Amazing neighborhood bar. Nothing really kitschy, campy or witty to say either! The server that runs the show (yes, she rocks all 9 tables and still knows what's up) is awesome. Super nice, super cute (and she's not even my team haha) and she's fast and on point. The food is tasty, classic bar food - $15 for an app and 2 meals is a steal for restaurant week. Pair that with "$4 and some change" well drinks (that can come in pint glasses on occasion) and you've got yourself a great neighborhood classic. read more

Burger was good, but only 6oz before cooking. Fries were soggy and underdone and mushy in the middle. Fried pickles were not good. Fried pickles were low quality pickles to start with sort of like McDonalds served on their burgers and cut too thin to have the correct ratio of breading/coating to pickle. Draft beer was cold. Bartender didn't even come down the bar to ask me what I wanted. Awkwardly shouted to ask me what I wanted from halfway down the bar. I wasn't even sure he was talking to me at the time. I was sitting right in front of the beer taps that I knew he had to come down the bar to use to pour me a beer. Bartender made me feel like I was interrupting his day. Burger needs to be at least 8oz to charge $11.95 plus tax. $7 would have been a fair price. I could make 8 of these burgers at home for $11.95 with buns and everything. I had a decent tasting small burger, undercooked fries, crappy Fried pickles and a cold beer for $30. $15 would have been fair. read more

Even though this pub is 5 or 6 blocks from our house, my boyfriend and I had not dined here until a couple of nights ago. This is a very small pub with a limited menu. I did a Google search before visiting to check out the menu, since their web site didn't connect to their menu. I was excited to see that they had something for everyone in our party. I was surprised to see that actual menu was much smaller and limited. Since the only meat I eat is fish, I was disappointed to see that there were only three fish options - tacos, grilled salmon and a fish sandwich. I don't like tilapia, so I wasn't interested in the tacos or sandwich. I had to order the salmon. My partner ordered a special chicken parmesan, as did another person in our party. The other person in our party ordered a kobe hamburger. My fish had a good flavor, but it was so tough and chewy that it was more like salmon jerky than grilled salmon. The accompanying rice was a ball of plain white rice and the sauteed spinach had no flavor at all. Those who ordered the chicken parmesan said that it was just "okay," as did the person who ordered the burger. His tater tots were awesome though! My partner's cole slaw tasted rancid. He said that it was made with yogurt and I told him that he was wrong. We asked the server and she told us that it was mayonnaise and vinegar based. We stopped eating the slaw. We had an appetizer of calamari and it was okay. It just wasn't seasoned at all. Our server was so sweet, efficient and attentive. She was great. We left the restaurant before nine, so we didn't have to deal with cigarette smoke. read more

Without a doubt a "local's bar". I lived next door for a few years and recently moved - still go back. The food is good, the beer is ice cold and a great selection on tap. Always know the regulars and the bartenders. I always seem to end up here. It may not be everyone's haunt, but if a local bar is what you're looking for, this is your place. I think this place has some pretty dang-good food. I had the hickory burger which was done extremely well. My girlfriend had the chicken salad on a croissant that was also tantalizing. They even had a good beer selection with a waitress that knew a lot about the beers. My ONLY complaint is that it isn't a smoke-free place. I hate leaving a place smelling like smoke for the rest of the evening. It's not really a good date place...more like a place to bring a group of guys and reminisce on your college days and the stupid pranks you pulled off with your fraternity brothers while drinking an insane amount of beer. read more

N. Highland Pub is a small bar that offers a fair range of beers and bar food for the average consumer. There's nothing terribly exciting about the bar (aside from the amazing walking distance to my apt, next door), except their kitchen stays open late. If you are planning to grab just a beer or cocktail before dinner, beware of the overwhelming odor of cigarette smoke and leave your dry clean only jacket in the car. Aside from the smoking (which is only an issue if you are a non-smoker and prefer not to smell like smoke for the remainder of the evening), it's a great place to watch a game and plays some tunes on the jukebox. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and parking is fair (lot and street parking available). Bottom line: this place does the trick when you are looking for some wings and a 420 while you catch a game. read more

