    The giant and delicious cheeseburger!
    Dennis V.

This place is a great find. The food, service, and ambiance are spot on! The indoor seating is like reliving that warm & cozy throw-back cafe. They even have a fantastic assortment of signed headshots of old-timer celebrities who have visited. The outdoor seating is very comfortable and pleasant. The Cheeseburger and Fries were one of the best & biggest, ever. The cup of clam chowder was also excellent. We actually came back the next morning and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The pancake and sausage were so good. I had the huevos rancheros and was very pleased with the delicious flavor, mild heat, and generous portion. I would highly recommend this place for lunch or breakfast.

It was such a beautiful Sunday that we had to go to RJ's Cafe. We love going here. Parking was tight but luckily a car was leaving as we pulled in and we were able to take their space. Brunch crowd was lined up deep that we waited a good 20-30 minutes. We sat at one of the stone benches and waited for them to call our name. Glad the sun was out and a nice breeze coming from the ocean. Finally we were called and we got sat inside in one of the booths by the large windows. Our server was nice and friendly. We placed our order and waited about 10-ish minutes for our food to come. We ordered the onion rings special last minute and that came first. - Breakfast Burrito - Half Sandwich and half soup - Taco Omelette (New Item) - Side Onion Rings (Special) - Coffee - Root Beer Soda - Water Food is always delicious. Atmosphere is always great. Restaurant clean and inviting. Servers friendly, welcoming, and attentive.

One of the best breakfast options in South OC. This area has a lot of great dining options, this being one. It can get quite busy but the line moves fast. It's in a small shopping center so there is plenty of free parking attached right out front. Our waitress was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. The restaurant itself is pretty large, they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating options. For breakfast we started off with the Cinnamon Roll which is not as good as the main breakfast, I think they should use glaze instead and have it be a little lighter and less cakey, more gooey. For breakfast those I chose the Lobster Benedict and loved it. It had great flavors and I enjoyed every bite. I would highly recommend for breakfast to anyone.

Me and some friends went here for breakfast. We sat outside on the patio. The weather was perfect. The staff were extremely nice. The only reason they are getting four stars and not five is because nothing was seasoned. The omelette and the potatoes had no flavor. It was a very bland breakfast.

Stopped for a quick bite after walking the trail and wanted something to replenish carbs so I went for the cinnamon roll French toast and it was buttery and not too sweet which i appreciated. Lots of options and decently priced.

Plan to get there before 9 am on a Sunday bc it gets busy! We had the pleasure of having Monica as our server who was absolutely darling. She made the experience even sweeter. There's never an empty chair which makes the ambience feel warm and inviting. One of few places where ambience matches food quality. Only regret was not ordering more! Will definitely be back

Feta scramble with sweet potato fries and cinnamon roll french toast, sausage, bacon, eggs and a diet coke

I had been looking for a good breakfast spot close to San Juan Capistrano and RJ's was perfect! They have an extensive menu with plenty of options for everyone, including healthy options. We ordered the feta scramble with sweet potato fries, cinnamon roll french toast with sausage, bacon and eggs, fruit bowl and lobster benedict with home-fried potatoes. It was all excellent but my favorite was the lobster benedict. What I liked most about RJ's was their exceptional customer service. Our server, Monica, was the nicest server and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was so sweet, explained everything well and brought out our food right away. Besides that, I like that they have a dog-friendly outside patio. It was not very busy when we went around 2 p.m. on a Sunday. I will definitely be back to try more from their menu.

I wanted to get some breakfast and was looking for a place I haven't tried. I decided on RJ's. I decided on the biscuits and gravy after seeing someone at another table getting some. I had a side of bacon too. These biscuits were huge, the biggest I've seen. There were delicious. The bacon was the perfect side. I think the best part of eating here was the service from Monica L. She is amazing, so cheerful and friendly. You can tell she loves her job. There may be a wait at times, but it's worth it to get on the list.

Really glad we stopped in before leaving OC. Great way to cap a long weekend. Highly recommend. Pancakes were light and fluffy. Omelet was good. And got the biscuit with gravy. A little dry. But massive. Good flavor.

