I live directly above Piatti. I've been eating there for 9 years. Tonight was my last visit. The food is just OK and the prices have skyrocketed. But the reason I will never return is because they now have four restrooms all labeled "All Genders". There are theee icons on the door. One is a woman, the second is a man, and the last is a figure that has a dress on the left side of the body and pants on the right. The management should consider what happen to BudLight when they became "Woke". This is freaking TEXAS, not California. There are two genders you idiots; MAN AND WOMAN. Besides, this whole woke movement is dying. People are coming to their senses. Somebody needs to let management know that they will lose more customers than they will gain with this crap. I came to Piatti to celebrate my mother's birthday yesterday and overall was very satisfied with my experience. The moment we walked in the restaurant we were warmly greeted and sat in our reserved table. The server was friendly and really enjoyed the personalized birthday dinner menu. It's all about the details and Piatti sure knows how to make an impression! We also enjoyed the fact that the servers recommended appropriate selections on the menu. I ordered the spinach ravioli and my mother ordered another pasta and both dishes were very tasty. Quality of food was good and texture was fresh. So authentic! I order the flat iron stake which was cooked perfectly (medium rare). Came with garlic spinach, and some potato wedges. My meal was very good. Great taste and nice and warm when it came to the table. My wife had the chicken. Huge piece of chicken. Cooked to perfection with really good spices. It sat on a bed of asparagus, leeks, garlic and onions. This is the newest outpost at Eilan of the Piatti at the Quarry. Really nice location and an excellent patio in good weather make this quite a nice place to hang out, especially for happy hour. Service can range from brusque to very attentive and the food has been consistent. Shrimp in sambuca were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of Sambuca making them aromatic, yet not sweet, pizzetti are always well made and have a perfect amount of sauce and toppings to leave them chewy-crisp yet not soggy. Wine pours can be less than generous even on non-happy hour glasses, which is a bit of a pain. I have been less impressed with the dinner here than the one at the Quarry. The few occasions we had dinner, the fish was overcooked once and pasta mushy. Too hungry to send fish back the first time and pointing it out to the waitress elicited a response of "I like it well done" ...because by all means its about the wait staff and not patrons. The pasta was sent back and fixed pretty quickly and was decent when redone. But it was over sauced. Overall reasonably decent place to hand out with a quaff and snacks and a chill patio! read more

I celebrated Christmas brunch with my girlfriends a few days before Christmas Day. We sat outside to enjoy the unusually warm weather and the beautiful decorations on the property. Overall, I had fantastic service, food, and ambiance --- but the wine selection needs help! Highlights: I got the crab cakes with the Brussels sprouts and the tomato bisque soup. We visited the La Cantera location near Eilan- very nice area which would have been perfect for outdoor dining if it wasn't so windy. Carpaccio starter, pomodoro soup, and tagliatelle pasta were all great choices. The pasta "small" dish option was such a friendly portion and was more than enough for two. I got the bill and there was a 3% "service fee". I asked what the service fee was, they said "we're a Californian company", ummm what??? Your company is from California so you can trick me out of 3% of the bill?? In tiny print on the bottom of the menu that I never noticed before getting the bill it says there is a 3% service fee. The thing is that I didn't read the tiny print on the bottom of a menu, who does?? The menu isn't a contract you shouldn't have to read fine print, this should not be a legal thing to do if it is, but it wasn't worth fighting it and making a scene with the management and they know this, people are passive and don't want to create a stink over a measly 3%. Why don't they just put on the bottom of the menu in fine print that you owe them your savings account?? The 3% is just enough to where most people don't want to look cheap and question this and an easy way to increase their profit by 3% with little push back. The 3% service fee shouldn't exist, it should be worked into the price of the food so there aren't any unethical surprises. I couldn't care less about the money, this is purely principle, total BS. They should take their 3% fine print BS service fee and head back to California with it. Good food, but aggravating enough that I would never go back until this was fixed. Just paid our $145 bill...pretty disappointing. Seated in a 2 person high top in the empty bar area, we watched the mixing of our cocktails and then waited for our drinks so long that we almost went over to get them ourselves. The large group of wait staff hung out together to chat most of the time we were there on the other side of the bar area. The Caesar salad was