The four of us who ate here all ended up in the ER that night. There's something fishy going on with their food and it's probably why they're so dirt cheap. To make matters worse the staff and manager/owner were unapologetic and yelled back at me in some foreign language when I called them to complain about the issue. Unethical businesses such as this one should be forced to close for public safety ASAP. We have also reached out to OC's Food Safety Inspections to investigate. They have messed up my order up two times. last time I called to let them know, all I got was a argument over a 7$ roll. 1. The rolls that We buy each week have become smaller and smaller. C'mon, like we aren't going to notice! 2. My friend who is elderly, and comes with me to eat there had a non stop bleeding (due to blood thinners) from the mouth from a small accident. When we first came in, he asked the owner of he could have a small cup of lemonade to help stop the bleeding. (Yes lemons help stop bleeding). It's the creamiest and freshest salmon I've ever had. And the salmon skin hand roll is big, crispy, and smoky. YUM. The crazy thing is how affordable everything is! The staff is super friendly, warm, and thoughtful. It really means a lot to me that they remember if I don't need utensils, so it doesn't go to waste. Love this sushi place. Good sushi quality and good prices. And in this day in age you can't beat that! I recommend ordering ahead by phone and picking up since there is usually always a line. Sometimes it can be a little hard to get in on the phone but just keep trying it'll be worth it to just stop by and pick up and not have to wait. My girl & I ordered one of the lunch specials, I believe it was Combo A & C. For the price, we were not expecting that much food, but when the food arrived, to our surprise, it was a huge amount of food. Not only were there ample quantities, but it was also bomb as hell. The chicken teriyaki is where it's at, it doesn't taste fatty like it does at some other places. I didn't try the sushi but my gf said she really liked her cali rolls. We've decided this is gonna be our new go-to spot for cheap healthy eats. My only gripe about this place is that I was there was more seating available. We tried this place during the pandemic and it was pretty good! My husband had been here before, but it was my first time so I was happy to test it out. I was so hungry I forgot to take photos, but I ordered a California roll and he had one of the combos. The foot was tasty and prepared quickly! This local Japanese food joint has become a weekly tradition for us - mainly thanks to their consistent, crave-worthy rolls. The spicy tuna and California rolls are simple but flawlessly constructed, with quality ingredients and great rice. We also love their specialty rolls like the rainbow roll or "ken's special". The tempura batter is perfectly light and crisp, whether you get veggies or shrimp. While we haven't tried the teriyaki bowls yet, the sushi and tempura alone keep us coming back every week. The prices are fair and the service is speedy. I would suggest calling ahead though if you want to save time from waiting, sometimes peak hours it can get a little busy but they always try to be as quick as possible. For delicious, unfussy sushi in a relaxed neighborhood spot, this is our tried-and-true favorite.
