My first comment is for the service, it was very very good. Katrina was a pro and she made the experience a good one. She was friendly, described the specials, attentive and had a nice attitude. We ordered the Seared Ahi Sandwich and the Ono Fish Dinner. The Ono dinner was "onolicious" with a healthy portion of fish, mashed potato and sautéed red onions. The Seared Ahi Sandwich had nice portions of tuna, except it wasn't seared enough for my taste. It was like eating ahi tuna sashimi in a sandwich. That being said, the lettuce, ginger and daikon sprouts was a great addition to the sandwich. To top it off, we finished with the Mexican Creme Brûlée. Wow......it was a real treat. Beware because it's a little heavy but worth the extra calories on a weekend. I just need to run 25 miles now.... We enjoyed our meals and will be returning. I give it a 4+ rating for now. read more

I recently had dinner at Pacific Catch and found that they have an excellent variety of sushi, tacos, and other entrees. I ordered one roll of sushi and and one mahi-mahi taco. The sushi wasn't much better than average to me, and the taco was pretty good. The Mexican chocolate creme brûlée was truly superb, and by far the best part of the meal. Good service and atmosphere. My wife had been here and immediately fell in love with the menu so she had to take me. I had the Korean BBQ rice bowl with brown rice and greens. The meat was tender and awesome and the toppings were perfect. A bit too much sauce, but that's just my taste. The atmosphere is a bit more upscale than any other place in the Pruneyard, more of a Santana Row feel, but welcome in a strip mall of Rock Bottom and Outback Steakhouse. The menu was extensive with a variety of tacos, salads, and bowls. We'll be back. Gotta try the happy hour. Oh, bonus if you check in on Foursquare. Very good food! Nice atmosphere, a tad noisy - but the service and food make up for it :) Gabriel was our server and was very attentive. We started with the coconut Thai shrimp= excellent. And also the Baja Shrimp ceviche=very good. For dinner I had the grilled salmon salad=superb! My husband had the two taco meal with beans and a side salad. They give a choice which tacos you can have (mix/match) so he had mahi mahi and the cabo shrimp= he said they were very good! For dessert- the fried dulce de leche spring rolls. We also tried their desserts for the first time. They had homemade coconut ice cream, which was quite authentic and fresh tasting. The service level could be improved though. The waiters often take way too long between taking orders, giving bills, and taking payments. This is the only small suggestions I would recommend to the restaurant to improve their reputation. I love coming here on Saturdays for lunch, not too crowded and the eating area in the Indoor/Outdoor Area is awesome. I always get the rib bowl and sometimes order the steak and shrimp as an add-on. Had a simple fish & chips for lunch with spicy fries. The fish were cooked very well and was very tender. There was a bit of risidual oil on the plate from the frying but nothing near disgusting amounts, just enough to show it was hot out of the frier. Jalapeno tartar sauce and coleslaw came with the order but they were just ok run of the mill sauce/coleslaw. The spicy fries had a bit of heat and was a little salty but I didn't order fish and chips to be healthy. If you're thinking of getting the fish and chips definitely go for 4 pieces as the pieces are not huge. For the life of me I can't figure out why this place would get an average of four stars. Food was mediocre. I got the Korean salad. My daughter had deep fried chicken. My wife had... Well I can't say I remember... it wasn't memorable. Service, terrible. Our waitress, Kim, took our order and got us a couple drinks. When she dropped off our daughter's chicken, the waitress also dropped off an almost empty bottle of ketchup. Kid+ketchup=Happy. Kid-ketchup=whining. Who drops off an empty bottle of anything to a table. Almost every table had condiments. We had to ask for all of ours and went to find our own ketchup. The manager came by to ask how everything was going, before we got our food. I would never make a complaint about anything prior to getting food. I brought her here a while back, she had the California Salmon sandwich and I had the Grilled Salmon salad then we had a couple drinks.. mai-tai for me and long island for her.. great food! moist salmon & not over cooked plus her sandwich came piled .. and i mean PILED, she had to unhinge her jaw to bite! plus it came out quickly and the service was tip top! *i stand corrected, water is PURIFIED:) * I like their blue water bottles they leave on yr table, although it isn't purified water- at least I don't have to wait 10mins. if i'm choking on food:) nice touch! I had no idea Left of Albequrque had closed! A friend of mine recommended Pacific Catch so my wife and I made reservations on Open Table. We were early but they were able to seat us right away. The waitress was quite attentive and made some good wine recommendations. They have a very extensive menu to choose from. My wife chose the Salmon Salad special while I chose the Thai Curry Rice Bowl with Grilled Salmon and brown rice. I was surprised to be asked if I wanted half rice and half salad. Out waitress highly recommended it. She said the salad is on the bottom (a bed of salad) and once you mix it all together with the rice and the curry sauce it's really good. I'm up for something different and she was right! it was good. Lots of food too. BUT, I got white rice and not brown rice. I had