They have a few locations around Georgia, and while this is the only one I've been to, I have tried a good portion of their menu from ordering myself or through catering. From the outside, it didn't seem like much, but it was more spacious than expected. It has been busy enough that you may have to take it out, but you should try to eat it as soon as possible unless you've ordered grilled chicken (which taste fine) because you don't want things to get soggy. Service is fine, and the food comes out ~20 minutes. They're most known for their chicken, of course, but I have also tried their tofu tenders. For vegetarians, it's not a bad choice! They seem to use the same batter and sauce flavoring as the chicken, so it's crunchy and tastes good. I prefer either original or spicy, but bbq is also an option, and they let you pick how you would them sauced (like 2 spicy and 1 OG or 1 of each sauce). Original sauce does have a sweetness to it, but it's not like bbq. Spicy isn't really that spicy, and it does taste saltier than the other options. Their sandwich and tacos are similar with the slaw, but the tacos feel less heavy of an option if you don't want to feel the greasiness of the meal. Sometimes though, the flour tortilla cannot support the taco, and it gets very messy very quick, so tacos here aren't really something I'd pick. I usually stick to the plate, but the salads here are pretty good. None of the dressings were bad at least. For their sides, I really like their cucumbers, but the amount they give isn't really worth it to me. The fries are good, and their "foodie flakes" on them provides a nice salty flavor, so if you prefer a crispy chip, you can get that with foodie flakes over the fries. Or get the sweet potato fries. Rice is good if you want to feel fuller or don't want to use your hands to eat.

We were in the area and wanted to try a new place. We ordered the 5-piece panko chicken with two sides for $15. We got it naked with the sauce on the side and chose double fries. It took about 10-15 minutes to be ready. The fries were crispy and flavorful. The chicken was crunchy, but it didn't have much flavor without the sauce, and the piece sizes were inconsistent. We got the OG sauce on the side, and they also gave us some ranch. I ended up using the ranch because I didn't love the OG sauce, it reminded me of sushi sauce. The ranch was pretty good, though. It was nice to try a new place, but for the price it felt a bit overpriced in my opinion. We found parking on the street for $2 an hour (minimum time).

Ordered the 3 piece chicken plate and got the side of green beans (with extra charge). Food came out fairly quickly and was fresh, but everything was drowning in sauce, the rice was on top of puddle of really sweet sauce that made it practically inedible. The green beans were also covered in so much sauce that I tried to scrape off some sauce before eating each bean. Not sure if this is the norm - but definitely is an area for improvement! We used to like Ponko chicken but this was unfortunately a very disappointing experience.

Ponko Chicken is so good!! My company had a food truck and we all loved it so much. The food was served fresh with large portion sizes of sides. The sweet fries are so good and addicting! The chicken itself was tender and flavorful - I highly recommend the OG style. In fact, it's so good that I usually don't even need to eat it with sauce. It really does carry that much flavor.

Start off from saying first time here and I get any signature dishes. Service was decent, friendly staff. Atmosphere was a little loud because of the house music going on, but maybe that's the norm for this chain. The food wasn't too impressed I ordered the grilled teriyaki chicken with rice both of which had little flavor. However the carrot cake cup was really good and saved the day. Overall just ok for me but maybe just right for others.

Always a pleasure dining here for lunch. It's quick and easy to get in and out. I always leave satisfied. I enjoy their in-house lemonade which is behind the main counter, ask for it. Plus their ponko rice plate with 5 tenders always tastes good and fills me up over the last 5 years

An elegant and modern twist on Asian fusion, Ponko did not disappoint. This place was clean and customer service was friendly. Portion sizes were reasonable and the price was fair. This is a great place to go if you want chicken but are tired of eating the same old foods.

I've only ever ordered take out from Ponko but it has NEVER disappointed! Everything always tastes amazing and fresh and I can never get tired of their ponko sauce. I usually always get my order with a side of green beans and Cole slaw.

