I arrived at 10am for my scheduled appointment to inspect my spark plugs to ensure the service was performed and to install the hybrid engine cover that was damaged by the mechanic. I was reassured yesterday via phone that Don, the manger will be present to personally oversee that the work will be done properly. I initially asked for a 830am time but agreed at 10am to work with his schedule as he switched from the other shop in Laguna Niguel. However, he was a no show and this increases my lack of confidence for this shop with providing quality customer service. I had no choice but to work with the same service advisor that left me with a unsettling experience when he was not proactive to inform me of a missing part in my vehicle. Nevertheless, I was allowed to oversee the spark plug inspection and the installation of the hybrid cover. Since moving to Placentia 3-1/2 years ago I've taken my vehicle to Placentia Super Service. The waiting room is clean, comfortable and the candy dish is always full. Free coffee, sodas and water. Today I took it in for an oil change and ask them to check it out thoroughly as we are moving out of state and I wanted to be sure it would make it cross country (it's 18 years old!). As usual the took excellent care to check it out. I left there feeling quite confident that I had reliable transportation that would not leave me stranded. Plus, they washed the car and gave me t-shirts for myself, my husband and my son. Everyone in the front office is very friendly. But this is a special shoutout to Benjamin and Joe. Thank you guys. I will never use Placentia Super Store again. They got me into a predatory loan to pay for my car repair. I agreed but not aware of any of the APR details I signed on for, as the salesperson repeatedly said 3months to pay. Most likely they will say legally I am at fault for that, but being a single person and in a rush, and feeling pressured for the 3rd time by Placentia Super Service that I needed repairs on my car, I did it. They're pretty upfront and honest about issues with your car and discussing all of your possible options. I would say they are a little on the pricer side but they are pretty thorough. This shop is nothing more than disappointing. I dropped my car off to have some tests run on the exhaust system. It was a one day project, I had to call to check on it daily, and got it back 3 days later. They then wanted to discuss what they found on the "60 point inspection" but I'm pretty sure they forgot to check the exhaust. When I mentioned that, they told me what I had told them when I brought it in, a code off of a scanner. Bottom line is they have flashy programs, a clean shop, and could care less about value or customer service. I let them know this off of YELP so they didn't take the review hit, but then I keep getting "marketing messages" from the "owner". Update. After my initial service to replace the TPMS sensor, the light started blinking again on following Monday 5/26. Due to timing, I called on Tuesday 5/27 to schedule an appointment to bring the car back in to reassess. I requested to have Samson look at my car again as he was the initial person who received and worked on my car and the apportionment was arranged by phone. I brought the car in on Friday 5/30 around 9:30 AM and had asked for a shuttle service back home while the car was being serviced, which was requested and arranged before my arrival to the shop. Samson took in my car and provided me a shuttle ride back home and stated he will look at my problem that same day, suggesting I return the next day with my husband. Saturday 5/31, my husband and I arrived together in the morning around 0900 and met with Samson. Unfortunately, this experience warranted us not wanting to come back. Walking through Samson's reassessment that morning, he would undermine our observations and stating their calibrating equipment wasn't working right. He continued to assure that "physically, everything is ok but the calibration isn't registering". He stated the Master technician locked away their alternative calibrating equipment that was in "better working" condition. He included to say that Master technician was not able to look at my car on Friday when it was scheduled to be brought in and yet when I was making the phone call arrangements early on that week, I was recommended to make this appointment on weekdays M-F when the master technician is available. To add, since I requested a shuttle service back home while waiting for my car to be evaluated, he used that as an excuse as to why my car was not worked on at the time the Master technician locked away was present and now we are asked to return on another day again. read more

It was my first visit here the other day after finding them on Yelp. Checked out their website and found the business has been there for 40 years and the new owners have owned it since 2016. Well, I needed an oil change. I wanted to support a local, family owned business instead of the huge corporations, so I decided to give Placentia Super Service a try. I made a 10:30am appointment online for an oil change through their website and received confirmation of the appointment a few minutes later via email. Upon walking in, I immediately noticed a very clean lobby/waiting area. It was around 1020 when I walked in. Benjamin and another guy were sitting there. Benjamin asked how he could help me and I told him I had made an appt for an oil change. He ask how I made the appt., I told him. He asked when I made the appt, I told him that also. He asked what it was for, I told him. He asked me my name and a few more questions and then took my keys. At 1036, my car was driven to the back by a woman. At 1044, I watched my car drive away with a man driving. I asked where the car was going and Benjamin stated they test drive every vehicle. The other man sitting up there with Benjamin didn't speak once. Very comfortable waiting room, free coffee, soda, water and other snacks. Cool window to watch what is going on out in the shop area too. At 1145, my car was done. Benjamin had sent me photos the technician had took during a free 60-point inspection. The photos were of items thye deemed in need of repair. Those repairs (1 rear leaking shock, 2 worn out front lower control arm bushings, dirty transmission fluid) came to over $2,200, so I had to decline them for now, but glad I know about them. My full synthetic oil change came to $112.56. I was quoted that price before handing over my keys so it wasn't a surprise, but it was the most I've ever spent on a 4.6 quart synthetic oil change with an oil filter. All seemed well and I left. Glad to have the oil changed finally and glad I was home is 10 minutes. The next day, when I pulled the car out of the garage, there was a small puddle of oil under the car. I emailed them a photo and received an immediate response to bring it back down so they could look at it. I also received a text from Benjamin to bring it back. I wasn't feeling the best and was going to wait but decided to head down as suggested and met with Benjamin (the other guy was still sitting there and still not uttering a word). He took the car right in, and him and the tech inspected it for about 10-15 minutes. I waited in the waiting room. As I waited, the owner Bob C. walked past me. He didn't acknowledge me there, but I recognized him from their website. Celebrity sighting! Anyhow, the oil drip was found to just be residual oil that was spilled somewhere either inside the engine bay or under the car yesterday during the oil change. That oil eventually dripped down to my garage floor. So benjamin said they cleaned it up and tightened everything again as a precaution. I was then on my way. Nice people, huge shop, very clean and comfortable. Service was okay and the prices are kind of high, for me anyways. Not complaining about anything, just giving a review of my only experience there. They did save me a long drive to get an oil change and was happy to give a family business my business. read more
