Best burrito ever - California burrito! Calling in by phone is recommended on a Sunday morning. Long line, but lots of workers that were still friendly despite crowd out the door. The only thing I would recommend is to attend promptly to customers in the phone pick up area - seemed like an afterthought and it wasn't working well. They kept helping next customers despite my food being ready and waiting on the counter. No biggie / it was very (very) crowded! Yay for local businesses! To me, Rose Donuts & Cafe is the friendly neighborhood donut place. I'm a fan, because they've always been courteous and I've always had a nice, easy experience. My bad days are only a donut or two away. I've stopped by a few times to get a dozen donuts for whenever I need to sugar up somebody. I also stop by when I need that extra cheer-me-up during the day. The donuts are fresh and delicious especially in the mornings. I have to say though, the food smells absolutely delicious whenever I come by in the morning and I keep kicking myself for not having tried it yet. What I adore about this place is that they never let a customer feel sorry for coming by. The guilt of eating a box of donut all by myself always makes me feel bad, but customer service is fast, easy, friendly, and never makes me regret coming here. read more

So... I understand the problems of a shopping center remodel, but they have had a few months to get it together... and don't! Got us a LONG line to order... with 10 in front of me... line went quickly as they take orders and take money ... and then we wait... and wait... AND WAIT... the line cycles through 3 full times.. a group at a table gets their order and has time to fully eat it and leave... other people are getting their orders... after order after order... and a young gal who got in line and made it to the front and paid... waits less then 5 min... and gets her HUGE ORDER! When I question the manager... she says that was a phone in order ..... and MY order was still 3 tickets out.... hummmm. EVERYBODY who was in line in front of me already had they order and left... people who came in behind me have gotten their order and left.... and SOMEHOW.... I'm still 3 tickets out..... after a 20 min wait for 3 simple bagels... she says " phone In next time it will be faster". Ummmm. Yeah... guess what .... there will be NO next time... Great little spot to try for breakfast or lunch. This place was recommended by a friend so I decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint. It could be easy to miss if you're not looking, very small spot but there is outdoor seating (limited) the donuts are fantastic I had the bacon maple and the fruity pebble donuts, which were great. Also ordered the pastrami cheeseburger which was the first time I've heard of a burger being mixed with pastrami. It was one of the best burgers I've had, the beef was of great quality and the pastrami added a nice extra dimension to an already great burger. I wish I could give more stars. I arrived around 10:15pm, I proceeded to order something of the menu and was told they weren't taking any more orders just donuts and coffee. Rose Donuts & Cafe is a local treasure. Not only are the donuts amazing but they are just the right balance of sweet without being overly sweet. They've perfected the glazed donut. My favorites are the old fashioned glazed and the apple fritters. The breakfast burritos are hot and nice quality. If I lived closer I'd be here at least three times a week. The staff are all very pleasant and hard working. The service is fast and accurate. A great place to stop and get a bagel for the kids or a car picnic for a road trip. I found this place completely by accident and I'm happy I did. This is my new favorite stop on my way to LA. Thank goodness they have an 8 year lease. You have to try this place. Wow. SO we decided to stop by for a quick sugar fix and then we realized we stumbled into something that will take us to another journey. Upon entering you would think that this is any other donut shop but are you (as well as I) was sadly mistaken. Jelly filled donuts were as fresh as watching them being made with jelly oozing out with such abundance and flavor enough to call your doctor and just tell him you became diabetic. This has to be one of the best breakfast burritos in South County. I have had a few of them but my favorite is the the California Burrito. Good size and it will not leave you hungry. My kids all love the fun selection of donuts. Although there can be a wait depending on when you arrive, it is worth the wait and the staff seems to do their best to speed up the process and get orders to the customers.
