I came here on a saturday morning for some quick breakfast with a friend and let me tell you this place hit the spot! The line was short and service was fast, so it's great if you're in a hurry or just really hungry! Lady Matcha: 4/5 soo good - it had a strong strawberry flavor while still being able to taste the matcha aspect and it came with an edible straw! the popcorn on top also added a nice crunch. I recently visited Semicolon Cafe to try their signature Tiramisu Latte. The latte itself was very sweet, perhaps even a tad too sweet, resembling more of a dessert than traditional coffee. If that's the indulgence you seek, then this is worth a try. What also caught my attention was the clean and well-designed study spot upstairs. Tucked away from the bustle of the ordering area, this space offers an good ambiance for reading. The music was a little loud and there are no power outlets which limits what you can accomplish and the time you can spend before running out of battery (personal problem my laptop's juice runs out after approx an hour). The only reason for the 3 star review is the lack of power outlets/and music volume which lowers this on my rank list for good study spots. They were out of 2 signature espresso drinks, so I got the Lady Matcha but it was insanely sweet (tastes like sugar water) and you can barely taste any matcha. My drink was also supposed to come with toppings, but I got none and he never mentioned anything about it, which was really disappointing since I paid for and personally love the flairs for my foodstagram (which they advertise and state on the menu that it comes with it) 3. I ordered one sandwich and waited 40 minutes. For it? No. Never got my order. At the 40 minute mark, I asked for a refund. They made 12 orders before me while I was standing there the whole time. A sandwich order came out earlier with a different modification so I thought it was mine, but the guy said it wasn't mine since that's not what I ordered. Nobody ended up picking it up, so whos was it then? Around the 25 min mark, he finally asked me what I ordered and told me the kitchen was working on it. 5 more orders came out (of sandwiches), he sees that and never checks up on it. When I asked for my refund, I told him I waited 40 minutes for 1 sandwich and he said he "couldn't find my receipt" on the POS system, so I literally had to find the invoice on my card to show him that he took my order and I saw the receipt come out as well. When he asked for my receipt, I said he never gave me one... would've appreciated a full refund for the massive inconvenience but of course he only refunds exactly the sandwich Overall terrible service, not attentive at all and overpriced mid drinks. Semicolon café was great. This is a 2 story cafe with plenty of seating and such cute decor. I got the lady matcha and it was delicious! I would definitely go back and get it again! This drink wasn't too sweet. The edible straw did make it a little more sweet. Next time, I'll probably get it and drink it without the edible straw. One note is that the bingsoo isn't always available. I wanted to get the mango one but it wasn't available that day. Got the matcha latte with oat milk for 6.25 and the taste was primarily oat milk taste, barely any matcha taste. The color was fairly light so that was the first sign it wouldn't be strong. My friend got the same order as me but requested less ice and was charged 50 cents more which doesn't make sense? We understand it is more drink but really we never went to any places that charged more for a request for less ice. Very creamy and sweet with shaved chocolate on top. These madlads even put a dollop of marscapone on the latte, which made me gasp. So I say this without exaggeration: this was the best tiramisu latte I have had in my life. Overall, do I think its worth a visit? Of course!