sooo salty we could barely eat two bites, and our waitress didn't even ask about the untouched salad when she took it away, or if we wanted to take the rest of the other appetizer home, just piling the full plate of salad on top of the half-eaten burrata and bread in haste because our entrees came out very quickly (which is fine! But we wanted to save the burrata for later). Our pasta dishes were way too spicy to eat--and we usually love spicy--our waitress had recommended we make it spicy. We took the majority of both plates of pasta home in a to-go box because our noses and eyes were running from the level of heat. Not worth the 145$ we just blew, and we definitely would've ordered another cocktail during entree had we been asked. What a bummer. Restaurant was nice. Not busy. Was able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful day. Was a little annoyed that the host and waiter were not forthcoming with the happy hour menu. Why else would I be there on a Friday at 4pm? They seemed irritated when I asked for a happy hour menu after they had already brought other menus out. So first impression was great! Valet quickly greeted us with a smile. Walk inside & it's beautiful! Great patio seating & spacious indoor seating. Still impressed. We called ahead to say 9 of us were coming & upon our arrival the table was set & ready. Another thumbs up. This however is where things went down hill. We go to put our kids in the 2 high chairs they set up for us & they were dirty. So we go get antibacterial wipes & start cleaning the seats. Nobody offer to help or checks in. We sit down & pick up the kids menus to order for the kids & very are very dirty also. The tables are a beautiful wood with deep grooves...which are full of old food Mind you, this is noon on a Sunday, so more than likely all this mess is left over from Saturday So gross! We push the menus aside & order. First, the service is very slow. Not good for kids or for people wanting to eat & go. Plan to be there a while. The bread served was yummy. I got tomato basil soup & it was good. The wedge salad I got had way too much blue cheese on it, I ate maybe half. The kids pizza was good & the panini was good. The wait staff was very nice & well presented. The bathrooms were clean too. The music was much too loud in my opinion for a Sunday lunch. I've had 3 different salads there all of which left the feeling of freshness & not an overpowering flavor of added sugars or salt. The tastes are crisp & clean, letting the veggies, nuts or cheese be the stars. I've also had two different chicken dishes that I can't find the words to describe their perfection. Meat was cooked divinely a little crisp on the out but maintaining the juicy flavors & with the meat being organic, you can honestly taste the difference. You must give one of there chicken dishes a try. I also love the beverage options some fun choices both non & alcoholic & they serve purified water that is chilled. A wonderful glass bottle of chilled purified water with no ice is set at your table for your pleasure. The ambiance is superb both dining inside & out. I have been a patron at this beautiful Piattis location for a few years and have ALWAYS been impressed so it's time I write a review! This past summer we celebrated a birthday and a homecoming for family members both with parties of over 8 people. On both occasions the food was delicious and the service impeccable. When I called to make reservations they asked if it was a special occasion, they printed up menus customized w honorees name at the top ... such a nice touch! Would like to give Christian our server last night a shout out on the awesome service he provided for our table of ten in the bar area. Our drinks were always full and his attentiveness while we were dining was amazing. Finally I called the establishment and was told they are located within a resort near La Canterra Shops. The food itself was delicious. I like to grab some food here before heading to George's Keep (right above the restaurant) They have $6 pizzas (yummy!) and great prices for wine, select cocktails, and beer. Anything on the happy hour menu is worth the price and tastes great. At the same time, items I've ordered off the regular menu are ok. I generally base my ratings on price, value, and quality. I think it's great food for the happy hour prices but the for the regular menu I think the food quality is ok (I actually find it over priced). I've had several pasta dishes, their cheese plate, and a burger. They were all meh considering the quantity and price. The cheese plate was good but really skimpy and the burger was blah. Found this on yelp and glad we did. They are in a relatively new area across the highway from most of the shooping so weren't busy. We were promptly seated and give water to drink. Bread and a doping oil was placed on the table shortly thereafter. In addition to several speciality alcoholic drinks they had two non alcoholic and just about everyone chose the peach tea and had glass after glass of it. Our orders were taken and promptly delivered. Everyone was supper happy. I had a dish with shaved zucchini as the pasta and a red sauce (I skipped the cream addition), pine nuts and chicken.