Favorite go to spot! Drinks are always A1 nice and sting even the specials. We've tried a variety of foods from the menu all great from egg rolls to the blackened chicken Alfredo and the $2 tacos all great. They have a really nice variety of house sauces they're all really good too. read more

The most friendly bar in Inman park! I moved a block away from this gem, I like to call my living room now. I've met the most amazing people who I can now call my friends. This place is full of regulars from the neighborhood always friendly and open for new additions into the fam! Easy, cheap drinks. The pub food is great for pub food. I'd recommend the soup of the day because they are made from scratch daily and always tasty! The wings are BoMb, definitely a fan favorite. They are crispy, meaty and pretty darn good! Lemon pepper, Cajun, Chicago rub are dry and crispier! Those are my fave. Be sure to get a drink from Jerry the bartender, he is awesome! If you start coming to the pub, he will learn your drink of choice and it will be ready for you as soon as you sit. read more

I've been here a couple times now but only now have I found a reason to go ahead and bless this joint with one of my reviews. JK. I'm a no body and had a pretty good time and thought I'd finally write this joint a review. This place is like the literal definition of a neighborhood pub. Like if you looked up "neighborhood pub" in the dictionary and there was a picture of a "neighborhood pub", because you're apparently reading a children's dictionary, and then transported yourself into that picture... because it's a children's dictionary in a Harry Potter movie, you would find yourself at this place. And I mean to say that as a completely positive thing. By looks and decor it is pretty unassuming. Just your standard long bar with bar stools a few booths and then some hightop tables in the back. I mean aesthetically there is nothing spectacular about this place. The bartenders are pretty generic looking, the set up is generic, everything is pretty generic. What's not generic is the personality and overall atmosphere of the people that work there and the patrons. Just a quick look around the joint and I thought to myself "O.M.G. everyone is having such a great time.." and that made me automatically have a good time. It's loud, but not obnoxiously so loud that you can't hear your own conversations. It's loud enough to where you can say something really raunchy about your mate's mom and no one outside of your immediate social gathering be able to hear you. And everyone is friendly with everyone else. I would think that if you didn't know anyone and wanted to make friends, hit up this place because you're surely to leave with some. Everyone is in the middle of a side conversation and cross conversation and counter conversations. Just fun. Eddy walked in and I yelled across the bar "Yo Eddy, about time you got the sand out of your vagina and showed up." and he yelled back "yah yah, I was busy breaking in your sistah" and then everyone laughs. (I don't know Eddy and all of this happened in my head). Not only is this "neighborhood pub" a super fun place to exist the food is actually a place I go to for the food. The wings are legit. I'm more of a fan of the saucy wings and wings that are so spicy I feel them come out but the wings here are so good. The Chicago Rub is really good. It's like a slightly spicy, salty, sweet, savory, blend of erotica in my mouth. I think that's what they call "umami" on fancy cooking shows. But let's be honest, this is Yelp and my name is Nishit, we don't use "umami" here. The other night I had the Philly with tater tots. Best decision ever. They're not shy with the mushrooms (I love mushrooms) and they use like a white Mexican cheese dip sauce as the cheese in there. It's SOLID. Everything isn't good. Definitely ask the server for recommendations. A buddy of mine got some chicken egg roll thing and he had half a bite and said it was the worst thing he's ever put in his mouth. And I'd put money on the fact that there have been some really nasty things in his mouth. Definitely check this place out, try the wings, get to know Eddy. You'll have an amazing time. Finally, shout out to our server. I think she's new to serving, but maybe not. My first time meeting her she started off really friendly, and then got nervous it seemed. It's like she wanted to keep being friendly but was afraid she'd get in trouble if she was too friendly. The last time we had her she was more friendly. She has this naive school girl thing about her and it works. She's a blast! I bet she can throw some real zingers too. Perfect neighborhood dive. Good food, cold drinks and sports on the three TVs. The sort of place where "everybody knows your name." I think the max capacity is 89 people so it never gets uncomfortably crowded and isn't predatory on weekend nights. A bar for people who just want to go chill at a bar. The food is great, too. I've never had anything I didn't like and see people in all the time just to eat lunch or dinner. Since technically a bar, smoking is allowed after 9pm which is kind of annoying if you're not a smoker but usually doable since the space doesn't accommodate a lot of people. Bar status also means no children allowed. There are drink and food specials throughout the week and trivia on Tuesday night. Ate lunch there last Friday 4/20 and burger was decent, even though spaced-out bartender put in order wrong after she asked me what I wanted on it 3 different times. ***Bartender either drunk, high or both*** She also allowed 3 different tables to come in then leave after 10 minutes of never coming to their table. Gets better. 2 people called management while there getting awful service and she no-charged an additional 2 customers because she "couldn't find their tabs?" This is my go to spot in Inman Park. Everything on the menu is delicious. The reggae rolls with the raspberry dipping sauce is my absolute favorite! The wings are great and the fried pickles are delicious. Take out is always ready in 10-15 minutes. Love the pub! read more

