We are big fans of Crave's happy hour and atmosphere so when we heard their owner was opening a Greek restaurant we had to try it. This is my second meal here and still great. Cooked veggies in a warm pita covered in hummus and feta with Taziki sauce-it'll leave you happy, full, and in need of a nap! The fries are thick cut which I am not a fan of but to each their own. Hubs got the gyro combo platter which he said was phenomenal. The spanakopita was delectable! Very filling. Pita is warm and thick, hummus is pretty typical. I would recommend this place, we're so happy to have a local spot serving Mediterranean fare, much needed. read more

I love this place because the ingredients are sooo good and it tastes so good without feeling super heavy or greasy. Best Greek restaurant in the north shore. I ordered a veggie pita ( filled with a ton of amazing roasted veggies ) and my friend ordered the regular pita. Everything was sooo good. Also, order a side of the lemon rice soup and stick it in your fridge for the next day for lunch. Eat it with a few oyster cracker or saltines. You won't regret it. read more

Santori Grill - Mequon Market We were looking for some place new to have dinner last week and went into the Mequon Market as we had not been there since it opened. After walking around looking at the available restaurants, we agreed that we were both in the mood for Greek and stopped in Santori Grill. It was a nice day and we thought we would sit on the patio in the sun, so the order was taken as a 'to go' by a very efficient and pleasant young lady. We were told it would be about 15 minutes for our order to be ready, which was correct. What we didn't know was that by asking to sit outside all of the food would be packaged in plastic containers and stacked in plastic bags. We could not find a recycling bin anywhere in the market, so we brought all of the plastic home for recycling. What a large waste it would have otherwise. Because it was written up as a take out order, all of the food arrived at the same time. We ordered the Fried Calamari, which was heavily breaded and tasted more like shrimp that anything. It was very greasy and the sauce for dipping was bland tomato sauce. We eat only a few pieces. It was not worth the $8.95 we were charged. I ordered the Gyro sandwich ($8.95), which was ok. The meat was bland, and it could be because the shop is new the grill top has not seasoned with any flavors to add to the meat. The bread was fine warmed nicely, nothing special. The Tzatziki was lifeless. It might have been plain yogurt for that matter, it lacked garlic or even a hint of cucumbers, dill or lemon. I also ordered Avgolemono ($1.00 - cup) which was again, plain, lacking the texture of any rice and gave the impression of being something warmed from a can of soup made in a factory kitchen. I eat only a few spoonfuls and was done. I've had much better elsewhere. My wife ordered the Chicken Souvlaki (1$5.95) which was served with a side of green beans. The chicken was ok, again, pretty bland and nothing to shout about. The beans on the other hand were a mess. The entire bottom of the to-go plate was just a lot of juice from the beans, which made the chicken taste like the beans. Some salt and pepper helped a bit, but not much could be done. With a bottle of Mythos beer ($4.50) and two glasses of wine($13.00) the bill totaled at $52.35. Reading the other reviews, we must have caught them on a very bad evening. Hands down, best spanakopita I've ever had! Super creamy and delicious. Gyros are also very good. Highly recommend giving it a try.

I visited here last week, still early in the opening of the market. As such, all the shops and cafes were busy. I stopped here since it reminded me of our 2010 trip to Santorini. I tried the Souvlaki sandwich. Since first floor seating was filled, we went upstairs. The sandwich was very large, moist and flavorful. My guest had the gyro and found it delightful. The seating upstairs is cavernous, with a cacophony of human, mechanical, and construction noises. So if you want a quiet conversation, consider the patio areas. read more

We had dinner at Santorini's Grill in the Mequon Market tonight. Both of us really liked our meals. I had the chicken souvlaki dinner. And my husband had the traditional meat souvlaki. Salads were great; lots of olives chunks of feta and fresh tomatoes. Meats were so flavorful accompanied with Pita bread and the Greek yogurt. Veggies stewed in tomato sauce reminded me of dinners we had in Greece. Even the potatoes were delicious. We will return! read more

I am dreaming about the chicken souvlaki. Like seriously craving it. The Tzatziki sauce is SO great and flavorful. I would highly recommend ordering more on the side because you will want to dip everything on your plate in it. Let's break it down. The chicken is juicy and flavorful without being overly done. The pita "holds up".. and the sauce.. did i mention how amazing it is? May be one of my new favorite places for "fast casual" or take out. I love this spot. The fries with the Greek sauce is awesome. I had the pork sandwich the first time and then the streak sandwich today. The wait takes a bit as it's cooked to order. First time eating at Santorini Grill and it has by far the best Greek food I have had in Wisconsin. Their white sauce has the best authentic flavor that you can find. I had the filet shiskabob and it was cooked perfectly and the taste was great. The Greek potatoes were cook perfectly and had great seasoning, the green bean were flavored perfectly with some tomato sauce and seasoning , the Greek salad again was great and very good dressing.. They have saganaki which we had and again was delicious along with pita bread and the white sauce the taste is fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try their gyros and lamb chops. If your in the mood for great Authentic Greek food you have to give them try. read more

I have been wanting to try the market and I am so happy we did. My husband want gyros for dinner and this is what came up as closest to us and it was well rated on Yelp so I said let's go here. I was over joyed when I saw where it was located. Finally!! So happy this was our first experience here because it was fabulous! The food was fresh and generous portion sizes. Was really hoping this would be better since it's the only place I know of to get a gyro near me. Maybe they were just having an off night. Gyro meat was a disappointment. I did take out and live very close by but slices were cold, hard and quite dry. Almost as if they had been sitting around for a while. Greek salad was okay but not much flavor to the vinaigrette and seemed to have been tossed well before my order because the lettuce came soggy. Fast service and located inside the Mequon Public Market. The food is just okay, you will not be amazed. Also on the pricier side, especially when you can get gyros for cheap. I learned that Frank is from the island of Santorini (hence the name) and knows how to throw it down. Best lamp chops I've had in years and the sides are tremendous. I have had a lot of Greek food in my day, and this is at the top of the list! The spanakopita was so delicious and flavorful. Packed with spinach and the right amount of cheese, it melted in my mouth. The Greek Beet Salad was also a wonderfully light summer night hit. To top it off we split the Gyro Combination Platter. The lamb was wonderful and well seasoned. The tzatziki was so fresh and was the perfect compliment for both the lamb and the chicken souvlaki. We also ordered a side of the Greek potatoes and they were wonderful. Not too oily like other places and well seasoned. What a great addition to Mequon! read more
