First of all, putting your name on the list online doesn't get you very far in line because they won't count you there until you check in at the restaurant. We were told 10 min when we put our name on the list online when we were parking the car. We went inside and checked in and they said it would be 8 min. After waiting OVER 30 MINUTES, we were finally seated, at a table right next to the hostess stand. So first off, we had to endure the guy at the hostess stand shouting over us to the workers which table was to be seated next. He had an earpiece with a wire, so we assumed he should have been communicating with that instead of yelling. It was quite disruptive and quite unprofessional. Second, sitting right close to where people are waiting to be seated was a little uncomfortable, as they watched us eat. Wessen was our server. OUTSTANDING is the best way to describe him. He anticipated our every need, including drink refills and extra sauce for my coconut shrimp. He was very attentive and personable. The food was excellent, from the garlic cheddar biscuits to the lobster bisque to the coconut shrimp. The only exception was my husband's clam chowder. It was thin and bland. The best deal we found was the 4 course meal, served Sunday-Thursday, $16.99. It includes soup, salad, biscuits, main course and dessert. What a lovely experience I had tonight with my husband. Colleen was our server tonight and she was great, full of energy and ready to help. My husband and I always come to this Red Lobster and majority of the time, we get excellent food/service except tonight. We got here kind of late(905pm)and we were aware of what might happen if we come to a restaurant close to the closing time. We got seated right away and our waitress came to the table fairly quick to take our drink/food order(we always order the same things). Well, my meal(salmon New Orleans full order with broccoli and fries)looked different today. I only saw 3 pieces of shrimp. I think maybe, the chef who usually cooks was off tonight and whoever cooked it did a rush job, because it was close to the closing time. I was kind of disappointed with our server as well, because she didn't offer us any biscuits or drinks to go(like I said, it was close to the closing time and we felt rushed). I ordered Atlantic salmon and my wife ordered grilled catfish. When I took my first bite, I said, "Too salty!" My wife said mine too. After a couple more bites, she said, "I can't eat this, taste it." It was so salty I could barely swallow it. She hunted down an employee and asked for a manager, who eventually came to the table. When my wife said her food was too salty to eat, the manager asked whether it was flounder. After my wife explained that it was catfish, the manager said that well it's because you ordered it grilled and we never cook it that way. My wife said you offered it grilled, so I don't see why that would be a reason for it to be too salty to eat. The manager sighed and asked whether my wife wanted her to remake it. Red Lobster is a staple growing up. I think it's a rite of passage to eat the cheddar biscuits while you wait for your platter of crab and lobster. I introduced my kiddos to red lobster and an unfortunate situation occurred. We ate and ate and ate and ate until we literally could not eat anymore. The ride home was unpleasant. The food here is decent. I'm sure you guys all know how Red lobster tastes at this point. My issue at this location is the host/hostess. How are you guys getting trained to seat your customers? For example, they first us to the table all the way furthest in the back, directly next to the restrooms. Given that this was a Tuesday night the restaurant was full of empty seats. I asked the hostess nicely if we could sit a little bit further away from the bathrooms and she proceeds to lead me back across the entire restaurant to sit at the table closest to the front entrance doors. So to summarize, they first led us to the absolute worst seat in the house and then proceeded to lead us to the second worst seat of the house. Thanks for the upgrade guys. Is it your protocol to seat customers in the worst seats first or is that treatment only reserved for "non-white" people? Very average food and also too salty for my liking. I remember when Red Lobster use to be my favorite but they've slowly downgraded over the years. However, their dragon shrimp is absolutely amazing! I think it's a new dish of theirs. It has a little Asian taste to it. I didn't order it, but someone next to me did and I tried it and wished I had ordered that! Service is great though, very friendly! A little expensive though. A dish usually costs $30 and for the quality, I'd say it's not worth more than $20-25. I also use to love their biscuits but they weren't crispy. They were a little soggy but warm. Their mushroom appetizers are AMAZING. Highly recommend getting those! Service from Katie was good. I ordered a Fried shrimp dinner, with steamed broccoli on the side. I added a steamed lobster tail to the meal. The good and the bad: