The service and food were both excellent. We had a wonderful evening as a family The shellfish dishes and the raw oysters were both fresh and delicious.

The view is really nice and the food is actually good for a touristy spot. It gets kinda cold on the patio if it's not the summer. The breeze is very strong. Dress accordingly. The cheese bread here is very rich and delicious. They have a crazy thick topping on it full of mayo and cheese. Not a calorie deficit item. The calamari is always good, the sushi is consistently decent. They have a dedicated sushi chef. Clam chowder is solid and so are the steamed clams. We've been going here a long time and the food is consistently good. Happy hour has good prices. If you are gonna go all out the menu is pricey. We have before and prefer to go for happy hour. It's a good spot for a nice date or something special.

I visit this weekend with some friends . I needed to have some good views and food ! The service was speedy and I had the sweetest waitress . I took one star off because the fishbowl drink was not in a fishbowl and seemed a bit watered down . The lobster BLT was really fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed it as well as my sushi roll.

A great dinner with a great view! The Cioppino was very good. They have a nice selection of fresh seafood. The service was very attentive and friendly. It's a bit pricey, but it's expected since it's right on the water with views of the lighthouse and Queen Mary. It's great for special occasions or to take out of town visitors.

We went here for Father's Day. With reservations seems to be organized sitting us outdoors with lout the hassle of waiting. The everything we order was well prepared and delicious. I ordered a dozen of oysters but surprisingly they were very small ($49). You should ask what type of oyster to give an idea what you're ordering. Overall, the food and service were great. I would go back and experience the evening atmosphere. I'm sure it must be pretty.

Ambience: 15/10 Service: 10:10 Food: 10/10 Wait time: 10/10 I was here celebrating a graduation and the ambience is absolutely perfect right on the water. There were seating options both inside and outside which I absolutely loved and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. My absolute favorite was the warm butter cake and I truly enjoyed my shrimp cocktail nice huge jumbo shrimp. The service was great and the drink menu is pretty extensive. Well I did not have a cocktail. One of my family members enjoyed their version of a bloody Mary OMG. I think what I like about this place most is that if you want to have an upscale experience, you totally can. However, if you're not in the mood for all the extras and you just want to go dine somewhere nice this fits the criteria also. I'm literally trying to figure out a reason to go back now.

Reserved for a pre-Mother's day celebration the night before. Service was great-- friendly front staff and attentive server. Our server was able to recommend us the best type of shucked oysters to pick that were "beginner-friendly." We went with the East coast derived oysters, and they were actually really good with no fishy aftertaste. Appetizers and entrees didn't take too long to come out-- around 15-20 minutes for all to arrive at the same time. I actually like their bread they offer as a courtesy because it had a hard, thick outer shell but was soft in the inside. Their butter is also heavenly, loved that it was sweet! Entrees were decent-- I got the scallops and they were soft and quite delectable. Prices range anywhere from around $30-$75 for their entrees, which I understand comes from the freshness of the seafood and that it is a fine dining restaurant. Ambiance definitely sets a low-lit vibe that would be best for date nights. Kind of hard to see the menu if you don't place the little table lamp in the middle of the table. But again, understand it's probably for the fine dining aspect. Do wish we were able to sit outside to get the nice breeze and view, so maybe next time!

Be ready for a spendy meal. We had a large group of 16 for lunch. It was very nice inside. Parking with validation was $10.40. I had the ahi tuna sandwich and eel sashimi. Eel is always good. The ahi seemed overcooked. He had the Chilean sea bass which he loved. We all shared oysters, calamari, garlic cheese bread(SO GOOD). I had a mango mojito which was delish even though the mangos in it were a bit under ripe. $1227.00 was our bill! They tacked on 18%. So his tip was $169!

While on a staycation in Long Beach, my wife and I found ourselves strolling all over The Pike area. We stumbled upon the Parker's Lighthouse and decided to pop in for a quick snack. We orderd a couple cocktails and some appetizers. I had an Old Fashion my wife went with a Pomegranate Basil Smash. For the appetizer we went with the Karage Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Crispy Calamari, and The Queens Roll. The service little slow, but thankfully we weren't in a hurry. Although we sat in the bar area, it seems to be a kool place for a date. There are bunch of window seats with ocean views that could set the vibe. The Lettuce wraps were our least favorite due to the lack of flavor. You most definitely will need to use the sauce it comes with. The sushi and the calamari were wonderful. The sushi was nice and fresh, and the Calamari was crispy and flavorful. The cocktails hit the spot. Overall its a good spot for drinks and light bites.

