Looks like a family owned restaurant serving up freshly made Mediterranean/Middle Eastern. I visited a while back and got the Lamb & Beef Gyro Wrap. This thing was juicccyyy and nicely flavored overall. A good balance of meat to veggies and drenched in plenty of sauce. However, it was extremely greasy and wet, making the pita turn soggy. I also wished the food was a bit warmer, but it might just be me that likes my food to be piping hot. Average price, decent portion, and good overall. We ordered at the cashier and took a seat. There's not much actual service here aside from delivering your food to the table. A decently good option for anyone craving mediterranean nearby!

Food was sooo good, they make everything fresh. Hummus, baba ganoush, meat and sauces. What I got : Combo Donor : 5/5 Buffalo fries : 5/5 Hummus and Pita : 5/5 Came here on a late Friday night with a friend and come in to find that the owner is someone we used to go to high school with! I didn't really know him too well but doesn't matter. What matters is the food and service. The pita and the hummas were the main reason we decided to come in. The owner was giving out samples of hummus and pita and I was hooked. The pita were fried and so delicious. The combo donor was really good. I ate most of it and still had meat left over. The Buffalo fries are also a fan favorite here. I thought it was good, definitely a late night eat. Also had some leftover so will be eating that with my leftover meat! Saber is very attentive to his customers and to his food! He took over this restaurant from his uncle and perfected his marinated! They just install new lights! So fun. Overall, this place is pretty tasty and most things are made fresh and in house. Definitely a hole in the wall place. I would definitely comeback here!

Deeply Disappointing We used to love this restaurant, but our recent experience was very disappointing. On April 24, 2025, I ordered two Vegetarian Combo Platters and two baklavas for pickup, only to find both the baba ganoush and baklavas missing when I got home. After three days of emails and calls, the owner promised complimentary replacements once he restocks ingredients. It's now May 17, 2025 and he's yet to call. The lack of follow-through and communication is frustrating.

Holy wow, the food was incredible! I picked this place cause we were craving falafels & I was intrigued with all the good reviews I'd read..& boy did it live up to it. Right off the bat, Mr.K was fantastic & very friendly. He took our order & we sat down while he made the food fresh. The falafel platter was bursting with flavours from the chickpea salad, warm pita and delicious falafels. Very crispy and tasty, I loved them. We also ordered a portion of babaganoush & he did a 50-50 and threw in some of their deliciously creamy hummus too. Such a sweet thing to do :) The babaganoush was seriously the best thing I've had in a while. Insanely delicious stuff and the pita that's served with it was fried crispppp! It was SO GOOD that we went for another plate ;) The service was very warm & it was so cute to see the owner's kids came up to us excitedly to show off his superman toy! :D By the end of my meal, I left this place feeling super satiated and thinking about the next time I could come back.

Found this gem while we were trying to find a dinner spot on yelp. I am so glad we went there. Their babganoush (10/10), hummus with pita bread is so delicious. Garbanzo bean salad (Piyaz) was perfect. Flavor of kebabs was on point. They were marinated to perfection and so tender and juicy. It's a family owned restaurant, they made our dining experience very special and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed their food and will be back soon. Do not go anywhere if you are in mood to eat kebabs.

Stopped by Mr. Kebab around the afternoon time. I walked in and the worker recommended i get the chicken donee wrap. It took about 10 - 15 minutes as they grill the chicken on skewers to order. I asked them to make it spicy for me in which they did. The wrap, was served in a toasted tortilla / bread. The chicken was nice and flavor full. It was served with white sauce and red sauce. It gave it a nice creamy kick mixing the both together. The wrap was filled with a bit much veggies and could've used some more chicken imo. I wish the chicken was a bit more charred as well on the grill. Over all, i enjoyed it and recommend this place who ever is in the area. The menu has a great variety of different things offered from their culture. Yes they have halal meat here! Thx again! Pricing : $17 for the wrap only. Maybe on the pricier side. But we're in tough times, so it's all good.

Great service here. Got to meet the owner and chat a bit. It was nice seeing someone so hands on in their business. Mr recommendations for food are: The hummus, didn't taste processed and had a nice nutty flavor. The falafel: lots of flavorful herbs that give it the bright green color. It was pipping hot fresh out the fryer. The owner said the herbs are organic. Finish off your meal with the chocolate baklava! What a sweet treat.

