Found a vehicle I was searching for at this dealer; well, almost. They were advertising it without pictures or a price because they didn't have it; is that even legal? I called and found out they were to get it; it was a trade they took, sight unseen. They were going to ask $15,000 something for it; I offered $14,000 if it was as they stated. They accepted and we agreed they would do nothing to it for me; they sent me a picture a couple days later. I asked for more than one picture and a Carfax on it. They said they couldn't get more pictures right then because the interior wa worse than they had been told, so they sent it to be detailed and have the interor evaluated. I asked them why and reminded them that they were to do nothing under our agreement. Then they said the interior would cost $500 to fix, if I wanted them to fix it. I expressed disappointment at that, but agreed to pay that if they fixed the interior. Next e-mail I get, three days later, is that they sold it to someone else without having it even return to the dealership!! I've written multiple times to the salesperson (Jared) and he doesn't respond. I use their on-line 'help' tool (Elana), and no one calls or writes. I don't live near this dealership, but if I did, I would NEVER go back to a dealer that accepts and offer then sells the product to another person. They didn't even offer it to me as a first, with the other person second; they just sold it to the other person. This reeks of poor or dishonest managment and salespersons with weak ethics. This dealership should be ashamed of what they did - apparently they are; so ashamed, they can't even communicate with me about what they did. read more

Fact: Car buying experiences is usually a painful experience. I recently bought a Platinum F150 at Sam Pack Carrollton. The experience was without flaw from inital phone call to negotiation to driving off in new vehicle. Pleasant and down to earth are the guys at the dealership. I'm fairly new to Texas, so I was looking for a good dealership to service my Ford vehicle. So far, I've visited the service department twice: once for routine maintenance and second to have some warranty work done. Kevin in the service department was very helpful both times. He and his team got my car in and out a lot faster than I had expected. I've visited a dealership that was a lot closer to my home, but was very disappointed in their customer service (and that's putting it nicely). I will gladly make the drive out to Carrollton from now on and when the time comes, I will come here to buy my next Ford. read more

Despite being in the middle of a renovation, these guys provided excellent service and helped us find a vehicle that was within our budget and a great fit for our family. Dirk Sommers worked exceptionally hard to make sure we were taken care of, during and after the sale. He also worked with us on pricing, which was great. Special shoutout to Ron in the service department. We bought CPO, plus an extended warranty and had to bring it in a few weeks later due to a nail in the tire (and a few cosmetic issues on the interior). Vehicle Purchase: 9-29-14 UPDATE: 12-1-14 Soon after I wrote the review, I was contacted by the Used Car Sales Manager Michael May. He called me to hear my story and asked me when I can have the car in to get fixed no questions asked, I drove it up to Dallas (I'm from Austin) which he then provided me with a rental car until my car is fixed. Waiting for the car to be hopefully fixed and returned in a week's time. Summary: Sold me a 2013 vehicle with a BROKEN transmission, CLAIMED it was under factory warranty. I tried to call back to ask about it but my phone calls were IGNORED. I just purchased a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution from Sam Pack's Five Star Ford in Dallas about a month ago. I talked to the Internet Sales Manager who's name is Don Wagner. When I purchased the vehicle he told me it was under factory warranty. I test drove the car and immediately noticed a bit of notchiness in the fourth gear. I did research on the car and this is common in these cars specially when they're practically brand new. He told me I had to get used to driving it since it had "a lot of power." I then take it home and am not able to drive it for a while since I was shopping around for insurance for the car. About a month had gone by and I finally have insurance on the car and am able to drive it around. I notice that the notchiness was actually a sort of grinding of the gears. I then take it to a certified Mitsubishi dealership just to double check and tell me that the vehicle is out of factory warranty due to the fact that it was tuned. I immediately call back Sam Pack's and Don Wagner. He picked up the first time and I explained to him the situation. I tell him "Hey this Mitsubishi dealership is telling me the vehicle is tuned and therefore is void of a factory warranty." "He says Yes I actually knew that let me do research on it and I'll call you back." I try to talk to