If I could give zero stars I would. Oh my God. Skip this place. It is not worth your money. The only good thing about it is the decor. First off, every single cocktail my table had was watered down. I got the "spicy cucumber cooler" and it straight up tasted like I was drinking water--not even like a cucumber or even the alcohol it's supposed to have. The only flavor it had was the "spice" which was chili flakes(?) mixed in with the salt at a bad ratio. Second. Who says that they only cook steak medium and above? This is not a campus dining hall. And then gives the reason "it's sirloin" as why?! No. No. No. Unacceptable. And you want to charge $34 for 3oz of steak that you made into a miserable white-washed excuse of kabob? Where you also burned the pita bread. I learned how to make better kabob than this from flank steak when I was 15 from my Iranian father. I ordered a cheese pidette (sp?) And lobster appetizer but was very disappointed. The lobster itself in my opinion was too sour and the pidette was not flavorful (pretty mouth drying). The presentation of the food was beautiful and looked upscale so that was a plus. The service was great though and the staff was very accommodating seeing that we had a large group. We had a baby shower lunch for 15 in the garden on a Saturday and the Pera Soho team was excellent to work with! The garden was beautiful, it was set up to work for us rain or shine, we were lucky with a beautiful day. The staff and server were excellent, very attentive and kind, helping us with the last minute requests that come up during a bigger group event. But not overbearing, or overly attentive either. The value was amazing, we enjoyed apps, choice of main, and a heavenly chocolate mousse for dessert. Events team was also great to work with, quick to reply to emails and helpful with information. Made reservations, confirmed seating, arrived from Nj with a party of 4, place was practically empty... and they tricked us to have drinks outside and wait for our table to be ready. $230 later on drinks and 1 hummus, they came back to tell us they ran out of tables in the garden for us to have dinner (2hrs later!) The manager even had the audacity to come prepared and give us a business card so we can call and complain. He didn't even try to make this right or apologize. We also had two bottles of rose (it was a celebration after all!) and found the wine menu to be quite nice and reasonably priced. I noticed a lot of 8 tops sharing a bunch of food and it really is the perfect ambiance for that Food and drink: I opted for an aperol spritz and my friend got the blood orange martini. I did see a lot of reviews that the drinks are small which is true but they were really delicious and you could tell they were fresh ingredients and not sugary mixes. I do want to point out that the website menu is not what the actual menu is and the menu in the restaurant is a lot smaller. We split a dip platter, fries, and a salad. All three items were delicious and made a perfect dinner for two people. Staff: The staff was really kind but did not check in. We waited for about 30 minutes till our waiter popped back to order another round of drinks. Once we ordered it was out super fast so I would just be sure you make the effort to get your own waiters attention as they will not check in as frequently as you think!