Came to this restaurant at opening and there were a few open tables in the restaurant. You order first and pay after your meal. The TV is a bit loud and there's a bit of chatter in the restaurant. Food was delicious and I love how the chicken donner wrap is filling, flavorful, and refreshing with the fresh lettuce. The woman shop owner was really friendly and made the experience at Mr. Kebab. She was running around the kitchen and packed some hummus for us to-go. Great place to dine at and I thoroughly enjoyed the hummus.

It seems like the experience is always good here based on the reviews. As soon I entered, I was greeted and acknowledged by the person working there. He was super friendly and attentive. It's was hella refreshing and warm. I decided to order the chicken plate, but since I was waiting for my food he brought out a small appetizer for myself. That was hella nice and I was not expecting it. I really did appreciate it. Looking around, the place is well decorated and the seats had a cushion attached to them. Overall, the food hella smacks and it was flavorful. It satisfied the craving and was such a good experience. I would go again. The pricing is a little steeper than expected, but that's how life is now lol.

This place is FIRE! The people are HELLA nice here... super accommodating and chill, down to earth. The food is *chefs kiss* .. the kebabs-- any of them.. chicken, beef, lamb... they all came out perfectly cooked. I always order the platter with extra kebabs! It comes with hella good rice (and I don't usually like rice), and chickpea salad. The hummus plate is delicious too. It comes topped with some chickpea salsa/salad and comes with fries pita chips! Sooooo good. I also LOVE the falafels. I usually only like falafels at Oren's but this place is JUST as good, if not better. They are tough to beat! 100% recommend this place. Plenty of seating for all your friends and family.

Me. Kebab is a wonderful, family owned business that has delicious food. Decided to come to Mr.Kebab on my lunch break and SO glad I did, it's been a long time since I had anything from here. The family who owns this spot is warm and welcoming. I ordered the Buffalo Fries with Lemon Beef and it is so delicious and full of flavor! It has spice from the Buffalo sauce, and the beef is nice and lemony but not too over powering. I also tried their humus and it is thee most delicious humus I've had. So much flavor. I bought a container of it and going to try not to finish it too fast lol I cannot wait to come back and try more of their food and buy more humus!

Service was 10/10, we walked in and were immediately greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome by Tammy. She offered to help while we ordered on the tablet and answered all my questions. Her great attitude was a breath of fresh air. I was the only one ordering from my family but she still offered all of us water and even did complementary hummus to start my dinner.I recently went to Israel and I was missing the food, this hummus HIT THE SPOT! It was fresh and very well seasoned. She brought it to the table while I waited for my Togo order and we all devoured it. My husband, the picky eater, could not have enough. My meal was not as the Israeli food I was craving but definitely still delicious. It will hold me over for now but this is a new favorite at our home. The restaurant was homey and clean! The only reason this is not a perfect review was the price. For one plate and tip we paid $24, though worth it in service it was not a ton of food to justify spending that much one plate. Thank you Tammy for your excellent service and delicious food. Can't wait to go back!

We looked this up on Yelp and felt like we stumbled on a hidden gem that's been around for 20 yrs. Had a wonderful chat with the owner. Learned about his food, high quality ingredients and all from scratch. Kunefe is shipped from Turkey! To die for. We had the beef lamb wrap and it was delicious too. Seriously worth a try. OMG... tender tender tender... delicious morsels of juicy meats all up in your mouth. All up in there. Spiced to perfection and served pipping hot. And once you stick those kabobs in your mouth, you're going to thank me. This place has it going on, OMG. Service was good, but the food is what's up, forget the service. The place is clean, wasn't busy when I went in, but it was on a weekday afternoon, so I didn't expect a crowd... but folks, do try this place because their kabobs are finger lickin good. read more

