My husband and I haven't had pho since the pandemic haha. It's not the same getting pho delivered to your home, ya know?! My husband ordered pho oxtail and I had pho brisket. We also ordered crispy egg rolls and popcorn chicken for our son. Let me tell you the oxtail was delicious! My pho brisket hit the spot. And our son enjoyed his egg rolls and popcorn chicken. I come here specifically for their chicken pho because they use a separate chicken broth that is so clear, clean, and filled with flavor. The chicken is also tender and overall, I love the taste. I just enjoy chicken broth in general and it's always hard finding a place that will use chicken broth over beef broth for their chicken pho. I know they're known for their other dishes which I'm sure is just as delicious but whenever I crave chicken pho, this is where I'll always go. Service is great as well. read more

This has became our new favorite pho spot. My sister and I had the chicken (10/10) and I had the brisket pho (10/10). They do not hold back on the meat! If you end up going I would also recommend the mango jasmine tea, so GOOD! Definitely coming back because they also provide great service :) read more

Their broth was flavorful and served hot until end of meal (unusual). There's only one size offering and it was generous; difficult to finish. I got their rib bones pho, tender, yum. I would recommend. My mom got Pho Tai with tendons and meatball. She would just recommend the pho tai. Popcorn chicken is good, not greasy; small portion, not meant for sharing. We came on a hot weekday, the ambiance clean, but hot and stuffy; it was breezier outside. They should turn on the AC. The space is small, about ten tables? The pho portion size was good with good meat and noodle. We had the grilled pork that was good too. They were quick at getting orders as food out. The service at first was very disappointing. I can see why servers pass food over kid because they are shorter. But, involving cases of hot broth and sweet sauce, I wish they wouldn't. The server spilled nearly half a bowl of the sweet sauce on my 3 year old niece and proceeded like nothing happened. He later came back and offered a quick "I'm sorry". I'm sure he meant it but felt like he wouldn't have said anything if the little girl didn't scream "my hair". We all were taken back, stopped eating and tried to clean up the fish sauce from her hair and he walked away. Upset for the next few minutes, another server came to finish serving us noticing we were all not happy. We didn't complain but she asked what happened so we told her. She reacted how I wish the initial server would. She was very apologetic and got wet napkins to get the fish sauce smell from the child's hair. She even offered the children apple juice. Accidents happens and it's understandable. It's what happens next that makes all the difference. Because of the nice lady, I might come back. read more

This place is the bomb! Walking in I was greeted by Danny who was extremely friendly as our server. I really enjoyed his energy and his fun conversations. Along with the great service, the food is on another level! I really enjoyed the rib bone pho as it provided a very fun experience separating the meat from the bones. The meat was delicious and worked amazingly with the broth and noodles. Complimenting all this was the nice variety of sauces. As a whole, this place is a top hit for pho spots and would definitely return! read more

I came back from a late trip on Memorial Day and wanted something warm to eat. I stumbled upon this spot and gave it a try, Service was very quick and excellent. Ordered food for pick up online & when I stepped in, I kneeeewwww my food was gonna smack just from the aroma when u enter. WHEEWW, it smelled so good! Lol I got spring rolls & chicken banh mi. chicken banh mi was soooo good! The bread was warm and soft on the inside but still had that banh mi bread "crunch" to it. Just absolutely tasty! I do wish it had a cucumber spear though; I can't recall if it had some but if it did it wasn't much, however, totally not a dealbreaker because WOOOW, it was DELISHHHH. Especially with the green sauce. The spring rolls were also very tasty; the peanut sauce was good too but I will say I've had better. again, it does not diminish the flavor of this one lol. I was in need of some comfort today and soup usually hits the spot. I tried the mixed beef soup at the recommended of my server, it had many things I would normally not try but I just went for it and good thing I did. This soup was like a big hug from a loved one. Looking for a good pho place in HB and Yelp did not disappoint. Place was clean, Food was fresh, Service was friendly. Lots of food selection. This place definitely hit the spot for late night Vietnamese food. I got the house combo vermicelli that came with a crispy egg roll, grilled pork, shrimp, assorted veggies, and vermicelli and my gosh it was loaded. Every chopstick full of noodles that I had seemed unending no matter how much I dug in there! It is a great bang for your buck. The shrimp was grilled nicely, pork was sweet and savory along with the fish sauce. The crispy egg roll was delicious. Everything made for a refreshing and light feeling late night meal. The pork was tender and the veggies were crispy and fresh all around. All in all, excellent spot for Vietnamese food. This is my 4th trip to Pho Lab. Their pho is outstanding! The way they prepare their broth and meat is very flavorful and excellent. To add to noodle bowls Is additional side plate of toppings of basil, limes, bean sprouts. Simply delish and a must try! My mother had a plate dish : Shrimp garlic & noodles. She loves shrimp and said this plate is so so good. The location is easy to find plenty of parking. Inside restaurant is clean bright and simple. This is my partners favorite pho place. Every time he visits he has to come here once if not a couple times. The pho is delicious. I usually get the rib bone pho. There is always 2-3 big bones per bowl. 5/5 The charbroiled pork spring rolls are also very good. The peanuty savory sauce is perfect with it and the spring rolls have a crunchy bit in it which gives it that extra new texture. 5/5 The garlic noodle shaken filet mignon has lot of garlic in it and bell peppers. Only thing I would say is it was a bit oily. 4/5 The boba is made in small batches so its soft and fresh. The owner usually comes around and talks to customers. Shes super friendly and nice. For our meal, we ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip as an appetizer, along with the Chowder Bowl, Bikini Paddle Salad, Steakhouse Tacos, and Fish & Chips. The chowder bowl was very good. I especially appreciated that they make the chowder in-house. It was loaded with potatoes and had a rich, creamy flavor. My only complaint is that I would have liked a few more clams. The Steakhouse Tacos were delicious and had a unique flavor thanks to the addition of blue cheese crumbles. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip was also served in a bread bowl, which was a nice touch. The Fish & Chips were probably the weakest dish of the meal. According to my mom, the fish was a bit bland. However, she really enjoyed the Greek-style salad that came with her meal. We've been here 3 times in the last week. It would be fabulous if the world learned about Garlic Noodles by Joy and they HAD to install a check in machine Because people were waiting outside.

