I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Oliboli Donuts, but I was pleasantly surprised. Their yeast-raised, fermented dough creates a soft, fluffy, and airy donut that doesn't leave you feeling weighed down afterward. Every donut is fried to order so they come out fresh, warm, and so delicious! The donuts range from about $5.50 to $7 each - pricier than your average donut shop but the quality is evident in every bite. We waited about 8-10 minutes after ordering since there were a few people ahead of us, but the fresh-to-order experience made the wait worthwhile. My favorite was the Butter Pecan (not a flavor I'd normally choose). It had great flavor/texture and even had a hint of saltiness at the end of each bite . The Strawberry Glaze made with Harry's strawberries was another standout; fresh-tasting and flavorful without any artificial sweetness. Parking is shared with neighboring businesses. We visited on a Friday afternoon and had no trouble finding a spot, but the lot is fairly small and will likely get crowded during peak hours and weekends.
As someone who lives nearby, this spot satisfies the craving of a sweet tooth. Absolutely has to be eaten fresh. Great service in a friendly store front. There are seats indoor and outdoor, pets welcome I think... I bring mine. Must try! Community favorite. Not your average donut so don't expect average donut prices.
Super bummed about Oliboli. Got the banana, cinnamon sugar and maple. Basically these things all seem like the same base and they put different glazes on them. They are kind of just big, firm, bready donuts. And the proportion of dough is way off with the tiny bit of glaze they put on each. And I could not taste the maple or banana.... so really faint flavors here. It's a monotonous thing to eat. Is there something I'm not getting here? Anyway Sidecar and The Goods are leaps and bounds better.
This might be my new favorite doughnut spot! I saw this place listed as one of the top donut shops in Orange County, so I had to see for myself. The inside was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. I've heard the lines can get long, but we came on a saturday morning and there was barely a wait. They had a good selection of donuts with flavors for everyone. Service was quick and efficient with no complaints. The donuts are fried to order and honestly came out way faster than expected. We also grabbed coffee, I got the maple shaken espresso and it was really good. Strong coffee flavor, creamy, and not overly sweet. Now for the best part... the donuts! They were hot and pillowy soft just melted in your mouth! My favorite was the strawberry glazed, sooo good! If you're in Tustin, I'd say this is one of the best donut spots in the area!
Donuts are one of my favorite pleasures in life. This place, discovered accidentally while out for other responsibilities in the area, was a delight. The delicious donuts did have a clean, fresh taste - and they did make them once we'd ordered, so very fresh. Light, cheery, and clean ambiance with tables inside and a few outside. Great selection of donuts! I ordered a cinnamon sugar and a glazed. My husband ordered the cardamom bun and bambleberry (I think that's what they were called). These donuts are unique, huge, and tasty! I could taste a light flavor of sourdough, which is the base dough for all the donuts. I'm not a sourdough fan, but it was so faint that it only added to the flavor. So that worked. We ate two served warm. The other two we ate later in the day, and they tasted great at room temperature, too. This is a great donut place. Creative and excellent.
Not a huge donut fan but I had to try this place out cause I happened to pass by. Drawn by the lingering smell coming through the door, I was lured in. The store was very clean and welcoming. I was recommended to try their Butter Pecan donut and it was delicious. I expected it to be overly sweet, but the saltiness balanced it out. Despite all the donuts being made to order, they were able to get it out fast. If I plan to be in the area again, I will make sure to make a visit.
So excited to have finally tried this donut place. The place is super cute and the vibes is bright and light. Each person working was friendly and pleasant when asking my annoying questions. I got the ricotta and jam donut, the Meyer lemon donut, and the banoffe. Each donut is made to order, where do you get that kind of freshness from a donut shop?! The dough is so damn light, fluffy and all the ingredients taste so fresh and interesting for me to say..healthy? The donuts aren't donut shop cheap but A must try if you are in the OC area!
I wished I lived closer to Oliboli Donuts as they have the freshest yeast donuts in Orange County. Personally, I'm a cake donut kind of girl, but the fluffiness and deliciousness of Oliboli's sourdough yeast donuts have me rethinking my allegiance to cake donuts. We came on a Sunday afternoon and I was immediately drawn to their case of yummy and aesthetically pleasing looking donuts. I ended up going with the "Bumbleberry Glazed" ($5.50) which is a combination of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry glaze atop of their 40 hour fermented sourdough yeast donut. Their donuts are fried to order so mine arrived perfectly warm and is definitely one of the best yeast donuts I've ever had. Service is friendly, and the shop is clean with ample amount of indoor and some outdoor seating so you can enjoy your donut right then and there. I can't wait to come back to try more of their other flavors!
Loved the hot, made fresh donuts!! This is a family owned business and they care about their donuts. Made when you order them and they are soft, just chewy, packed with flavor and served hot. What a treat! The staff gladly answer questions. They smile and are friendly and you can tell they care and have fabulous customer service. It's easy to get to in downtown old Tustin area off of First street. Plenty of parking. Seating inside or on patio. Clean and inviting wherever you choose to sit and enjoy!