The owner is constantly asking me for a yelp review... so here is my honest review Been coming here since they first opened when I was a child (over 10 years ago) . Food has been consistently good, aside from a few years where the ownership was changed (probably around 2017-2019) it's under new ownership again and the food is good again, but that is not my complaint... I've seen the prices rise DRASTICALLY while the portion sizes have gone down at this place over the last 3 years. $18 for a gyro? Cmon. $25 for a chicken and rice plate? Outrageous. I understand "inflation" is a concern, but that is no excuse to split your portion sizes in half and double your prices. If inflation is a concern, do one or the other : either drop your portion sizes, or increase prices, not both. Especially if your price increase is DOUBLING what it used to be. Gyros used to be $9 not so long ago, and the chicken plate used to be $12... no excuse for them to be that high now other than pure greed. Even with inflation, a reasonable price for a gyro should be around $11-12 now and for a chicken plate maybe $14-15... I saw the owner/manager advertising with flyers outside of Safeway, and someone told him "the prices are too high". His response was a very arrogant "If the food is good, you pay for it". I'm sorry, but that came off as very sleazy to me. No matter how good the food is, $25 for a plate is not acceptable at a fast/casual restaurant. If you want to charge that much, please set up a fine dining establishment with waiters and waitresses and such. The food is good (not GREAT) but just not worth these prices anymore. read more

If I could give more than 5 starts I definitely would! Absolutely amazing service, the owner was very welcoming and created a positive environment and we held a nice conversation as he was preparing our food. I got the chicken kebab plate and it was amazing! I have tried many kebab places before but Mr. Kebab truly lives up to the name because the meat was perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely amazing. This place has fantastic food, is in a great location, and the service is impeccable. My wife and I stopped in on the way home from the nearby transit station. We were hungry, needing to feed a family of four, and soon. The owner, Saber, took good care of us. He helped us pick out a great value option, and even let us try a sample. Such a professional. After a long time out-of-town, I returned to Mr kebab, which I remember it was a delightful food experience. This time, I ordered Gyro of lamb and steak, and a chicken donner salad. It was not only a great food experience but I also noticed the place had a new ambience face lift with an open counter overlooking the work behind the kitchen scene. I had the pleasure to meet the charismatic and sweet Tammy who kindly offered me to taste their authentic specialty snacks: hummus, pita and falafel. Omg! What an explosion of colors, flavors and textures!!! All tasty, fresh and just made in front of my eyes for a quick service and memorable experience! I saw that Mr. Kebab is under new management so I decided to try it out! With COVID restrictions, they do a good job with social distance, masks on, hand sanitizer in the front. I ordered the chicken kebab plate. It came with a side of rice, bread, salad and 4 chicken skewers! The chicken was so good and juicy!!! They also added something new to the menu, lamb and beef Buffalo fries! Their portions are amazing and they are so good! Definitely need to try these two items, I can't wait to go back and try all the other items on the menu. Good job to the new management, they're doing great and the food is way better now! read more

Tucked into the corner of a ubiquitous strip mall in the middle of Union City is Mr. Kebab. They're serving up plates of some the best middle eastern / Turkish food I've ever had. We started with the hummus/baba ghanoush plate which should be packed and sold. I had the the lamb and beef Doner and my son loved the Chicken Kebab. The portions were generous and packed with flavor. The service was tip top. Friendly and attentive. Was blessed with the opportunity to talk to the owner at length about business, food and cars. All in all a great experience. I need to figure out how to get my buddies down here to enjoy this gem. read more

Chicken Kebab Plate & The Buffalo Garlic Fries were so amazing. since I'm on a diet and they accommodated me to my exact needs. The service here was amazing and the chicken flavor was phenomenal. Usually when you ask a places to give no rice just salad they usually only put a little bit but like I said, they accommodated to my exact needs and made it to where I can eat it as a full salad which I loved. WOW! The quality and customer service here is unparalleled. I found this place on Yelp while visiting in the area. I ordered way too much food as I did not know the portions were so generous. I ordered a chicken gyro, Lamb and beef Gyro, falafel, and hummus. My partner and I got through the gyros and tasted the hummus and falafel. Okey-doke encourage you more to try this place out! I'm gonna come back and try there chicken on a skewer plate. I also have to mention that the customer service was great. I got there and asked to purchase some pita bread and was provided some on the house. I will come back and suggest you check this place out as well! read more

