Quick fuel stop for anytime of the day! Breakfast burrito, #2, bacon, potato and cheese, no egg -- my standard order. This is a standby burrito. A huge warm tortilla, chock full of potatoes, cheese and bacon. Predictable food, reasonable prices, clean lobby and fast service. Good green chile sauce and the red is fine too. We've been eating here for years and probably will for years to come. My son is a fan of the carne adovado burrito. I was sitting at my hotel thinking what I shall I eat. I then figures I'd use this app called Yelp to help with that life choice. After a quick search I loaded on Pacos. I wanted something authentic and not to restauranty (yes a made up word). I got there ordered way too much food and back to the room I went. I started with the steak burrito. Damn it was good. I then moved to my fish taco slowly devouring the carnita taco. By the time I noticed it was too much food I had eaten every bite. I forgot to mention I also got refried beans. It all cost me $13 and it was probably worth $30. Anytime I'm in the area I'll be making Pacos a normal stop. read more

The ONLY complaint that I could have about Paco's is that they close at 10pm. I started my love affair here with the Carne Asada burrito, and would mix in a breakfast burrito every once in awhile. Lately it has been the combination plate number two. that was until I discovered their fish tacos. These fish tacos with salsa verde are to die for. My regular order is now a combination number two with a fish taco (Or maybe 2 if I am feeling froggy, or would that be fishy). I love this place. I find the food better than all of the other Mexican fast food restaurants in the area. They are the only ones that sell Tamarindo drink. Also, my favorite item on their menu is the Chili Relleno Burrito. I think it's called the Bandito. It's a chili relleno with refried beans and Spanish rice rolled in a flour tortilla. I can't tell you how addictive it is. I came here around noon for lunch and I must say it gets really busy both in the restaurant and in the drive thru. Full disclosure: I always get the shredded beef tacos here. Not even sure if I've ever tried anything else. But the shredded beef tacos are so good why would I try anything else? I used to live in the area so I'd go to Paco's all the time. But now, I work near by so I went just last week on my lunch and ordered none other than the shredded beef tacos. I must say, they are a bit greasy, but I only go when I'm in the mood for some good, greasy tacos. To mean, the meat is juicy and flavorful, tons of cheese and lettuce and I practically drown the tacos on both the red and green hot sauce. The scenery is what you would expect for a pretty inexpensive taco joint, not anything fancy. The customer service is also pretty basic, suffice it to say they could probably use a bit of help in that department. But I don't go there because of their excellent customer service. I go because of their shredded beef tacos obviously! read more

Paco's is the Chik-Fila of local Mexican fast food joints. I love that they close at 10pm and don't open on sundays because I'm sure that keeps the workers happy and feeling appreciated. But darn it all if I don't get a little misty eyed when I drive by at 11:30pm craving a tasty machaca breakfast burro. I've been coming here for years and they've never disappointed. Great service, great food, and prices that even rival Nico's and Filiberto's. And they never overcook the potatoes in their burritos, they're always fluffy and perfect. What else do you need? I LOVE this place! I eat here way too much!!! I almost always get the same things. The fish taco's are awesome ($1.95 each)!!! Love their taco salads as I normally get the carne asada one with two green salsa's. ($4.65). The third thing that I get a lot is their chips with guacamole and cheese. Carne asada and breakfast burrito (eggs, cheese, potato and steak) is really good here. The steak is tendered, fresh and non greasy. The shop is about 700 square feet. The exterior is a little bit shady and it is located in South Tucson, but the interior is clean and the staffs are friendly. They are very helpful and flexible with the order. You can add or subtract anything from the original order menu from the wall and they are glad to do so, which is very attractive. The burritos are wonderfully packed with fresh ingredients. Although I did not have the opportunity to eat at Paco's in person to absorb all of its illustriousness, I was lucky enough to utilize the convenience of its expertly placed drive-thru window manned by some of the finest employees I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Paco's is located on grant road on the north side of the street. It is painted a beautiful off-white with a light orange almost pink trim (you can't miss it, it is right next to Amor Nails). There is a beautifully handmade billboard that is unparalleled in craftsmanship with a sturdy column hoisting it proudly in the air as if to scream at the city of Tucson that Paco's IS a force to be reckoned with. I have had many opportunities to dine at various establishments in the Tucson area but wouldn't consider myself to be a food connoisseur in even the most remote sense. That said, I have had several of the breakfast burritos and to be frank, they all seem to be a little potato heavy. This is good because I love potatoes (I have been told by many that I have an addiction). However, the fish tacos are what warrant my semi-uncanny review. I decided to try the fish tacos by means of a campaign of finding the best in Tucson. My sister and I are very close with a wonderful bond and we do a lot together. If your feel good meal is a fish stick middle school hot lunch slathered in tartar sauce wrapped in a tortilla with cabbage on top then this may be the choice for you, however, I graduated from middle school 36 years ago and the last thing on my mind is returning for the fine cuisine. I believe there to be much greater options within the Tucson area. With Tucson being a budding young city with major potential in the culinary field, I will not say to Paco's that I won't be back. However, I will not be back for the fish tacos because they left a lot to be desired.
