Beware!! I took my truck in because it kept losing power and shutting off. 2013 raptor. I was told that my fuse panel was fried and that a short burnt my fuel pump slot completely out. They (Moody) told me that they could have it repaired by end of day for $450.00. Well I showed up at 5pm and they said the part didn't arrive and that it would be 4 hours after that once it did arrive. I decided to bring it back another time when they could fit it in. After realizing what I was told ( completely burned out and needed replaced) I realized that it wouldn't run if that was the case. So after inspecting the panel for myself I saw it was only a fuse and not the panel. All in it cost $2.00. Do yourself a favor and go to an honest dealership. read more

My experience was with Don Wagner and man I wish he could be my lifetime salesman. He was patient and down to earth, nothing about him screams car salesman. I have purchased a F250 from this dealership just under a year ago. The truck has made a noise in the front - have sent it back multiple times and no one seems to figure it out. Service guy told me that he needed to send it to a 4by 4 shop because of the lift. I told him that it had no lift on it- He still said it had to go to 4/4 shop. Can never get a loaner when I drop my truck off. Can't get the Service guy to call me back. They have now had my truck since last Tuesday and still can't tell me what's wrong. When I purchased the truck they did not pay off the correct amount and was overcharged by bank. The dealership finally cut me a check for the difference. Had an appointment scheduled. Showed up early, was met at my truck as soon as I pulled up, immediately impressed with the service. But was then left to stand there for 15 minutes without anyone helping me, with 5 employees just staring at me doing nothing because the service employee who called and verified my appointment was unavailable at the time. So they just left me there to stand there and look like an idiot. So after 15 minutes I left. Then of course after I leave, they call me back to try and apologize with a free oil change. Had a sales manager named Raj Patel try to offer me 3,000 for my mustang when I came in person, then called me a couple of weeks after I left and said he can get 7,000. So what changed? I purchased a new 2017 Ford Edge from Sam Pack's Five Star Ford in Carrollton recently. While I got a car in the end, the sales process was filled with dishonesty throughout. Originally, I contacted Sam Pack's Five Star Ford because they had the exact vehicle I wanted. I negotiated a price on a specific VIN number and then came in to drive and purchase the car. When I got to the dealership, I immediately noticed that the vehicle presented to me was not the VIN I had inquired about. When I let the sales person know this after the test drive, he appeared flabbergasted that he could not bait and switch me. I then demanded the vehicle with the matching VIN, they came back to me and said that Mrs. Pack was driving it and it was not available for sale (yes, Mrs. Pack, the wife of the owner). Any dealership I've ever dealt with would have had the car at the dealership, in the detail bay, within the hour. After going back and forth a bit, I left the dealership only to find out that when I submitted my credit application, they had authorized THREE separate banks to pull my credit when I had only authorized them to allow Ford Motor Credit to pull the credit because the deal (and price) had previously been contingent upon financing with only with FMC (so why would you try other banks?). In the end, I purchased a different Ford Edge model than the one I had already decided on and I purchased it from Sam Pack's Five Star Ford only because I couldn't tolerate any further credit pulls on my credit and thus they forced me into buying a vehicle from them, at a higher price than I wanted. Just after delivery of the vehicle, I noticed a sheet metal "popping" sound coming from the passenger door. Upon further investigation, the door was missing a nut that attached the door to the door hinge (quality work!). While this was not a difficult fix, when I called in to Sam Pack's Five Star Ford to have the issue resolved, I was told that it would be "a couple of hours" if I came in to get the nut put on the (brand new) car I had just purchased from them. Disgusted, I hung up and drove to my local Ford dealer who had not been involved in the transaction. There, the service manager made sure to get a nut and put it on the car himself and the entire process took 5 minutes and they hadn't even sold me the car! I found a car I was looking for on carfax.com, which was 1 owner and had all the features I wanted. I called and spoke to Bobby who confirmed the price. I spoke to Justin in finance who secured my financing, warranty and gap, and beat the rate I had at my other bank where I was pre-approved. They didn't negotiate, which is a plus in my opinion. They tell you what the price is and if you like it great, if not that's ok also. This was honestly the BEST experience I have ever had - which is saying a lot. I have 9 years dealership experience from Admin to Finance and this is the first vehicle I have purchased where I have not worked where I bought the car. As an employee you learn what to expect, so my expectation was high, as a customer I was highly impressed. I had visited 4 other dealerships and didn't click with the sales people, or finance people. A few had me there hours going back and forth negotiating the price with their managers. It was refreshing to have an experience like I would have had at my prior employer where I walk in they tell me what I want to know and I can accept it or walk out. I will be back when I am ready to buy again, and I will be recommending them to others. Ryan - is new to the industry and did a great job being personable and professional. He went over the car in detail and really made me feel good about my decision. He even came back out when he saw me still sitting there trying to figure out the nav system to help me. Bobby - I called in exasperated from leaving another dealer, he was patient and kind even though I may have been a little huffy because of my last experience. He is a great sales manager, and went the extra mile. Justin - He went above and beyond to make sure I had a great financial experience. I purchased a pre owned car at the Carrollton location three weeks ago and after over 10 phone calls and many promises, I still have not received any paperwork at all regarding my purchase. It sounds unbelievable, I know, but becasue they had to FedEx the docmunet sto my husband in another state, I did not leave with any copies of the documents. They continue to say that they will send them, yet we are still waiting. The finance manager cornered me in his office, lied to me about the final price of the car and would not accept my decision to decline the extended warranty until I caught him trying to raise the price of the car in order to cover the cost of the warranty. When I questioned him, he said, "Well, you didn't think we'd give it to you for free, did you??!" Do not purchase a vehicle from this sleazy business. read more