Food Poisioning! Don't Go! My wife and I went there last week. I ordered the Phili Chicken with Tater Tots. Got home and 6-7 hours later started throwing up. Was out for the count for 4 days. I have never had food poisoning before and haven't thrown up in 10+ years. Worst part was I called after I recovered and spoke to the GM, Jen. The first thing she said to me after I told her I thought I had gotten food poisoning was that food poisoning takes 12 hours before it hits. A. She never even asked how long it had been since I ate before I got sick-she was immediately defensive and B. This isn't true, it often happens in 4-6 hours after consuming the contaminated food. (googled it). She showed ABSOLUTELY no sympathy whatsoever and NEVER even uttered an apologetic word. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE. YOU WILL BE SORRY. I will never go back and I will make sure everyone I know avoids the place. Too bad, I have been there for beers and I like the vibe. I would continue going there for beers if not for the fact that the GM of this place showed no concern for me and the fact that I was laid up for the 4 days (missing work) after unfortunately going there for dinner last week. read more

I just moved down the street from here a few weeks ago, and have been a number of times, and each time has been great. Whether on my own or with others, the bartender/servers are always very friendly and accommodating. Sometimes there seems to be only one person working the entire place, though, which can slow things down a bit. It can get very busy when games are on. The food is very reasonably priced, and always very good, both for dining in and takeout. The buffalo buffalo burger is great, as are the chicken fingers and the reggae rolls! They have a great beer selection too, also very reasonably priced. Overall, I'm happy this spot is around the corner from me and I look forward to continuing to visit! read more

A friend and I went there for Inman Park Restaurant Week on the last day! There were two options for $15: 1 appetizer and two entrees or 1 appetizer, an entrée and a dessert. Of course we chose the 2nd option. She ordered the reggae rolls and veggie burger for the appetizer and entrée. I ordered the spinach dip and salmon burger as my meal. Unfortunately, they ran out of the salmon patty so they ended up giving me a piece of salmon for my burger. I didn't mind at all! The burger was really good with the avocado lime mayo. I ordered the black beans and rice as my side option and there is some type of seasoning in it that makes it very different. I still cant put my name on it. Loved the spinach dip. One thing I will say is there was only one waitress serving the entire restaurant. Granted the place isn't big; there should been two servers because she had to take the orders, bring the food and process the checks. We ended up waiting long than normal and she ended up charging my friend the wrong amount on her bill. They definitely need more servers. read more

What I love about the Pub is the variety in cuisine. If you want something clean and healthy get the Southwest Chicken Salad (impeccable!) Or if you feel like throwing back some beers and getting something greasy they have an excellent Build Your Own Burger menu. Can't recommend this place more! read more

I've been here twice since last week. Nice atmosphere, not very big so if you're coming with a group during busy hours it might be a while until you get a table. On my first visit I had the buffalo buffalo burger which was delicious. I was there last night for taco Tuesday ($2 tacos and $4 margaritas) well the tacos were not good at all.. They were as Mexican as Taco Bell tacos are but at the same time I can't complain much because I went to a pub for taco Tuesday? The margaritas were great and so was the service, our waitress was fantastic! I'd recommend this place but don't get their tacos, go with a burger instead. read more