I love Ponko! I'm properly greeted everytime I enter the establishment. Very clean, good music. My favorite location used to be in Decatur, so sad they closed it down! I always get the spicy tacos with everything on it & they never miss! They also host events like game night with prizes, check them out

Y'all this place is ! Everyone is so so polite. Management is awesome. The food is perfection. I come here about twice a week and it never disappoints. I always get the salad with spicy tofu and it is the best salad I've ever had. The sandwich is also amazing. And the carrot cake is to die for. My boyfriend and I got a chance to try the chicken tenders at Taste of Atlanta, so we were excited when we saw a Ponko opened up in Midtown! We came for brunch on Sunday. We were greeted by who I think might have been a manager, he told us we could sit anywhere we like and we would be waited on. I was happy about this because I was a little surprised when we walked in and saw that it was a counter service restaurant. He was very friendly and explained the brunch menu to us. Between three of us we ordered the benedict, the brunch bowl, and a spicy hot dog. It took a while for the food to come out.. what I couldn't understand was why there were 6 people behind the register when there didn't seem to be anyone besides the manager waiting on tables. When the food finally did come out, it was very tasty. The hollandaise sauce on the benedict was nice and creamy, the tenders were crispy, the hot dog was amazing! I will say the poached eggs on the benedict were overcooked (not runny) and the brunch bowl was missing the pickles. We will definitely be back! read more

This place is the best!!! Both bartenders are my favorites and their names are easy to remember. If you tell Mark, you're sure to get a drink. Don't forget to ask about drink specials. One of the best meals I've had in a long time & the staff was so kind! We sat outside for brunch & split Eggs Benedict with chicken and potatoes and a side of waffles. We got so much food for the price & it was absolutely delicious! The manager also brought us a few pieces of chicken strips cooked in their special sweet sauce before our meal arrived! Ponko's also has a full sized bar, so we will definitely be back during the evening! Come to Ponko's for the best chicken in Atlanta! read more

This was a fast, efficient, and friendly place, especially after the non acknowledgement at Marlow's! I had the Ponko Tacos, though a little small, were very tasty. My friend had Ponko chicken strips and fries, which he really liked. The outdoor seating was comfortable with fans to keep insects away. The seating area was well lit and enjoyable. I hope in the future to try other items on the menu. read more

Love, Love, Love this place. I had never heard of such until they provided samples during Super Bowl Live! Whoaaa! I was online searching their location and was devastated when I learned they were only in Tucker. But then April came....and my life changed. These are just some goooddd chicken tenders. I stopped yesterday and grabbed dinner on the way home. I have been several times and only once out of the several was my food not the best. Perhaps it was the cook that day because nothing had a taste. I almost didn't return but felt it was just a busy day. For $15 w/tip, it needs to always be on point. The only complaint I have is that it is a little pricey but other than that the food is DELISH!!! read more

My mom told me to try this place when we were waiting in the parking lot for raging burrito (also very yummy). I'd past on the offer then I told my husband to look it up as we waited. BOY! Am I glad we found this gem! It's very hard to find places for my husband to eat due to him being vegan but we struck gold when we found the spicy tofu tenders on the menu! They have the perfect crunch and the taste is spectacular! Now the extra spicy sauce is out of this world and I just found out they sell it! Please if you haven't give them a try! I highly recommend! Even if you aren't vegan get the spicy tofu tenders with extra spicy sauce on the side to dip in your taste buds will thank you. read more

Had for lunch today at store on West Peachtree. The worst meal I have had in years. Greasy chicken, fries were cold and stale, rice was ok but little flavor. Ended up sick after eating. Would never go again and would not recommend to anyone read more

I'm visiting from Texas and decided to try this place out. I have to say, this place is one of my new favorites. I wish we had one in Texas. I tried the matcha margarita and some of the local beers, which were all excellent. The Scofflaw Baesment IPA is one of the best IPAs I've had. Shoutout to Mark the head bartender for great service. He suggested that I try the chicken tenders and I was blown away with how good they were. I had half OG (original which tasted like chicken and waffles) and half spicy (my personal favorite). It tasted very fresh and the batter had the perfect amount of crunchiness. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Atlanta. I know if I lived in midtown I would be here all the time. I highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

Had high hopes for Ponko following a few recommendations from friends, but they were crushed as soon as I entered the building. Live music was good but the setup sucked: far too loud for the space and the microphones were constantly peaking, and the hand sanitizer station was empty. Not the end of the world; however, my food took almost 30 minutes to arrive at my table (20 minutes longer than others eating with me), and I ordered a basic chicken sandwich with no extras. The chicken was gross. I wasn't a fan of the sweet breading, but I can look past that as personal taste. The chicken was objectively bad; very brown, thin, and hard as a rock. I couldn't even finish half the sandwich, and I'm someone who feels guilty leaving food on the plate. I absolutely will not be returning nor will I recommend Ponko to my friends. It took all of my self control to not complain to the cashier upon leaving. Service in general was slow, bad, and the waiter never returned after bringing us our food to check up on us. read more

