Nice Pho Ga establishment in the heart of Garden Grove! This family style restaurant has a lot to offer, serving a variety of staple Vietnamese dishes. As per the name, their specialty is Pho Ga, which is rice noodle soup with chicken. We were seated and served relatively quickly. We ordered Pho Ga Dac Biet (Rice Noodles with Chicken, Dac Biet). The broth was nostalgic, warming, and flavorful. The chicken and veggies were pretty standard. Overall, we thought this restaurant served great food but the price was rather steep for its relatively small portion size. Would recommend to those in the area looking for solid Pho Ga!

    1. The pho had good broth and chicken! I love that I can have the chicken cooked an on the side! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is cozy! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! They have a robot server! 4. The spot only has indoor seatings! There are a lot of tables! 5. Lot has a lot of parking! Nearby parking can get crowded depending on time and day! Note: There is a restroom available for customers! Photo: Pho Ga Combo and Vietnamese Iced Coffee

Consistently delicious! Favorite restaurant to get Pho Ga. I order the Dac Biet. I'm left feeling satisfied and full.

My absolute go-to Pho Ga spot in OC! Hands down the best flavor and highest quality chicken in the area--I literally find myself coming back once a week. The broth is always served piping hot, rich, and deeply flavorful. On top of that, the staff is incredibly nice, and the food comes out fast every single time. If you love chicken pho, you have to try this place.

The glass noodle combo with a side of young egg, is my go to. This place is always consistent in quality and service. My favorite chicken soup spot. Even for togos, the portions and quality is good.

Food is good and authentic just the right size serving. We ordered Pho rare steak and crispy fired chicken with crispy skin my son loved it. We got seated fast on a Saturday night dinner. Fast service. Music is nice instrumental medley a good family style restaurant where you can savor delicious meals and good vibes.

Tasty and homestyle cooking! The menu is simple yet diverse to accommodate any type of cravings. I visited late at night and was able to get seated right away. From egg rolls to glass noodle pho and beef pho, their menu had everything we were looking forward to eat. Food service was also very quick. Thank you so much to the staff and robot server who made our dining experience delish!! Come visit open til midnight.

Came into town for New Years wanted to try this place with my daughter since we were close to this place. Good here is very good. We ordered pho chicken combo( pho ga đặc biệt) ít was very good the noodle and broth in a bowl and the chicken was on the side with a separate small bowl of fish sauce and ginger to dip the chicken. Service was good didn't have a wait at all. Theres alittle robot brings out a tray with your entree instead of a real person. Thought it was cool about it. I haven't been to any restaurant that has this before. Ambience here , it was close to corner , was easy to find, inside is alittle small but food here is good.

Good food. Sauce was tasty. Added the chicken innards which was good if you are into it. They were kind enough to add more hear/gizzard instead of liver. Food comes out fast too!

I ordered chicken porridge with chinese donuts to eat along with the porridge. total is $20, only 5 very small piece of chicken, and the donuts were cut in half! Very expensive. The porridge is very liquid, only seeing water. And the donut is very oily! Do not order from here! Too pricy for the price of $20

Great spot for pho ga. Opens late too. One of my go to spots and never disappoints! The robot that brings the pho to you is also pretty cool

Had the mien ga (glass noodle chicken soup) Serving size of meats 3/5 Broth taste 5/5 for chicken soup! Condiment station - stocked and has fresh ground pepper corns which are grinded by the electronic device. Neat seeing the robot coming out with the goods. Wouldn't recommend their beef pho as the broth was a bit lacking.

The chicken wings were phenomenal. We got all flats, which I'm not sure if they normally serve it like that. They were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and just enough seasoning. The broth was super tasty. The oxtail cooked well. The noodles were in my opinion too soft. That's fine, my granddaughter likes him a little soft. The service was service, not bad or good. Long time diner, first time reviewer…read more I've always loved Grandpa's Kitchen, maybe because of the sweet name that makes me think of my own grandpa. They have one of the best egg noodle soups around. The broth is perfectly balanced and well seasoned, the egg noodle is well made, with generous toppings. The dry version of the egg noodle is equally delicious. You can't go wrong with either selection. I'm always surprised at their affordable prices. These days you can't really get a good bowl of noodle soup for under $18-$20. Here you can get a solid bowl for just $8 during happy hour! Whaaat?! Crazy! That is such a great price that I almost feel like I'm robbing them. LOL. During this recent visit, I wasn't too hungry so I just got a small bowl of wonton soup for just $7. It comes with 5 pieces of wontons. The only disappointing thing was that it doesn't come with one of my favorite toppings - tóc mỡ. It would've cost $2 to add it. I really wish they did include it. I also got some grilled pork skewers. They were pretty delicious as well - nicely seasoned, flavorful, and make a great appetizer. I also love that they're open late - till 11PM.

Service chill, can pay at register in the front, like typical viet restaraunt where they kinda leave you to it. The Grandpa's noodles was good (a dryer noodle), great portion, meat was tender, the radish cube looking things was crispy bits of pork skin. The menu is unique here and mostly in vietnamese. I think I had wished for some sauce to go with the noodles (but I understand its mostly with the soup on the side), good tightness of the meatballs :D... They have the classic condiments on the side, the pickled garlic isn't very crunchy and kind of on the sweet side, the pickled chili does have that slight acidic kick that works well. I modified my noodle to egg for a dollar. The soup was good, on the more umami soy/beef side than clear. The wontons were abundant too, instead of a chili oil the sauce is more like a tangy sweet chili vinegrette thing. My accompaniment got a garlic noodle soup (fried garlic oil) that was rich and also in a huge bowl. For the price and portion its a hidden gem for someone who needs to feed a family. Not like gourmet, but good enough! Omg, also I missed the corn milk :((