him personally and I get his voicemail. He ignores me for a day, two days, a week, two weeks, now a month. I am now going to attempt to contact the General Manager and if not the owner to get this resolved. I spoke with DeJuan Trotter in service and explained my story. Not only did Dejuan squeeze me in that day, but that hour! The issue with my vehicle was due to recall and cost nothing. My boyfriend and I live in Austin and had been searching for a specific model of the Nissan Leaf for a few weeks. After not having much luck we expanded our search to the Dallas area and found a Leaf listed on the Sam Pack website. It was just what we were looking for and priced lower than any Leaf of the same year we'd seen in Austin or Houston. First thing Saturday morning we placed a call to see if the car was still available and ask a couple of specific questions. After speaking with Jason Acker, who was able to answer all our questions and even get us a better price than the already low listed price, we jumped in the car to make the 3 hour drive. I am so glad that we did! This dealership made the car buying process quick and painless. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle without one of my parents and I wasn't sure what to expect. Jason greeted us right away and gave us the keys to go for a test drive. Since we already knew what we wanted and had agreed upon a price, it was as simple as signing some paperwork. Even the financing department was a breeze. I had already told them I had been approved for a loan 1.65% through my bank, so they didn't try to pressure me into financing through them. And here comes the surprising part - they didn't even ask me to call my bank to send over the approval - just asked for the phone # and approval # and said they would call and take care of everything. If I owed anything they would give me a call and take payment over the phone. I never thought buying a car could be so easy! I Had the best customer service ever from Aaron when buying my car. Michael in the finance department got me a great interest rate. And the service center is fantastic as well. My forward pass app Kept telling me I needed to have a service done at 10000 miles but Clay in the service department sent me an email advising me to wait until the time recommended from the last service time which is not until 14000 miles or 1 year from last service so I'm glad to know that he stopped me from getting service that isnt necessary at this time. I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2015 Ford F-150. My experience was about as smooth, straightforward, and enjoyable as a car-buying experience can be. Not only do I feel that I got a great truck for a fair price (and fair trade-in price), but management was extremely flexible with a unique situation I had involving the title to my trade-in vehicle. They sold me the truck and were willing to wait several weeks for the DMV to issue a new title for the trade-in - all while I was able to continue driving my new truck. This gesture demonstrated a sincere trust and commitment to customer service that I frankly would not have expected from most car dealerships. Had the vehicle for about a week and 3 days when the dealership called me and asked me to return the car because the deal fell though. I highly recommend that if you are going to buy a vehicle from this place, make sure you are guaranteed you are financed so that they don't call you back a few days later and ask for more money or have you return the car that you already signed a legal contract on. My hubby and I were recently in the market for a new to us car. We came across a 2017 Ford Escape Titanum on there website and popped in late in the afternoon during the week. Our salesman David Baldovin was outstanding. Not only did he show us the car we had seen on the lot we were interested it. He gave us his contact information as I had one more car I wanted to look at. We decided that night we wanted to go with the Ford. We contacted David that night to find he was not working the following day. But he came in on his day off to get us into the new vehicle!! We had also seen on the website it was being advertised as a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) however when we got in the documentation did not show that. David and Sam Pack's made it right. I originally bought my Transit van from Sam Packs and have been completely satisfied. Recently I had a mechanical issue which caused me to bring the van in to the closest dealership for warranty repairs and this was not Sam Packs. The other dealership told the parts wouldn't be available for 2 week to 3 months leaving me without a vehicle and needless to say I wasn't pleased. I contacted Sam Packs who had the part that was needed in stock, they had the van towed from Arlington to their dealership and they had me back on the road the next day. This is what I call exceptional service and going forward my vehicles will not go anywhere else when in need of service. read more

