Wow, this banh mi pork belly sandwich is a HOMERUN. The sweetness from the carrots to the freshness of the mint to the filling of pork belly and back to the crunchiness of the French bread. Each bite was as enjoyable as the one before. I hate to feel like I'm cheating on my go-to Vietnamese sandwich shop but man this one has just that extra flavor over my go-to place. So happy to see Saiga open up in Orange! I usually go to the Irvine location but had a chance to check out the new location and wanted to see how the Orange location differed. The Orange location is a larger space and has a very relaxing and welcoming vibe. Staff was helpful and friendly, and food came out quickly! The two of us ordered 3 entrees to share and so that we would have leftovers to enjoy later: PORK BELLY VERMICELLI: so refreshing on a warm day, and yet so satisfying. The pork belly was just as addictive, crispy on the edge and jiggly in the interior as I remembered. Can't get enough of Saiga's style of pork belly! And I love that this is served with a delicious crispy egg roll. KIMCHI FRIED RICE WITH PORK BELLY: so smart to dice the pork belly into smaller pieces to go with the kimchi fried rice! The texture was different, yet still so pleasant to eat. We enjoyed this and had plenty of leftovers that reheated well the next day. Though their concept focuses on Vietnamese takeout I can definitely say the quality of food is well above fast food. During my visit here I got to enjoy their Combination Pho as well as their Garlic Noodles with Pork Belly. The pho had flavorful broth with lots of tender filet mignon and brisket. I found the soup to be so heartwarming. The Garlic Noodles with Pork Belly was equally as delicious. The noodles had the perfect garlicky flavor and the pork belly brought a balance of a nice, crispy texture. I also loved how the pork belly was quite lean and not fatty. To add even more flavor for this dish; they gave a side of Peruvian green sauce. This sauce was enhanced the flavors of the pork belly even more. I enjoyed the pho and garlic noodles so much, that I decided to get a to-go order of their BBQ Chicken Banh Mi. I got to enjoy the banh mi a later in the day. Wonderful catering experience! We tried the food at a friend's party a few months ago. My husband and kids really enjoyed the food, which is rare at parties for them to notice. They asked me to cater from this company recently for one of our parties. So for my husband's surprise birthday party, I ordered a week in advance. They let me know when they were on their way, and when they arrived. It was extremely helpful since I couldn't be present for the delivery because it was a surprise. They set everything up on the counter neatly for us. When everyone ate the food many of them asked where I ordered from too because they really enjoyed the dishes. We ordered the meal package for 20, and had all 3 proteins available. The favorite was the crispy pork belly, also the garlic noodles & green aioli sauce. I paid about $50 for delivery and tip, which was worth it to not have to run around picking things up or burdening someone else to do it. Will definitely order from them again in the future! I did not get anything because I wanted to try the pho did not want to take it to-go. As we waited, the place is not very big about 4 table and some window seats. There was a strong odor of vinegar in the place. Food took about 10 min. At home my daughter ate. She said at first the noodles were dry but she added the sauce that came with it and it was good. I thought it was an actual Vietnamese restaurant but this is more of a fast food type .. eat and good quick service. I guess I didn't look at the menu closely enough. I don't really write reviews but this is my second time trying this place and I'm still not really into their style of bland taste. I didn't know their food was consistently going to be like this which is why I gave it another shot today, broth is so bland I added way too much hoisin and sriracha to get some flavor out of the pho. The garlic noodles were a first time order so those are not pictured but I still remember how dry they were. I tried the eggrolls today which were not bad but again I'm not used to the lack of flavor. They also serve their egg rolls with chili sauce instead of fish sauce. On the plus side they have a kids coloring activity and cute shows playing in the background. The rice was mushy and broken up like broken rice. I wouldn't call this fried rice at all. Looked like they premade it and then threw it back into a rice cooker to keep warm.
