So I love the concept of this place. And I love sushi. They still haven't quite nailed down the service aspect. And the place could stand to be cleaner and more well maintained. I ordered takeout once and got the cindy roll for my mom for Mother's Day, along with the Velcro pygmies roll and a few other things. Was very satisfied with my takeout experience and the food gets a 4.5 stars for me. Fish is fresh and the rolls I ordered were cool and different that what I've had. I was so impressed with the takeout experience that I had to bring my dad here. He's a big fan of classic rock and I knew he'd enjoy the inside experience. The food was still delicious- albeit took a bit to get to us with a not super busy restaurant. Our server was originally one girl who was not super personable and was only at our table once before someone else ended up taking care of us. She forgot my sake and a guy who I assume was either a manager or the owner came over and ended up giving me extra for my troubles. Which was sweet. But as a server making sure you hire good servers/ manage them properly is a huge deal for me. It was taking the servers 20-30 minutes to bus a table and they were not pre bussing. Which as a server and previous manager at a sushi restaurant I find unacceptable. My dad has a shellfish allergy but absolutely loves sushi, and I was a little disappointed it was hard to find him a special roll without shellfish. I love the food and the vibe of the place. It was a smart marketing move for canton to make it more Americanized and rock themed. The food is so good that I'll definitely keep coming back to see if the level of service improves. And if they fix their booths, ours and a few others were broken. I was disappointed in the servers, who seemed like they didn't care. Slightly disappointed on wait time for food but that's not a huge deal for me. I hope they figure it out, I'd love to see them succeed. read more

They are still working the bugs out but there are a few things that stood out. The decor seems too old school and feels like they are a franchise trying too hard to be cool. The music videos were great and more current than Journey and Stevie Nicks. If you are looking for traditional sushi this is not the place for you. There is nothing Asian about it. The flavors were good but I noticed they use tiny shrimp in the shrimp rolls that I got. Nothing really wrong with that but I'm not used to getting 1/4" shrimp unless I'm at a cheap Chinese restaurant. There was some kind of spice that was used in 3 of the cooked rolls that made them taste all the same. It tasted like the spice used in hamburger helper. If you don't like jalapeños you need to ask them not to put them on. They put them on three rolls and in my cucumber salad. If they are trying to get the Rusan's crowd they missed the mark. The menu is horrible. They named the rolls after rock and roll bands. Very hard to get through when I'm used to standards like caterpillar and spider roll. It's like their interpretation of American sushi. I wouldn't like to get a burger with fish sauce and seaweed although it may be tasty. I think sushi should taste Asian for the most part. I'll go back because I want this place to succeed. The manager or maybe he was the owner is very nice and asked how we heard about it. People that are scared of sushi my really like this place. My colleagues and I stopped in while traveling for work. We had a large group and a handful of us are very picky eaters... almost annoyingly so. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have been more pleased with the level of service we received. The food came out promptly. The sushi was fantastic. I never thought I would get sushi that fresh in Georgia!! I think we ordered nearly every roll on the menu. Each was fantastic. We will definitely return on our next trip to Canton. read more

My family went here for dinner last night. After reading the reviews, I wasn't excited to go, but my husband really wanted to try it out. Unfortunately the reviews are spot on. The service was great as were the music & videos. The decor & lights...not so much. As for the food, the egg roll app we ordered was very good. Although I love sushi, the roll selections didn't really appeal to me, so I opted for the side of fried rice & the filet. It was good, but there were literally only 4 tiny pieces of filet. I was expecting slightly more since the meat is an add-on instead of an included choice, but it is called a side so maybe that was my mistake. My husband tried a tuna app & 2 rolls. Honestly, he has had better sushi from the grocery store. It wasn't bad, just boring and everything had tempura flakes mixed in. Not sure if they are trying to get by with less fish or what, but I could even get past the bite of app & 1 piece of roll I tried. He ate it but was disappointed especially when we received the $72 bill for three of us. Overall, I think if you haven't had sushi or hibachi before & want to ease into something new, then this place may be the spot to try. If not, there are several other places not too far away which are much, much better so save yourself the trip. read more