Rotten service! Since I have a Ford already I thought I'd buy another as I like the way it drives etc. I purchased a new Explorer here and the buying experience was good. The service however is very bad. Very long wait times, not completing work as scheduled put me on my last nerve. The second time I waited for my oil to be changed (with an appointment) for over 2 hours, I am done! Will not ever get my Fords serviced here again. Had an appointment with Kurt but he was with a customer so I was passed off to Jess who couldn't even find the car I came to see. After waiting about 10-15 minutes for her to find the car and figure out how to shift gears, I took a test drive. Came back to dealership and I was ready to talk numbers. She was very slow and didn't seem like she knew what she was doing to say she'd been there 2 years. I've purchased 3 cars so I know how it should go. Anyways, the trade offer was too low and she also told me I should put 2k down when I already explained that was not going to happen. She said okay and handed me my car keys. The other dealership has the same car, a few more miles, but 0 down and offered 1k more for my trade. Smh & I really liked that car 5 Star!!! read more

I bought a 2008 Ford F150 King Ranch in 10/19. It had 206,000, but I reviewed the service records before I purchased and despite the mileage, it seemed like it was well cared for. Boy was I wrong. I had to replace the transmission 2/20. Something is leaking from the bottom and the brakes are bad. I thought since I was purchasing it from a dealership, it was safe, but this truck is definitely not worth the headache. Shame on Sam Pack Ford, for selling this piece of crap. Should have let it go to the scrap yard... I wish I can give a negative star rating. read more

Worst customer service in the service dept. I have EVER seen!! Rude, act like they could care less that you are there or why you are there. The lady who answers the phone at the dealership is wonderful and she needs to go out there and give the service dept. some lessons! I walked in the service dept. and none of the six people in there said anything or even acted like I was there for quite some time, then one nice gentleman comes in from outside and acknowledges my presence, at which time some rude guy in a cowboy hat proceeds to jump in and be rude and dismissive, obviously totally put out that I walked in the door. By far one of the worst experiences I have ever had was at this horrible establishment. I bought my car and everything was going great until I had a lady from accessories lied to my face when trying to sell me parts. When you are making a sale and the customer asks about the spoiler and tint and you tell him that it is not on the car. It should damn well better be on the car. I tried to get a refund and they would not give me back the money so I instead to chose to upgrade my intake and ecu. Once again their accessory department dropped the ball and installed non ford parts at a 3rd party race shop instead of a ford mechanic (VIOLATING MY WARRANTY). You would think that a company would try and make things right but instead I have their manager walk out and tell me that they have had to many different things going on with car and would not be doing anything with the car anymore. When I threatened to call ford they suddenly ordered the parts for the car to make things right. Fast forward 2 months for when all the work is done and it takes 20 calls and endless times being hung up on before I can even find out the total balance of the new work. They refuse to email me receipts and tried to charge me for floor mats which they originally said they would throw in for free. Do yourself a favor and do not do business here. I was contacted by their management to try and sort things out but instead of being helpful they did nothing. After several additional months of trying to find out what i had been charged I received a sticky note with scribbled writing with the warranty information from the Internet. Also the I have yet to receive a receipt from them about what was done to my car and how much everything cost. During this time they completely forgot to call me back for 3 weeks. I have NEVER been screwd so bad by a car dealer in my life! to start with I was charged a $1500 reconditioning fee on my trade in, yet the car was listed the same day. How can $1500 worth of recondition be done in 4 hours.......just another way to rip off a return customer. I initially chose a Certified Pre-Owned 2013 Mustang GT. I constantly told about the 172 point inspection that CPO cars were given. After I got the car home on a friday, I found that the there rear bumper cover was about to fall off, the rear brake rotors had such deep grooves in them they could not be repaired but would have had to be replaced and to top it off there was no spare, jack or anything in the case for flat repair!. I returned the car and asked about a new car and how much it would be. I was told that it would be $28.5k. so I decided to purchase a new