Finally got to try after leaving a side note for Mr Kabob when I did review for Sujus next door. My Cousin was up here with her brother and daughter from Fresno. We ordered a combo plate, chicken wrap, chicken gyro and garlic fries and had hummus with fried pita bread which was complementary, all was delicious and generous portions. My girlfriend Kelly who was with me that day at Sujus actually came back that night with her parents and told me they get takeout regularly. I didn't get her name, but the lady who took our order was super sweet and kind towards my other cousin. How many chances 'awesome' could happen to you? Last night, I got an awesome treat from Savier, Mr. Kebab's business owner. I called ahead for an order of 2 Kebab plates, they were taken pretty quickly. As i arrived the guy asked me if I needed any other additions. I'm not familiar with the side dishes, it was my first time to be in the Kebab place. He asked if i am willing to try one of their appetizers, promising I will like his version of the falafel and hummus with pita. I want to decline since I wasnt hungry and I wasnt feeling adventurous but I wanted to be polite and said sure. The food was soo good and I'm glad I tried it, it's gonna be one to order next time I visit. I was amazed on how this encounter fastly turned up to be like a moment to remember coz he also showed me a picture of his wife and that they are expecting their first child .The kebab plates didnt dissapoint and he added more extras for me to try on. My son and I stopped here for lunch after a haircut at Precision Cutz around the corner. We had the combo doner and it was delicious! The meat was cooked perfectly and the salad was refreshing and tangy. My son enjoyed playing with the owner's son and even cooked them an extra side of fries. Great home-like restaurant. We try to avoid carbohydrates whenever possible. This is the only place we know that offers delicious Middle eastern meats with an option of salad instead of rice. We have been here twice. We dined at the restaurant once and did a takeout the other time. My husband got the chicken donor salad, and I got the lamb and beef donor salad both times. The meat was soft, not chewy, and was well-seasoned. Good portion size for the salad! Their sauces were very tasty! We also got a lentil soup to share. It was warm, homestyle soup. The sumac they season their food with was pretty good too! When we dined, the table and floors were not as clean. Also, they took some time to bring our order. I think they could also do better with their presentation as they serve food on paper plates/trays with cheap cutlery. I gave them one star less because of the ambiance and not very clean floors and table. But they look like a hardworking family-run business serving tasty food. I wanted to place a Yelp takeout order to satiate my Turkish cravings but after noticing the prices were recently jacked up to the extreme, I changed my mind. My brother used to order food from here for for us all often because it's the closest Mediterranean joint to our home but not anymore. He usually calls the order in then picks it up and it never costed $25 a plate. This is where things became disappointing: * the amount of food that they brought out wasn't enough for seven people * their language in the menu regarding the corkage fee was unclear on - it says, "Corkage is $35 for the first two 750 ml bottles," which even the waiter clarified it was $35 for 2 bottles. However, when we got the bill, we got charged $35 per each bottle. I brought it up with the waiter and he denied ever saying that, despite the whole table hearing his explicit confirmation that it would be a $35 charge for both. * this is where the experience became negatively memorable - when they brought out the dessert and a birthday celebration, which was a baklava, they did a really tacky thing of taking one of the pieces of the baklava for the table and putting it on a separate plate with a candle on top of it as the birthday treat. This was extremely off putting and comes off as cheap, especially after our meal was $1000+. I felt embarrassed as I had raved about this place to my family. I wrote this…read morereview the minute I left Christmas Eve 2025 and left it in my drafts folder contemplating if I should post it, here I am with my final decision: I have never had such lack of help from wait staff in my entire life. I am so disappointed in this place, you will NEVER find me back here again. Alright let's start with when we got there, we put our names on and the iPad said 3-11 minute wait. 25 minutes later, we finally got seated. I understand it was busy but this was just the great start to the dinner we had. We ordered and the food started coming. We ordered two plates of Mongolian beef to go with two plates of shrimp fried rice. We got the Mongolian beef before the rice which was the 3rd to last item that came out when we ordered 11 plates. The table was noticing that the rice was not coming out in time so I asked to cancel one plate of rice with not one, not two, but three different waiters. First two were not helpful since it seemed like they couldn't understand me or just didn't care and the third said "they already made the plate so it's not an option" and set both plates down. I was trying to ask since the rice came out so late and was supposed to go with the Mongolian beef if we could just take one off and there was back and forth without him backing down (why?? Does the money come out of your paycheck??). Anyways so okay we then get the bill and we have a service charge that we had never seen before which was $33 and we didn't see that so we tipped 20% on top of the bill. However we get chased down as we're leaving because they are shocked we left a tip on top of the service charge which now we are seeing for the first time. Completely our fault that we don't catch it before. But we had a 4 minute conversation about what the service fee was vs a tip and from what I gather they were saying it is not the same as a tip. However when we said "okay then ya we are keeping the tip on the payment" they were ECSTATIC!! Like shockingly surprised we did that so we walked away feeling like they lied to us about the service charge being a tip. Then the whole group taking the same car agreed that service fees are tips. I wouldn't know, I've never had to pay for one before. But after this visit on Christmas Eve I am just beside myself with the lack of customer service and then what seems to me is the blatant lie about the service fee not being a tip. I've seen other people comment on the rude staff and up until this point I had never seen it. Now I will not be coming back here and Din Ding will never get another cent from me. This was unacceptable.

