This was my second time going to the coffee shop, and both times I really liked it. This time I got a pistachio latte that was $8.10 excluding tip and taxes. In general, they have really good cakes and pastries and also croissants that are really popular. There's a decent number of tables inside. A lot of people there were working solo or they also have a barstool area with a lot of computers. So it's definitely a place for people to work. We went around 3:00 pm, but it was rather filled in terms of the tables. They also have two tables outside and a restroom inside. The service was really good, and the general ambience was good, especially if you want to come here to work for long hours. Definitely within walking distance to many of the major tech companies in the area, so you probably need to come here at a good time to find a spot. But usually, we didn't have a problem going there and sitting outside, though it can be a little chilly. read more

We were looking for a night cap & came across this cute cafe that serves Yemeni coffee & tea. We got the Adeni chai paired with a cake & it was delicious. Service was great, they're a new spot so of course there were some minor hiccups, but they gave us a cake on the house as an apology which we appreciated. Great cafe located in the heart of the Financial District. The interior was very modern and clean. Plenty of seating inside and outside and was a nice place to have a conversation with friends over a snack. The honeycomb was recommended by their staff and it was a bit hit. It had cream cheese inside with honey on the side, a perfect balance between sweet and salty. Sana'a has long been one of my go-to cafes when meeting up with a friend or two to catch up. There are some larger tables in the corner, I think, but I find that the setup of the cafe with its smaller tables and counter seating seems more optimal for pairs or smaller groups. I like that Sana's always feels "comfortably busy" when I visit, meaning it's not empty by any means, but it's also not so full that I have been unable to find somewhere to sit. They also have wifi so it can be a good working environment for a relatively short period of time. In terms of their food and drink offerings, TBH I haven't found a "favourite" drink to get here, since the style of coffee is grainy at the end and some of their other options are a little too sweet for my preferences, but perhaps I just haven't found the right drink yet. Besides that though, the pastries and other items in the display have always been excellent - I find the baklava or milk cakes are especially good complements to a hot beverage here. read more

I was looking for a coffee shop open near an event I was going to near Union Square/Fidi in SoMa, and Sana'a popped up and it was new! There were signs around the block on the sidewalk alerting pedestrians to their soft opening too so it was easy to find. I came here to do some work and read before the event and it was pretty full inside--they have a big space with some pretty decor and lots of outlets too. There's outdoor seating as well but it was empty probably because it was pretty windy. I loved my Sana'a iced latte--it had cinnamon and spices like cardamom and clove. Great spot for Turkish and Yemeni coffee, but they offer regular coffee as well. Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and I also enjoyed the baked goods. When I went around 5pm, they didn't have many options left because they'd sold out of some! They look and taste good. Okay this experience is strictly off the taste of these drinks! My little sister brought this to me! They visited Sana's Cafe and said it was a cute and clean place that has parties and drinks! They got me the passionfuit mango I believe and it was SOOOOOOO bomb!!! Now that purple drink was dragonfruit and some other flavor but I will be going back for that one! DUBAI CHOCOLATE, no shade I Loveeeee their other pastries, love their ambience inside their cafe, and their cultural treats. HOWEVER, their dubai chocolate was an easy 3/10. I felt like the Katafi mixed with pistachio was very bland and didn't have enough pistachio cream. Not to mention the size of the bar was very small! and the chocolate used wasn't tasty, I'm not sure if it was dark chocolate they used, but everything was very bland. Their Adeni Chai pots are warm, flavorful, and a small one is a generous pour for 2 people. The service is friendly and swift. Usually the music in this location isn't that loud, so a couple of times I have had catch-up work meetings in there, it's easy to hear each other. Their latte/coffee has cardamom & other spices in them, a refreshing take on coffee, am a fan. They have saffron cakes, a unique offering, a must try. There's enough seating, I have usually found a spot without wait, around 3-ish. Give yourself time to find parking if you are driving. We were just out on our weekly Sunday cafe working night date, and we happened to bring our SERVICE DOG inside. We have brought him inside before, and there was no issue. He has his documents and everything. He accidentally spilled his water bowl, and water got everywhere on the floor. When I went to go tell an employee, she sent a girl who was extremely rude about the situation. I have worked in customer service, and understand feeling frustrated at having to clean up after customers. I was extremely apologetic, and wanted to clean it up myself but didn't have that option. She came over angrily, and took it out on us. "Dogs aren't allowed in here it's policy" I said "he's a service dog" and she replied angrily "doesn't matter. He's not allowed in here." And didn't even give me the chance to explain anything. There was a miscommunication, and apparently she thought it was pee that was on the floor. I told them it was from his water bowl, and their demeanor completely changed. The way we were kicked out over some spilled water, and the fact that they have a sign that says "except service dogs" was crazy, and the sign is a lie. NOT SERVICE ANIMAL FRIENDLY. IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY THAT REQUIRES ONE: DONT COME HERE. We are very nice people, and do not think this simple accident warranted that kind of reaction. She was incredibly rude to us, and we will not be coming here again. Also their coffee is watery. Too much ice. So be warned. read more

Yemeni cafés such as Sana'a had good coffee and chai selections compared to regular old school coffee. Their baked goods were what I couldn't get enough of. The moment I dreamt of any Yemeni cafés, the more my spirit drags me back to have another cup of Adeni Chai and different pastries. I've never seen Middle Eastern cafés until I get to see Delah. The interior of Sana'a was similar to how exquisite Delah and Haraz was as well as its service last year. Would definitely come back for another round of their best chai while laying back to watch other customers socialize in a positive way. read more

It is difficult to capture the ambiance of Sana'a Cafe. It is similar to the feeling of coming home after a long day. This place has a calming effect. When you walk in, the lights are dimmed and the workers smile like they have been waiting for you. We ordered our classic: a Sana Latte. The texture was creamy and light but the flavors smelled of cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and more. I sat with a friend and chatted for hours; it felt so natural. We snuggled up on the large couch like chairs and shared lovely dessert. The cafe is lovely but be cautious, the parking situation is not great because it's San Francisco. But it is a walkable area near SOMA. Therefore, if you are ever in the area please support this business! read more
