Vegas. After considering a couple different options that had long wait times we found this spot just a little out of the way for us. We got seated immediately, and the customer service was top notch. I got the breakfast tacos (3 tacos and a huge portion of eggs and bacon in each one), a couple people in our group got the egg plates, and one of us got pancakes. I was intrigued when I saw the big banner stating Filipino food. So I decided to try and it didn't disappoint. Beef tapa was nice and tender. I hate when some places have rock hard tapa. Garlic fried rice good! Plus it comes with a pancake . Flip food with a pancake I love it!!! Funny thing about this place it primarily a BBQ joint. Well, I'm gonna try that next. We flew from Maui Hawaii to eat here. We came in for dinner and stay for the entertainment. Jen was awesome. She allowed us to stay for the privet party. I keep coming back, which says something in itself…read more Every Thursday they feature burgers, and they always have their signature Dandan: two 100% brisket patties quick-fried in tallow, topped with cheddar cheese and Dandan sauce on a butter-griddled brioche bun. This week they also offered two specials -- the Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions) and the Jalapeño Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions and jalapeños). The Dandan has been on my list for a while, so I finally pulled the trigger. I called around 11:30 a.m. and was promptly helped by a friendly employee. After a quick chat about which of the three was best, I went with the Jalapeño Oklahoma and a side of Brussels sprouts. I've had the sprouts before and really liked them -- they felt like a slightly healthier alternative to the usual fried sides. (Though when I arrived to pick up my order, it seemed like everyone else was happily devouring onion rings, which made me second-guess that choice.) As expected, there was a line stretching out the door. I quickly realized I was the only one actually waiting outside. Several people walked straight in, bypassed the line, and got helped right away. Turns out a group of 3-4 people had already ordered and were just hanging out inside in the AC while they waited. Lesson learned: if you've already placed your order, just walk in next time. While I waited, the staff brought out an ice-cold cup of their fresh cantaloupe juice. It's very sweet and genuinely delicious -- highly recommend. I took everything to go and ate at home, so I can't speak to temperature. The burger was big and loaded with meat and cheese -- you couldn't really see the jalapeños or onions at first, but they announced themselves with the first bite. The brisket patties cooked in tallow deliver a deep, rich beef flavor. They're a little firmer than a standard burger (as expected with brisket), so if you're someone who likes a lot of vegetables and toppings, this might not be your ideal burger. But if you're after a straight-up, beef-forward, no-frills experience, you won't be disappointed. The Brussels sprouts were excellent as always -- perfectly balanced with a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze. Let's be honest... I'll definitely be back. Next time I'm trying the classic Dandan -- and those onion rings.

Just a little kick, which was great. I always wish there was more kick, but I understand you got a cater to your customers. One thing I was kind of concerned about was the temperature of the coleslaw. It should be really cold, but it was just kind of a little bit of above lukewarm, but not really cold. Coleslaw should be cold. The mac & cheese was pretty good. Needs a little bit more liquid in it but the flavor was awesome. And it looks like they prepackage the Mac 'n cheese in containers and then sprinkle some cheese on top. That's a nice touch, but it makes the whole container of mac & cheese dry out. They only have one barbecue sauce. It was pretty good. But to me the best way to judge barbecue is if it doesn't eat barbecue sauce. And this did not need barbecue sauce. It was just a nice addition. Still moist and juicy. They ask you if you want a lean or fatty cut on the brisket. She chose lean (I would have chosen fatty ) Their regular barbecue sauce made everything better. The green beans were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The baked beans were a tiny bit sweet. The fries were perfect. The mac and cheese had good flavor but the pasta was overcooked. If it weren't for waitress standing over us and watching how much I was going to put down for tip, I would've tipped 4 dollars max. We felt like they really needed the money so we tipped 18%. 10/10 will never come back. And I'll be telling my friends not to come either.

My wife and I have been eating here since it opened. I've read some of the reviews because I find it difficult to believe that someone would leave a bad review, the bad ones are a bit over the top and petty in my opinion. We eat here 2-3 times a month. They cook the food to order so it may take a little longer, but it comes to your table hot and delicious. They make most everything from scratch and from their own recipes. I bring friends and clients here all the time as well and they tell me all the time that they took people there to try it and again how fantastic it is. We have experienced an autistic young man employed there, he does a great job, he may not deliver a warm fuzzy to you, but if you don't think about yourself for once and consider the obstacles he is overcoming by working, maybe you could appreciate that! For those that said they would never be back, give it a few more tries, nobody is perfect and this restaurant is new - try it again. read more

This place gets one star because it looks like they are following all of the guidelines associated with operating at this stage of the pandemic. That aside, the only thing I really could judge was the pandemic compliance. We can in for carry out. We ordered the brisket and a smoked chicken. 15-20 minutes is what the manager and cashier told us. 50 minutes later, with no updates, we ask for our money back and the manager suddenly says "oh, now your food is ready." And then throws up an excuse that it takes a long time to cook the chicken. Perhaps if you didn't lie to guests and were transparent when we order something that will take a long time, you wouldn't be known for poor service. Get your head out of the sand and be truthful with your guests. read more

We ordered the chicken and waffles, peach cobbler French toast, grits, catfish with smothered potatoes, and scrambled eggs. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the waffles were perfectly fluffy, and the peach cobbler French toast was just the right amount of sweet. Was driving by and we saw a new spot for dinner so we decided to stop. Only a few people there but we decided to try it anyway. Now I see why nobody was there. We had a young man as our waiter and was not welcoming or friendly at all. Food came out and wasn't that great and part was even getting cold already. Waiter wasn't attentive to refilling drinks or checking on us (and mind you, there's almost nobody at the establishment so he should be right on it). While visiting Vegas I was told about this amazing restaurant i had to try and they sure did not disappoint. Not sure how far they are from. The strip but I had my food delivered and it was still hot when I received my order. The pancakes were big and fluffy, the bacon was crisp and tasty, and the eggs were good too. Not to mention it was a huge portion and priced very reasonably! 11/19/2022. They made me sit and wait for over 25 mins and not a single server came up to me and ask if I at least need a glass of water. They made sure to serve the groups came after me.