We got the coconut thai tea, perfection, a watermelon smoothie with lychee jelly, it tasted like the most perfect in season watermelon frozen and blended with jelly at the top and bottom of the drink, and the iced coffee with coconut condensed milk, also good but a little stronger/darker than I would prefer but doctored up with just an extra splash of oat milk at home it was rich and energizing. The sandwiches were also excellent and I was so grateful for the employees' flexibility in making a custom sandwich for my picky kids. I love being able to add avocado and love that vegan mayo is an option. The sandwiches were perfect, the tofu is fried and mixed with fried starchy bits that were SO good, the veggies are plentiful and have a great freshly prepared taste, and the balance between ingredients and flavors is just right. They also had some specials available that looked great. The shop is tiny but full of warmth. Everyone was so welcoming, eagerly gave recommendations, and made ordering sandwiches a pleasant and refreshing experience. And there's a nice park and plaza area across the street where you can enjoy your food so the lack of indoor seating (there is a little bench which I'm sure you could use if needed) isn't a problem at all

When we called to let them know about the meat, his wife started chopping up meat on her end, arguing with me, and insisting the food was perfectly fine and fresh. My wife, who is visibly 8 months pregnant, actually walked the burrito back into the restaurant just to show her the gristle. Because the lady said to bring it back show her. Instead of making it right or offering a simple switch for a chicken burrito like my wife had asked, she completely lacked empathy and flat-out said, "I can't remake your burrito." I called back to ask what could be done to fix this, and she started telling me to stop yelling at her. I wasn't yelling at all, my other baby was screaming in the background because my wife left the house to try and get the food fixed. She then hung up the phone on me. Apparently, she told my wife she even consulted her husband before refusing to fix it. It is so unfortunate that a business we supported weekly would treat regulars this way, but they have officially lost customers for life. The owner also said she was going to reply to me on here. Waiting for an explanation of how you turned away an 8 month pregnant lady?