We've noticed a lot of returning customers, whom the server knew well, so it had to be a good sign. The spicy pork wontons were solid, can't go wrong. The golden beef noodle soup wasn't too sour, contained a lot of beef, and was a very generous portion Overall, for its price point, it was well worth the visit. Would definitely come back to try other entrees.

Because of that, I came in with high expectations and was excited to try it. The restaurant itself is nice, spacious, and clean. My family of 3 was seated at a table near the back of the restaurant. The food came out fairly quickly, which was a plus. However, there were several service issues. There was no silverware on our table, and even after the staff brought me two small bowls that I requested, they still did not realize we had no utensils. I had to remind them. The phở was okay. The flavor was decent, although not as rich as I expected. My biggest disappointment was that the broth was not hot enough. For me, a bowl of phở should be served piping hot, and the lukewarm broth took away from the experience. I also overheard a customer at the next table telling the waiter that their soup was not hot enough, so it seemed that I was not the only one who noticed this issue. I also ordered Bun Cha HN and a Com Bo luc lac to go. The Bun Cha came out first, and I was told to wait for the other dish. After about 10 more minutes, it still had not arrived. I had to remind the staff again, and they brought it out almost immediately, which made it seem like the order had been forgotten in the kitchen. Overall, I came in with very high expectations because of the owner's inspiring story, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to them. While the restaurant has potential, the service issues and the temperature of the phở broth were disappointing enough that I do not think I will be returning.

Apparently, this method of chicken preparation has been available in Vietnam for over a decade. This store claims to be the first to serve it here in Southern California. Typically, fried chicken is breaded and immersed in cooking oil to deep fry. In this case, the chicken is brined but not breaded. Instead of being submerged in oil, a steady stream of hot cooking oil is poured over the chicken until it's fully cooked. The goal is to make the skin crispy (like a chicharron), while keeping the interior moist. On this first occasion, I ordered the chicken and rice for $14.99 and a can of Coca-Cola for $2.49. With tax of $1.35, the total came to $18.83 before gratuity. The plate featured a leg and thigh, a bowl of steamed rice, a side salad, and dipping sauce. The chicken was cooked well--moist, with all the fat rendered from the skin, leaving it thin and crispy--though it was a bit saltier than I would have preferred. The rice wasn't plain white rice but was cooked with chicken broth and seasonings, adding extra flavor. The salad was fresh with a light dressing. The bottom line is that I really enjoyed this style of fried chicken. This restaurant also offers pho, along with a variety of other rice and noodle dishes.

It isn't made with broken rice, but still will fill your belly with delicious flavors. Highly recommend their pho with some pickled onions on the side, and if you're looking for the best combo for your large pho, I simply go for 1-4!

All were really good. Just have to be careful on which level of spice you like because a 3 out of 6 is fire. Can imagine what 6 is like. We will be back

The interior of the restaurant was modern and decorated like a garden. The star of the show was the food for sure. I ordered the Phở Bếp Việt, which was essentially their house special pho with a variety of cuts of beef. My wife ordered the Bánh Cuốn Tôm Cháy with no meat and extra tofu. She told me that she absolutely loved it and totally cleaned her plate at the end of the meal. My pho was exquisite as well. The broth was very tasty and slightly sweet due to its beefiness. The meats were also quite good with the sliced rib eye being the best of them all. We will definitely be making this restaurant a must-visit the next time we're down in the OC and craving Vietnamese food.

Because we were stuck in the hospital for 10days, I did not have time to try the iconic Banh Mi Chao, a Hanoi specialty so I welcome the opportunity here. 1) We ordered "Bo Ne" idk why they called it Bo ne, it looked like banh mi chao to me, a filet mignon sizzling in a sauce w a generous amount of onion and garlic, it also came with a sunny side up egg, a salad and a baguette. It was delicious and only $22. The filet was tender, recently I had filet elsewhere that was chewy enough that it could potentially knock out my crowns! LOL! 1 think though they could get a better baguette, the baguette here taste kind of lame. Next time I'll bring my MAGGI sauce then it would be a 5 stars item too. 2) For appetizer we had egg rolls, only $8 the filling was lacking flavor, I tasted no real meat, it was mostly taro or whatever they put in there however their dipping sauce was just perfect w a little lemon unlike most restaurants which made them sweet like syrup! 3) The Bep Viet Pho which was a combination of meatballs, filet Mignon and briskets. I love the meatballs here, it's huge and very tasty not the small meatballs bought frozen from supermarket. My guess is they either made it here or bought fresh from a factory in GG. They also garnish w a lot of fresh onions and cilantro, chives and bean sprouts. A solid 5 IMHO. The restaurant was empty when we got there, later a couple of customers came, they need more diners, in my reviews of all the restaurants advertised on social medias, most if not all were fake, they hired professional photographers then posted really slick videos, the food was even inedible, this restaurant deserves so much better, although it is true location, location are important bc there is no foot traffic here, they need to spend some money advertising, it will pay off 10fold. I'm trying to help them by writing this YELP review I'm so busy but I'll tell my social media followers about this gem, if you have not come here, try it you will like it and thank me later!
