I walk in tonight at 5:48PM and order an Italian Sub, I ask the guy serving me if the Pepperocini come on the sub or on the side, he says "on the side" and asks me if I want sweet or hot. I say "none" actually and my order is placed at 5:49PM. At this point I pick up a menu from the counter and notice the price on the menu is $6.29 and the POS charged me $6.59 I tell the dude that his menu is wrong and he looks at the menu, looks at my receipt, looks on the POS and says "It's $6.59..I say yes, that's what my receipt says but the menu says $6.29..."DUH", his confusion sets in.... Come to find out that the guy who took my order is a manager cause the cashier finally comes back to the cash register as swarms of calls and walk in folks order. I found out that the manager (Jose) was the manager cause he starts barking orders at employees due to the number of orders they receive. At one point he tells an employee "Yo, it can't be to hard to get this fucking shit right, get it together" and WTF, why is this order not done yet they ordered at 5:53PM and it's 6:20PM, what am I gonna tell the customer". Trust me, while sitting there, I heard plenty more cuss words and plenty more service issues that I won't go into. So obviously you notice I am still there at 6:20, in fact I am there until 6:25 when the cashier says to me " have you been helped" and I say "all I am doing is waiting for one single sub, can you go check on it". She comes back with my sub and says "this was done in about 5 minutes" and laughs at the error.... I get my sub home, open 'er up and notice it is only about 6 inches... my disappointment can be seen on my face, and of course, what is baked under the cheese, you guessed it, Pepperocini. The sub was definitely using the right meats Cappicola, Mortadela and Genoa so I give the quality a 6 or 7 (I've had better in Detroit) but man, as others on this site have pointed out (and I have read on Yelp when reading reviews about other locations) they definitely need better training or a better system. I will try the pizza next time I have a spare $20 for one pie, but I will have to order it 60-90 minutes before I want it. March 11, 2013, I want this in the same review so here goes. $23.00 for one 16" pie with a 2L (yes i used a coupon) and I am still on the fence. The crust on the thin pie was "bland" but thin is not Chicago style so maybe I tried the wrong crust. Pepperoni was better than chains, but still kinda had no taste (contradictory I know). The Italian sausage was good, but the sauce was bland and the cheese got rubbery as the pie cooled. I ordered at 4:30 PM to avoid delays, the web site tool said it could be an hour before I got my delivery, but I got it in 30-35 minutes...so my advice is order early :) but at least this time I have no service issues to report. Had deep dish and Caesar salad. It was ok. Crust was not crisp on the bottom at all. Caesar salad had some old leaves and the croutons where the tiny cheap kind. Good quality ingredients on the pizza but still quite overpriced. If you'll see my reviews you will see that all of my others are positive experiences. Sadly this one is not. I have ordered from Rosati's somewhere between 5-10 previously and each time was very pleased with their pizza. They are more expensive than most but I felt well worth the price. This time as I've always done before I ordered with extra sauce. Unfortunately when it arrived there was not even enough sauce for a normal pizza. I was so disappointed, the pizza was definitely substandard quality. Since my previous experiences were so positive I contacted the owner directly about the problem. I assumed as a businessman he would appreciate the opportunity to reclaim a previously happy customer. Boy was I wrong! He got very defensive and said he remembered making the pie and that there was plenty of sauce. He even said come in and I'll show you the video. It was hard not to laugh. He asked me what he could do to make it right I told him he should give me a free pie. He said no that he would give me 20% off and accused me of blackmailing him. In my line of work I make about $250 per hour. In the time it took me to speak with him and write this review I could have purchased 10 of his pizzas. When I told him to just forget it he said, "if I give you a pizza now will that make you happy." I told him his attitude baffled me and that I would not order a pizza from him again. He politely thanked me for my time and hung up. His pies are usually great. But he screwed it up this time and compounded things by not owning up to it. I cannot patronize a place with this kind of lack of integrity. It's a shame to because I really like their pizza (when they get it right). And to pour salt in the wound the coupons they attached to the box (as is their custom) had expired two months earlier (March 2017). Good pizza guy, bad businessman. read more

I go to Atlanta 4 times a year and ALWAYS go to Rosati's. I love the gluten-free pizza there is crisp and delicious. This one in Flower Mound left me so disappointed. Chewy, gummy, gluten-free crust with no crispness. I spent $20 for a 4 ingredient gluten-free pizza and I'm throwing the remaining 80% in the trash. It's not worth it. I even ordered it there and brought it straight home. I get it to-go in Atlanta and it's not like this. The $3 side salad was a good size salad. Crisp, cold and delicious. This breaks my heart. I love Rosati's but maybe they have a different vendor for their gluten-free crust here. I'm sure their regular pizzas are probably better because they use the same dough and sauce recipe for all of the chains. Once again, I'll wait for Atlanta. read more

