Chicken Skewer Hummus Moroccan Beef Green Herb Falafel Fries
    Shelly L.

Had such a great experience at Oren's Hummus! The falafel was phenomenal, the beef hummus was amazing, and the steak fries were absolutely delicious! The chicken thigh skewer came with two sides of your choice, which made it a great value for the price. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

I came here with a few friends for dinner at my friend's suggestion. We got there around 5, and there was no one in the restaurant. It filled up a bit more as we ate. I'm usually not a big hummus fan. I'll eat it if it's there as a snack/appetizer, but not as the main meal. I ordered the lamb hummus. It was very flavorful, and went perfectly with the fresh pita. The pita was warm and soft. I didn't think it would fill me up, but I was so wrong. Overall, I would recommend checking this place out.

Birthday lunch with my best friend! We had plans in the area so she picked Oren's Hummus for her celebratory meal. The food was decent and the service was fast. We came on a weekday afternoon. The restaurant is decently sized, cute, and super casual with indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated immediately and well cared for by all workers. My best friend and I split the Hummus Chicken and Australian Lamb Skewers. The hummus chicken was good and well seasoned with lots of hummus. The skewers were fine but only came with a few pieces of meat which were tough to cut into but were tender. The rice was fine but not too soft and the veggies were alright. I wouldn't be opposed to trying something else. Oren's Hummus is a fast-casual chain. Their location in Yerba Buena off 3rd Street is good. Street parking is tough but it's near garages and public transportation.

Pita sandwich is great! Lots loaded inside and a generous helping of hummus sauce Eggplant dips are delicious. there are 5 eggplant choices to choose from. If you order the chicken skewer plate (which is so juicy and delicious), you also get a choice of 2 dips. Also hummus and yogurt dip choices Beautiful space inside

Go-to spot for delivery, work lunch catering or a quick lunch spot in FiDi. We usually get lamb skewers, salads, and I love the hummus sabich (with friend eggplant). They also have whole wheat pita. The restaurant itself is never busy, and it's also great to take to go and eat at Salesforce Park.

To go. Chicken Schnitzel pita. Their.pita bread is super thick, soft. Choice regular or wheat. Their hummus is lovely. Service was super kind.

I could not have asked for a better dining experience at Oren's Hummus. My boyfriend and I had a lunch date after his conference at Moscone Center (just 5 minutes walking distance from the restaurant!) I've had Oren's Hummus on my bucket list for quite some time, but it wasn't until today that I had the chance to try their food. Everything we ordered was SO DELICIOUS! I'm a sucker for soft pita, and I was not disappointed when our waitress brought our pitas freshly-baked. We could see the steam when we tore the pitas apart! We also shared the chicken kebab platter (our 2 sides were the Israeli salad and beets), baba ghanoush, hummus, and a beef kebab a la carte. Standouts for me, aside from the pita, were the baba ghanoush and beef kebab! Would 100% come back again!

The best part is that walk-in brunch without a reservation is super easy. Bright and airy space. Decent food. Bottomless mimosas at the SF location only but found them to be mostly oj and too sweet. But fun alternative to the usual egg-forward brunch. The dip sampler is a nice mezze platter to share but wish they could swap out one of the three eggplant dips for something else. Really enjoyed the rice bowl with the beef kebab. Flavorful turmeric rice, moist meat, and bright herbs. Service was friendly. Pretty chill so you can hear each other but not an energetic spot by any means. Still good to have as a brunch standby in Union Square.

    Aareyas- delicious!

Enjoyed their menu special Aareyas today- with some Moroccan carrots and eggplant salad as sides- delicious and super filling. Also really great and attentive service. Perfect place for a casual dinner to catch up with friends. Enjoyed dinner and appreciate the staff for letting us hang out while they were closing up.

I only ordered the best hummus I have ever had. The jaffa hummus was thick and garlicky. A 100++. Had mt. Hernon white wine which was a perfect pairing. I am so happy I came. The staff explained everything checked in to make sure I was happy. Saw another patron about lick his dish and I thought I will be doing that next.

