    Repaired Garage Disposal
    Kay W.

Scott Harrison plumbing and heating is the number one plumbing service and the Long Beach and surrounding area. Please ask for the best technicians that are Alex & Javier This amazing company has repaired my shower and today came to the rescue to fix my garbage disposal. I initially assumed that I needed my garbage disposal replaced, but this honest company did some troubleshooting and only needed to remove something that was stuck in the garbage disposal. Any other company would have replace the garbage disposal just to get a quick buck but these guys are the most professional and honest plumbing company I've ever used. If you're looking for an honest company that is truly professional and provides excellent customer service, please look up Scott Harrison plumbing and heating 10644 Rose St, Stanton, CA 90680 (714) 695-5566

    Damage done by the plumbers
    Mao T.

I used Scott's services once before for a leak in an exterior pipe at my home. I liked their services so when I discovered a leak coming from one of the walls in my garage, I called them again. I'm not sure what happened between the first time they came out and the second, but the quality of their service was absolutely horrible. We were sent Jaymes and his assistant. They arrived sometime around noon and started searching for the leak. Jaymes was SO convinced that the leak was coming from the second story so he cut a hole in my living room ceiling. That was fine since the flooring in the living room was completely damaged at this point so it was a logical cut. He didn't find anything in the ceiling but then came to the conclusion that the water was likely coming from the master bathroom toilet. He said it was necessary to remove the toilet so I approved. It turned out, nothing was leaking there but the flange was not installed correctly so he ended up fixing that for us. All this was fine but it seemed like Jaymes wasted so much time running around the house sort of scatter brained and flustered. He had his assistant keep searching for the source of the leak and told him to cut a hole in my garage wall next. He somehow forgot that the garage walls are fire rated so there's a sheet of plywood behind it. His assistant didn't know either so he was stumped on why it wasn't an easy cut. They were unable to cut the drywall and just left a mess behind in the end. While all this was going on, they had the water line running so the leak started to seep through the garage wall again. The assistant and I saw where it was coming from and let Jaymes know. I'm not sure why but he didn't cut anything in that area to look for the leak. After he ran around frantically some more, Jaymes told me that they needed to take a lunch but they would come back in about an hour. I ended up leaving as well since there was no plumbing at the house. At around 7:30pm, I finally got a call from Jaymes to tell me that they were unable to find the source of the leak and that they needed Scott's help and would reschedule to come back another day. I did not hear from the office the following day so I reached out to set up another appointment. I was told that Scott was unavailable until the following week. We wouod be without plumbing for more than four days so my boyfriend and I decided to search for the leak ourselves. My boyfriend got a stethoscope and we turned the water on. About 45 minutes later, we found the leak coming from the same place the assistant and I originally thought it was leaking from. We removed the cabinet ourselves and cut the piece of drywall. What took Jaymes over seven hours, we found in less than an hour. Neither of us have any kind of plumbing experience. The next day, I called Scott's office to cancel the next appointment since there was no need to search for the leak anymore and was treated with a condescending tone. I was told that Jaymes is one of their top technicians (really??). Then they charged me close to $2,000 anyways for work that was not completed. They completely destroyed my walls and overcharged me for the work on the toilet, yet someone who no plumbing experience found what they couldn't find after 7 hours of searching. I would be pretty embarrassed if I were them. Can't say I will ever work with them or recommend them to anyone ever.

Thanks to yelp, I found Thomson Hvac The tech and I thought it should be a simple fix. He inspected my entire system, diagnosed the problem, and quoted the job. We moved forward with the fix, and it worked fine, and then it didn't. After a few more visits, and some more parts and tinkering, it finally started working properly. Although it was a strange and difficult situation, they stuck to it until the problem was resolved. The techs Danny and Mark went above and beyond to make sure everything was good. Another thing to add, the way the company communicated back and forth with me was great. They answered every call and every text. Most of the time I spoke with Stacey and she was great. If you're looking for an honest and professional company, this is it.

My mother recently engaged a service provider for routine maintenance on her air conditioning unit,…read morewhich included the installation of a new Honeywell thermostat. Subsequent to this service, she has reported that the air conditioning is not effectively cooling the premises, with only the fan operating. I advised her to adjust the thermostat to a lower setting. Given her advanced age of 90, her discomfort with the warm air became increasingly pronounced. Today, in collaboration with my brother-in-law, we investigated the issue. We observed that while the unit appeared to be functioning, it was not producing cool air, despite the outdoor fan operating correctly. During our investigation, we contacted the service provider, Thomson. A representative stated that only the thermostat had been replaced and that a service technician could be dispatched for a fee of $159, suggesting a potential wiring issue. Upon reviewing the Honeywell thermostat instructions and wiring diagram, we identified that the thermostat had been incorrectly wired to the "W" terminal. After rectifying this wiring error, the air conditioning unit resumed normal operation, producing cool air. I subsequently contacted Thomson for clarification regarding the initial service. Their response repeatedly referenced a previous replacement 14 months prior. While their online reviews are predominantly five-star, our experience suggests a lack of professionalism. This incident raises concerns about the necessity of recommended services and the quality of workmanship, potentially indicating errors or intentional oversights during the initial installation.