I'm a lucky girl that some people gifted me a box of Oliboli donuts this morning for a meeting! They were coming down from OC and surprised me with the store's box of 6 plus bought the seasonal guava cream one as well. I thought i heard on IG that someone from Sidecar Donuts opened Oliboli? I am not a fan of yeast based donuts as they tend to be dry after a few hours. The donuts at Oliboli are sourdough yes? And they definitely had a different 'chew' to them (in a good way). Box includes 1 of each: Chocolate Glazed, Rainbow Sprinkle, Guava Glazed, Meyer Lemon, Sugar, Raspberry Lychee I was told the donuts were hot and fresh when picked up but cooled when they got to San Diego. I still ate tried them as quickly as possible though! And now have the biggest stomach ache from all the sugar (again, I'm a lucky girl to have all 7 donuts to myself). My thoughts of the ones in box of 6: Chocolate : really liked the semi sweet/darker chocolate as it wasn't too sweet and the glaze was thicker Rainbow sprinkle : just ok Guava glazed: the glaze really was great and tasted of legit guava Meyer lemon: just ok Sugar: dry as it was just standard sugar on donut (I think it kinda melts some of the sugar when it was hot) Raspberry Lychee: liked the glaze as it was fun surprise to really taste the lychee! Guava Cream Cheese (I think $7.75?) Guava glaze, guava pudding, whipped cream cheese, guava drizzle, coconut streusel : THIS donut was my favorite !! The whipped topping was truly a delight and tasted fresh and fluffy. This was a substantial donut that I felt was worth the dollar amount (compared to others) The fried donut base of all the donuts was consistent and pretty much the same. It does feel pretty heavy in the stomach but then again, I did try all 7 donuts in a span of two hours (don't judge). I have a feeling they won't be good the next day hence why I wanted to give into the gluttony of trying them all as fresh as possible. Would i drive all the way to Tustin from SD for these donuts? Probably not. Would I go visit them if I was in Tustin - yes, depending on the flavors. Would I be happy if Sidecar had their same dough and flavors on their own menu - YESSSsS! Or, maybe Oliboli could open a location here in beautiful SD too ya know :)
Best donuts everrrr. Sourdough yeast, light and fluffy and way too easy to eat. I got the maple and my family got chocolate, cinnamon sugar, bumbleberry and we got 1 plain. All of them are our favorite LOL. Not sure you could go wrong. Also got the strawberry matcha which was a little too sweet for us. Coffee was good though! Service was friendly and we got the donuts pretty quickly. It's little small inside but there is decent amount of seating.
Oliboli has long been on my list of donut spots to check out; after talking with a friend (... at the gym!), who'd shared his recent pictures, I was determined to go that day. Located in a quaint shopping center, we easily found a parking space in front (during a weekday, mid-afternoon). Unlike any other doughnut shop I've visited, I was immediately impressed with the spaciousness of this bright-&-airy shop -- more like a coffee shop than a traditional doughnut shop, with synthetic wicker chairs (24 seats inside, with a table for 2 outside), conducive for hanging out. We were fortunate to be greeted and assisted by Bailey on this 1st visit; I appreciated her positive energy and knowledge as she informed us of their sourdough donut process, explaining that the orders are prepared fresh , and introduced us to their attractive offerings in their display case. Unfortunately, not for those gluten sensitive. We ordered one of their specialties, Banoffee ($7.95) and Butter Pecan ($5.75), as well as (2) 12 oz. coffee ($4.00 each). Having a comfortable seating area is wonderful, to be able to immediately enjoy our treats with a hot cup of coffee -- the only way to go! Opening the donut box served as a sturdy, flat surface (or plate). We both appreciated the delightfully soft-&-fluffy textures, the warmth of our freshly made donuts, and the tasty flavors (appreciatively not overly sweet!). Definitely not a place in which I'd order a dozen doughnuts to share with others, but I'm eager to return to experience more of their menu items. Fun and tasty experience and find!
I am back on my matcha crave so last couple months I just want to go and try out any places that have matcha (and refuse to make matcha at home myself even though I have everything to make my own ceremonial grade matcha!) I went to Oliboli last weekend because I was in the area and was really thirsty for some matcha and didn't want to drive out of the way to some of my frequently matcha stops, so I Yelped and decided to stop by Oliboli because they seemed to have matcha on their menu! This is an example of stumble upon something good without knowing it experience in your life kind of moment. I went for matcha but was so happy I also go donuts that I didn't even know I need! I ordered their Banofee (banana and coffee), strawberry rhubarb, and bumble berry, and an iced matcha latte with almond milk. I got the matcha first and it was so good! Tasted so healthy and the quality of the matcha was really good! I had my dog with me so I was in and out of the shop. It was my first time there too so it took a while for them to give me the donuts so I thought they forgot about me because I didn't see any donuts for a while. Then I asked someone for my donuts and she checked and said they are still working on it because they fry them upon order! Good lord, "fry" is the word I dread to hear because I have been pretending to be in denial that donuts are not fried. Anyway but I digressed. My point is, when they gave me my donuts in a box, I just felt so happy! I opened it up inside the shop and took photos and they smelled and looked so good and it made me feel so good and so bad at the same time! Mind you, this was after I came to pick up my healthy meal preps for the week too! In summary, if you happen to be in the area, do make a point to stop here ANY time of the day because they made your donuts to order and they are SO SO good!!!!!!!! Absolutely love Oliboli! Gone multiple times and every seasonal flavor is always a hit. There's so many coffee spots in Tustin, but they still have great coffee. The staff is always super nice and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but usually a bit of a wait since they create everything made to order. Pro tip: order ahead and walk over to Peppertree park for a nice picnic. read more

