We made a late stop here and sat at the bar. We got a drink and the cheese dip. The dip was really big and good. The service was very mid. It's convenient and open late but unfortunately also reliably kind of gross and very over priced for the quality. On the positive side there is ample parking, good space inside, and good service but the food is a complete disaster. My last order was honestly inedible and had to be thrown away and I was shook to the core to see the "truffle fries" were $11. These fries literally made me gag with each bite, they were like the least potato like fry I've ever seen and just repugnant, the bread pudding was actually about 2 pounds of solid hard stale dense bread. The Brussels sprouts were almost tolerable. The food is very "sports bar" food, but with prices of upscale dining. $11 for truffle fries I could completely understand at a different place. If you get there before seven on Wednesday you can get a decent table wine for a cheap price. Dinner for two with wine is under $120. I have made this my go to spot! What caught our eye was the conflicting statements- organic eatery and sports bar so we thought let's give this a try. Upon walking in the place is very sports bar like but clean and very stylish. We sat wherever and were greeted right away by our waitress who came over quite frequently because we were so undecided. I ended up getting the blackberry Mojito for starters and that thing was soo good I watched the bartender make that thing with Percision. Famished, we ended up splitting a half order of nachos- Queso, guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, and jalapeños these basic ingredients made pure deliciousness. I think it's because the cheese did not taste like your typical old cans of nacho cheese it was very seasoned and very delicious as well as the jalapeños and all the other garnish that was fresh. For my entrée because we had the nachos I decided to scale back and I just got The chicken tacos. Once again another basic dish so extremely delicious the flavor was amazing and what I loved was our waitress ordered it for me as she liked it which was with a side of queso to put on top. My dinner companion got the wild caught salmon with the fig balsamic glazed biryani quinoa on the side. That dish was absolutely amazing. And of course for dessert we finish it off with the banana bread pudding. So rich and decadent and tasty and bloated and full. Bartender up-sold us on the beef tallow wings and granted they're good but taste just like the regular ones (OTK wings are delicious but don't pay $3 for the up-charge). Ranch was yummy. Also the water or ice tasted like cinnamon/pumpkin. When I brought it up to the bartender he said "sometimes I drop stuff into the well" would prefer to be offered a bottle of water on the house, not an excuse. We came here after work to unwind. On the Kirb (OTK) had complimentary valet, which was good since their parking lot was scarce with spots. I think they share it with other businesses as well. We decided to sit at the bar, which seemed to be where most people felt comfortable sitting. It was pretty dim here as well. I had to use my iPhone light to look over their menu. The music here also left little to be desired. It was old pop music (think '70s or '80s music), and it didn't match the bar's feel. If you're a sports fan, I literally counted 13 flat screen TVs to watch all the sports you want. Aside from the ambience, we did get a free drink after checking in on Yelp. Nice. I just wished the drinks were better. All we could taste was the alcohol, but not the flavor of the drinks. My jasmina colada could've had more coconut flavor and sweetness. My sis wanted more mint flavor in her brojito. They do have daily food specials, but my sis and I just wanted to try the other food on their menu. For the appetizer, we ordered their brussel sprouts. OMG, it was soooo good. It was the best thing we've eaten that night. Tangy and crispy. It was delicious! I would definitely order this again in a heartbeat. As for the entrees, I ordered the beef shawarma wrap and my sis got their creole shrimp pasta. The beef in my wrap wasn't seasoned enough, and the pickle in it threw me off. My sis enjoyed her pasta. It was creamy enough with good texture, but she thought the shrimp could've been fresher. We did order their chocolate cake for dessert. It was more than enough to feed two people. The chocolate icing was needed, since the cake itself was kind of dry. We still enjoyed it since it was chocolatey. I did want to try their coffee here, since I love pairing it with dessert. But, it was bland and not much better than coffee served on an airplane. Don't get the coffee here. This place!! Wow!!! We ordered a Bavarian pretzel and the sunrise Kirby burger. The pretzel was big and good. The burger not so much. First she brought out the wrong burger. She was a waitress who did not write anything down and thought she was smart enough to remember what we had ordered, but she brought out the wrong burger in the first place, so we had to wait 30 min for the correct burger to be made, but it was supposed to be with an over medium egg and Not a clear white runny egg that came to the table!!! It is not supposed to be clear!!! The General Manager who didn't give his name and refused to give or know the owner of this establishment had the audacity to bring the burger back to our table and say it was cooked right!!! Ummm no!!!!! An egg with runny egg whites is NOT an over medium egg!! That was so rude and unprofessional as a "general manager".
