REVIEW FROM 2/15/26 (which I thought I posted...) This is a copy of the e-mail I sent to management regarding our first experience here: I have to say (as much as I wanted to enjoy our FIRST visit at your establishment) we absolutely were highly, to the utmost disappointed in our service tonight. Our waitress (Chau?) came by our table to take our order and we NEVER saw her again. We ordered an appetizer and two pho's. We received our appetizer and before we even took a bite, one minute later our entrees arrived. We, like most diners, prefer to enjoy our app and receive our entree AFTER the appetizer plates have been removed. This was not the case tonight. I counted how many times our waitress passed our table (a dozen) and NOT ONCE check to see how everything was. To add to our frustration at this point here are other things we noted: - trash was still in the black basket when we sat down - we ordered water and never received those (until ten mins later another server brought them. - waitress never brought the straw to go w the Thai tea we ordered (which she claimed she would bring right back). - we had three to four different people we had to flag down for service. - the Hoisin sauce ran out and we were unable to get more. - we had to get up and get more bags for our food. - we had to get up and get more containers for food. - one waiter stood by and watched as this was going on and not once offered to assist. - our table was NEVER cleared of dirty dishes. - one waiter dropped our check immediately after we bagged everything up. I must say, dropping the check was the fastest service we received all night. With all of this being said, I will commend the food you serve. Everything was delicious and now we see why there was a small wait out the door when we arrived. However, terrible service will always supersede awesome, delicious food in a lot of books. Mine included. It is sad to say because we would love to come again for the food but after this experience we will not be returning. read more

We ordered: Shrimp spring rolls 3/5 Egg rolls 5/5 Grilled pork chop with rice 4/5 - rice was dry, but the pork chop was very flavorful. The fried egg we added really elevated the dish. Shaken beef with rice 3/5 - rice was dry, but overall your basic shaken beef. First meal in OC where I was craving some soup and glad we swung by. Spacious restaurant with a fairly large menu. The pho is served in a stone pot and while it may not initially look like a lot of food, we were stuffed. Soup broth was clean and flavorful - yum. For my beef rib pho, it came with 2 ribs and you can also add on other toppings for a surcharge. I was fiending for spring rolls and it's great that they provide options of different fillings besides the usual pork and shrimp which is what we got but the rolls really hit the spot. Something about them here was different - not sure what it is but they were just soft, supple and had good texture. Hmmm...might be that crunchy, refreshing cucumber. We were the first customers this morning! Never been here before but so glad we decided to stop in. I really liked that they were open an hour earlier than most restaurants(11am). Beautiful decor with an open concept. Not too much going on but just enough to double take once you look up. We were warmly greeted and waited on by Johnny, he was really on top of his game! We ordered two bowls of Pho and their spring rolls. Broth was on point, meat was tender and their peanut sauce had that "just right" ratio of hoisin and peanut butter. Doing this review a few weeks late but my family was arriving in LA late at night and needed a late night spot to eat at. This place was open late and close to a Costco so we decided to give it a try. They recently had a grand opening. We were one of only 2 parties there at the time so we had pretty attentive service. We got two bowls of combination fee, one with one with well done beef and the other with rare beef. They serve it in a special hot stone bowl that keeps the soup hot the whole time. I thought it was a decent bowl of pho but nothing special. Since it was late at night, they were out of basil and mint leaves at the time. We also tried the shaken beef and grilled beef garlic noodles. My dad forgot to tell them he likes his beef medium rare, the beef we got was more on the medium well/well done side, not ideal for us but also not their fault. The shaken chicken however was really dry. The garlic noodles were bland. I'm sure they have picked it up since then though. read more

Lots of noodles. Great broth. Wish there was a bit more meat. Beautiful presentation. Free drink and dessert. I chose iced tea for my drink. Pretty yummy! I tried their special pho , oxtail, spring rolls, and thai tea and green Thai milk tea. All did not disappoint. The pho broth was delicious! It's ran by young family members, and although the interior is bigger than its competitor, it just lacked the most important thing, flavor. One of my favorites was the beef rib bones - the ribs were tender and juicy, falling right off the bone that matched perfectly with the pho, and the soup was packed with flavor from the bones! The green thai tea was also so good, even better than Seaside bakery's because it's not as overly sweet! It was still their soft opening when we went and there was a dinner rush so our food didn't come out for a while. We didn't mind waiting though because they were very friendly and the food was great. Billy was very attentive and always making sure we are accommodated. He had a great welcoming attitude as soon as we walked in and I'm a stickler on good service. Pho Lucious is literally SO DELICIOUS. I went around 11:30 PM, and let me just say...... the service? IMMACULATE. There was a guy and two girls serving us, and they were all so kind and sweet! They checked up on us like four times, making sure everything was perfect. Super friendly, super attentive, and just an overall great vibe. Now, let's talk about the pho. Absolutely chef's kiss. The broth was rich, flavorful, and hit the spot perfectly!!  LITETARALLY everything you want in a good bowl of pho. The noodles were the perfect texture, and the meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. I wish I took a picture, but we ate it so fast... that should tell you everything! And the spring rolls? So fresh, packed with flavor, and paired with that sauce. Oh my god, the sauce. I NEED THE RECIPE. If you're craving late-night pho, this is 100% the spot. We visited Pholuscious for the first time on Sunday's morning around 10:00am. There were 2 other parties beside us. The restaurant was clean and have lots of tables available. We were greeted and got seated right away. We ordered the special bowl and pick your 3 items bowl. The soups came out in the hot stone bowl. We love that the hot stone bowls help keeping the soup hot until we finished. We both enjoyed the soup. Service was great, they checked on us, brought free desserts and the bill to the table. Parking is plenty. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. The only thing is I wish they open at 9:00am instead of 10:00am. read more