Delightfully fresh and fluffy! Made to order donuts. The staff are genuinely friendly. The decor inside makes you want to sit and just enjoy the vibe. I you live near Tustin must try this place. Donuts they always make fresh everyday. It melts in your mouth. Also you have to try there Banoffee Latte its is so delicious!! You can't drink this anywhere but here. Inside is cute and modern interior with lots of seating area. Their service was great very polite. I would highly recommend to my friends. Heaven - just pure heaven! Hubby and I were running errands over the weekend and I had a craving for some sweets. We did a little search around us and found Oliboli. THE MOOD: Oliboli is in a cute little plaza in Tustin. There's tables inside and some outside. It feels spacious indoors and the tables are spaced out enough so that you feel like you can relax (without feeling cramped) while you enjoy your donuts and coffee. The inside feels nice, bright, and happy with their decor. When you walk in, you have the donuts behind a glass counter on the right, cash register and menu in the middle, and coffee magic happening on the left. Behind all of that is where the donuts are being made fresh. THE FOOD: I've got no shame in my game - we've gone back to Oliboli 2 weekends in a row! Their donuts are made fresh to order with a 40 hour fermentation process. So that means your box of donuts come out WARM and you can feel the love with each bite. So far, I've had the following: -Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler: This is like a warm strawberry shortcake. The dollop of cream on top was so light and fresh - the strawberry and warm chewy dough of the donut was just delightful and had the perfect chew. -Butter Pecan: This donut is dipped in brown butter maple glaze and was generously topped with roasted pecan toffee pieces. It had such a great crunch and chew texture and went so well with my coffee. -Coco Pecan: This is similar to the Butter Pecan, but think a nice glaze of chocolate. -Vermont Maple Glazed: This was a classic maple glazed donut - so simple, yet so delicious. -Bumbleberry: This one was a very colorful bright reddish donut that is dipped in a glaze made of wild blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. -Banoffee: Think bananas and toffee. It's banana whipped cream, toffee sauce, and streusel. -Meyer Lemon Glazed: This donut is a lemon glazed and had a nice balance of lemon flavor without being overpowering. THE 'TUDE: Each time we've gone so far, we've been greeted with smiles and the staff were really helpful and nice. OVERALL: With plenty of seating, delicious warm donuts, and nice relaxing vibes, we will definitely be back! read more
One of the best donut places! Fried-to-order yeasted sourdough donuts glazed with fresh fruit jam. There's always seasonal flavors so be sure to re-visit often. Best to enjoy them while in the shop (there are tables/chairs inside and outside)... warm, fluffy and just the perfect amount of sweetness. You can even order drinks or they have self-service water station. Got the peach glazed and Harry's Berries strawberry glazed. Peach glazed fruity sweetness is more subtle, while strawberry glazed flavor is much more noticeable. Staff is very friendly, and atmosphere is relaxed. Amazing donuts!! I heard about Oliboli Donuts through a friend and we had to try their sour dough starter donuts. It was ~ $30 for a half dozen which is a little steep, but I think it is worth it if you are interested in freshly made, fluffy donuts with specialty flavors. My favorite flavors in order: banoffee, butter pecan, lemon, strawberry, humbleberry, and cinnamon sugar. My boyfriend also loved the banoffee and lemon. Absolutely recommend the banoffee and that is coming from a girl who dislikes banana flavored things, but truthfully you can't go wrong with any flavor here. I have been wanting to try this place out for a while. We came by Sunday afternoon at 2pm. They still have everything in stock. They said they make donut glazed after the order is packed. I tried the banana glazed and the lemon glanced. Both came out nice and warm. I like the banana glazed more than the lemon one. They both came out to be almost $11 for 2 donuts. I would come back more often but it is kind of pricey for donuts. Plenty of parking. Friendly service. They do have a nice indoor area for dine in. read more

