The customer service was great they were very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. We ended up getting number 21 and number 12 and it was delicious. Are you kidding me? an authentic Pho place in Tustin? Ever since moving to OC from SGV it has been hard to find authentic ethnic food with the exception of Mexican food. Finding this place was a Godsend! Although this place isn't as good as many places I've been to it is definitely good and being so close to my new home is great! This is my new favorite pho place outside of Little Saigon for authentic pho. The broth is delicious and flavorful, and the portions are pretty good as well. The pho dac biet (house special) is more balanced with the different meats, unlike some places which throw in tons of tripe and a few slices of beef. The tendon threw me off texturally, since usually it doesn't melt in my mouth when I eat it, and I am equally used to chewing it. The vermicelli is also really delicious too. Ordered take out here a few weeks ago. They are very busy inside, but also very efficient. They share a plaza with a few other eateries, so just keep your eyes peeled when backing your vehicle. Food was tasty and cheap. I got one of the chicken and rice dishes, husband ordered a big bowl of soup. They have some good specials as well, but for dine-in customers only. 3.99 Pho!!!! Reminds me back when Pho used to be 2.99 until the economy took a dump! Anyhoo..... I stopped by here today for dinner waiting for traffic to calm down a bit to ease the drive home. The 3.99 Pho special is good and filling. I really thought the Pho was not going to be enough in the bowl, but I was wrong. The Pho itself was good, but I had to add the red chili in the small container to balance the broth to my liking. Came here for a spontaneous dinner out with friends. It was average pho but everyone felt a little bloated after dinner. On the way to the bathroom, I noticed the ground was wet which was very dangerous. Service was as attentive as it could be for a Vietnamese/pho restaurant (average). I've definitely experienced better so this is the most accurate yelp rating I can give it. It was fairly crowded for an early dinner so the restaurant definitely has its fans. One of the few places that serves pho in tustin. I have been to this location a few times with friends and co-workers. So far i've only ordered Pho Dac Biet from the menu and have yet to try other items. But the one thing that stands out about this place is service and atmosphere. Everytime i dine at this place, I feel like i'm at my vietnamese friend's home eating mom's home cooking. It's very homely and a comfortable place to eat during lunch. Did i mention? free dessert when they see you done with your meal? the pho, is average, nothing special about it, but everything just tastes better when service is good. Don't have any cons regarding this place. prices are not bad, convenient parking, and plenty of seats available. it's great, specially if you have only half an hour for lunch. read more

Who ever thought you could find such a good pho place in Tustin? After moving to the area my roommate and I were craving some pho. I had driven past this place once before, and since it was right down the street and around the corner from where we live we figured we might as well give it a try. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed! The pho broth was tasty and not too greasy, and the meat was good too! Their drink menu was awesome, and so was the rest of the menu. All at affordable prices (they even have this special meal which consists of soup, salad, an imperial roll, a spring roll, rice, and an entree all for $8 - it's enough to feed at least 2 people!) Their $4 pho special is amazing, and to me this is what a pho restaurant should be like! Now we have our regular pho spot close to home, and I couldn't be happier! read more

The Pho here is phenomenal but what really puts this place over the top is their iced Vietnamese coffee. I've had Vietnamese iced coffee for ages, long before Lee's Sandwiches made it a staple, but the iced coffee at Pho Bac Ky is absolutely monumental. Great Pho AND epic iced coffee? This place smelled a tad bit like bleach when I walked in and I was a little scared... (I've had a TERRIBLE experience at the last pho restaurant that smelled that way.) this was my go-to vietnamese restaurant when i lived down in in orange county cause it was quick and tasty and gave good sized portions for the price. Ok, finally I have found a vietnamese restaurant I can go back several times a week for lunch. First, the food there is good, not little saigon or SGV good, but almost there. Secondly, their prices are actually very reasonable for Irvine area. Their prices are actually in line with SGV prices, $6 for a bowl of Pho. Before coming to this place a few years ago, I could never find a pho place that equalled my mother's pho...and then I came to pho bac ky! I mean, of course, I would never tell my mom that their pho is just as good as hers, but when I want some good pho, I go here instead of making her cook for me hehe. I always get the pho bo vien, but I will occassionally get the pho seafood too. For some reason, the broth at this pho place tastes really natural...as if it came from the beef bones itself. In addition to great food, their service is excellent too. I don't think you ever have to wait more than around 5 minutes for your pho. The people are really friendly too but a little awkward...haha. This place is not too shabby. If you're on a budget and don't want to go to Subways for a $5 footlong then go to Pho Bac Ky for some delicious noodles, broth, and beef! I love their broth and order the well done brisket. I usually just order a small bowl and find they give a lot of meat in their dishes! Some places charge you extra for the bean sprouts and mint and lime plate of fixins but this place does not. The service is lightning speed fast so for a quickie lunch or dinner this place is ideal especially if your looking to eat/drink a hot bowl of soup on a cold winter's day/night. I love pho! The only bad about pho is that you and your clothes end up smelling like it. I live close to this Pho Bac Ky so we come here pretty often. The food is quick and fast. It's a not the biggest restaurant but we've never had to wait to be seated. They have happy hour specials in the evenings: $3.95 small brisket or steak pho and a rice/meat dish for about $5 (I forget the exact price). I think it's starts around 4 pm until they close which is a great deal! Perfect to get cheap but good pho for dinner! Which is basically Pho with rare steak, tendon, and tripe. Let me tell you boy that hit the stop for me. The broth was a bit on the sweet side bit a few dash of that Asian spicy ketchup and some lime I was good to go. My only downfall on this place was the Vietnamese ice coffee I ordered. It didn't come out traditionally from a press drip but instead a boba style cup with the vacuum lid. My coffee was more like a ice blended. Pho Bac Ky is not the best Pho in Orange County, but it is pretty good and it is right down the street from my house so this is our default Pho place. Whenever it is raining or just super cold you will find my wife and I at Pho Bac Ky. My wife likes the #13 which is your traditional Pho whereas I like E4, an egg noodle special combination. If you aren't into Pho you can still enjoy good Vietnamese rice dishes as well. I often get the Value Platter which comes with your choice of meet, two fried egg rolls, 1 spring roll, a small salad and a small cup of soup (beef broth with some beef in it). If you are a coffee lover I suggest getting their iced coffee, it is your typical Vietnamese coffee that will kick you in the face to wake you up. Their lime soda drink is already really good. Just know this is your typical Pho restaurant so don't expect great service and remember you have to go to the register to pay. read more

The food is good and affordable, but they're really disorganized. I came to pick up my food after ordering over the phone, and it was absolute mayhem. I was third in line, and the two in front of me were also picking up their orders. Out of nowhere, at least 4 people who were dining in, came over and started merging into the line - they also needed to pay. Of course, I'm not blaming the staff for the actions of these people who just thought it was okay to cut in line, but I do blame the staff for not being more organized about the whole payment process. And it also seemed that they were understaffed - the poor man at the register was so flustered with taking orders over the phone, accepting payments from everyone, and telling the other staff members what to do. This is a place to go to where you want fast, cheap, and good pho. Paid $6.50 for a small bowl with brisket and tripe. Noodles were abundant and a bit stiff. Brisket had fat on it that I had to bite off before eating. Tripe was good. Servers were nice, and food came out quickly.
