You will find this just north of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve on 32nd Street. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate most crowds. Ordering ahead will speed up the process (you will need the app). The flavor of the coffee here is superb and it is smooth. I ordered an oatmilk latte and I was very pleased. They roast their own beans at the back of the store and you can watch them do it. There are a lot of seats here, especially inside. It would be a great place to get some work done. The barista was conscientious when making my latte and the design on the top of the milk were excellent. This is definitely a place to stop after a trip to the preserve. read more

I come to a coffee shop like this because they take their time on drinks, and I love pour overs with a good coffee. I got a pour over here and it was really weak. Basically couldn't taste the coffee at all. They told me they make it more like tea and that I could ask for it to be stronger. So I come in again today. Ask them to add less water, and they said they're not allowed to change the ratio. I'm sorry, but they should look up some best practices for making coffee because it's not tea. It should not be watered down unless you're trying to save on beans, but why would you? The pour over policy here sucks. read more

Stopped by this Press location for the first time, and had a drip coffee to see what they're all about. They have milk alternatives and that is a plus and some of their food items are dairy-free/vegan so that is another plus. I am not sure if any of the pastries are dairy-free or vegan. The coffee is good, it wasn't spectacular but good. I sat upstairs and a Coffee 101 presentation just happened to start. I couldn't help but over hear some bits of what was said by the male presentator while explaining the difference between the coffee at Press he took jabs at Starbucks for over roasting, I felt like the person could have said other "companies or our competitors". While we were on our way out the door another male counter person said the same thing about Starbucks and their over roasting, and it just seemed odd to me that this must be a norm at Pressed coffee to be "pressed about how Starbucks roasts their beans". Oh my goodness- I was NOT experts breakfast sandwich this good! It's a breakfast sandwich.... You can always play it safe because it's typically always the same, but the way they press the English muffin!? Wow SOOO GOOD. Speaking of Press, haha the coffee it's self is strong and has a great strong, dark flavor. The Honey Cinnamon Shaker is probably what I will try to create a at my go to coffee places from here on out (minus vanilla) The establishment is very big and so clean, modern/ industrial vibe and very clean. There are already many comments on the pricing. So not going to go into that part. Yes, they are pricier than typical coffee places, but walking into a local artisan coffee roaster a higher pricing than your typical Starbucks should be expected. So I don't think that necessarily a negative. The vibe of the place is chill like a typical coffee shop, restroom is clean, and plenty of space to sit and relax to enjoy your coffee. The coffee itself is definitely really good. If you're a black coffee drinker like me that actually want the pure coffee taste, I think you'll be very satisfied. I took off one star due to the conflicting information I'm getting after couple of visits. I'm trying to buy beans they have on drip. First visit I was told to come back next week and they'll have it, and that if they don't they can bag it out of the big bags for me and sell it to me. Then next week now I come and they have the same beans on drip. I asked if they can sell it to me now they said no. I referred to the person that helped me last time, which was not working this time, that she said they can just bag one to sell. Was told that is incorrect. I just left without getting no refund because I was so frustrated and I only have a ten minute break and it was well over 15 minute timed break I emailed to get refund and I have not gotten a response and it's been 4 days. Peanut butter shaker with almond milk was very good. My friend had the nitro cold brew with chocolate and peanut butter. The roasting area is open, so you can check out the process as you sip your own cup of joe. The coffee was exceptional, which is hard for me to find because I'm a total brat when it comes to coffee. I've been coming to this location consistently since it opened. I have spent so much time studying here over the years. It's one of the few places that you can get a lot of work done over several hours and not feel like you were being a burden. On any given day, you will see plenty people, especially in the upstairs area, working and studying. Such a better environment than going to a Starbucks. I typically go to the Scottsdale Quarter location most days now, but the coffee here is basically the same. It's consistent. They carry a bunch of stuff from Noble, which seems to be a trend with many local coffee shops/ chains. I typically get a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. For years, I've had to ask for to basically be burnt so it's cooked all the way through. Overall, this place is solid. What really stands out is the great setup. It's a great place to get work done. There's a solid patio as well. The bike rack is an excellent touch. read more