car instead. I was ran through the paper sighning like a cow thru cattle shute. When I went to make my fist payment I saw that the pay was was substantially more than it should have been. I had Ford Motor Credit send me a copy of the contract and found that I had been charge $34.5k for the car not $28.5 like the salesman Oleg told me. The bad part about it is I was a rturn customer to this car dealership. Granted i should have stopped the rush in the contract signing and read thru everything, however I never dreamed I would be lied to about the cost of the car..All i can say is BEWARE SAM PACK FORD OF CARROLTON HAS NO INTEGRITY. I've written this, deleted, and re-written. The bottom line is that the sales manager at Sam Pack's Five Star Ford, in Carrollton cares more about his bottom line in this "new / covid-19" world, than he does people. I made a deal with them on Friday. Overall, in the deal: they rushed me, I was rushed because of my schedule and all around, I should have known better. I left the dealership feeling bad and I left the new (used) car with them to replace the windshield and some other minor things. It was to be delivered to me on Monday. I was told, that the deal was reversable until the point that I took possession of the vehicle. Monday morning, I mentioned the purchase to my boss. He let me know that additional reductions in workforce were pending. He couldn't/wouldn't elaborate. Panic sat in. I contacted Sam Pack's Five Star Ford right away to see about cancelling the deal. I was told they would have to check and the store manager would have to call me to discuss. Mind you, the vehicle has not only NOT been delivered to me at this point, it wasn't ready to be delivered. The store manager didn't call Monday until after 7 PM (and still no vehicle). He wanted to know my explanation for wanting out of the deal and once I explained to him that my job was in jeopardy, he coldly informed me that I got a good price, that it was a legally binding contract and would take too much work to reverse it. It was a done deal. So, after I explained to him that I was in jeopardy of losing my job, he wouldn't make good on a verbal grace period as offered to me from the dealership. I am a single middle aged woman. My only income is my job. If I lose that, I lose all ability to pay any/everything. He would lose ONE SALE...and per his own comments to me - the reason the car wasn't ready on time and why it took him so long to call me : they were busy. read more

My wife and I are both from the DFW area and were visiting friends and family for about a week before going to Jacksonville. I spent over five hours at this dealership on Friday July 15 negotiating a 2016 Expedition EL. They did not have what I wanted in inventory but found one locally at another dealership. I agreed to the sale of a new 2016 Expedition EL on Friday, was given a loaner 2016 Expedition, and was promised delivery on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday July 16th I contacted the dealership at about 1:00 PM and was told my vehicle was cleaned and ready for delivery. I was told to come pick up at any time. My wife, three kids and I travelled to the dealership to pickup our "brand new" 2016 Expedition EL. Upon arrival, my sales associate Reuben Krause drove the vehicle out front for delivery. Immediately my wife and I noticed a nickel sized scratch on the hood. Upon further inspection the truck had several small dents on the trim around all of the windows (appeared to be hail damage). The interior was worn and scratched. Food crumbs were all over the floor board in the back. The vehicle had over 1600 miles on it. My paperwork from Friday guaranteed a new 2016 Ford Expedition with 75 miles on it. I have seen used vehicles in better condition than the vehicle Sam Pack 5 star Ford tried to deliver to me. This was the worst car buying experience I have ever witnessed and an absolute scam that they tried to perform. Even if they did not know that the car was in the condition it was when doing the dealer swap, someone should have noticed all of what I have described upon receiving it from the other dealer. I feel like this dealership hoped I was desperate and would take the car as is. This was the most crooked and disgusting business practice that I have ever been witness to. Do not bring your vehicle to their service department! I took my car there 4x for the same thing and they still didn't get it right. Told them there was a computer issue with the vehicle, and they denied it. Spent more than $225 and still didn't get orignal complaint addressed. Was told they had their best tech working on it. Took car straight to another ford dealer 20 miles away who worked on the car for 35 minutes before diagnosing that the PCM (computer) was indeed bad. I would have rated them with no stars but it wouldn't let me. I also saw that another poster noted that the millenium warranty was a scam, it is indeed and is strictly designed as a back end profit for the finance office. If you truly want a warranty you can now buy it directly from ford online. It does not have to be done when you buy the vehicle. If you have the millenium call them and cancel it and get a refund for your remainder of the warranty, and then apply it to the ford direct warranty. Also don't let them charge you for window etching or wheel/tire insurance. they are all scams for finance to make money. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. I walked in and was immediately greeted. Handed over the keys and my vehicle was on its way. Living in Frisco, I'm going to admit something I'm not too proud of. I actually attempted to have my vehicle serviced at Autonation in Frisco. Let's just say, what a disastrous attempt that turned out to be. I walked in and stood there for a good 5 minutes and was NEVER acknowledged. There had to be at least "4" service managers behind their computers. I felt a little rude, but I had to interrupt two employees talking in order to be recognized. Let's just say, didn't have the vehicle serviced there, nor will I ever. First off, buying a car is never a fun experience. However, last week we bought my wife a new 2015 Ford Escape. BEAUTIFUL CAR! The folks at Sam Pack's in Carrollton provided us with the best car buying experience either of us have ever had. I called in advance to make sure I had everything I would need before we got to the lot. I also wanted to make sure the Escape we saw online they still had on the lot. I spoke with Jared on the phone, he was very friendly and answered all my questions. He confirmed they still had the car and he said he would pull the keys so it would still be there when we came later that afternoon. When we arrived at the lot we immediately noticed that Jared had pulled the car up to the sales office and it was just sitting there, waiting for us. Awesome first impression! We were greeted in the parking lot and taken to Jared's desk while they paged him. After a few minutes Jared showed up and took us out to look at the car, he gave us the keys and told us to take it for a spin while (I assume) he wrapped up what he was currently working on. When we got back Jared took us around the Escape and made sure we were familiar with the vehicle's highlights and answered any questions we had. We went back in the sales office, Jared took our trade-in around to get it appraised. After all that was said and done and we got our final price settled it was off to meet with Brandon the finance guy. Brandon was also great! He was honest, and really seemed to care about taking care of us and answering any of the business questions we had for him. He was able to get us financed with a deal we were happy with but without any of the usual high pressure sales stuff. We did end up adding an extended warranty, but Brandon took the time to answer all our questions and make us feel comfortable before we signed on the dotted line. The icing on the cake, and what made me decide to sit down and write this - my first ever Yelp review - we just received a $50 check in the mail from Sam Pack's. Apparently we overpaid a "document fee" or something. This is a minor thing, but also a really big thing. It would have been so easy for Sam Pack's to totally overlook and/or ignore this and we would have been none the wiser. Instead, they found the error and remedied it right away, the result being them sending us $50. Sam Pack's took care of us and made the whole car buying experience as good as it can be. What more is there to say? I would have no problems going back to them when it's time for me to get a new car. Nor would we have any reservations about recommending them to our friends and family. We walked out of there with a good deal and they took great care of us! Finally got a hold of her on cell listed on her card, she said shed call me in 20 mins. After almost two hours I called Back and asked if she was the only one that could help me with this appointment setting and was transferred and Alexandra picks up and says i caught her, by now its 2:15pm im in Mesquite and she says if i can take it in quick they can set me up. Other then that everyone was great once again Alex and Valentino were very helpful and professional, even the courtesy drivers gave great service when i finally took the truck in this morning!!! read more

I went to Sam Pack in Carrollton to test drive one of the used cars they had available. Bryan Smith was my sales consultant and he did a fantastic job. I ended up buying brand new since they gave me such a good price relative to the used one. Bryan followed up after the sale to make sure I was enjoying the car and see if I needed anything. Greg Spanko almost sold me a van. I ended up getting cold feet and decided to lease, but had such a good experience working with Greg I thought I should write my first ever review. Greg took extra pictures and emailed them, worked with me on price, spoke with me several times throughout the day as I made my decision and remained good natured even when I decided not to buy.