Five stars for a donut shop? Yes. Read on. One thing to know is the place is open until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. We decided to try Oliboli after finishing our dinner at the reliably good Orange Roll and Sushi in the same center. The donuts appear to me to order, which something I've never previously encountered during a lifetime of eating donuts every now and then. The donuts aren't cheap, and I don't think they should be. You can expect to pay at least roughly $5.00 each, and it goes up from there. Bear in mind the donuts are basically gourmet donuts. The service was friendly. Ambience wise, the interior is a nice space. I will get them again the next time I'm in the mood for fancy donuts. read more
I ordered for pick up early in the morning, and it was ready exactly at 8:30am. It was really nice coming in to hear that they were glazing and frying the last donut of my order. Everything is really made fresh; the glazes were still dripping when packed so please be careful driving it around until it cools. The place is really cute, cozy, and quiet with minimal seating by the windows. Parking is super tight, so avoid during peak hours. The texture of the dough is an airy bread with a good bite, but I couldn't taste the sourdough. Unfortunately, the only donut I enjoyed was the chocolate glazed- not too sweet at all because it's dark chocolate. The other donuts were all overly sweet or the flavors were not up to par with the name. For instance, I couldn't detect vanilla bean in the cacao nib donut. Banoffee only tasted of banana. The three cheese donut, nearly $14 for one, was really just a hunk of bread with very little, anticlimactic filling. Insane pricing for a single bread that was mostly air. Overall, I love sourdough and it's not easy finding sourdough donuts so worth trying at least once. However, it's just super sugary and does not justify the very steep prices ($5-9 for a donut) for not so premium flavors. I would gift this to someone for the novelty but will not return for myself. read more
I love sourdough and donuts so this place is a dream come true! I finally made it in today and ordered a cardamom bun and strawberry donut. The cardamom bun was delicious and perfect for anyone who likes the spice. Now the strawberry glazed was easily the best donut I've ever had. I was shocked after I bit into it and wished I had gotten 10 more. Why are more places not frying their donuts to order? So good! read more
I have had the pleasure of enjoying Oliboli many times. Shoutout to my friend Jason for introducing me to this incredible place. It's not the easiest place to get to especially if you're in any beach town but well worth the trek. Recently I went with my family over the holiday to introduce them to one of my favorite donut spots in the OC. Needless to say they instantly became fans. I love that they're open later in the day. Huge shoutout to them for that. The donuts are made fresh and worth the little wait you have once you make your order. Top forever favorite is the Meyer lemon but this time around a new favorite came to play. The brown butter crumble was impeccable. Sweet, salty and pillowy. We also enjoyed a mocha which I highly recommend, it was perfect. Love you guys! Keep making amazing donuts. And please open another location in the OC. We need you. read more