Horrible management/ownership at this store. My wife, son, and I drove from Denton to pick up a pizza tonight. When I arrived, I swiped my card and was walking out when the employee called me back and told me the credit card machine was down and it was cash only tonight. Like most people, I don't carry cash. The employee asked the manager who said there was nothing they could do. I went out to my car and found a $20 and went back in and told them I had that. The manager called the owner who said there was no way I was getting the pizza. Realizing the customer service was non existent, I left since I had a crying kid in the car by this point. I understand things happen, but you made no attempt to take care of a customer who drove and planned to spend money at your location. If the credit card machine was not working, that is something you should tell your customers when they order. We drove down 1171 and luckily Enzos got us a pizza in 10 minutes.I will never return to Rosati's. You've lost a customer. read more

I have been eating Rosati's pizza for over 40 years so when I tell you this is the same Rosati's pizza you get in Chicago, believe me it is. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is the 20" monster I ordered tonight was a little light on green olives. I drove an hour round trip to pick up 3 pizza's tonight and I will do it again. The price is definitely worth it. It is more expensive than the cardboard pizza chains around but it so wort it. I came back to try Rosati's Pizza, this time at least knowing that it was going to be a little pricey. Not much has changed with regards to the storefront. It's no cleaner, though no worse, than I recall. To their credit, the present staff was much friendlier. It appears, though I can't confirm, they are under new ownership or management since my last review a long time ago. I got one large deep dish, plain, and sides of fries and mozzarella sticks. The sides were both sub par. The fries were soggy but fries to go are nearly impossible, so I give them a pass. The mozzarella sticks should be excellent here, but they were not. They lacked just the right amount of cooking - they were undercooked, and the batter was bland. The pizza was a disappointment. Setting aside the high bar that the price sets, it just was a swing and a miss. I can't vouch for authenticity. I can compare it to UNO's only (my only Chicago style experience) but Rosati's was not as good. The advertised buttery flaky crust was actually just thick, bland bread. The cheese was under the sauce and it just didn't melt right. It was lumpy and unmelted. Overall, we all felt full and even over indulged after a slice or two, but none of us felt satisfied. read more

The best Chicago style pizza in the area. The thin crust pizza is exceptional. We have had the Italian Beef sandwich, Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan it was all very good. I've read several of the reviews on this place, and feel they are not deserved. If price is what you are looking for- head to Little Caesar's, or grab your coupon for papa Johns. I'm from the Midwest and really really like this pizza. The sauce is rich ( not Ragu) , the thin crust is perfect and the toppings are plentiful. Called back after receiving the sad product and the person again did not know menu. Said Italian always come hot. No veggies even though printed on menu. Please memorize your menu. I received a microwaved sandwich. Horrible! First time ordering. In addition to sandwich, ordered wings. The sauce was so horrible could have poured into a bowl and said it was broth. I'm so excited to find this close to where I live. I think it's the closest thing i have of my hometown Chicago. I like their deep dish. Although it's nothing like Lou Malnati's but still is the closest one out here. Their delivery service is sometimes a hit or miss. Majority of the time late. I have been ordering here they opened. I am from Chicago and this is Chicago style thin crust pizza. I have never had the deep dish, there is a Gino's East in Dallas, they are the deep dish experts. I consider Rosati's the thin crust experts. The cheese is supposed to be brown, if you are looking for white gooey cheese go to Pizza hut.Crust is awesome, I get my pizza's well done because for a while there they were undercooking the pizza. That is not Chicago style. Their calzones are also awesome. I would not recommend appetizers, it is a pizza place. That said the pizza, calzones, Italian sausages are the real deal. read more