The Chedder Bay biscuits were great as usual. The lobster tail was perfectly done. Will do a grilled one next time I eat lobster. The shrimp weren't worth getting. The breading was too thick, and they didn't seem fresh. I know they had to have been frozen. At these prices, they need to be freshly breaded. I have eaten at several Red Lobsters, from Connecticut to Texas. Now, my favorite location is actually in New York. I have been to this location a few times, but I don't plan to visit again anytime soon. My server, Tressie, deserves 5 stars. She was so friendly, professional, and attentive. I appreciated her excellent customer service. The food was delicious. My mom and I shared the lobster artichoke dip, and we scraped that dish clean with the chips. I ate the fish (grilled tilapia) tacos, and my mom had the shrimp tacos. Very delicious and filling, but we couldn't finish them. They were even better the 2nd day as leftovers. The coleslaw wasn't bad either. I'm not a fan of wild rice, so that wasn't too appetizing to me. Now, one of the problems I had was the odor when we walked in, (smelled like an old basement ). Also, we brought our own water with us, I hate the tap water in TX. We asked for glasses. The glasses didn't look clean. So, we drank from the bottles with straws. I think they need new dishwashers. It would be nice if they updated the interior, or just give the place a thorough cleaning. Always been a childhood favorite!! Came here for lunch one day. You have to try their cheddar biscuits. OMG they are so freaking good. Make sure you eat them when they are hot and fresh from the oven. The biscuit melts in your mouth bursting with flavor. I ordered the lunch portion of the blackened tilipia with double broccoli. Two words: CHEDDAR BISCUITS This has always been a favorite of the family's since childhood. They have daily lunch specials and they always serve PIPING HOT CHEDDAR BISCUITS! Their chicken is amazing, and I love their garlic shrimp, I'm sure it being drowned in garlic butter has something to do with it. My husband and I visited this location in hopes of sampling some of the Lobster Fest promotional items. We arrived at about 4pm and the restaurant was noticeably slow (only about 3 tables occupied). The host who'd sat us took our drink order and though there was a short wait for our server, she went above and beyond for the time that she was with us. Paula somehow transformed a dim Red Lobster into an experience that felt like you were being lovingly fussed over at grandma's house. She was a gem. The portion of the appetizers we chose turned out to be quite generous so we didn't end up ordering a whole lot. My husband praised the freshness of the ingredients and garnish used for the lobster flatbread while I preferred the savoriness of the lobster dip. I will say that both dishes left more to be desired in terms of seasoning but they were well prepared and piping hot, with the dip being the more bland of the two. A touch of salt would to a long way. Overall a pleasant late lunch thanks to Paula. She hustled to ensure that our hungry toddler's entree would come out first and that our drinks never got below half full for the entirety of service. We will likely return! read more

It was almost 3 when I arrived, not too busy either. There appeared to be plenty of servers. I'm trying not to think I was being ignored as a single diner because so many times that I've been here, it has never been a problem. However, after taking my drink order (UNsweet tea), the waiter kept coming back after waiting on other tables saying he would be back right away with my tea. Well, that didn't happen. So when he finally took my order, I got sweet tea with my salad and biscuits. Took a while but I asked again for UNsweet tea. Finally got it too and downed half the glass as I was really thirsty by then. Nope still not over yet. The sea scallops and grilled flounder finally came out and I asked for tartare sauce. The scallops and rice were flavored wonderfully. Even the baked potato was really good. But that grilled flounder looked like it had been boiled but not long enough and was really bland. I've never seen a grilled anything look like it never hit the grill. And really bland. Bland. I nibbled at it and kept asking for tartare sauce. I finally gave up and left it. Taking it home and grilling it again wouldn't have worked because I could never get any tartare sauce! It was interesting to watch the waiter interact with tables with more than 1 person. The table next to me came in after me and was ready to leave before me meanwhile, instead of twiddling my thumbs, I read the London Daily Mail to keep calm. Murder, mayhem and scandal - true. If it weren't for their Lobster pizza, I'd say this was the last time I go to this Red Lobster. It only takes 1 bad experience to wipe out all those times the waiters and food were great. Their surf & turf plate was somewhat of a disappointment when it came to the steak. We said medium rare, but it turned out medium well---tough and chewy. Lobster was good.
