I am new to the area and I was looking for an honest mechanic. I came across Placentia super service through Yelp. I will definitely agree with all their many positive reviews. I am very impressed with the information they text you, they will forward pictures and a break down of what fixtures your car needs. I brought it here for a simple brake fluid flush and ended up paying a lot more due to a dealership inspection I previously had. I was in need of a transmission and engine mount replacement. After careful inspection the mechanic found an engine leak that I immediately needed to take care of. Alex Lakis was my service advisor and he was able to pull a few strings to lower the price down which I greatly appreciated. I had several services done here and each time I came, the crew were friendly and understanding. They are transparent and thorough when explaining the maintenance on your car. They also have a statewide warranty wear they give you a detailed pamphlet on how many miles are covered if they do a service on you and will replace or fix any issues for FREE if there are problems after they fix it. I came a year ago for both of my brake pads and rotors replaced, came recently again because of weird noises and rough stops. They replaced the front brakes for FREE! They do get very busy although since they are very popular so ask for a car rental or a ride back home. Good people and reasonable prices. Found this shop on yelp a couple months ago decided to give it a shot because of the good reviews, and they earned their good reviews they do an excellent job, trustworthy and jasper is the best guy to help you out with any questions you have, I also like that they have this digital inspection that shows you the condition your car is in and what needs work if any, no more being told by other mechanics your air filter is dirty and you need new brake pads this and that done and you don't get to see, Placentia super service will show you the condition they are in and I really like that. Took my Ford Flex here for a transmission problem. They could have convinced me I needed anew transmission but instead they found that I only needed a minor $350 repair. They also helped me to know about some other repairs that I needed including new brakes. So I did that and a tune up. Thrilled with the cost and the professional way I was treated. I had been quoted $1200 to $2000 by 3 other shops. PSS came in at just over $1000, so I decided to give them a shot. I'm so glad I did! "It was a couple of blown fuses and a Freon recharge". $200! This is my third visit to this shop and I am still happy to be bringing my car here. When I arrived, everyone was wearing masks and there were plexy partitions installed. They had expanded their waiting area which was very clean which I appreciated since I had to wait there and felt comfortable doing so. Besides regular maintenance, I had them install a hitch for me. I had scheduled a specific time with the owner who told me it shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but when I arrived, Michael told me it would probably take longer but will try their best. I had almost 4 hours so decided to stay. He knew I had to leave by a specific time to pick up my daughter and kept me updated. The techs were struggling a bit with the hitch installation and had to take longer than expected, so Michael went above and beyond to help me pick up my daughter. When we got back, the work was done and the techs did an great job with my car. They informed me of what may need attention in the near future but were not necessary at the moment so I can prepare. What a great place very knowledgeable and friendly very fair prices as well. My tire had cut all the wires underneath my wheel well I had no lights and was getting harassed by police. it was a Saturday when I took my car and they were very busy however they somehow found time to finish my car with limited time left, Andrew is very good guy very friendly ,everybody in that shopm I definitely will go there again for any kind of service that I need, I highly recommend it .I back it 100%. The price seems a bit steep but considering this car is not easy to get parts for I guess it's worth it and the work is very good.

My car has been having problems since last year, every mechanic I went to always said it was something else, never the same thing but coming here they told what was causing my problem, faulty wiring and overcharge alternator was the problem and my car has run so well now, and that's why I really like it coming here, when I asked for details on how they repaired my car, they do tell me. They're are a lot more open and honest, and that's what I like about them and when I asked for the invoice they did give it to me!!! read more

I use to really love this shop but more recently they got in the habit of up selling. I went in for a $30 repair, literally it was around $25 plus taxes and they quoted me almost $3,500 worth of others things that needed to be address asap due to "negligent auto maintenance on my part" and "just simply not taking care of my car" the words used whe telling me about it. Luckily, I didn't give in, I normally would but in this case I just felt absurd leaving paying $3,500 when the actual problem was $30. They used to also let me used the loaner car for free and now it's a charge which I don't mind because they do need to make money or at least not lose money on the ware and tear, but okay charge me the $20 loaner fee do not make me feel as if my luxury vehicle is a lemon to try and get me to pay for unnecessary maintenance. Yes, I know these are recommendations but using guilt tactics to try to pressure people into paying isn't good business. Also, saying some repairs are emergencies like oil and coolant flushes is also bad business because it's not and it can wait, but that's not how it was presented. Since yelp makes you give one star I would give this to the lobby snacks, chargers, and the young lady who sits up front who is ALWAYS pleasant and helpful! To SOME not ALL but SOME of the gentlemen who work there, DO BETTER! Stop trying to rip females off just because we don't all know cars!! read more
