Love these little deep fried buns.

We came in on a Saturday evening and had such a great experience! Definitely recommend making a reservation, as this place gets busy and for good reason. It's an all-you-can-eat with a coal grill, and you get 90 minutes once you're seated, so come hungry and ready to order. The staff was excellent super friendly, helpful, and quick with taking orders, clearing dishes, and swapping out the grill without us ever having to ask. For just $5 more, the premium menu is 100% worth it especially for the wagyu. Everything we tried was delicious, but our favorites were the wagyu cubes and the lollipop lamb chops. On top of that, they offer a salad bar, fruit/dessert, and a sauce station to round out the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was another highlight: modern, clean, and comfortable, which made the experience even better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only downside is the time limit, but honestly, 90 minutes was plenty for us to enjoy everything. Overall, we loved our visit and will definitely be coming back!

Second time for me but my boyfriend's first -- and he LOVED it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is sooo pretty inside and has such a chill vibe, perfect for a date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came on a Friday around 4-5 PM and got seated right away, no waitlist Service was amazing, everyone was super friendly. I also love that they have their own sauce bar and their miso soup?? SO good -- like I could honestly drink that every day. Overall such a fun, cozy spot -- definitely coming back again soon!!

First time in Niku Feast. We visited this place long time ago but was called Niku Niku. It's a new concept now, buffet. We paid extra $5 to get the wagyu selection. I enjoyed most of it, specially the rib eye, wagyu squares, beef tongue, lamp chops, duck breast and beef fingers. I did not like the beef brisket only because they are thinly sliced meat. Over all meat selection is great. The buffet comes with rice, soap and sides like potato salad, seaweed salad, kimchi, and others. Service is good. He came back to check on us often in case we had more meat orders. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very pretty restaurant. Enjoyed this place a lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very popular so make your reservation.

Such an AMAZING, DELICOUS, meal. I have never had such good quality meats at a great ayce price. This is a great spot in north seattle. The Yelp Waitlist was great so we could join early. The staff were very kind and attentive too, always asking if we wanted to order more frequently cause our trays are almost empty. Great food, great service, overall need to come back again asap. WAGYU CUBES! PAY THE EXTRA FOR PREMIUM ITS SO WORTH!

Overall: A+ // 6 stars Extremely fascinating hidden gem Japanese barbeque spot for only $35 AYCE with a $5 supplement for premium cuts such as wagyu and duck breast. I am so throughly impressed by this spot given that all their meat has a beautiful redness with glistening marbling, highlight the quality and freshness of their meat, which is particularly outstanding given that its also all you can eat. We chose to opt out of the supplement as all of their regular cuts were already great enough; this also included beef tongue, which was sliced so thinly that we can cook nice and tenderly. In addition to the meats, they have a copious amount of sauces and herb pairings to help elevate the flavor of the beef, from teriyaki to salted onion. I also enjoyed the expansive snack menu from classic comforts like french fries to Japanese-comforts like takoyaki. In addition, there was Japanese salads, a rice bar with gyudon and curry, and an appetizer bar with pickled cucumber, seaweed salad, potato salad, fresh fruits, and ice cream -- everything needed for a complete meal and to help balance the meat. This is one of the most fulfilling meals I've had in a minute; highly recommend. TLDR: tried both the wagyu and regular. You can order the regular meats when you upgrade. Personally think the Wagyu isn't any better than the regular. Besides the AYCE, the soft serve and the gyudon are DELICIOUS sides at the self serve bar. No extra charge for it either. Less variations for making your own sauce compared to other kbbq or hot pot places. They are very strict on the 90 min time limit to order meats so I suggest ordering the bulk in the beginning ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seats are comfortable and great for big groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Grills are a little small but you can turn up the heat to cook stuff faster.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is inside of Asian Family Market and there are claw machines right when you walk in. They definitely don't let you win until a certain # of plays but it's fun of you're in it for the thrill and not really the prize[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Located inside a small strip mall with Asian Family Market right next to it; Niku Feast Yakiniku is located right on Aurora Ave with plenty of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you enter, you get nice dim lighting with upbeat music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside has plenty of seating with grills at each table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was super friendly and made sure to check on us every so often so that we could order more meats. With your All You Can Eat comes access to a side dish bar as well as a section with rice, Beef (Gyu Don), and Miso Soup. At $35.95 per person you get the regular AYCE menu with Appetizers and meats and for $5 more per person, you get the Premium Upgrade with Wagyu options as well as a few other meats not included on the regular menu. Our favorite items were definitely the Beef Tongue Root and the Wagyu Toro. The meats were very tender and flavorful when cooking them on the grill. For the most part, we didn't use the dipping sauces. Definitely planning on coming back again because everything was worth it.

