Hidden Gem!!! This was our first time here and it is amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Awesome atmosphere, history and food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is super friendly also. My husband did the Nut Buster Burger challenge. It is 4 patties, each with a dollop of peanut butter and 2 slices of bacon and a pound of fries! If you eat it in 30 minutes, it is free (regularly $26). [[HIGHLIGHT]]This building is so fun and full of history and amazing decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has 2 full bars and a large patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is big with multiple pool tables and other games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have bar seating, small and large tables and booths.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer a large beer tap selection and a great menu featuring wings, pizza, burgers and bbq options. The Rock Rest Lodge is a new favorite!

For a place that looks like a total dive bar I had an amazing time. The price of the drinks were exceptional and the food was amazing for bar food. It has to be one of the best pizzas I've had in Colorado. The beef sliders are excellent. The nachos are amazing Hands-down definitely worth the drive. Highly recommend coming to this bar.

I consider myself pretty much a regular here great selection of food great barbecue great prices good service and you might see a little booty cuz the waitresses dress that way. Today I had the pep slab of barbecue ribs and I they're just delicious what can I say and I upgraded to onion rings for a dollar and I got coleslaw and a cornbread muffin with butter all for like 20 bucks and I have to take a lot of it home cuz there's plenty to go around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another thing I like about it is that I can bring my dog inside with me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]don't be frightened away it probably has a reputation of being a Biker's bar but it's if that's just not true at least not during the day when I come[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] thanks

Think "hole in the wall" meets "dive bar" meets "go to place in town". Came for lunch and it was nearly empty. Service was subpar and took a while - had to ask for silverware, didn't get napkins and had to visit bar for drinks at times. Server was kind though. Food...to get it out of the way, the potato skins were sub par, there were clumps of cheese and other ingredients and I wouldn't need them again but they did the job. There was pools of grease I had to quite literally pour off them though. But the MOZZARELLA sticks - huge, cheesy deliciousness. Our group ordered 5 orders at lunch and didn't leave 1 to go to waste. We ended up coming back for late night fun the same day, the crowds were there, music was fabulous and the food service was great and quick! Kind staff, good vibes, and fair prices! Dance area was hopping and a great time all around! Would recommend coming for later in the evening fun for the crowd and music but would come again for sure!

We loved it so much on our way to Vail that we made a point to stop again on our way back to the Denver airport. That's about the highest compliment I can give a restaurant. The burnt ends were among the best we've ever had--perfectly smoky, tender, and full of flavor. The ribs were outstanding with just the right amount of bark and tenderness. Every sauce was delicious, the sides were excellent, and the local Colorado beer selection and craft cocktails were just as thoughtfully curated as the food. What really sets Seasoned Swine apart, though, is the people. The entire staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and it was clear they take pride in what they do. We had the pleasure of meeting Jacob, the owner, and his passion for authentic barbecue is evident in every detail--from the quality of the food to the atmosphere and service. You can tell this isn't just a business to him--it's a craft. In a world where so many restaurants are just "good enough," Seasoned Swine is memorable. We can't wait to come back, and we'll be recommending it to everyone we know traveling through the Denver/Golden area.

We were strongly motivated by a lunch date with our daughter and her husband, and apparently, the 'Seasoned Swine' experience starts with a mandatory pre-meal cardio session. If you aren't ready to hit the stairs, you aren't ready for the Swine. The Atmosphere (2 Stars): It's a bit like a sports bar that forgot to buy the TVs. Plenty of high-top tables to perched upon, and a bathroom door that refuses to close--perfect for those who enjoy a 'communal' dining experience in every sense of the word. The Service (3 Stars): Standard 'pay-to-play' setup. You order at the register, pay upfront, and hope for the best. Functional, but don't expect a candlelit serenade. The Food (5 Stars): This is where the magic happens. Three of us tackled the 'Swinoceros' plate--a meat-sweat-inducing mountain of the menu's highlights--while our fourth went for the pulled pork 'sammie.' The Candied Ribs: Out of this world. I'm pretty sure these are illegal in several states. Absolute perfection. The Burnt Ends: Moist, flavorful, and worth the drive alone. The Supporting Cast: The pulled pork, sliced turkey, brisket, and jalapeño cheddar sausage were all good. Even the sides--the OC Mac and Cheese and baked beans--were terrific. The Rolls: The three sweet rolls were... well, they were rolls. They were there. The Verdict: If you can survive the stairs, the awkward bathroom situation, and the DIY service, the food is a total knockout. I came for the family, but I'd stay for those candied ribs.

They were kind of just fatty pieces of barbecue meat. Still delicious and the sauces were great, but not really what I was hoping for. We ordered cheese curds, which were actually cubes and that is the first time I've ever seen shaped curds. They were pretty good, as was the sausage and mac & cheese, though the cheese sauce was a little thin. My mom had the focaccia grilled cheese, which had awesome flavors in it, but the focaccia itself was super thick. If we could decrease the bread by like half I think this would be an awesome choice. I think the main reason I would go to the Eddy is to hang out on their patio, especially when they have live music. It's a good view of golden in the foothills and its probably a great sunset spot. They also have a lot of good nonalcoholic options which we really appreciated - including nonalcoholic wine, which you don't see very often . I think I would stop back here on my way back from hiking or climbing in the canyon but I hope to be a little more impressed by the food next time.

Two men ate burgers, and I had the fried green tomato blt it was very good. So many fries on the side. Service was a smidgen slow, the waiter was attentive until near the end of our meal as more folks came and went in the restaurant. We waited a little to get final check. Great patio/pub dining inside the restaurant. Super dog friendly.

There are only a handful of businesses in Kittredge, a humble unincorporated town outside of Evergreen and Morrison (closer to the former). And shockingly, most of the businesses are great! This is another creekside restaurant and what's not to love about that? I've never actually dined in, only gotten takeout a few times. Doesn't change the fact that they are doing something right in the kitchen! At Switchback, they have the MEATS. As all good BBQ places should. My last meal consisted of their brisket, sausage, and mac and cheese. I really enjoyed everything I had. The sausage may have been my favorite, it was extremely juicy. Brisket is the best BBQ meat and theirs (even takeout) was tender and tasty. Like many BBQ places, the hours and quantities are limited. And for being in a remote unincorporated town you can't fault them for that. Take a scenic drive out this way and score some yummy 'que!!!