I've passed by this place many times in the shopping center and decided to pay them a visit today for lunch. First I just have to say "I LOVE their FOOD". I love the atmosphere and friendly customer service. I ordered the Lamb and Chicken Kebab combo plate which comes with rice, salad and bread. Wow! The Chicken and Lamb were nicely seasoned and tender. Not dried out like at some other kebab places I've been. I loved the salad with their own signature salad dressing. And the bread is made their fresh - what a nice plus! I was so full from my combo plate but decided I had to order the Turkish Coffee and Baklava! YUMMY!!! The Baklava was so buttery sweet and flaky! The coffee very FRESH! I found out they are going to be open on Thanksgiving so I will definitely be ordering some food for my family who is coming up from So. Cal. I may not even cook a Turkey but just serve Mr Kebab! LOL! They said they could deliver the food for us so that's a HUGE PLUS! Thank you Mr. Kebab! When he got here he set up everything for me with each type of food in seperate serving trays. Went back today for the second time between lunch and dinner with a few friends. Why did I wait so long to take my friends there? I don't eat out very often but when I do it's usually mediterranean/middle eastern that I search for and I guess that means Turkish too. As I said on my previous comment I have eaten at many of these types of restaurants in the area but none compare to Mr Kebab. The service was exceptionally different this time and place was a lot more vibrant. The people behind the counter actually tried to interact with the customers. I really don't remember having any interaction or eye contact with the staff last time. I absolutely LOVE good customer service so I give them 3 stars for that. Now on to the food....I like their meat because it is cooked very well- done and flavors are expertly blended. Last time I ordered the Chicken Doner Salad which I LOVED the well-done chicken and salad dressing. This time my friends and I ate their Lamb and Chicken Kebab plate recommended by the cashier. The plate is served with rice, salad, and home made bread (YUMMY). Topped that off with a nice ice cold soda, turkish coffee, baklava and homemade ice cream (To Die For!!!!). 7 Stars If I could give them 10 stars I would because the food was not greasy, meat was cooked to perfection, salad dressing is delicious, hummus was FRESH. One of my friends had the falafels, which I tried, and they are FRESH definitely NOT frozen. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Changed my mind: Owner is RACIST AGAINST MEXICANS. I brought my friend here to eat cuz I know the food here is good but while waiting for our food the owner came out and asked us if we had jobs. Then they asked us if we wanted to work in SJ with them at their outdoor food table thing. They they got weird and started saying that the Mexicans they work with often get mad at them because they are just THAT GOOD at their job. Then they said that "you Mexicans" need to calm down and not be so mad that he's so good. He also said that a Mexican guy threw a bottle at him and that us Mexicans have to control our issues. I wasn't having it and began to talk him down like the big fucking crybaby he is and we still took our food cuz I paid for that shit but I'm not coming here ever again. I got a video too. Es mucho para escribir otra vez pero el jefe aqui es RACISTA EN CONTRA DE LOS MEXICANOS. I intended to go to Starbucks on Decoto Road and ended up inside of Mr. Kebab (next door to starbucks) instead. Mostly because I finally got curious about this place. I thought it was pretty cool so I decided to take a peak. I was not hungry until I saw their menu....WOW the pictures were so colorful that I had to order the chicken kebab. First of all I liked how the meat was cooked - well done. Secondly the marinade is out of this world! There was a little bit of salad with an awesome homemade dressing. Rice very fluffy. Since I was originally headed out for coffee anyhow I decided to try their Turkish Coffee and Baklava after stuffing myself with a kebab. Wow! The Baklava was so buttery and sweet in combination with the Turkish coffee hit the spot, big time! I was so surprised to find that all the tables and bathrooms had hand sanitizer which made me feel as though they were trying hard to keep the place clean as well as care about the customers health. I was visiting a couple of friends who invited me to lunch at Mr Kebab. I actually live in San Francisco where there are a myriad of Middle Eastern Restaurants with Turkish Kebab menus. This place surprised me more than I expected. I had the chicken and lamb kebab plate for $8.99 which included rice, salad, and bread. The plate of kebabs was beautifully decorated with sumac and Mediterranean spices. It smelled scrumptious. The meat was so flavorful, and rice cooked perfectly. The hands that made this food definitely have experience. If you do not try this food - you will never know what you are missing. I recently had the opportunity to try Mr Kebab for the first time, and I was blown away by the quality of the food. I ordered chicken gyro, and everything about it was perfect! The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service at Mr Kebab was also top-notch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. I had an amazing experience at Mr. Kebab in Union City! Food was better than pasha!! And so was the experience. As soon as I stepped in, the warm and energetic greeting made me feel right at home. While waiting for my food, the lady behind the counter kindly offered me some delicious hummus and a kabob to try. One of my buddies told me to go here for lunch one afternoon and first impression was that the staff was very friendly. Not sure if the younger guy behind the counter is the owner or maybe a relative? But he really went out of his way to answer my questions as this was my first time eating Med. type food. I went for the chicken, beef and lamb combo and liked it with the homemade yogurt sauce that they provided. What really impressed me was that knowing it was my first time there, he offered me free baklava sp? Extremely sweet stuff, but great for dessert I guess. I was passing by and noticed a sign with pictures of Gyros and Falafals. The sign showed how large the plate of Gyros was so I decided to order. The Gyros are made with Lamb or Beef, and topped with onions & parsley. The plate comes with rice, salad and cucumber sauce and of course the lovely bread. The people asked if I wanted it spicy. They must have read my mind because I LOVE Spicy! It's easy to find Gyros places all over town but not like this place. The Gyros are amazing. Stumbled upon this place on yelp thought we'd give it a try. Walking in you order from a board with pictures snd numbers. We orderd a lamb and chicken kabobs meal with a side salad both came with a rice and orzo ball. The lamb had good flavor the salad was a little greasy tasting but still good. We also ordered falafel with a side of hummus the falafel was as expected decent and the hummus was tasty if not a little to Lemmoney. All tasted fresh. The placce was a bit old in decor but clean. I was visiting my cousin the other day, and he invited me to lunch at Mr Kebab. I wanted to tell everyone that this is the most amazing kebab restaurant in the bay area. My cousin and I shared the lamb and chicken kebabs, and a falafel plate. The food was phenomenal. I was surprised by the great tasting food. I just started yelping because of this place. Like someone said this is a hidden gem in fremont. I have a lot of friends in that area and been to all kinds of restaurants, I must say not many are good, but never heard of this place. I walked to Mr Kebab to eat a Gyros. I ended up buying a Gyros Plate which comes with rice, salad, cucumber sauce, and warm pita bread plus the gyros have lamb & beef mixed together. Price was fare. In the bay area there are dozens of places to eat gyros. None of them compare to Mr Kebab. The gyros are absolutely scrumptious. I will be back again to try to the falafels and kebabs. I'm sure I wont' be disappointed. They should call their restaurant Gyro King instead of Mr. Kebab. read more