Located across from the Dana Point Harbor. They have outside patio and indoor seating. It can get busy so don't be stressed if you need to wait a bit - believe me the food is worth the wait. Can be a little pricey depending on what you order but I feel it was good for the portion size, quality and freshness of the food. Service was attentive. Relaxed breakfast and lunch. I enjoyed the egg white, feta and spinach scramble with added turkey sausage (10/10). A nice fresh avocado sliced on top and served with sides of toast and country style potatoes. My friend had the cinnamon roll (8/10) - delicious, warmed, soft but a little overly sweet. Better to share it. Good coffee with flavored creamers too.

This place is like a little slice of paradise, brimming with Ohana and Aloha, and I'm here for it! First off, the **macadamia nut pancakes** are a game changer. Moist, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, they practically dance on your taste buds! If you're not careful, you might just end up ordering a second stack--no judgment here! And don't even get me started on the **spam musubi**. It's like a warm hug from an old friend--authentic and oh-so-delicious! You can almost hear the waves crashing as you take your first bite. Now, let's talk about the **kalibi **. Cooked to perfection, it's the kind of dish that makes you want to shout "Aloha!" at the top of your lungs. Seriously, I think I might've shed a tear of joy with each forkful. To wash it all down, the **Hawaiian latte** is a must-try! It took me back to the islands I miss so much--smooth, rich, and just the right amount of tropical. I may or may not have been tempted to sip it while wearing a grass skirt. In a nutshell, Stacks Pancakes is a delightful culinary escape that'll leave you smiling from ear to ear. Being the foodie I am, of course I provided restaurant recommendations, so I advised our Queen that we should eat breakfast at the social media viral Breezy. I had Breezy on my Yelp Want To Go list and I'm glad my Pahtner greenlit my restaurant rec. Believe the hype folks, Breezy is a must eat spot because of their gastronomically delish grub, the cool and hip ambience, and spectacular customer service from the young Filipina. Order their adobo breakfast burrito, banana pancake, and the "Kali" latte. You're welcome!!! Breezy is located in San Capistrano, CA., approximately less than an hour drive from North County San Diego. The restaurant can be found within the Los Rios Historic District specifically on the corner of Camino Capistrano and Verdugo Street. It's one of the businesses within the Capistrano Plaza. If you want to be adventurous, take the Amtrak to the San Juan Capo stop and you can easily walk to the restaurant as well as other fun spots. We drove to Breezy and were able to park in a Public Parking lot behind the restaurant, which was only $4 for two hours. Breezy doesn't take reservations, so I recommend you do what we did and arrive when they open at 8am or close to to opening. It's a popular eatery and you'll have to wait if you visit during peak dining hours. There is a good amount of outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating with round wooden and square tables and rattan seats. There's also bartop seating where you can watch their baristas make their specialty coffees. The owners did an amazing job with a beautiful interior decor with a focal point mural of lady with a Hawaiian flower in her hair, a green backdrop with neon "Keep It Breezy" accent lighting, pink glassware and centerpieces, and decorative light fixtures to add to the ambience. The young Filipina provided quality customer service, was friendly, and had the welcoming Aloha spirit. Please keep in mind that Breezy is a popular Filipino and Hawaiian fusion restaurant as I've seen the restaurant reviewed by Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram foodies, which is how I was introduced to this spot. Be prepared to wait if you come after opening or during peak dining hours. I can assure you that if you do end up waiting for a table, it is well worth the wait to feast on some amazing food. The hype is most definitely real. For my breakfast meal, I ordered the Adobo Breakfast Burrito, one Banana Pancake, a hot "Kali" Latte to wash it down, and I got to taste the birthday girl's Ube French Toast. The adobo breakfast burrito comes with shredded pork adobo, scrambled eggs, garlic rice, cotija cheese, avocado, sour cream, salsa verde, and cilantro. The burrito is one of their popular items and from my first bite to my last, I wholeheartedly concur. Everything about that burrito was fresh from the tortilla to all of its components. The taste of the vinegar that I'm accustomed to from classic adobo is evident, this entree is packed with deliciousness, it's creamy, and it was so satisfying. You can order a single pancake instead of the stack, so I'm glad I got to experience their banana pancake, which is generously topped with butter, comes with fresh bananas, it's served with a side of whipped cream, and topped with macadamia nuts. The taste of banana is readily apparent, it's a large pancake, and combined with the syrup, I savored every morsel. Mimick my order and I know you won't be disappointed. I really enjoyed the taste of the Kali latte, which comes with coconut cream, condensed milk, macadamia milk, and topped with toasted coconut. My wife couldn't finish her ube french toast, so I got to eat her leftover and this also is a popular item, which from that first bite, I can understand why. Despite me eating after some time from when my wife got it, the french toast was still crunchy, the caramelized bananas, ube whipped cream, toasted coconut flakes, coconut crema, and mixed berries were all divine and yummy. I'm not an ube fan, but I am a fan of Breezy's ube french toast. Thanks and Praise God for allowing my Life Pahtner to celebrate another year on this world. Dining at Breezy's made for a great time of amazing food, memorable drinks, and stellar customer service to celebrate the Queen we love.

