I ordered Shrimp In Lobster sauce and it was absolutely disgusting and distasteful. There was a total of 7 pieces of shrimp but the plate was packed with gumbo mushrooms and hard carrots and potatoes to hide that. What an absolute disgrace. It was obvious that everything was frozen and not fresh, nothing about it tasted fresh at all. Almost $20 for a plate of slob and snot. Rice bowl is the last place in town that I will ever recommend. My compliments to Briana or whomever I spoke with on the phone. I accidentally ordered pick up on Doordash and she cancelled it for me so I can order again for delivery. I absolutely commend the honesty, quick action to remedy it for me and pleasant voice and she even said have a nice day. I felt someone from the past picked up lol, when times were kinder. Immediately after my family completed our meal, I experienced severe abdominal cramping with explosive diarrhea. My wife had same symptoms within an hour afterwards. It appeared that another reviewer had similar experience within 2 months. I would recommend the restaurant evaluate their sanitation including handwashing, food handling and food freshness before it becomes a public health issue. read more

Used to be absolutely amazing when the family owned it prior to the current owners/management. Simon was the head sushi chef and absolutely killed it. He was amazing. After the sale and Simone parted ways everything has gone down hill. From the staff. To the food. Went from 5 star to half a star. I ate here so much you could order the MR. Incredible special roll. And you would get a custom made monstrosity from Simone that was infused with a little bit of lemon and a little sweet with hand carved vegetables as garnishes and it was an experience. We have been to Rice Bowl. Several times since new ownership has taken over. The first time we all felt really bad. And everyone had cramps within the two hours of leaving cramps after two hours after eating. I went and told the ownership several days later, but all of my staff were sick for meeting there. I thought they listened. Recently, we went again after a few months to try it last night. The orange chicken was horrible. Tasted like old oil was used in the deep frying process. The Mongolian beef didn't taste bad, but the pieces which we got were hard to eat. Because the pieces were so big. The Wontons were good. The fried rice was somewhat OK. A little bit al dente. However, we don't think we will be visiting them anytime soon. We miss the old rice bowl. read more

Ordered a California roll, wor wanton and a huge plate of fried rice for thirty bucks. Filled me and my two kids up with enough to take home for tomorrow. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. As a family this is one of our favorite places to go as a treat or occasion. Service is always inviting and the decor along with the koi pond makes it a nice experience to dine in. We love mu shu pork, lemon chicken, and orange chicken. Service is fast, restaurant decore is comfortable. Big tables are available for large groups. We ordered the hot crispy fried chicken tonight. It was just fried chicken skin. Very chewy, but flavor was good. We asked the waitress about it, and she said it was meat, but we couldn't find any pieces of chicken meat. Highly recommend. Been going here for a few years and it's the best I've found. I got $20 of food and they really gave me that, the portions were huge. The veggies tasted fresh with a good snap, the staff is always friendly and go above and beyond. In this economy I think it's worth spending your money here for sure. read more