Haven't been back here for a long while. The 1st time was here was for my HS prom's dinner back in the 80s and it's still standing and went back several time afterwards. Parking is fine with private paid parking lot (they do validating for it) or you can find paid or sometime free street parking or meter parking spaces. The place is overlooking the water and quite a view, especially during sunset. Spacious, nice, clean restaurant with great vibe. Services can be 80% hit and 20% can be miss. Most foods here are good but off the prices, so so, but you're most likely paying for the views and the location more likely. I really enjoyed the fresh oysters, calamari and fish & chip...well battered and well cooked. But overall, it a good place to hangout for sure.

I was really disappointed here. The food was okay, they told me a few minutes after ordering that they didn't have what I wanted and then the waiter hovered until I picked something new and I hadn't thought of a backup option and he seemed annoyed. They also took away our appetizer plates while there was still food on them and never asked if we wanted them cleared. Filled up half the table with water and then didn't come back to fill up the rest for 16 minutes.

We had a great time...the view deserves all the stars. The service was great and our server was very kind to the kiddos and indulged them the whole time. The kids menu was a hit with our little ones, who enjoyed popcorn shrimp and a kids size fish and chips. We also shared a mixed grilled plate that was serviced with skewers and the fish of the day. It was a good and healthy plate. We also ordered the tollhouse pie which hit the dessert spot, but had a lot of nuts. All of the pier spots are clearly for the views. The food was good, but not the star of the show.

Great service, our waitress was super attentive. The food was good, we got the broccoli, burrata, seafood linguine, and strawberry salad. I wish the toast for the burrata wasn't so soggy. We came here for our second date so we came here for our anniversary this year :)

Ask the Community - Parkers' Lighthouse

Is there valet parking or nearby parking lot?

Yes, there is nearby parking. It is pretty expensive. You have to pull a ticket. Restaurant will validate ticket to reduce cost but it isn’t free.

Thinking about my attire. Is shorts and flip flops to casual for this place?

You will be fine we were very casual when we went!

    Do they also serve sushi?

Yes, they have a small sushi menu

Are dogs allowed at outdoor seating? A small dog inside doggie carriage? Also, any buffet brunch?

They don't offer a buffet brunch and your dog should be fine.

    Do you serve kids menu?

    Yes

How's the parking situation? Do they have their own parking lot/structure, valet?

There is a general lot for all the shops/restaurants in the area. With validation parking is $10 for a couple hours. It's not a big lot either. You may take a few laps during peak hours.

Is Thanksgiving menu limited to fixed price three course menu?

    Yes

    Is sit down now available?

    Yes, both inside and outside.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

Is the menu still the same as pre covid? I know some restaurants have changed to a more limited menu..

Michelle, I dined on their opening weekend and there were no special menus. The options were quite extensive. And of course as in the past, the food was impeccable.

What's the dress code here...casual, semiformal, formal?

I visited just recently when they reopened and the dress code is casual. The staff was wonderful and not stuffy at all.

Will they have a Thanksgiving brunch?

Brunch buffet is only served twice a year. Easter and Mothers Day.

Does anyone know what the corkage fee is here? Thanks

    $25

    Can you make reservations?

Yes, you can make reservations. The outside patio is nice if it's not chilly.

Do you guys have brunch? Endless Mimosas? If so can I have pricing.

Yes you can make reservations on line

Where is the happy hour? Are there still mice views at the bar?

I would call for the happy hours. And the best view is going to be the outside seating. The bar is inside.

If I wanted to sit outside and have a view of the queen mary and the water, where would I request to be seated?

Just ask to be seated on the patio facing the Queen Mary.

Parking is a bit of a game of chance thanks to the tiny lot, so plan accordingly. Once you're inside though, the restaurant is super clean, modern, and the service is fast and attentive. We started with the papaya salad. It was just okay--I'm still trying to figure out why there was a blanket of romaine lettuce casually lounging on top. I ordered medium spice, which turned out to be "medium if you breathe fire for fun." The papaya was also a little more raw than I personally like. The tom kha soup was decent, but the real MVP was the drunken noodles with beef. Those noodles were absolutely swimming in savory goodness and perfectly soft. I would've happily ordered a second plate and called it "dessert." Overall, I'd definitely come back--mostly because those drunken noodles are already living rent-free in my head.

