I visited for the first time ever on 5-8-2026. This spot is deep in East Point. The reputation precede this place iykyk. Established in 1972. The first seafood restaurant in Atlanta GA. The food is cooked to order. Fresh hot and delicious. This fish sandwich is a sandwich and a half! Best fish sandwich I ever had! I got the fish supreme combo comes with fries and a can soda. Pull up and check them out definitely worth the trip not a disappointment. Great people with the customer service and environment.

If you don't mind traveling through the trenches to get food then here ya go! I ordered online that seems to be a problem but after a 45 minute wait I finally got food! It was pretty good but there are places with a little faster service. I will not give them a bad review but I can't give them five stars either. We will try them again because the food was decent!

If you're truly from Atlanta -- especially the Westside -- Rahim's Seafood needs no introduction. This place has been feeding the city since 1972, starting on MLK for 30 years and now holding it down on Campbellton Road for the last 18 years. That kind of longevity doesn't happen by accident. Rahim's was the first Black-owned seafood restaurant in Atlanta to serve fresh fish, and you can tell the legacy is still alive and well. The founder may be gone, but his daughter now runs the restaurant, and the quality, flavor, and heart are still there. Let's talk food. The Rahim wings with the special sauce are a MUST -- battered, crispy, and full of flavor. These are real old-school wings, not trendy, just done right. The whiting sandwich is huge and perfectly fried. The fried okra is crispy with zero slime. And the fried fish and shrimp platter? Fresh, hot, seasoned well, and the portion is generous. The real star for me was the homemade tartar sauce -- creamy, tangy, and perfect on both the shrimp and fish. You can tell it's made in-house and not poured out of a bottle. Rahim's isn't flashy or trying to be something it's not. It's consistent, historic, and rooted in the community. This is the kind of place generations grew up on -- and that matters. If you're visiting Atlanta and want real food with real history, or if you're local and somehow haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. Rahim's Seafood is a Westside staple and a true piece of Atlanta history.

Great spot. It's a typical hole in the wall--not much to look at from the outside but bursting with flavor and amazing food. It wasn't very crowded. I dropped in for a late lunch. The owners/attendants are very kind and make sure you understand the menu and get exactly what you ordered. They have a pretty extensive menu of various combinations of fish, shrimp, and the like. Parking is limited. They also have an assort of desserts that I didn't get a chance to try but that fish is amazing. The wait is about 15 minutes. There is a decent amount of indoor seating. The fish comes come with this delectable coleslaw, fries, and delicious shrimp. They do good fried seafood right. The hushpuppies are interesting. They are like a sweet, fried cookie. They are not like any hushpuppies I've ever had. Take that for whatever you think it means. But I love the fish and the shrimp and that terrific coleslaw. They have wings to but I don't see the point with all of that amazing seafood. The owner is very sweet and makes sure you get exactly what you ordered and what you need. Great spot! Get the floudner and the whiting!

The food was enjoyable and flavorful. The whiting was cooked to perfection and the shrimp. In my opinion it's a little over priced.

The food was great. The service was little to be desired. They would have more business if the staff was a bit friendlier !

First time visiting Atlanta and had to stop by and try out this highly rated establishment and so happy I made it part of my list. We arrived towards the end of the night with enough time before closing but obviously not realizing there are a few dishes that sell out so keep that in mind. Nevertheless service was stand out once we walked in and were kindly greeted by the host. We then sat down at our table and were then greeted with our server Tiffany. Let me just say we need a Tiffany everywhere, this girl really went above and beyond and truly welcomed us and genuinely was just a pleasure to interact with through out the whole visit. She really wanted to give us the best experience and recommendations for our first visit and let me just say everything was amazing and the service was top tier, such a great place with a great atmosphere, service and amazing food. What more can you ask for. She would def be the reason we visit Atlanta again and go back to eat here.

I also feel like the prices were appropriate for the portion sizes. That was the only positive thing about our visit. Service was EXTREMELY slow, it took 20 minutes for waters. An even longer wait for food followed by another few minutes for hot sauce and lemon slices. For a restaurant with a 2 hour table/validated parking limit I'd expect faster service. Questions about cross contamination with allergens were met with a blank stare and shoulder shrug. The DJ was great but the music was way too loud and made it hard to hear each other. 20% auto grat is included for all checks over $100 according to the menu, but it should say all parties or something similar as it's determined by what the table spends. This was even more annoying considering the lackluster service we received. He did remove the automatic gratuity from my check, but it was only $10 due to a special so I'm sure that was only accommodated since the tip was $2.

Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Reviews I'd seen online mentioned parking is a bit limited and that the restaurant is frequently busy. So we were prepared for that even though we were going on a Thursday mid morning. I think there was an influx of people celebrating graduations because it was in fact very busy. However we got very lucky with parking and happened to come in right as someone was leaving. I was sure we would have a wait for a table, which of course would have been fine, but actually we were seated immediately! Which was super nice and unexpected. The atmosphere is bustling but not in a bad way. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a lot of character. It feels like you're having breakfast at an old friend's house. The service was great and our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I ordered a specialty coffee, I believe it was the almond joy cold brew, and it was delicious. Strong, which is how I like it and not overly sweet. I ordered the chicken biscuit on the waiter's recommendation and it was absolutely the best fried chicken I've ever had. Juicy and crispy. My husband ordered the pimento cheese omelette and was very happy with it, the bacon was thick cut and smoky and flavorful. The pimento cheese grits that came on the side for me were also a stand out, such great flavor. The biscuits are fantastic and the blueberry basil jam that came with my husband's meal was such a nice touch. We will absolutely make a point to come back to Buttermilk Kitchen next time we visit the Atlanta area.

First things first: the Chicken Biscuit. Buttermilk Kitchen's biscuit is on the crunchy, honey-flavored side. I personally prefer fluffier, more buttery biscuits, so this one wasn't my favorite. That aside, the chicken was crispy and well-seasoned and paired well with the cheese grits. If you ever wanted a dry, crunchy version of Homegrown's Comfy Chicken Biscuit, come give this a shot. I also tried the Hash Bowl, which was a bit underwhelming. It was a *lot* of potatoes compared to the eggs and bacon bits, and there wasn't a lot of seasoning other than the bacon. Would rather recommend one of the other options if you end up visiting. The drinks are good as well, would recommend the matcha latte (not too sweet!) and the French Press coffee.

WAS THIS A HIT OR MISS ???…read more It was a HIT I have been dying to try this place out for years and I figured I planned a lunch with a friend so we could spend the afternoon chitchatting and this was the perfect spot. So we were warmly greeted and then taken to a quiet table in the corner that had the whitest tablecloths. It looked rather chic Then we had the best server. She checked on us numerous times, didn't rush us and offered suggestions. She kept our table clear of mayhem from empty plates and glasses. Now the food was delicious. It was so good. The chicken was moist and the outside was crispy. The mashed potatoes melted in my mouth. Plus, we had a slice of 7up cake for dessert. I high recommend this place. They have valet parking that is only $2. Great place to visit. Until next time.

Location Carries, Great for Clients, Not for Value…read more Location, location, location. That's the story here. This spot earns its 4 stars largely because of the setting and service. Right in the heart of Buckhead with a beautiful view great energy, well-dressed crowd, and a strong place for a work lunch or client meeting. Service was solid, no complaints there. I'll keep it simple the food was good, don't get me wrong. But for the price, it just didn't match up. This is one of those places that works if you're trying to impress clients or enjoy the atmosphere. Strip away the location, and the food-to-price ratio probably lands much lower. Just my take. Overall: 4/5 great setting, just comes at a premium.
