    Rice balls
    Abel T.

Let me just say--this is hands down the best rice ball I've ever had. I got the Cali Mix, which has tuna, salmon, and imitation crab. It was only $3.95, and I originally got it because I'm on a light diet. I could've gone with a bowl, but I decided to keep it simple and go with the rice ball. The flavor blew me away. Everything tasted super fresh, and the mix of proteins was perfect. I ended up going back and getting a second one right after. I also tried it with the fire poke sauce, which had a nice kick and a hint of ginger--so good. The customer service was great too. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place. Five stars, no question. Place is nice and clean. It is a little bit tough getting parking on the weekends, but totally were trying.

    Large poke bowl

Good selection of topping for the poke bowl, lot more than usual places. Super fresh ingredients, , large bowl is big enough to share or save for later.

Recently got into poke, and honestly, there's no turning back. I've been to this location a few times now, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I've even stayed to get some work done in the restaurant, which has a chill vibe. I usually go with the large bowl (4 scoops): 2 scoops of salmon, 1 tuna, and 1 Cali mix, then load it up with my favorite toppings. While I've had better poke elsewhere in San Diego, for a chain spot, this place definitely gets the job done.

Dog that was jumping on counter

This man brought in his non service dog and was Jumping on the counters multiple times! Instead of the employees asking him to leave the poor scared dog had to wait for the owner to order and pay. And then the other employee went and pet the dog and went back to making food, I was so grossed out I left without being able to finish my food

I've been traveling around San Diego recently and am always in the mood for some poke, so I decided to try Poki One N Half. There's few poke places that just hit the spot, but it was THAT good. The girl who took my order was very nice; she let me take my time choosing! They have a good variety of proteins (what other place has scallops!!!!??!). The toppings were also very robust. I got a regular bowl with salmon, spicy tuna, and scallops and it was SO delicious. I'm out of the country now, but I'm still craving it. It might just be my first meal when I get back. The location was a little small and parking was hard to find, as you have to street park, but I think it's absolutely worth it. If you're considering poke for lunch, I recommend here! There's a bit of outside seating and indoor seating. If I had the time, I would've sat outside and just people watched. It's really pretty in that area and close to a lot of cute shops.

Awesome customer off the bat immediately greeted. Great fresh selection of seafood protein. Toppings and sauces to customize ur bowl a must. I've been back many times and I'd for sure recommend this place.

I drove all the way from Anaheim Hills just to try Poki One n Half, and it was absolutely worth it! The prices were ridiculously affordable for the quality you get. Everything tasted super fresh and high quality. You can really tell they care about their ingredients. I'll definitely be coming back again!

Came in right after our flight landed in SD and was so glad we got this. Felt like eating something light and not greasy and this hit the spot! The interior is very casual and we saw lots of people coming for pickup. We each got a bowl with three scoops and we were stuffed. The team was friendly and service was quick. Super fresh and lots of veggies with unlimited toppings!

Been here a couple times and it could get busy. I feel like there short staff sometimes but they make it work. With the influx of ordering online and helping out customers. The salmon is my usually go to and it doesn't disappoint. All the sauces are pretty good and I can't complain on the style of poke bowl. The spicy mayo, fire and OG are my main sauces. I will keep coming here. The portions are off the charts here they don't skimp out on the proteins. Shout out to the workers there for hooking me up with a fat bowl!!!

    Small salmon bowl

Stopped in for a quick lunch because I was craving poke. There was one person working who seemed to manage the small line that just went through and the orders online that were coming in. I ordered a small bowl with salmon, and was alarmed when the total cost came to $17 after tax. As I understand it, the amount of fix ins are the same between a small, medium, and large bowl, but the amount of scoops of fish is different. I wish this spot had a small with bowl with less fix ins that you can buy for less money, between $10-$12 seems reasonable. The amount of food I got for a small bowl was a ton and was more than I wanted, but had pretty good flavor. For the amount of sides and rice you get, the ratio of fish seems very small, so I'd check out this spot if you want less poke and more sides with your meal. Other than the food, the place itself was extremely loud. I wanted to eat it there, but had to eat it outside because it was just so loud.

My go to poke! Fish is very fresh. A lot of options for toppings. Is it authentic Hawaiian poke? No. But that's not why you come here. I can't comment on service because I've had friends pick it up for me both times I've had it, but from reading other reviews and hearing from other people the service is great! Small bowl has plenty of food and is very filling. This is a great healthy lunch and I will keep coming back. c. Large Bowl 4 proteins and all the toppings. $20 enough for two
    Lei H.

Really like this place. Fresh ingredients and proteins. We got the large with 4 proteins all the toppings and half rice and half salad base. For about $20 plus $2 tip. They were also pretty nice. Recommend

But I had no qualms about it whatsoever, as I was more focused on the experience of the food. I ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese while my boyfriend ordered the Piccante. I was pleasantly surprised with how quick my food came to the table, with my boyfriend's not too long after. Despite the portion size, the fettuccine filled me up well and the marinara sauce was flavorful. My boyfriend raved about his pizza as well as the chili oil provided for garnish. (You can actually taste the chili in the chili oil, so be wary of that if you're one not accustomed to large spice.) Whether you're grabbing a coffee and guava pastry after a day of shopping or planning your next large event, I highly recommend Havana Grill. It's sure to taste good and be a crowd pleaser. To start, the food was amazing. The owner, Sandra, helped me plan a menu that would be satisfying and popular with all of the guests, but also within my budget. We settled on chafing dishes with arroz con pollo, frijoles negros, rice, lechón, ropa vieja, croquetas, plátanos maduros, and Cesar salad, and guests were able to add beverages, deserts, and any special dietary requests. Everything was a HIT. A week later, I'm still hearing how wonderful the food was-- even from guests with food restrictions and a relative who runs her own Cuban food business in another state! The atmosphere was perfect and the service was impeccable. Sandra, her Operations Manager (Markley), and the staff were fantastic to work with on the planning and preparation, as well as on the day of the event. The restaurant music and decor is already warm and inviting with an indoor tree, high ceilings, and a large dining area, so not much was needed to make it festive. Still, I wanted to place some photographs and memorabilia around the various tables to personalize it. The staff made it super easy to drop things off the night before, taking steps to communicate with each other and make sure nothing got lost. The next day, I arrived to see that they had set it up beautifully-- even adding flowers at each table. On the day of the event, service team (including Bree, Ramon) were attentive and friendly. Yuca fries were freshly made and perfectly tender inside with a crispy exterior. Tostones were also freshly made, tender and crispy. Ham croquettes had a good smoky ham flavor. Mariquitas and the plantains were equally well prepared. The appetizer plate came with their delicious mojo de ajo sauce for dipping. Their Lechon is still the best that I have ever had so I ordered that. It was tender, very flavorful, and came with black beans, rice, and plantains. I always order extra portions of their mojo de ajo to accompany my meal. The Lechon was, as always, very delicious. For dessert, I tried the Cuban Coffee Tres Leches cake. This was light in texture and not too sweet. The cake was soft and moist. There was a some coffee flavor but that could have been stronger for me. Nevertheless, this was a delicious ending to a very fine meal. Staff were efficient and friendly. I like the dine in format at this restaurant. The dining room is bright and airy with high ceilings. Very comfortable seating. Parking is plentiful in the adjoining lot but may be difficult depending on the time of day.