My family and I were heading to the Aquarium of the Pacific and wanted to find a good dinner spot…read morenearby afterward. I came across this place on TikTok because of their famous Thai tea popsicle, so naturally I had high hopes. First off, we got incredibly lucky with parking. I can definitely see how parking could be a nightmare since the lot is tiny, so consider finding a spot part of the dining experience. When we arrived, the inside was cute and seemed clean. We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

Unfortunately, one employee, Marisol, consistently provides poor customer service. She comes across as combative, takes no accountability for mistakes, and makes resolving simple issues unnecessarily difficult. My daughter called in our usual order for pickup. When she arrived, she immediately noticed something was wrong because the total was much lower than expected. When she politely brought it to Marisol's attention, instead of acknowledging that there may have been a mistake, Marisol insisted the order had never been placed that way. She then asked my daughter if she wanted to order the missing item while she was already there to pick up her food, which would require waiting another 15 minutes. Since the delay was the result of an incorrect order, my daughter asked if she could at least receive fresh fries while waiting. Marisol told her she would have to pay extra for fresh fries. Marisol also claimed that she had repeated the order back over the phone when it was originally placed. That simply isn't true. She rushed my daughter off the phone, saying she'd see her in 15 minutes, without reviewing the order. We've continued to support A&J's because the food is consistently excellent, but experiences like this make it harder to keep coming back. Great food can only go so far when customers are made to feel dismissed instead of valued. This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

One of the women (I missed her name but I believe her birthday is today) working there helped me find seating for my party. She was gracious enough even with there being little to no wiggle room- so shout out to her. Our servers were great, appetizers came out hot and delicious. I think we ordered 4 rounds of Brussels sprouts Drinks were tasty- highly recommend the espresso martini with a side of vanilla ice cream. Overall had a great time and appreciate the customer service!

If you want fresh seafood at a reasonable price, this is the spot. For first timers we took it easy. I went with the fried fish and scallops. My wife chose the fried fish, shrimp and scallops. The Fry and the seasoning were really good. Everything was nice, fresh, and hot. We washed it all down with ice cold bottled Snapple Lemonade. They don't have well drinks. Besides fried product, they also have a grilled option. They offer outside seating, picnic style. It's not a fancy seafood spot. It's a grab your food, find a table, enjoy your seafood and beer, while hanging out solo or with a group of friends kind of spot. We'll most definitely be returning

Went on Sunday for a quick brunch. Ordered grilled halibut plate, wife ordered fish and scallops, topped it off with a clam chowder and two sodas. Total came out to be around 65$. Fish was just grilled with a ton of oil on the same griddle as everything else, seasoning consists of old bay and that is it. Bland, old bay seasoning. Fish and chip was bland, no flavor. Clam chowder had minimal clams and mainly thick soup base. So unless you think those YouTubers are coming there to say nice things, edit the video, and then post it so they can make content money. Don't waste your time and money.

Then as she approached our table, placed our stuff down on the table and just walked away. Not a great start but I chalked it up to them being busy for Fathers Day. We sat at our table for more than 10 minutes, never bing greeted by a server. We finally got up and went to buffet to get food came back and started eating and still hadn't been greeted. I finally went to the hostess stand to ask for a server so we could at least get some water. Food was ok for being brunch food. But the service was disappointing.

Back ground music is nice , but so loud that you can't have a conversation with your family that was visiting from Washington. So it's hot and loud On the patio ( gave me anxiety) I was there yesterday Sunday. So big mistake not sitting inside. With that being said our server, Maleeha was amazing. The bloody Mary was very good. We had fish and chips. Had a nice crunch moist inside the french fries had a nice crunch so tasty. The albacore roll was also very good. The Carne Asada burrito for all of was very good , the meat was tender, eggs and country style potatoes were very good as well in it . Definitely we'll go back and sit inside dining room where you can have a conversation with your family and the air-conditioning is wonderful !

I do have to round the block a few times for parking but this place is worth the drive and terrible parking. I am also a person of habit so I will always get the same dish as a precaution. Ellie's is one of the few places where I like every item from their menu. I am lazy to look for other food pics from Ellie's so here are three pics from my most recent visit. My favorite that is not pictured is the gnocchi. I crave it so often, I try to replicate it until I return back to Ellie's For the price, this place is $$$. Especially because when you are having a rich pasta, you MUST get the wine to go with it. Everything from here does add up but it's worth every obstacle (centralizing theme within this review). Servers are amazing and beautiful people. They are always in a genuine great mood that makes the dining experience great. Though the inside of the restaurant is small, there is plenty of tables on its patio. The patio is on the sidewalk, which I normally hate because restaurants typically lack in service and ambience when seated outside. Not for Ellie's, service and ambience is even better outside. I find it too stuffy and crowded inside the restaurant.
