Ok poke. First off, it's a little pricey. When you buy food in Buena Park, you should be paying Buena Park prices. Now, if this was Buena Park Beach or Corona Del Buena Park, then the cost would be justified. Overall, decent Poke. Was a little disappointed in their white rice. A bit dry. The fish was decent (spicy tuna, salmon) and they have nice add-ons and toppings. They have "Teriyaki" written on their front window, which was what I was gonna get. However, according to the employee, teriyaki is a thing of the past. Maybe take the sign down? Draw a line through it? Bummer. Cans of soda and other similarly canned beverages available. If you're near Knott's and have a hankering for poke, not a bad joint. read more

My go to Poke spot. Better than all the other poke chains I've tried and they have been consistent. I typically get the salmon with creamy Hawaiian and a little bit of spicy mayo. This review is long overdue! This has been my go-to poke for hmnn maybe the past 5 years or so! Their food has been consistently good, portioning is good, and they have many toppings to offer including scoop of avocado! The prices have gone up though overtime (as everything else with the inflation), but I'm going to continue to support their business because the quality and service is worth it imo! read more

Ordered delivery from here today. Packaged well and delivered on time via Uber Eats. Bowl was pretty decent size when compared to other poke places I have tried and packed full. It's across the street from Knott's Berry Farm. The convenience factor plays into my 3 star review. It's right next door to a great sushi spot which I will Also review. Now, I don't mind a small mom and pop restaurant, in fact I rather prefer them especially in a big metropolis like Los Angeles and Orange County. That being said, I like that they prepared my bowl in front of me. The Ingredients were fresh but very limited compared to other poke restaurants ie Poke Bomb in Cypress CA. There was very little wait time as there was only one person ahead of me. Great so far. The downfall are 2 key points. 1. The Flavor. My poke was bland, even after they added sesame oil and house sauce. Not thing jumped out at me except the bland tuna and salmon. 2. The portion was small for the price. The staff member working the register seemed to be hanging out with friends at the front counter and seemed bothered by someone walking in. This is my go-to place whenever I'm craving poke. I've ordered from here numerous times ever since they first opened and it's always delicious. I love that they have a variety of ingredients/toppings that you can add into your bowl. The price you pay for the portions they give isn't bad. For the base, you have a choice between white rice, brown rice, salad, and chips. You can even do half and half if you can't decide on only one. They have a lot of options for fish, including salmon, tuna, albacore, scallop, and more. I also like the different sauces you can choose to mix in with your fish. I usually get a large poke bowl with salad/chips and salmon/scallops/albacore mixed in with the ula ula and creamy Hawaiian sauce.. SO GOOD. I always order here and this place has always been great. I ordered off uber eats today and my food was dripping with sauce. I cant even taste what I'm eating, it's like a bowl of sauce . Im super disappointed! Usually they do a good job, but whoever made my food today I hope they learn not to do this! But today, my sister and I decided to get our typical orders and to our dismay only got HALF the amount we usually get. This is my bowl before eating. I moved the fish around to see how much I got and the pieces are so tiny. The spicy tuna was one of my proteins and I got one bite worth -- you can barely even see it next to the avocado. Severely disappointed by the quality of it today too. Their quality and quantity sure has changed. The girl serving the food was also very intentional with being frugal with how much she gave us. If the scoop seemed like too much, she would put some back into the tray. Not sure if I'll come back to this poki place seeing that they seem to be lowering their standards in both quality and quantity, while having this "regular" bowl be $11. Although I cannot compare Poki Yaki's quantity and quality to pre-COVID because it was my first time trying it, I'd have to say that I was very impressed with my food. We have to remember that the pandemic may have been hard on our small businesses and may cause some challenges and changes that require adaptation. The salmon was fresh and enjoyable. Because I was avoiding spicy food that day, I just got original ponzu as my sauce. It tasted good for the protein mix, but I added a little soy sauce which really helped with the flavor in the rest of the bowl. The price was acceptable. Avocado had no extra cost, so that's always a plus. Portions were fair as well. A regular is the perfect size for me. This place is okay, I had gotten the regular bowl with spicy tuna and got spicy Mayo and eel sauce mixed in. The sauces are okay, I've had better but the workers are very sweet and super friendly. The workers do not skip out on the portions which I loved. I had also gotten the spam musubi and my total came out to 19$ for 2 items which isn't so bad. Gave them four stars for the service. The girls were super friendly and nice. Recently moved to the area so wanted to check out some new places to get food. The sizes were decent, however, it was pretty steep for poke. They charge $2.95 for a scoop of crab meat and usually... poke places charge for avocado not crab meat... The first scoop of avocado of course is free. Ingredients were fresh. There weren't very many topping options. I usually get a regular/small and would be full half way through eating but I wasn't quite full even completing the regular size. If you're willing to pay $11.95 for a regular (3 scoops of protein) + $2.95 for crab meat. This is the place for you. read more

Anyway, you can get a Small for $9.75 w/ 3 protein choices. $10.75 for a Medium w/ 4 choices and large for $11.75 w/ 5 protein choices. Not bad on the prices at all. The best part is that they give you the first scoop of avocado free. Yes FREE! Most places charge anywhere from $1.25 to $2 for a scoop. I went back today and the fish didn't taste so fresh. I was a little disappointed the second time around. Maybe I just got a bad batch this time around.