already started eating it so I didn't want to make a fuss and have to wait for another bowl to be prepared. Oh, and we started with the coconut shrimp (7 to a plate so you have to fight over the last one) and they were really good. My wife's Salmon salad was exactly that. Nothing too special but good. Would I go back? Yes, but not if I wanted to carry on a conversation with several people. It's very loud. Went here with my family for Fathers Day, my dad wanted to try it and it was the first time for all of us. I'm glad he decided on this place. We started out with the ceviche and calamari. They both excellent. I had the seasonal cherry lemonade which was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The ceviche was much different than traditional Mexican style, but no less tasty. I had the Poke' Special and don't remember having better. Our server, Raul, was very knowledgeable and made awesome suggestions, I really appreciated him guiding us through the different menu items as I was not familiar with most of what was offered. I am not going to start this review by saying "I don't know how any of the people reviewing this place gave it 4 stars". Instead I will say I believe that these people gave Pacific Catch 4 stars because they actually got SUPER drunk, went to Taco Bravo down the street, and ordered the gut wrenching carne asada super nachos. When they woke up the next day at 2 pm and didn't have a hangover, they gave Pacific Catch 4 stars. My girl and I ordered and shared the following: Rising Sun Sushi Roll ($11.50) Mixed Catch Fish and Chips ($14.00) Crab Corn Chowder (I forgot the price, but based on the other prices I can assume it was $250) Food: The food was OK. It wasn't great, but it was OK. The rice in the roll wasn't packed together correctly, so the roll fell apart pretty easily. No matter how my girl tried to pick up the roll it fell apart. This is alarming since she is Japanese and has a Master's Degree in Chopsticks, with a minor in Soy Sauce. The fish and chips was average at best. It came with sweet potato fries as a side, and that was also average. The dipping sauce for the entree was pretty much tasteless, but at least it didn't taste like a shoe. The crab chowder was good. I liked it quite a bit and had I only eaten it, the review would have been much better. The corn-to-potato-to-crab ratio was perfect. The chowder wasn't too hot, nor was it too cold. The only real issue was that the serving was a bit small. I could have used about 25% more chowder. Service: The service was fine. Again, nothing stood out either way. Decor: Pacific Catch is nice inside, clean and well lit... not so well lit that it looks like the "ugly lights" at a bar around 2:18 am. One of the other people we were eating with said that the men's bathroom had a weird sink that made it hard to wash his hands. I believe he is lying though, because he NEVER washes his hands (I am not kidding). Overall I would not go back to Pacific Catch. I feel the food was overpriced for the quality. read more

I guess part of this is the restaurant's fault - for the seating arrangement - but that's besides the point of this review. The food was amazing, service good (we are easy customers, so doesn't take much - still, thankful for a good waiter), and meal-wait was nonexistent. Inside out sushi roll to start, IPA for me, Riesling for the lady, and we shared the mixed basket (fish and chips with shrimp and oysters) and a taco plate with mahi, chicken, and steak tacos - all for $55. I had no idea what the menu looked like beforehand, so the sushi was a nice surprise. Could have done without the oysters, but they were as good as they could have been, just not my thing. Went here with my Mom, daughter and boyfriend for our Mother's Day lunch. Got there at 11:30am and was seated right away. Service was terrific. Tiffany was quite attentive to us. And when asked about her recommendations for entrees, she knows her dishes and recommended good variety of dishes for us. My Mom is vegetarian and PC was able to accommodate her with a few very nicely done dishes. The appetizers were definitely good - poke and sushi. Our Ono and mahi mahi were a bit overcooked so it was a tad dry. Our bloody Mary's were just perfect with extra spicy and extra olives! Definitely will come back again. I may just do a bunch of appetizers and salad only because I'm able to enjoy a bigger variety at one sitting :) It's more of a 3.75 score than 3 for this place. read more

I had been to the Marina/Cow Hollow location in SF and expected this place to be just as good. This location is incredibly spacious, more so than Marina. It's very clean and has a modern decor. What I don't like about this place is the random pillars that stick out at some of the tables, taking up precious space. What could have been an ideal seating for 4 was established for a measly 2 person table. Service was commendable. Our waiter was fast and professional. He jotted our orders quickly, brought our drinks within seconds, all the while being patient with us since the moment we arrived. They give out free refills on non-alcoholic drinks which is a huge plus! The Pan-Asian Wasabi Bowls [$15] are delicious. GIGANTIC portions which will fill you up. I had a very difficulty time finishing this. The wasabi is embedded in the rice which gives a nice spice. You have your choice of Hawaiian Poke, Grilled Salmon [+$1], Seared Ahi, or Crab Salad. The Hawaiian Poke and Seared Ahi are definitely the ones to get and they give you plenty of fish. Overall, lots of flavor going down. Prices are a bit up there, but considering it's seafood, what do you expect. Great place for a casual lunch/dinner. read more