If you want hot off the press fresh donuts, this is it! They have limited variety flavored/concoctions of donuts. We got the crunchy coffee, maple walnut and the most recommended Banafee donuts. All were really good and melt in your mouth. Very cute cafe and plenty of of table to enjoy your donuts with your choice of poison! Plenty of parking as well. At the end of the hall, you can watch your donuts taking shape. A bit pricey but so, so good. read more

I made it during rush hour wooooo! Even when the place is packed you do not wait very long for your order. I had never really had a warm donut before this so it was a very charming surprise and it almost enhanced the flavors. (I saved some for later and they keep week but taste exceptionally well when fresh) I enjoyed the complex and unique flavors in the blossom donut. I also loved the tartness in the raspberry lychee flavor. Its too bad I live so far! The service was efficient and friendly! The facilities were also clean even when filled with people. read more

I stopped by this place because of the raving reviews and it was near a place where I had grabbed some drinks. There aren't that many flavors like the usual donut shop but these are fresh and have some seasonal flavors. I decided to get the butter pecan and bumbleberry glazed. These are close to $6... saw some others are close to $8 but I'll save that for a different time along with a drink. Love how it's fresh and hot after you order it. This reminds me of JD Flannel Doughnuts in San Juan Capistrano but those are more cake donuts and farther away from me. read more

THE BEST DONUTS IVE EVER HAD! located in a tiny plaza with a parking lot shared with other restaurants so be aware that parking may be difficult to find depending on the time. service is fast and friendly! some inside and outside seating. the donuts are on the pricier side but i think it's definitely worth the splurge considering how they are made to order and they are specialty donuts the donuts were so FRESH AND WARM! it was so pillowy!! it was like biting into a cloud! not oily at all (not sure how they hold up over the course of a day/week). i ordered a banana toffee donut and it had such a yummy banana pudding filling! i do wish there was more toffee flavoring, regardless, it was so good that i can easily overlook it. it is pretty sweet but it isn't too jarring nor did i felt sick afterwards. to balance out the sweetness from the donut, i ordered a latte which was pretty good! fresh and not acidic ! i HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND !! i am excited to come back and try their other donuts and seasonal flavorings! :)) read more

This is my favorite spot for specialty donuts in OC. I'm a sucker for simple donuts, don't need the maple bacon or crazy flavors that some spots offer. This donut shop does not mess with their quality even if it's at a higher price. They make the donuts hot for you on the spot so be sure to enjoy it while it's warm. The fluffiness of the sourdough is incomparable, and I love their strawberry flavor. The staff was attentive and kind. There are a couple tables for you to enjoy your donut in the store. My only complaint is that they don't open late besides Saturday nights. This would hit on a weeknight. read more

