Went again tonight and made a reservation...again. idk if its every location but the reservation and wait list here are the same, they won't hold anything until you check in and if someone checked in before you, they will get seated before you even if they have no reservation. Waited for 45 mins and still nothing while we watched people give their name after us and get seated before us. We just left, no use in confronting them because they just give you the run around. Pappasitos is not like this and they honor reservations too. I've already written to corporate and nothing is different, we talked to managers and still same thing. read more

Dined in today and was served by a gentleman named Lorne. He was very impressive because he was so professional and attentive. He was in every detail of our dining experience. I ordered shrimp Alfredo and it was so delicious and the presentation meticulous and appealing ! The serving portion was very generous and filling. I have dined at other Pappadeux restaurants before (been dining at Pappadeux for 15 years) but today was so exceptional in every way that I had to write about my dining experience. So disappointed in our visit today. My family of 6 came to eat here for an early dinner and arrived around 5pm. Before leaving home, we called to try to get on the waitlist ahead or call about a wait since we have several people with non-physical disabilities in our family. They were not able to do call ahead reservations which is understandable, so we hurried out the door. Once we arrived, we were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. We waited the full amount of time and were told there was only 1 possible table for us, which I don't believe; we've been coming here for years and know they are able to seat multiple large parties at the same time. I ate there 3/4/26 during a banquet with a pharmaceutical company. I asked for a to go container so that I could take my food home. I opened the container to eat my food and the broccolini had a black rubber band around the bunch and a sliver of another rubberband all covered and sautéed in butter with the broccolini. t was very disgusting and I called and complained to a young manager who said she could give me another broccolini as if I would eat there again. This is an upscale location. That's always packed with people because the food is very good , even though it is very expensive. The service and the atmosphere is also top notch. So my goal while being in Houston was complete I made it to Pappadeaux. Once entering the parking lot the hype was real. It was super crowded but finding parking wasn't bad. We were told it would be like a 30-45 minute wait but amazingly we only had to wait like 10-15 minutes. We caught a break our server named Dwayne was great. Very funny & great without really trying to be. Only issue I had with Dwayne was that he had the nerve to tell us they had the best crab cakes in the world knowing we were from Baltimore. So we started off with the oysters which were delicious. After that I started with the seafood gumbo which was the only thing I didn't enjoy it was to bland. After that I went with the seafood platter which was great & such a large portion that I was able to eat half but still have enough to box up for the next day. But the main course was my 2 pound lobster which my man Dwayne decorated perfectly with the heated butter. This experience was everything I imagined & so much more. Was looking for a place to eat, my friend never been to papadeaux, we orders two dishes, one was the friend shrimp with dirty rice and the other was a crab cake appetizer. They were both good, I also got a drink but I deleted the picture on accident and can't remember what it was but it's was strong and delicious haha. We were seated and were not greeted for literally 20 minutes. I was on the verge of leaving when another waitress noticed we hadn't been greeted (Laurean). I noticed a guy in my section but wasn't sure he was our waiter. Turns out he was (Jorge). He walked around us at least 4 times and made eye contact with the carpet each time. When he noticed Laurean was assisting us he didn't even acknowledge it or her. This was the worst experience I have ever had here. It's truly my favorite restaurant. Well, I don't enjoy writing reviews like this. We showed up at 3;36PM on a Sunday. The Sunday before Mardi Gras -- Fat Tuesday. They were very busy. We prefer to sit at the Bar. There were no empty chairs so we waited. It was less than five minutes before a couple left. I stood behind the two empty chairs and waited for their dishes to be cleared and the signed ticket to be picked up. Several Bar staff looked my general direction but did nothing. Several minutes passed. I was asked twice by other patrons if I was sitting there. It wasn't until I started a timer on my phone and took a picture of the area that a Bartender started clearing the area. They heard me reading the taps to my husband and informed us they were out of Lone Pint's Yellow Rose (more on this at the end) and that the tap handle should be removed. A Bartender that was not present while the area and I were ignored took our drink and starter order. She was lovely. We ordered Shrimp Gumbo, a Medium Fried Crawfish and a three piece Fried Catfish plate. The food was all great, although it seems the Medium Crawfish plate has fewer crawfish each time we order it. We each ordered a second Stella, from Tap. While drinking our second beer, one of the bartenders that had previously ignored me waiting for the area to be cleaned tried dismissing us by putting our tab on the bar in front of us. Our bartender passed by, asked if we were okay, saw the tab on the bar, and put it back. So, the Lone Pint Yellow Rose on tap ... the tap handle was never removed. Another bartender went to pour one and it spit all over him. He promptly filled the glass with Karbach Love Street. Lastly, our meal and four beers cost $95. Ninety. Five. That's a lot of money to spend and leave feeling disrespected. read more

I went yesterday for a post dinner meal our waiter. Erik was amazing from start to finish, but the food was an other story. I ordered the catfish platter with the red beans and rice. The red beans and rice was average not the best but not the worst the catfish had no flavor zero spices, and when I was chewing it, I felt like I was in Galveston, chewing sand.