My friends took me to dinner here. They said it was their favorite seafood spot so I was really interested in trying it out. I got one of their specials for the night. It was shrimp sauteed with garlic with glass noodles. I really loved this dish! It was flavorful and quite filling. One friend got the fish and chips which were pretty good. (Im not a big fish and chips fan) and the other got the shrimp tacos. Those were really good. I really liked the jalapeno tarter sauce that they put on them. Love having this place nearby! I was skeptical at first because it's a chain, and Pruneyard chain restaurants are usually a bummer. But this place has a great relaxed feel, comfortable bar, yummy drinks, and I'm loving their menu! I've never actually sat in the dining room (the wait can be pretty terrible, I've seen), but the bar area is perfect for friends or a couple for dinner, apps, or even just drinks. Walk right in, snag a seat at the bar, a table, or booth, and you're good to go. Great cocktail selection, TV viewing from anywhere in the bar, variety of beers on tap, and they even give you little complimentary bar snacks to nibble on! (Who does that anymore?! Love it.) The menu has an awesome selection for a group, or just the indecisive mind. Fish tacos, sushi, rice bowls, burgers, grilled fish. I always see something I want, and am pleased with whatever I get. Came here on a Wednesday night and the placed was packed! Thank goodness we had a reservation as we were a party of 6. Service was great! Food was yummy. I had the 2 taco dinner, one grilled fish and the shrimp taco. The shrimp taco flavor far exceeded that of the grilled fish. I opted for the side salad rather than the fries. The salad was topped with sprouts and edamame with a miso dressing, nice and lite. Everybody else's food looked fresh, yummy and the presentation of food was very aesthetic. I love Poke! I'm always on a quest for poke and Pacific Catch popped up on Yelp so of course I had to check it out! We ordered: - Poke trio (ahi poke, shrimp ceviche, fresh catch ceviche[today was bay scallops]) - BBQ pork sandwich 1. Ahi poke was ok. I probably wouldn't order it again unless I was REALLY craving tuna. They give you large, fresh chunks of tuna mixed with soy sauce, sesame seeds and sesame oil. Served with wonton chips. I'd give it 3 stars. 2. Shrimp ceviche was a little better (read little). It was nice and refreshing because of tons of lime juice but it wasn't really a ceviche because they blanch the shrimp first and mix it - which basically makes it a cocktail, not ceviche. Served with tortilla chips. 3 stars 3. Bay scallop ceviche with coconut(?), avocado and black pepper oil. This one really spicy. it was very well seasoned and not too rich. However it was pretty one-note and boring after awhile. Served with purple potato chips. 3.5 stars 4. BBQ pork sandwich- average at best. The pork was soft but bland and the sauce wasn't enough to mask the dryness. It came with a decent coleslaw and YUMMY spicy french fries. 4 stars for this dish because the fries saved it. I really wanted to give this place 3 stars because the prices are ok, food is ok and portions are decent. However the service is stellar and the location for me is convenient. Wow, wow, wow! In a word, this place is AMAZEBALLS! I had the pleasure of dining at Pacific Catch recently while visiting Campbell and I came away extremely impressed! The restaurant itself is not very large but it still feels very open. Hats off to the interior decorator because this place is absolutely GORGEOUS without feeling stuffy or pretentious. Most of their light fixtures are these fabulous cobalt blue glass bottles of all different shapes and sizes hanging down from long black poles/cords coming from the ceiling. The kitchen area has a slate facade which is also quite lovely. Tres cool. But, let's talk about the food... The night I dined at Pacific Catch I was part of a group of 6. Even though we did not have reservations we did not have to wait more than a few minutes for a table. Once seated, our table was stocked with "munchies" in the form of goldfish pretzel crackers and shelled edamame. The goldfish crackers were kind of quirky but my entire group gobbled them up! One person in the group ordered some sushi, a ecstasy roll, and let everyone try a piece. This roll was fantastic! Perfect flavor and very fresh fish! For my meal, I ordered the dungeness crab Louie salad. Pacific Catch is not skimpy on their crab on THIS salad and they also make their own "thousand island style" dressing in house. The salad was delicious and at points I almost wanted to ask for more dressing because it was also very tasty! All of the people in my group were also very pleased with their meal choices which included steak tacos, mahi mahi, fish and chips and Blue Tilapia. I got the chance to take a nibble off the Blue Tilapia and it was so great! For dessert, my group shared a macadamia nut brownie ala mode and some of us had egg nog ice cream. Wow, that brownie was phenomenal! I do also want to mention the waitstaff. Our waiter for the evening was very attentive without being a nuisance, he kept our water full and also gave our group some great suggestions for entrees. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name but kudos to him and the rest of the staff! I definitely can't wait until my next trip to Campbell! They take a long time to seat, serve, and bill and two out of the three times they are busy - but it is a bit of a let down if you are in a hurry.