It's a shame that it's only open from 8am-2pm aka prime brunch hours lol. Parking can be difficult, but there's a parking structure nearby if you want to skip the hassle of finding a free parking spot. Anyways, the food was absolutely delicious and worth the trek out to the southern part of OC (coming from north OC). What we got: - Honey basil ribeye bowl - wow I dream of this sometimes. They balanced the sweet and savory flavor so well, and the little side "salad" with the tomatoes and pickled onions offered a nice tangy kick. Such a delicious bowl that has many of the flavor profiles I love. Don't get me started on the garlic rice! - Longanisa breakfast bowl - the longanisa was cooked well and had a good savory sweet flavor, but was a bit more on the fatty side. It had the same sides and garlic rice as the honey basil ribeye bowl, which I already raved about so nothing to add there. I'm so excited that they have a smaller spot at Rodeo 39 in Stanton called Lil Breezy! Much closer to home and definitely a place that we would like to try soon.

Tasted like bad flour gravy with little to no potatoes or clams. Don't order this. My Cesar salad came with chicken, anchovies, croutons, and like 4 cherry tomatoes. The cheese on the salad was hard like it had been sitting out and the chicken seemed like it was some cheap breast defrosted. They could have grilled the chicken, had fresh black pepper to make it a lot better. The French fries on my son's plate were honestly sad looking. Cold and soggy. Service was incredible. They kept checking on us to ensure our evening was perfect. This is a great spot for big groups!

UPDATE: After receiving a response from the GM, I took a look through some of the other negative…read morereviews and noticed a pattern: nearly every criticism seems to receive a lengthy explanation or rebuttal defending the policy or practice being questioned. And respectfully, I think that's part of the disconnect here. When customers repeatedly tell you that something about their experience feels unwelcoming, explaining why they're wrong to feel that way isn't necessarily the same thing as listening to the feedback. Of course children shouldn't be running through servers carrying heavy trays, climbing on bars or fences, or lighting leaves on fire. I don't think any reasonable parent would disagree with that. But none of those examples remotely describe what happened during our visit, nor were we suggesting children should have free rein of the restaurant. My concern was--and remains--the punitive three-strike system and the way it's being enforced for fairly ordinary kid behavior. There is an enormous amount of space between "children setting things on fire" and "a kid got out of their chair," and that nuance seems to be getting lost. We live in an incredibly family-heavy community filled with busy restaurants that somehow manage to maintain safe environments for their employees, children, and other guests without making parents feel like they're accumulating demerits throughout their meal. And that's really the feedback: a policy can be created with safety in mind and still be poorly executed. If multiple longtime customers are telling you that the experience of being on the receiving end feels punitive and unwelcoming, perhaps that's worth considering rather than simply explaining why the policy exists.