The donuts are amazing! Warm, soft, chewy, and not too sweet. I tried the Bumbleberry Glazed, Holiday Sprinkle, and Brown Butter Crumble. They're all light and fluffy, so you can easily eat a few without feeling too heavy. Holiday Sprinkle was my favorite one. It tasted like a sugar cookie. Sourdough donuts were made when ordered! They were nice and warm, light and airy with just the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were bold and you can taste the freshness in the fruit they used such as the fresh strawberries, meyer lemons, and blueberries. My favorite of the 4 donuts we tried in this order: 1. strawberries 2. blueberries 3. butter pecan 4. meyer lemon. The vanilla latte had real vanilla beans and tasted great! Oliboli- I had been wanting to try their donuts after following them on Instagram for a year or so & had an opportunity to stop by with my daughter. Located in Tustin on 1st street, there is plenty of parking in the lot that is shared with other businesses. I had initially ordered 4 donuts (sprinkle, butter pecan, bumble-berry & Meyer lemon) but ended up ordering a few more to take home. The interior is decorated for spring/easter & there is seating inside and a few outdoors. It's impeccably clean inside & the restroom was clean as well. Customer service was wonderful. My daughter loves to chat & the sweet cashier chatted with her & was so kind. The donuts were amazing, the butter pecan was sweet & salty & the strawberry was so good as well. I loved that they are made to order so you can enjoy the fluffy, sweet donut piping hot right then and there. I love taking my little one on donut dates & can't wait to come back with my husband as well! read more
These donuts are absolutely delicious! My family and I love sourdough and the thought of a sourdough doughnut being made was awesome so we had to try it. Super cute spot! Good coffee, good donuts. They are a little pricey, but absolutely worth it. They are made fresh to ordered and honestly don't taste like your typical boring donut. This place has become my favorite donut coffee spot. The donuts are chef's kiss. Not super sweet, just right. Not greasy at all. And so light. I have brought my whole family. This is almost a weekly stop for my husband, son and I. The owner Victor is always around making sure everyone is well, talks to his customers makes us feel like old friends catching up. Very kind staff all around. They also host jazz night which we discovered not long ago. Tonight was jazz night and loved the artists. Nothing like good music, good people, good treats/coffee, good vibes all around for a Friday night! Definitely recommend this place. A must stop for anyone coming from out of town/state! I came in skeptical. All the social medias rate this place as being one of the best in Orange County. The shop itself is pleasant and I feel like it's a place anyone could go and hang. It's nice when families can go sit and spend time with their families without feeling like they don't belong. The employees are welcoming and we're great at giving information about the doughnut options that had at the moment. Pricing of the doughnuts are a little on the high side. Seeing the prices I myself was hoping not to like them. For a seasonal doughnut it was around 8-ish dollars. These doughnuts are made to order and take a little time, but you know you are getting them fresh. I was still in sticker shock and thought they can not be that good, then I grabbed a fork went into the car to try them fresh. I put my fork in and was like oh no. The fork made a crunch noise from the light flaky outer layer. I knew they were going to be good. With the fermented dough and definitely using quality ingredients, how could it not be?! The bread of the doughnut is light with beautiful air pockets to keep it fluffy. The flavors all fit well with the doughnut. They were not too sweet and each were exactly how you would imagine the flavors being. I tried the seasonal pumpkin pie and it turned out to be my favorite! The classic glaze and the Halloween were similar and both equally tasty! So complaining about the price I can say I get why the price. Will they ever offer gluten free options?
I called to ask if you still make a vegan treat but got forwarded to an order sight and hung up on. I have no idea if you still make a vegan donut but won't be heading there right now? 🤷🏻♀️
They typically had one vegan cake donut on the menu every time I have gone. Hope this helps :)
Does anyone know when Oliboli Donuts will have their Oliboli mini donut bites/holes? I was able to get it once (I don't remember what month) and ever since (I've been back two or three times), they always tell me it's seasonal.

Yes they are... and they are warm in the box... the most amazing donuts I've ever had!!!
Do they make their own dough?
Yes. We use a 40 hour fermentation for our dough, made from scratch in house!
Is Chai latte discontinued?
They don't have a chai donut but they do still offer chai lattes on their drink menu (not sure which you are referring to)
How's their coffee?
I had the Americano during my last visit. It was good. Doesn’t have the overextract acidity so the brew time is right. Not sure what type of beans are used, it was on the nutty side and less on the fruity. Aroma is plenty.

Yes, but the price is still per donut. When you buy a dozen, you get one donut free.
Do they have olibollen (Dutch donut filled with jams)?
They call it an Olibollen. Check out the description of the donut on their website and see if it fits. I had one yesterday!

I have not seen any during my visits. I would guess they would like to establish things before they head in that direction.

They don't post that specifically but I know the donuts are fried in coconut oil. They are so friendly and wonderful there; definitely ask! :)