Me and my family went to Ponko Chicken in Midtown today and wow!!!! The food was amazing, like really, really amazing!!!! I ordered the chicken Tenders with the OG sauce and have never in my life tasted anything like it!!!! My husband had the "New" breaded wings and they were so good we ordered more to take back to the hotel, spicy! The girls working were so helpful in explaining the food, and guiding us to the perfect decision for lunch, amazing customer service, which is hard to find these days. Thanks for making our Saturday girls!!!!!! We will be back! read more

Went in and got chicken tenders to go with sweet fries. I asked for two sauces.The restaurant was not even half full. I walked back to my car in the parking garage, which is a considerable distance, only to see that they gave me no sauces. Who serves chicken tenders and fries with no sauce?!? When I went back to get them, the line was considerably longer and I went up to the front of the line. They never acknowledged me. I had to yell "excuse me" twice before they would look at me. The guy at register said he would help me,but didn't, then went back to taking other peoples orders. No one was apologetic for the situation. When I finally ate the food it was cold. read more

For the side, we got some fries which were just alright nothing crazy and the chicken fried rice. The chicken fried rice was good but don't think it worth getting again. I waited until I was done with the food to see if it was going to come late but it never did so I asked the cashier if I could just get a refund she said yes and never came back with the refund. I go back to the counter and ask hey were you going to bring me the refund and she was like yeah the manager says you can pick it up tomm. That's a big no I paid cash and want my cash now I'm not driving back for a salad refund lol. So the manager comes and is finding any reason to not give up that 4$ lol asking me was online order, was dine in was it carry out. Sir I just sat here and ate my food your staff is up here laughing and joking the whole time so I'm not surprised they forgot part of my order. Food was decent service was terrible. The Best Cajun Asian is right on the corner and is easy to find. As I was already parked, it was easy to stop by and get something to eat. Walking in, the location was super clean, and one of the employees was still cleaning in real-time. As I walked up to the counter, I noticed the lunch special, which was rice or noodles with the option of 2 proteins. Looking at the food line, nothing actually jumped out to me. However, I was hungry and already inside, so let's get to the order. LoL! I decided on the Steamed Rice base with General Tso Chicken and Spicy Chicken as my 2 options. As you will see from the pictures, the food looked simple and fit for a lunch meal. The funny thing is once I got to the register, the lunch special was only a few cents less than the regular pricing. Once I was able to eat, the flavor profile of each meat was just as simple as the pictures. They reminded me of the food I get from the frozen foods section at the grocery store. Nothing stood out as it pertains to the flavors. As this was a lunch meal, I would rate it a 6/10, however, had I would have gotten this for dinner, I would have cried. LoL! Don't Judge me!! Overall, The Best Cajun Asian is an option if you are in the mood for a basic meal. If you are looking for something GOOD or to satisfy an authentic flavor fix, this isn't the place. You go here when you want something to hold you over and want to get it quickly.

The service was very quick and efficient: we were addressed and seated promptly and our server stopped by regularly to check on us for ordering and any additional needs. The restaurant is quaint, but had mixed seating for various party sizes and they have outdoor seating which would be great for a nice day outside! Now on to the food! It was just the two of us, so we didn't order a feast, but we got some typical items you'd get dining at a Chinese restaurant. First, we got the egg rolls (8/10) -- they were very crispy with a flavorful pork combination inside and the duck sauce was the perfect complementary touch. Next were the original fried wings (8) -- they were not breaded, which was different from the traditional breaded wing i'm used to experiencing at Chinese restaurants but i actually think i prefer the non-breaded version. Although cooked differently, it still had the customary Chinese restaurant wing flavor with a nice crunchy exterior. The wings can also be lemon, garlic, and cajun. I would be curious about how the other flavors would be with the non-breaded preparation. Next, the fried rice (7) -- very standard fried rice, got it with chicken (can also be ordered with pork, beef, shrimp, vegetable, or a combination). The texture of the rice was great, seasonings weren't strong, almost like something was missing, possibly an additional textural component, but still a solid order of fried rice. I'd try the veggie option next time to see if the added veggies kick it up a notch. Now the show stopper was the dry fried string beans (9.5/10), I've been to China and eating these really took me back!! The combination of their aromatics and spices was perfection and texturally, the string beans were cooked well and retained a nice crunchy exterior. Initially, we paired the string beans with the fried rice but when we paired it with the white rice... mind blowing! Must get these AND must pair it with white rice. Wow! The food, however, was just as I remembered--great tasting. Soup dumplings are always a must. The duck buns were the star of the show this time; I need those again!