Curb side pick up but they didn't come out when I calmed as directed on the email confirmation . No staff member had masks on- including the two making sushi in plain sight as well as who I believe to be the manager. I inquired and manager said they weren't required unless within 6ft of someone . And that "they all get tested anyhow" (me: "what, daily?".. no, monthly. Yeah no. three rolls took over an hour to be ready/ with only one table with guests inside. I didn't even want to eat the over priced ($60+) rolls due to sanitary reasons- it reeked of unfresh seafood anyway. BEWARE of this place. I have been here twice, food was ok service was slow each time. The second time there the restaurant was so cold I did not enjoy my meal. I looked around and everyone else was bundled up and freezing as well. I saw the thermostat on the wall it was set 63 degrees. This place is really cool!! The service was fantastic and the sushi delicious!! They have your "traditional" rolls and then they have their signature rolls. We were a little overwhelmed with all of the choices. Both my daughter and I sometimes have a hard time trying new things. So we played it safe with a Japanese bagel roll and took a risk with the Abbey Road roll. It was totally worth the risk!!! So I have only had delivery since we're all shelter in place. I was not impressed. Sushi was very salty tasting and that's without any sauces. I wasn't given any wasabi and asked for extra soy sauce, which didn't happen either. The edamame was cold and burned and the fried rice was nothing to write home about. I GET SICK EVERY SINGLE TIME I EAT HERE. On top of that I always have to wait for my To-Go order and recently only tipped $1 because of my lousy service + wait time yet again. Now I go to see on my statement that I have been overcharged and looks like the server added himself a $10 instead of my original $1 tip, criminals. Safe to say I won't be back. I've eaten here 5 times with my wife and son. Neither of them like sushi, but they love the back-stage hibachi (in other words, not cooked in front of you) and the little chicken nugget kids meal, respectively. I, however, LOVE sushi, and this place doesn't disappoint. Huge menu full of options. The atmosphere is amazing too, especially for rock music fans like us. I can't even say enough great things about this place. My husband has been super cheap on sushi from California to New York to Hawaii and back to home here in Canton. This place opened and we tried it out and almost choked on the prices until we had our first roll...... $75 after tip and we are both happy campers. Every roll is amazing and fresh. I was really excited to try this place. I've been wanting to. However, regarding the food, they use WAY to much sauce in their rolls. And it overpowered everything I ate. It was way to sweet. Go with a lighter hand next time, people will request it on the side if they want that much. Service was also okay; I ran out of water a few times. And after it all ended, there were NO paper towels to dry your ha da in the ladies room. The food, the service, the restrooms, it was just a big no for me. We went during covid-19 so take this review with a grain of salt. We placed our order over the phone- 2 rolls and 2 orders of fried rice, and were told after it was a 45 minute wait. 90 minutes later our food stull was not ready. The staff was super nice and apologetic about it. When we got home 5 minutes later we found that our food was cold. The fried rice was subpar, seemed more like white rice with a scattering of toppings- at 5$ per order it was also a small amount. So that was disappointing. The sushi was also subpar, tasted like gas station sushi. The spicy mayo was overpowering in this case and there was far too much rice in proportion to the rest of the rolls. Executive summary The price was far too high for the quality of the food. The wait was extraordinarily long and the fact that they misrepresented the wait was obnoxious. Nice staff, however waiting so long for cold food was a put off. Would not eat here again personally. read more

When I saw that this was being built I was so excited! I finally was able to check it out today and I was not disappointed! I got the shrimp tempura roll and side of veggie rice. Everything tasted great! I was a little disappointed in the yum yum sauce. It was such a little amount, that's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars. But wow the atmosphere was so much fun! Not impressed at all! The avocado in the "Sweet Home Alabama" roll was old! Our waiter tried to over charge me and make up for the roll he took off! Tried to charge me $30 for a dish that's only $19.