What a delicious meal of small plates and other Israeli specialties. A variety of silky hummus offerings, several eggplant dishes and roasted cauliflower make this a vegan delight. Israeli salad was classically prepared and the falafel was crispy and flavorful. My friend is gluten free and they had gluten free pita available. I took an order of beef kabob home to my husband and it was flavorful with a nice choice of sides. Israeli French fries are usually thick cut and these were piping hot with just the right amount of salt. It looks like they do a brisk takeout and delivery business and there are cases of prepared offerings to take home. When the server found out it was my friend's birthday, she brought over some lovely, flaky pastry.

I came in for a weekend late lunch, and had an excellent dining experience with service and food quality. The restaurant was pretty quiet, with plenty of indoor seating. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the kitchen processes. This was particularly helpful as I am vegetarian and I have celiac (strict gluten-free), so I worry about cross-contamination. They were very well aware of celiac, and how to make appropriate accomodations (e.g., separate area in kitchen, pita heated separately). I got the roasted vegetable skewer with muhamarra, jaffa-style hummus, and gluten-fre pita bread. Each component of the dish was wonderful! The gluten-free pita was soft, warm and fluffy. The muhamarra was a very unique dip; it was savory, red peppery and creamy. The hummus was thicker, and fresh with some pine nuts. The meals are on the pricier side, but I had no issues with any of the flavor! Overall, excellent choice for a nice mediterranean meal. However, a few days later I went for take-out, and ordered a gluten free pita sabich (eggplant) sandwich with a side of fries. Unfortunately when I got back to my hotel, I discovered they had given me a chicken sandwich instead. Due to distance and time constraints, I had to discard the sandwich, and ate the fries. I approached the restaurant later, and they handled the situation well, so I stuck with a 5/5 overall rating mainly due to quality of the dining-in meal.

I was in the area and happy to see a familiar brand I liked. I have been to a few of their other locations around the bay. The decor is similar to the one I frequent and the food was, not surprisingly, the same. I got a hot apple cider since it was a cold day which was a nice start. We got the sampler appetizer which was OK. The beef kebab was good. I got it with the labane and muhammara (had to pay more) which were both good too. Solid meal overall.w

I ordered the chicken and beef kabob plate, and while the meat was flavorful, I wish they included more hummus. At around $25- $30 per plate, I expected a more generous portion. I ordered takeout and arrived about an hour later because the app never updated to show my order was ready. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and they didn't start preparing my food until I got there. I mentioned that I had placed the order an hour earlier and expected it to be ready, but the server seemed to brush off my concern, which was disappointing. One highlight was the hot sauce. I'm not sure if it's house-made or not, but it's so good. The pita, however, was a letdown. I prefer my pita soft, fluffy, and warm, but this one was hard and grainy. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! It is not a sit-down restaurant and doesn't pretend to be. What it is, is consistently excellent food at prices that still make sense in a city where that's getting rare. We're regulars, and we usually go on Sunday evenings after my girlfriend gets off work. Falafel wrap and chicken shawarma are our usual order -- the falafel has that crisp-shell, tender-middle thing going, and the wraps are generously built. We've branched out plenty and everything we've tried has been good. The other reason we keep showing up is the people. Turna usually takes our order, and she is genuinely lovely -- friendly in a way that isn't a customer-service script. My girlfriend and I always walk out in a better mood than we walked in with, which is worth a lot. Practical notes: halal, lots of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, open until midnight Fri/Sat, and they cater. Grab some napkins if you're eating the wrap on the move -- it's a big one, and that's a compliment.

Tucked right in the heart of the Mission, this spot has been a neighborhood staple for a reason. The Shawarma (both beef and chicken) is the clear standout--perfectly seasoned, wrapped tight, and loaded with savory flavor. Their falafel is deliciously crispy on the outside while staying warm and fluffy on the inside. Portions are generous, making it an incredible value for San Francisco, and the house sauces tie everything together perfectly. The only reason it misses that fifth star is the limited seating and stripped-back atmosphere, which means it's much better suited for a quick bite or takeout rather than a long sit-down meal. But for top-tier, satisfying Mediterranean comfort food on the go, it's hard to beat!