I've been wanting to come here forever and I can finally say that it is absolutely worth it!! They have AYCE japanese bbq for ~$40pp, and it's popular for a reason. We made a reservation ahead of time which was definitely the move, as it was quite packed here on a Tuesday night. We chose to get the premium option for $5pp more and I would definitely recommend it. You get wagyu cuts of everything, all of which have such amazing quality. Our favorites were the wagyu cube, wagyu toro, and beef finger meat. They also have plenty of sauces and sides and dessert too! They limit dining to 90 minutes, which felt like just the right amount of time if not slightly less. I will definitely be back!

It was just okay. the yakiniku quality isn't what it used to be back when it was Niku Niku. Meat was decent but not super fresh or flavorful -- even the wagyu was just meh. It is AYCE, so you get quantity, but the quality doesn't quite match. The waitlist system is long and kind of confusing. Also noticed a bit of a gas taste on some meats -- probably because they use gas to imitate charcoal grilling, which isn't great. The self-serve bar is average, nothing special. Staff was friendly and attentive. Dark and warm vibe.

My friends go to this place for the AYCE grilling and they took me recently. We went on a Wednesday evening and they made a reservation for 6p. It was pretty busy for a weeknight. We got seated and put in our first meat order. There is a time limit to eat (but as I write this I can't remember if it was 90 minutes or two hours) but that wasn't an issue because we ate a lot and were stuffed at the end. While we waited for the first round of meat, check out the salad bar, which also has japanese curry, miso soup, white rice and a bunch of sides like kimchi! Probably wise not to fill up on the salad bar but it was my first time so i wanted to try a little bit of everything! The curry was pretty good! For the meats, we tried a little bit of everything but my favorites were the finger meat and the karubi so we got multiple orders of those in future rounds. The server came by frequently to take orders from us - it was so quick and efficient! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The meat was good quality and the service was great and the space is nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a fun experience and i would definitely go back if i felt like eating a lot of meat and getting my iron and protein levels up! It's located inside of the building with Asian Family Market so plenty of parking in the shopping plaza. Also they have a soft serve machine so you can get ice cream for dessert!

Located in north Seattle next inside Asian Market, next to flooring and la fitness complex. Parking: plenty free shared retail parking. Restroom: men and women restrooms outside, down the hall way. Code required, which you can get in any restaurants in the bldg Reservation: via yelp or walk in. All you can eat $35.95 per person, add $5 more for more premium meat and more selection on sides and appetizers. We just do the regular because it's plenty of variety for us anyway. There's sauce, salad bar and appetizers, rice bar. You can mix and create your own sauce. Have: steam rice, banchan, miso soup, gyudon, curry sauce which is perfect over rice. Yum. Menu: scan qr code on table with your phone. Time: 1.5 hr limit We tried: House salad Cold tofu Fried bun w condensed milk Chicken karaage Takoyaki Corn cheese Ribeye steak - 1st meat is good, 2nd one not so much Brisket Short plate Beef tongue Pork belly Top blade. Recommend: go with at least a group of 4, so you can try more and variety. Karubi - chewy

GOOD! It was my first time at NIKU! The meat definitely looked very fresh and the quality was great. I had heard that the quality had gone down, but honestly, it still seemed good to me. I would definitely recommend going for their salt and pepper cuts rather than the marinated beef because the marinated ones burn faster and are a bit saltier. Plus, with the salt and pepper version, you can use their dipping sauce, which is a nice bonus. If you get tired of the meat, they also have a big pot of unlimited curry, rice, and miso soup. And a self serve ice cream machine!!!! I'd love to try that next time since I was way too full from all the meat this time around. Note: I highly recommend joining the waitlist before heading over--I went on a Wednesday and still waited 1.5 hours!