Good: friendly and nice Bad: For some reason every single person makes drinks a different way. I ask for specific requests for my drink and they never read the paper. I pay extra and have watched them completely leave off the items I'm paying for. Because it's an open concept, you can see them make the drinks as your waiting. Love this location. Very cool with the coffee roasters in the back. I got the caramel latte with almond milk. The portion size was extremely small and they charge you $0.75 for caramel and $1 for almond milk??? That's steep. If you get the drip it's a way better deal, half the price and you can get refills. I still like the place but if you're not a good ol plain coffee drinker it might hurt your wallet to get anything but the drip. For reference the small is 8 oz. The thing about mochas though, is that I still want to taste espresso in it and many places make it more like a hot chocolate. Not press! It was so good, I got the 8oz and it was the perfect little treat. Subtle chocolate flavor and smooth but flavorful. I also tried the original breakfast burrito. I honestly didn't expect much, I was just hungry and it sounded like it would do the trick, but it was actually pretty flavorful. Especially since this is a coffee place and not a full blown restaurant, they still have a small selection of food that sound pretty solid if you need a bite. Service was quick and friendly. The interior is super new and modern. Lots of places to sit, including outside and upstairs. Steady crowd on a Sunday morning but not so crowded that it's uncomfortable. Huge place! I was a bit unsure about the vibe since it's got a kind of franchisey feel to it and it's so big, but it ended up being kinda the perfect place to work for a couple hours. Service was SO kind and fast. Great coffee, piping hot, along with tasty avocado toast. I had the half order so just one slice of bread and an 8oz Americano. They've got cream/sugar and lids at a serving station on the side. seating downstairs, upstairs and outside. You'll be able to find a place to sit. Also plenty of outlets to charge devices, at least where I was upstairs. It can get a little loud with so many people and it also is warm upstairs. I really tried to like this place. The coffee is decent, the food is average at best. The service is trash. If the app tells you 10 minutes, expect to wait 30. I live in the neighborhood and would have loved to come here on my way to work, but it's impossible. Say what you want about Starbucks, at these they're consistent, on time, and you know what you're going to get. Today was my final attempt with this place. I've gotten their breakfast burrito several times in the past, it's pretty good, especially with the salsa they serve with it. I love Press Coffee and when I found out about this location, I was super excited and a tiny bummed. My husband and I used to live around the corner, so I wish they had opened up sooner! We arrived on a Thursday at 9am. The parking lot was packed! The line to order was almost out the door. I ordered my regular drink at Press - a hot quad-shot 16oz latte. The food looked pretty good, so I also ordered a blueberry muffin. My SIL ordered an iced caramel latte and a slice of banana nut bread. She got the heel of the banana nut bread and said she was excited but it was really dry and she didn't finish it. My muffin was good, but also a little on the dry side. The drinks were good. Definitely five-stars for the drinks but I have to knock off a star for the dry pastries. However, I love the space. I would love to come back when I have more time to enjoy the ambiance. First time at press coffee. I got a iced latte with half sugar(half pump) of caramel and vanilla. It was okay but wanted a little sweeter and asked for a pump more of vanilla. Idly they put 1 pump I believe. So I think I had 1 1/2 pumps of vanilla and u can definitely taste the vanilla. Next time I would just get it as it comes or try a mocha. Heard that's popular. I think this is the most luxurious place on the block. Parking not as much but fair. The doors are huge like windows, which is cool. I also got the turkey wrap. It was good and a bit spicy because of the sirracha. My friend got the peanut butter shake. It had a weird taste like a protein flavor. She asked for mocha and they added it to her drink and it tasted better. It's not really a shake cause it's not blended. There's also a bar here. There's also an upstairs. Place is definitely a vibe. It's all industrial and modern, with a ton of space to sit. I got a small latte, and it was over $5, and when I got the cup, I did a double take. It was the size of my palm! They are really overpriced here. It was a good, smooth latte, but a bit too bitter for my taste. It has a weird aftertaste that I wasn't a fan of, which tasted like leftover coffee grounds. Maybe I just got unlucky with what they made me. But I still enjoyed it. Overall, the taste was a 3/5. First coffee place I've seen selling 'cortado' coffee; that alone earns Press Coffee five stars! In short, the coffee was great. Standard americano for me, just so I could taste the beans that had been roasted a short while before. Two roasts were available, and I went for the slightly more fruity Costa Rica. To me, this is what stand-out coffee shops are all about. For me though, the coffee is only 50% of the package. The service, seating and atmosphere makes up the rest of the deal. Service is excellent and the interior layout and design is interesting and pretty fern unique. I like the fact the coffee roasting equipment is right there. The old coffee shops back home reeked of burnt coffee which poked its way out onto the Hight Street, but there's none of that here. Just fresh brews to tickle your fancy for next time. The only drawback for me was the clientele on this Labor Day Monday. The parking lot was pretty busy, and that was because of the large student population inside hitting the books / noses in laptops. I don't begrudge them, but one student with a bag and laptop taking up whole tables is irksome. More so when I see them on Instagram or playing candy crush. It's a little selfish, and disrespectful when there's so few places left to sit. Kind of dowses the atmosphere too. Lolz. Anyways. Maybe I'm the outsider and this is totally normal for Press. Loved the atmosphere of this coffee shop! There was a lot of natural light coming in through their huge windows, and they have a good amount of outdoor as well as indoor seating. They also have wifi, which was reliable during the time that I was there. The iced vanilla latte I got was pretty average, which was the only disappointing part.