Yes, it's a somewhat expensive dining experience but you are paying for top notch service and great quality food. I am not talking about these cheap midnight specials in Las Vegas. This is type of food where you take your time eating to savor your food to taste the silky texture of the meat or let the sauce soak into the octopus appetizer to soften it and tastes good. I would have ordered a salad but with the health scare of salads recall made me hesitant to order any, although the specials sounded great! You can still cannot go wrong as every dish was great experience and great execution. Love the melted cheeses in appetizer and custard in dessert with pistachio ice cream! The meats really shined as we asked for medium rare and both steak and lamb chops cooked perfectly. Would I go back? , oh yeah and splurge on this place for sure. It just felt special to me. That flourless cake by kitchen I was debating should I take the whole thing and run? lol Restroom is a maze I do must say as you take an elevator one level down.

The area itself can be a bit off putting with the number of unhoused individuals nearby, but once you're inside it's a completely different experience. Stephanie was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing. So warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Her service alone is one of the reasons we continue coming back. Being married into a family that specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, I admit I'm a bit biased. The flavors here lean more Greek inspired, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I found them to be a little too subtle for my personal taste. I tend to gravitate toward bolder Mediterranean flavors, so I wasn't extremely impressed by the food itself. That being said, I can absolutely understand why this restaurant is so popular. The dishes are approachable, balanced, and refined in a way that I think appeals to the American palate. The food is consistently good every visit. My favorite dish is the octopus, and I also love the biscuit platter from their selection of sweets. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The restaurant itself is beautiful, although the seating near the entrance can feel a little cramped when it's busy. The vibe is formal casual, if that makes sense. Maybe don't show up in training clothes like I did once, but even then they were nothing but kind and welcoming. Super cute spot and definitely the type of place where the men with trust funds who are somehow 6'5" seem to gather for lunch and after work drinks. Calling ahead for reservations is your best bet.

We ordered the Chicken Sandwich, Lamb Sandwich, Greek Fries, Juicy Potatoes, and Baklava Crumbles & Syrup. The Chicken Sandwich was very mediocre since it was pretty much just Shredded Chicken with Veggies and the Pita Bread, which also was a weird texture and meh in flavor. The Lamb Sandwich was was also very meh. The Lamb itself was on the tough side of life and this didn't really have any flavor to it besides the taste of Feta Cheese. The Greek Fries were the best thing and those were also pretty okay. They were nice and crispy but that was all. The Juicy Potatoes were indeed juicy, but that was really it. The problem was that they didn't have any flavor. The Baklava Crumbles and Syrup was okay. The Frozen Yogurt was okay and the Baklava that went with it was very meh in terms of taste and texture. This was definitely the worst Baklava tasting thing that I have tasted before and wish that there was the Pilo Dough to give it some texture instead of being mushy. Overall, very mediocre in taste and overpriced in terms of taste.

I arrived around 5:45PM and they had a few spots open. They have a good amount of tables, and the interior decor makes the entire spot feel elevated. I placed my order around 6PM and received my food around 6:40PM. I ordered a falafel appetizer and paired it with a Mixed Grill Kebab and a Beyti. The falafel was really crunchy and flavorful, and overall tasted freshly made. The Beyti was a more riskier dish we ordered, as we aren't as familiar with Mediterranean cuisine. It's basically the meat from the Kofte Kebab wrapped in a bread, with seasoned yogurt as dipping sauce. Since we were familiar with the Kofte taste, this dish was a good twist on the flavor and I would definitely recommend it, especially as a shareable plate! The Mixed Grill Kebeb took the show, because how can a chicken breast be so juicy? We ordered this one to taste all this establishment had to offer, and the chicken was arguably better than the lamb. The chicken breast was super juicy and flavorful, but the lamb felt a little under-seasoned and could've used a little bit more salt. Not a big fan of the gamey taste of lamb, but the lamb chop here had very little - to a point where it tasted GOOD. The seasoning they use is magical, and the hints of cumin mask the taste exceptionally well. Did I mention big portions and good service? I love how this place diverges from the small SF portions and gives you a fulfilling meal with leftovers if needed. We are so accustomed to not taking home leftovers when I remember getting leftovers everytime pre covid! Bursa is an amazing place to take the parents, the inlaws, or even visiting friends to experience one of the many pockets of SF's vibrant districts while getting yummy food without paying tech bro prices. I look forward to coming back, but wish I didn't exhaust all my conversation topics before finishing my meal.