Love this place!! Came here on a Friday at opening and enjoyed the ambiance and food. The AYCE menu is well worth the price for the quality of meats you get. We decided to add the $5 upgrade to premium meats over the regular $35 price. The service is great since they are quick to take your order and are pretty attentive with changing out your grill. The self serve side dishes are also not bad. The kimchi and zucchini salad is a great palate cleanser to the grilled meats. When you're finished with the meats, they have a self service soft serve ice cream machine that you can take a cone to go as you walk out. You also don't smell as much after eating compared to korean bbq.

At least for this style- Texas style...sort of a combo with both dry rub (Memphis style) and a kick ass sauce ala KC. It was excellent. We both wanted the ribs and brisket so we each got the 'double trouble' and got different sides...greens, cornbread, corn pudding and mashed potatoes. Oh yeah, we also got the fried pickle appetizer. The meat was perfectly done...tender and smoky. Each side was big, and flavorful. I especially liked the greens, my son said it was the best he'd had. Then they brought out the banana pudding. When the server put it on the table my son made a reference to a vampire movie we'd recently watched where the vampires could see the arteries in the necks of their victims and he made a motion to show that the banana pudding was almost pulsating on the table before us. We descended on that poor pudding like crazed nosferatu just awakening from a centuries long nap. Blood lust. It was so good. Gone in about 1 minute. Our evil souls were barely sated. Our thirst for banana pudding only temporarily slaked. The server joked that he's always wanted to bring in a boba straw for the stuff. It's good. Anyway- put this place on your list. Best bbq in Seattle? Maybe? This is a food genre that's important to me and I haven't yet seen better. $130 for two people with tip, wine and a take-home pudding.

One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."

A classic lunch spot in Pioneer Square for good reason. This is probably one of the most reasonable…read moreBBQ prices for value I've seen in Seattle. While it's not the best BBQ, it gets the job done with great service and prices especially when you're craving it and in the neighborhood. I had the lipstick sandwich, which I got with beef brisket, and also comes with coleslaw, dill pickle, and mustard BBQ as toppings. The meat was tasty, and the toppings were well balanced. The bread was pretty standard as well. What really impressed me was the cornbread. It hit the perfect cornbread notes to my preferences - really rich, buttery, almost melt-in-your-mouth texture with prominent butter-corn notes. Seriously one of the best cornbreads I've had in my life! And such a great value at the way its priced, like the rest of the menu. Definitely check it out, if anything grab a piece of their cornbread.

They have a few seatings but not much and it can get cramped. Foodwise: Brisket sandwich: pretty good, the brisket was soft and flavorful. It's simple but satisfying Pork ribs salad: pork had barely meat on it, it wasn't tender and kinda bland, you definitely need the sauce. The salad was a bit much in terms of dressing. I wish they had the dressing on the side so I can put as much as I want. They were nice and gave us 3 ribs though instead of 2. Chili: came with chips. Pretty standard nothing special. Overall, it's a pretty average place. The service was good though. The people are super nice and price is good as well.

