First time here the girl was so rude she didn't ask want I wanted with the meal and just assumed I wanted what it came with and she didn't ask for my rewards. I got the blt roasted turkey and avocado sandwich I had to go to the back and tell them I wanted chips not bread. I waited 30 minutes got up and asked for my money back. They were not that busy and two table in front of me were waiting longer then I was. And when one table did get their order the lady conplained thay it wasnt the right order. There was two employees shooting the shit when there was obvious work to be done. No black pepper packets toilet seat covers and dirty tables. Current sitting here at 8am, waiting for them to refill the coffee... After I've already waiting in line to purchase coffees and pastries. So now my pastries will just get cold before I can get any coffee. Not a great way to start the day! Also don't like the fact that we had to clean our own table because it was wayyyy to dirty to sit down. Don't think this is the first time, my family and I come here every weekend because it's close by. That's all 6-8 of us when we come visit my grandparents. Service is a hit or miss each week, there is only one girl that bothered to know my dad's name and actually greet us. Other staff act like they cannot bothered. Another thing I find annoying is that there is only one big table in the whole place that can fit 8-10 people! If you're going to do that, please have a sign that says its reserved for that amount of people. Today like a few other days, there are only THREE people sitting big there at this BIG table!!?! Panera is one of my favorite places to eat, unfortunately I had the worst customer experience ever at this specific location. Me and my husband were there for lunch and I had order the green goddess cob chicken salad which I order every single time I'm there well Sandra took my order wrong . I was served the Greek salad we let them know it wasn't what I had order the server was trying to fix it. As we waited the manager Kathy came out and instead of apologizing to us about the order being wrong she stared arguing with us about the order being right . Up until today, I would have said the food is good; however, today, my lentil quinoa soup had giant, uneatable chunks of kale stalk; the lentils were undercooked; and if that wasn't enough--upon my 3rd or 4th bite of the soup, I scooped up a piece of plastic bag!! The service has always been slow at this location, even if you use the kiosk, and they don't always get the order correct. Staff seems to be nice enough, but I wish they would clean the tables; every time I go in there, we have to "bus" and clean our own table. Generally, I love Panera Bread. Great food and usually good prompt service. Unfortunately this place up in a Falcon Crest off Sierra is the OPPOSITE of what I am accustomed to. A very very rude manager ( female) who was working a morning shift when I walked in with my wife and a disabled friend, totally ignored us....when I had to raise my voice to get her attention, because she was the only person behind the counter...she said she didn't take orders!!!!! Really? We waited about 20 minutes for our order after someone finally noticed we were there to EAT.., and they were not busy at all.....finally we just took the food to go... I wish I could give this establishment MINUS stars because it was just a horrible experience. What ever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE? Why did they choose to hire a manager who was not a " people person"? You know service with a smile or at least a " be right with you folks"... You will never see me walk in there again and anyone I meet who mentions Panera Bread will be sure to hear about my experience at this place... Great customer service & very expensive for small portions and mediocre taste. I want to like this place so much because I love bread, soups and sandwiches, sadly, their food is not as great as it could be. Have you ever looked at their sodium count for any of their sandwiches? It's more than the daily recommended amount. How could "clean food" as they have advertised, be so salty? This place is not for everyone. Sept 18 2017- I came here about an hour before they closed, and they were out of avocados. I know that's out of the employees' control, but the sandwich and salad I ordered included avocado in it, and so I asked for a compromise because the cashier (Sara) didn't want to decrease the price a little because they couldn't put in avocado. I asked them to put in more meat instead so I could at least get my money's worth, and she said she would but she didn't. I paid full price, with a surprisingly less amount of meat than usual, and no avocado. I was just so annoyed. Customer service here is awful. Sara had an attitude too. Don't work customer service is you can't handle not taking your anger out on others if you're having a bad day and learn to be nicer to customers. If you wanna get Panera, you're better off driving a little bit further to go to the one on Haven Ave or on 4th Street by Ontario Mills. The only good thing about this location is that it's open an hour later than the one on 4th street, but so is the one on Haven. I say the better service is worth the bit of a further drive if you live in North Fontana. Go to the one on Haven instead. read more

I order a sandwich with everything on the side and they didn't get it right and for the price other competitors sandwiches are tastier. Today I went in with my girlfriend and ordered at the kiosk they have available there. Everything went fine until we were looking for a place to sit down. The floor was dirty and plates were everywhere and taking up tables. We had to clean and wipe off our own table while the employees watched us do it. We finally found a place to sit in the crowded dirty area and then we got our food. Now the utensils are just nasty to begin with, small bits of gunk left on it and you can tell they were very poorly washed. Portions were good and my main meal was good although I ordered a side of a fruit cup for $2 extra. Now you would think that it would be somewhat good right? nahhh what I got was a sad wannabe fruit cup with tasteless fruit. Now my girlfriend chose the "pick two" option and got a sandwich and a soup. The sandwich was good but she got to the soup and it looked tasty but right as she was about to take a spoonful she saw three stray hairs in her soup. She isn't one to grab an employee and say something, so we finished up what was left of our decent meal and left. Two friends and I went to Panera Bread #1250 on Summit Ave. in Fontana at 10:00 am on 10/19/2018. It looked clean and well organized and the pastries were gorgeous, however, we stood in front of the counter for over 7 minutes while the manager chewed out Nakita in full listening range. My husband asked if they would take our order or do we use the machines to order, and was completely ignored while Nakita walked away and the manager ignored us. The manager was a woman wearing a green hat. So my husband raised his voice and said, "excuse me, do you take our order?" and the manager replied that she was the manager so could NOT take our order, and someone was on break, and someone else was busy, so we should wait for Nakita. Nakita came back to the register and was very pleasant and took our order professionally and with courtesy. Panera was out of ham, at 10 am. Then our order took over 20 minutes to arrive, Mike delivered it and was courteous. We asked for it to go and Mike prepared it to go and was still courteous. Then when we got home, the food was not up to Panera standards. The tomatoes were green and yellow, not red. That's all. But I do know what Panera customers can expect and it is not this. Hazelnut coffee is the best! Service is detering. They are too busy sometimes to know what quality service means. Healthy food but an order is not always delivered together.