I ordered from this restaurant via the Doordash App. I ordered the Monstrous pizza. What I got was a BURNED pizza. I don't mind a little blistering on the crust of a pizza. This wasn't blistering. It was burned. Never the less, I tried a piece. One of the things I am looking for in a pizza is the ability to taste all the ingredients. I have had Hot Pockets that have more flavor. 80% of the pizza is sitting on the counter. I can't imagine how they looked at the pizza they sent me and determined it to be appealing, appetizing and of high quality. I also ordered some of the most pedestrian tasting cheese sticks ever. There were 8 in the package and now there are 7. This is the third time I have been burned (pardon the pun) by this restaurant. You would think with Parma Pizza Pasta down the street, they would produce better food. I really debated between giving three or four stars. I decided on three because I feel there's a couple of negatives that hold more weight with me personally. Rosati's is located the intersection of FM 1171 (Main St.) and FM 2499 (Long Prairie Rd.) in Lewisville. They share a small strip mall location with several other tenants that's for take-out or delivery only. Recently I looked around to see if there was someplace in my area that served Chicago style deep dish pizza. My search led me to Rosati's. Let me get this out of the way: their food is good! I have no complaints in that department. I've had their deep dish, and thin crust pizzas as well as salads and a few different pastas. The salads are huge as are the pizzas I've tried. Make sure you're ordering for multiple people or have a hell of a big appetite if you're alone. Now unfortunately comes the negatives. One minor complaint I have is that it takes what seems like forever to get your order delivered no matter what time of the day it is. Since the Chicago style pizza is a large undertaking for them to bake I can cut them a little slack for this. The other complaint is that this place is EXPENSIVE! I mean cringe worthy expensive! For example, my last order I placed was for one large thin crust pizza, a grilled chicken salad and an order of spaghetti & meatballs. This ran me right at about $50 with a tip. I love their food but oof! If I'm going to order from them I usually have to think long and hard about it but I shouldn't have to. I mean it's a pizza place after all. The pizza had an authentic flavor similar to what you would taste in Chicago. Chicagoans like thin crust also and cut it in squares. Solid delivery. I got my fix. I agree with some comments that while the young girl was friendly whom waited on us you don't come here for service. I didn't expect any. It's just a pizza joint after all. She was probably family or friends of the family and after the silly commercial rent, taxes and other expenses they are just trying to make it. Italian beef was weak. Not because their not using good bread or beef but probably just because they don't sell enough. Taste was off. Probably slightly expired. I will try again one day cause I miss a proper Chicago beef sandwich. Which brings me to my final comment........ Giardiniera....Acquired taste that I think native Texans would adore if they knew what it was. It's an Italian pickled spicy mix that we put on sandwiches, pizza., beef sandwiches and brush our teeth with. EveryTexan I know loves picked spicy condiments with their BBQ. Try it. So the pizza some people complained had pickled carrots and onions had Giardiniera. I think the restaurant should explain it better in the menu and that might help. We've heard good things about Rosati's so we decided to have some food delivered. My wife ordered the cheese ravioli and she said it was pretty good. I ordered an individual salad and chicken Parmesan. First of all I ordered my salad with no tomatoes and they couldn't get that right, then the chicken in the chicken Parmesan was burnt and so tough and dry you couldn't cut it with a knife. Basically it was inedible, so I called and talked to the manager and all he would say is they have a new cook and will talk to him. He never offered to take care of anything. However they pack great flavor on the thin crust and it's less polarizing for those who don't know of, or appreciate, deep dish. Highly recommeded Chicago eatery...What a Disappointment! No table service with this extensive menu. Very surprised that this location is a take out/delivery only place and after ordering the food, I can't imagine that it's anyway associated with the original in Chicago. We ordered the Caesar salad, Pizza bread and a small Chicago deep dish. The salad: Caeser dressing tasted bottled and had a sweet after taste, not that fabulous garlic, anchovy taste you expect in a Caesar, but the most disappointing thing was the boxed croutons. Ordered the pizza bread and added pepperoni for the kids, assuming it was going to be pizza crust with melted cheese etc. What we received was a store bought sandwhich roll, the Pepperidge Farm soft hoagie roll type, with melted cheese and topping again very disappointed with the restaurant quality being served here. Now for the pizza....ordered a small Chicago style deep dish pizza with mushrooms and sausage. Good size for 3-4 people without being stuffed however, the crust was plain, no delicious garlic buttery goodness that you expect with this type of pizza. The sauce was bland - possibly canned - and there was no cheese on the pizza. (Depp dish is always loaded with cheese) The sausage was fair, but the mushrooms were fresh, a plus. I wouldn't waste your time for the money for Rosati's. There is a lot to be worked out here which is too bad becasue we were looking for a better pizza experience in Flower Mound. Alforno's is the best Italian place in the area, offering the finest Sicilian fare and Carmine's in Lewisville has excellent pizza. You have one chance to make an impression and unfortunatley, this one won't have us coming back. read more

For weeks I was looking forward to this place opening and was disappointed. We showed up to pick up and sat there for 5 minutes "because it wasn't ready yet" which was fine. Until we left and watched the girl pick up a box I had been staring at since we walked in. The employees had no idea what was going on. I understand they just opened but why wouldn't you train before opening? Now on to the food...the crust was terrible and super plain. The sauce tasted canned. Totally disappointing. Not to mention the pizza wasn't even cooked all the way. If you want a good deep dish pizza you're going to have to go to BJs. I live in Lantana and we have had delivery here numerous times. The last 3 times I called here for delivery, they said they won't deliver to me because their 1 delivery driver is backed up. I told the guy on the phone this issue and asked if the owner knew about this and he said, yep, he don't care. I'm sorry, it's bad enough that there's no decent choices for pizza out here but to bring an I don't care attitude into the equation will not net you any more business. Yesterday I order a few Pizza,s Last time I order from this place, I was very disappointed because they were not made or taste very good that was many months ago but as of yesterday 10 27 2018 it seems like they have new manager and he was fantastic my pizzas were excellent both the supreme and a cheese and sausage with very generous cheese and sausage .I will continue my business with them since their current products are excellent the manager was very nice and courteous and did everything he possibly could to make me a happy customer that would come back thank you very much for your excellent service and for great pizzas.