Their falafel was so tasty and aromatic. You can also help yourself to more of their OG yogurt sauce (so good!) , cilantro sauce, spicy chili sauce / freely available on the counter. I was told they started with one shop years ago and having eaten there now, it explained why they grew to multiple stores in the bay now. Aside from Oren's hummus, this is now my next best and favorite place. I'll be back.

I really love smashed burgers and found out that they're promoting this on social media. So why not give it a try? I was trying to order it along with curly fries and drink. When I looked at the total, it contradicted the price of the fries and drink combo since the employee entered them separately. So I tried telling him that the combo is in the menu and so why put both items separately? They were clueless with what I'm trying to tell them and I kinda gave up trying to explain. Luckily, he figured out what I told him and it was a success. I guess that it's all a misunderstanding. They should be consistent with what's on the menu even though that ordering them separately is slightly expensive. Also, if I'm correct, if you want the fries and drink combo, you can only get the Shasta brands. Otherwise, you'll have to order both separately, because Shasta drinks are generally cheaper than other soda brands. I suggest them updating the menu where it says something like "With Fries & Shasta Drink Combo" rather something a bit too general. That would clear up confusions and misunderstandings from both sides. Again, I don't blame him. It's most likely a miscommunication and we're just trying to clear things up. Anyways, got home and honestly the curly fries were crispy and very delicious. The best part is actually the smashed burger. It's really saucy and juicy at the same time. They did a really good job with making them. Would definitely recommend anyone especially those who near this area to give it a try! In my opinion, it's better than one of the burgers I had.

My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment.

The thin see-through plastic-looking curtain at the entrance door is extremely dirty and filthy. This alone is the major deterrent for me. Then I entered the store and it was extremely dark at 2:00 pm. There was only one light on at the butcher area. The guy at the counter ignored me and didn't even bother to say hi or if I need any help, which I really did. I was looking for some middle eastern style dill pickles. I had to go through all the isles in the darkness to find the pickle isles. There was no dill pickles! Only a few pickled vegetable jars from the manufacturers that I never shopped before. Their condiment options are very limited and is not like Middle Eastern, Persian, or Arab markets where you find a big selection of a variety of brands for one single item. I hope they get to adopt better hygiene practices, learn to say hi to the customers, and bring more variety of products. I think most of positive reviews are from their family and friends. I agree with the negative reviews.