Bought my used car here but have done all subsequent work myself, oil changes, air filter repair work. Well I now have a misfire in the engine and it periodically throws the check engine light, so i diagnose myself (not running hot, running great when light is not on) and the only engine code points to Cylinder #4. I know the cost of the parts from Amazon, but because of a problem with this model when changing the spark plugs, I decide to get a price to get just the plugs replaced, I didn't want the coil packs (which were going to be $110 extra each! So the spark plugs by themselves are...almost $700 which is totally outrageous to replace 8 spark plugs, but because of the design flaw with the engine (and ford already paying out for a class action lawsuit for the spark plugs snapping in the engine) I am thinking it is probably best. Then the guy starts with, "I can't do it without also paying for a diagnostic $125, you might need a new engine, you have 160,000 miles your engine could be shot".....really without looking at it you are making that claim? Are the Ford Engines that bad, that when they need new spark plugs the engine may need replacing? I know you guys are in the business to make money, and if you want to do it at the cost of your reputation while fulfilling the very stereotypical image of a service center good on you! I won't be held to ransom where the cost of bad design is passed onto your customers and you upset to meet goals and targets. read more

Just had the worst attempted car buying experience of my life and I have purchased 11 cars over the years. Went to Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Carrollton after dealing with Damon online. He called today to say he could match the price we were quoted at another dealership. When we got there with the intention of buying we were poorly greeted, not asked if we wanted a beverage and told to wait. After waiting a full hour, we were told they couldn't find the car we were quoted but they had another car in white to show us (we wanted black). In the meantime we dealt with Rueben who could not get us close to the other dealer's quote. They pulled the car up and it wasn't even white. It was a gold color that looked horrible. We said no, they said "see ya" and we left after wasting an hour and a half of our time. Went to North Richland Hills dealership and got the car for $500 less than they originally quoted which $1500 less than Carrollton. I'll never darken the door of Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Carrollton again. read more

I've been taking my truck for standard oil and tire rotations here since I bought it. This time I needed my brakes done, my transmission re-tuned and fuel injectors cleaned. After 3 weeks and no phone call I decided to call them and there replay was oh your truck has been ready. It would of been nice to have someone leave me a message to come pick up my truck. Anyways the next day my check engine light came on and its never been on since I owned it. Then the transmission started slamming into 2nd gear and I started to get a weird noise from the front tire. Then next morning I had an early appointment and planned on taking my truck back to 5 star after, but when I got on the highway the entire truck started to shake and vibrate. It literally sounded like my tire was going to fall off! That's exactly what almost happened cause they didn't tighten all the bolts down when putting my tire back on! Now my custom rim is destroyed and after another 5 days I'm still without my truck and haven't heard from them regarding all the issues with my truck. I wouldn't let the fancy building fool you cause these guys are clueless and the customer service SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! read more