Jack's BBQ is a staple Washington chain known for their Central Texas-style BBQ. They have…read morelocations in South Lake Union (SLU), SODO, Columbia Tower, Bellevue/Redmond, Algona, Lakewood, and Federal Way. I have been to both their SLU and SODO locations. Their claim to fame is that "BBQ Sauce isn't needed - the meat is amazingly delicious!" However, they always provide BBQ sauce at the table and sell bottles of their BBQ sauce to take home, so not entirely sure how much they believe in their saying... On my most recent visit to the SLU location, a large group of co-workers and I went out for a celebratory occasion and ordered the: - SMOKED SWEET TEA ($4.50) - smoked brown sugar, simple syrup, and iced tea. This also comes as a cocktail with vodka ($14.50). This drink was honestly just alright and I probably wouldn't get it again personally. It had a slightly savory and smoky after taste, but kind of tasted like you just put a few drops of liquid smoke in the drink. - BUTTERMILK HUSHPUPPIES ($9) - golden brown and piping hot (like literally straight out of the fryer!) served with tartar sauce and honey butter. While they were super fresh and hot hot hot, they were a bit too dense for my preference. It was worth a try, but I would just stick with the regular buttermilk cornbread instead. - LONESTAR FRIES LOADED WITH QUESO AND BEEF BACON ($14.50) - french fries coated in velveta cheese with crumbles of bacon on top. One of my co-workers wanted to give this a try, so wasn't my choice or pick, but this appetizer was also pretty rich and dense. I also would not order this again as I found it too salty. - PICNIC ($98 - enough for four or more people to share!) - brisket, ribs, sausage, pulled pork, chicken, white bread, homemade pickles, jalapeños, and four sides. For sides, we chose the REMOULADE COLESLAW, BUTTERMILK CORNBREAD, QUESO MAC N CHEESE, and SWEET CORN PUDDING. Because there were 8+ of us, we upgraded the side sizes to 12-oz for $8, as part of the picnic deal. We additionally got a side of WAGYU BRISKET (a Wednesday-only special). - BRISKET/ WAGYU BRISKET - tasty, but surprisingly was on the drier side. I don't know if I really could tell the difference between the Wagyu and their normal brisket. I was expecting a much more moist piece of meat, but seemed kind of lean. - RIBS - these were my favorite in the basket. Sweet, juicy, and falls right off the bone! - SAUSAGE - they give you two types to try - spicy and cheese-filled. The spicy has jalapeño in it and definitely has a small kick. The cheese-filled is mild and slightly saltier. - PULLED PORK - also on the saltier side, but at least it's relatively moist and pre-shredded. - CHICKEN - mostly dark meat (which is my preference), but can't say there's really anything special about their marinade. Nothing to write home about here. - REMOULADE COLESLAW - your standard shredded cabbage coated in a sweet and slightly peppery and tangy mayonaise dressing. No complaints here. - BUTTERMILK CORNBREAD - this side is an ABSOLUTE MUST. My co-workers and I were blown away by how good the cornbread was here. It comes with a dollop (more like a scoop) of butter drizzled with honey, but even on it's own, it was absolutely amazing. It was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, like a good cake. - QUESO MAC N CHEESE - This side was evidently rich, but less rich than the Lonestar fries. It was creamy, savory, and came with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on top. I liked that they used spiral macaroni as opposed to your typical half tube macaroni as it gave more texture and chew to the dish. - SWEET CORN PUDDING - I thought I would've liked this one more, but similar to the hush puppies, this dish was also too dense for my liking. However, it was a nice and sweet complement to the mostly savory dishes otherwise. **TLDR- for mains sides (as I've basically tried them all at both locations), I would recommend the ribs, buttermilk cornbread, remoulade coleslaw, Gramma's collard greens, and mustardy potato salad.** For dessert, we ordered one of everything off the menu and honestly, dessert was 10/10!: - PEACH COBBLER & ICE CREAM FOR TWO ($12) - this cobbler was fantastic. It was moist, gooey, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was served warm and the ice cream just melted right into it! - PECAN PIE -1996 TEXAS STATE FAIR CHAMP, ALA MODE ($9.50) - this pie was fantastic too. It was sticky, chewy, buttery, and everything a good pecan pie should be. No wonder it was a prize-winning dessert! - BANANA PUDDING WITH NILLA WAFERS ($6.50) - this pudding was creamy, rich, and full of bananas and whipped cream with strong notes of vanilla. The nilla wafers offered a nice crunch and love how they crumbled some on top of the pudding too! Service was wonderful and we got our food within 20 minutes after ordering. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

We were informed they were out of brisket and pulled pork....bad sign. So we both went with pork ribs (couldn't eat more chicken) with two sides, white bread, onions and pickles. For sides I went with ranch beans and potatoe salad. My wife had the collard greens and ranch beans. Sides were good and lots of choices. Good sign. Now about those ribs....you get 4 meaty ribs ok. Pretty charred from end to end. The bad...the ribs literally had no flavor and very bland. Disappointment. In addition they were pretty dry. The waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and well lighted. Nicely decorated. Got to say I was very disappointed and would not reccomend Jack's.