J Martin Indoor Air Quality provides exceptional customer service and superior quality…read moreworkmanship!!! We were referred to J Martin by a colleague of ours, and it was the BEST decision that we have made when it comes to HVAC. We are writing today to both share our past and present experience and to praise Jared Martin and his team, whose knowledge and dedication were absolutely invaluable in the service process. For years, we were constantly making repairs to our AC systems. Every summer we would be stressed out about the AC no longer functioning, so we would set the temperature higher than a comfortable level as to not strain the system and in hopes that it would not fail. But every summer something would go wrong and we would go days waiting for a temporary repair. If the upstairs AC went out, we would bring a mattress downstairs and sleep downstairs for days. Thankfully we have 2 separate systems to be able to do this. After 10 years of stretching out our old systems and constantly stressing on these components in our home that are meant to bring comfort, we were blessed to have discovered J Martin. Upon our first contact with J Martin in September of 2025, we had the pleasure of speaking with Ruby over the phone. She is such a kind and sweet person with phenomenal customer service. When we first began looking into repairing our Air conditioner, as with most people, we were a bit overwhelmed. Ruby and the other customer service staff were easy to get in contact with and they scheduled us very quickly. She was extremely transparent with coordinating our requests. She scheduled an inspection for our non-functioning downstairs system and we were blessed to have Jesus Ochoa come to our home. He is an absolute Gem of a human being. He didn't try to sell us on a new system at first, but instead he simply educated us on how the systems work and what the deficiencies in our systems were. The coolant was sub-level, our ducts were undersized and our condenser and furnace were simply old. He informed us that he could fix it and provided the cost to repair the system, but we would run into these problems again in the future (as we had been for 10 years since we purchased our home). The fact that he educated us with things we never had knowledge of helped us to make the decision to just purchase a brand-new complete system. New condenser, ducts, furnace, Merv 13 air filter, etc. When it came down to the day of our install, we felt so comfortable with the lead installer Santiago Nunez and his team Chris and Frankie. They were so courteous, professional and polite. The install went SO smooth and they patiently answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. They did a great job of protecting our belongings during the install, including protecting our floors, carpets and clothing in our closet. Santiago, Chris and Frankie are the dream team! Last year we knew that we would eventually need to replace our Upstairs system as well sometime soon. We contacted J Martin again in June 2026 and Jesus showed up like a hero. We were already comfortable with his honesty and sincerity. He put together a system for us based on his knowledge of our home and we moved forward with a brand-new complete system. We were SO happy with the Lead installer Irvin and his crew Kevin, Oleyvo and Pablo. They were ALL extremely professional, kind and so considerate. Irvin and his crew went out of their way to make sure we were happy and they even did things pertaining to the system that they didn't even have to do!!! This new system is amazing. We got all of the components as with the previous system downstairs and in addition we got a new attic fan which helps a lot. J Martin also provides maintenance plans for AC and Heating systems as well. We purchased the plans for both of our systems and it is a valuable and necessary option for peace of mind. Shout out to Jared (Jr) for our last tune up!!! A/C repairs can be a very stressful and a scary process. Jared the Owner thoughtfully kept us informed and at ease every step of the way, and with the assistance of Jesus, Donny, Ruby, Satiago's crew and Irvin's Crew, they made the repair process an enjoyable experience. The company was never too busy to answer our questions, and promptly returned each of our phone calls. J Martin earned our trust and respect, and we will not hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family for their Heating and Air Conditioning needs. In addition, we will continue to speak highly of J Maritn because of our experience working with Jesus, Santiago, Irvin and their team. In closing, we would simply like to reiterate that J Martin team are valuable assets to their customers and company. We are confident that J Martin Indoor Air Quality will provide the same unparalleled level of service to their other customers and hope that their excellence is duly recognized.

We have a couple of visits left for the HERS inspection (along with Rebel Air staff) and the City inspection. Looking forward to a hopefully smooth closeout to this project. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I hate to leave this review, because everything had initially gone very well with our project. We spent well over $20k to do ductwork, put in a new HVAC system in and add a mini split. The initial visit with Johnny was wonderful and he did a great job explaining the work and provided a competitive quote compared the other estimates we received. He also provided great recommendations on additional registers/vents to balance out our airflow. Those were installed, but instead of the additional vent he originally suggested in our west-facing living room, one was added in the kitchen, making the kitchen very cold but the living room very warm. The work took longer than the original 5 days planned (about 7-8 days), but they did a great job cleaning up after. This was in March 2026. It is now July 2026. During the initial estimate, Johnny had indicated that they were happy to come by to adjust dampers as needed, and Vincent was very helpful with that although advised that we need to rotate the TDuct feeding into the kitchen/living room to better balance the airflow. The work wasn't done correctly to begin with, but we are ok with that solution if it helps the situation. When the HERS inspectors came to help finalize the City permit in April, they noted that none of the caulking was done. This morning we had an appointment from 8-10am to do the caulking and rotate the TDuct that I am taking time off of work to do. I called in past 9am to get a status update but I'm told a representative (Edwin) knocked and called but left when no one answered. I was in the back doing a bit of yardwork with my phone on me - several calls, including spam came in, but no voicemails. No videos from our doorbell or cameras out front show anyone coming to the door or up the walkway. I have texted Andrea to get a status update or reschedule and am waiting to hear back. Given that the initial interaction was positive, I hope that this is a fluke and a dropped ball with the miscommunication this morning and not a lack of interest on Rebel Air's part since they have already been fully paid. I hope to finalize this project soon and finish the permit with the City.