Do not go here for collision services! It took a month to get the fender replaced and painted and a new wheel on our 98 Expedition. The technician went out of town so they put it on hold for over a week. When we went to pick it up (they didn't call us, we drove by and saw our truck outside) the trim was falling off the side and they had painted on our brand new tire. They had to keep it three more days. We asked for them to provide a rental or pay part of our rental since they did such bad work but they refused. The "manager" even questioned if our tire was new! How can a "manager" at a collision center not tell a tire is new? DO NOT GO HERE unless you want shoddy work and bad attitudes! You'd think they were doing us a favor, not getting paid for a service. read more

I bought a used CVPI from Sam Pack. I liked the way it looked, I liked the mileage and the sales rep I talked to, Mario Penate, was really pleasant to work with. He assured me that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected from top to bottom and that no serious issues existed with it beyond normal wear and tear for a used vehicle, which I don't have a problem with. Then things went downhill right after I signed the papers. First, it took them several weeks to get the spare tire that the vehicle came with according to the ad, and they fought it every bit of the way. Then the transmission sprung a leak six months after I bought it. Now, I'm not unreasonable, gaskets wear out, but when it turned out that it wasn't just a leak but a worn out transmission with serious slippage that needed a complete rebuild, I wasn't too pleased since that's not the sort of thing that a halfway competent mechanic would miss if he was "inspecting" a vehicle prior to selling it. So I called Sam Pack's Ford and they assured me that they were ever so sorry and that they would get back to me the very next day to work something out. They never did. They had my money, after all, so why would they? $2,500 later after a rebuild of a tranny that had "no problems", I know for a fact that I'll never do business with that dealership again. The only consolation is that they, thanks to their behavior, missed out on a full body repair after a hail storm that I took elsewhere to a shop that actually cares about their customers. I wouldn't recommend this pack of liars to anybody looking to purchase a vehicle, new or used. read more

I had my 2010 mustang in the shop getting some damages repaired from a wreck. After picking up my repaired vehicle. I drove it down the street and immediately noticed something wasn't right. So i brought it back in and left it for 3 days. They contacted me stating that everything was fine on the vehicle and they couldn't duplicate the sounds i was hearing from my suspension. Took it somewhere else and found out the rear differential was broken and needed to be replaced. Got Sam's Packs to replace it and im still having issues with the cars suspension. Sam Pack 5 Star Ford Carrollton: Yesterday I took my 2013 Escape in to be serviced & have a recall from October 2015 taken care of. I made the appointment online the day before & clearly stated "service & recall". My e-mail address & cell number was on the appointment. My daughter received an e-mail & telephone call to confirm my appointment - how they got her info is totally a mystery. She gave them my cell number & I was called by someone from the service dept. I was told they would need to keep my vehicle at least half of a day to do the recall. When I arrived for my appointment the service person greeted me outside, I followed him in to complete the paperwork & almost had the door slammed in my face as he was walking ahead of me. Then I was told they didn't have the parts for the recall - why didn't he ask me which recall I needed when he called to confirm the appointment? When I went to pick up my vehicle the coupon had been removed from my invoice, the lady that appeared to be "in charge" honored the discount. When I asked where my vehicle was, she said "it's out front" in a very unprofessional manner. I complained about not having the parts for the recall & was told I had to "take that up with someone else'" by this same rude cashier. When I went outside to find my Escape it was no where in site, I went back in & the service person walked out with me & pointed to a row of white SUV's (mine is white also) parked in front & he said "it's over there". I wandered some more in the cold air without success. I went back in to get help, the service person walked out & pointed to an entirely different area on the side of the building where a row of vehicles was parked. When I complained to him about not letting me know about the recall ahead of time, he said they had so many recalls he couldn't possibly keep track of all of them - poor communications to say the least! I purchased my Escape from Sam Pack Carrollton & was running around in circles for about 6 hours with a salesman that possibly wasn't trained as much as he should be. I've taken my vehicle to Sam Pack in Lewisville, Sam Pack in Plano, I also used a Ford dealer in Palm Coast, FL, everyone of these facilities were professional, friendly, efficient & treated their customers with the utmost respect.
