Suuuper cute cafe with lots of seating. Would make for a great study/work spot! Their lady matcha was just as delicious as it looks and it came with an edible strawberry flavored straw - love the eco friendliness and the fact that it actually tasted really good too. Chicken sandwich was thicccccc. Absolutely loved the fluffy egg and crispy chicken combo with a flavorful spicy mayo-like sauce drizzled on top. Will definitely be returning! read more

Ordered take out during lunch. There are only 2 workers (given pandemic season) so they're quite stressed trying to create instagrammable sandwiches for hungry lunches. Overall solid sandwiches. 1. Bulgogi - flavor is good. The meat is sliced too thin and small for sandwich style and the eggs are too thick to savor the meat. 2. Grilled Chicken - standard spicy grilled chicken flavor. Stumbled up Semicolon Cafe via Yelp search and what a gem! Yelp never lets me down! Delicious sandwiches served all day -- they just nail it on the brioche bun. I can vouch for the BELT (bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato) and chocolate croissant. Beautiful interior, spacious two level seating, friendly staff, fast service. A great spot for a coffee, meet up or a bite. read more

Very fun sandwiches and creative beverages. Cute and minimalist inside with lots of spots to sit which is great, you could honestly bring a computer and work from here. Prices are reasonable if you think of this as a quick service brunch and not just a breakfast sandwich. The fun drinks are def on the sweeter side but I feel like thats clear when they give you a pink beverage LOL. Will be back! read more

Saw them open a location in Brooklyn I believe and when I saw that it came to murray hill, I knew I had to pay a visit. They had plenty of options for their sandwiches. We opted for the mushroom one and the lox one. The brioche was super toasty and warm and fresh so it was really enjoyable. The sauces in the sandwich were great and at least for the lox one, there was no issue with spillage. Since mushrooms carry water, the shroom sandwich was a bit harder to eat due to the amount of water there was. Despite that, it tasted great! We also got a tiramisu latte. It was on the sweeter side, which I prefer and was the perfect amount of caffeine to start the day. The interior is nice and has plenty of seating. They encourage no laptops on the weekend I believe which is a great way to be able catch up with friends in person/face to face without technology. Overall, really cute and quiet cafe and would definitely come back! read more

So glad Semicolon has opened a location in Murray Hill! I first tried this spot in Jersey City and loved it. There is a cafe in Chinatown called Sweet Moment that also sells Semicolon's sandwiches. Bulgogi sandwich really hits the spot and the price point is not too bad either. Highly recommend! Restaurant is nicely decorated inside and also super spacious esp for Murray Hill; I wish they opened the 2nd floor! It's a great spot to get work done. read more

i found out about this place on tiktok and have had it saved ever since. it looks absolutely stunning and the food visibly appealing to match. furthermore, reviews online boasted about the flavorful sandwiches and drinks. I had to try it, and stopped by for a strawberry matcha and bulgogi sandwich. The packaging was phenomenal, almost too good because the matcha was super hard for me to stick the edible strawberry straw into b/c the sticker was covering the hole. Ended up in a sticky matcha mess. the drink itself was pretty, but not very appealing after the pink and green colors mixed together. I liked the straw, but it really is just made of pink sugar and held up well compared to paper straws but also melted after a few minutes of drinking it. The drink was also super sweet and I guess that's what it's supposed to be, but just didn't seem super fresh / fruity. Also the strawberry popcorn was cute as a decoration but basically inedible after it touches the matcha as it disintegrates into the liquid. The sandwich was also good but the bread was too fluffy and filled my stomach up. I couldn't even finish the one slice of the bread! There was a lot of bulgogi for the sandwich but it did also get runny and messy quickly especially towards the bottom. The lettuce was a nice touch to balance it. The ambiance is.... questionable. They NEED better lighting especially if people want to do work here. The whole inside portion is creepy and dark (and just feels dirty/dusty), even though there were so many patrons inside of the cafe! I was so shocked. The inside seating area looks nothing like the welcoming sunny entrance and cashier area. I would definitely NOT recommend coming here to do work. read more

A super cute cafe for some quick eats. They have seating upstairs as well. The food itself is mediocre but not starstruck good. I do like how the buns taste a bit garlicy, it turns things up a notch. The shroom sandwich isn't good at all but we left it to eat last. Maybe it's tastes better when consumed immediately. One sandwich was enough to fill me up. Mind you it does get a little messy so make sure to take plenty of napkins on your way to your seat. I probably wouldn't come here again though. read more

Semicolon Cafe is a cozy, airy cafe offerring sandwiches, macaroons, and delicious coffee. The brick wall, marble barista station and variety of plants overhead makes for a minimalist yet comforting experience. It's nice to see there are about three floors where you can choose to reside. The music plays subtly in the background making it easy to focus. The Baristas are inviting and prepare your order within within a timely manner. You can't regularly come to Semicolon without trying one of their sandwiches as they are a main focus of the menu and overall marketing. I've never seen a bulgogi egg sandwhich at a coffee shop, but I am intrigued. The rich, tender crumb of the brioche bread combined with protein (ham, chicken, bulgogi, or egg) dressed in spicy Mayo makes for a substantial, tasty meal. I love this place! read more

The coffee is amazing. The pistachio latte is one of the best pistachio lattes I've ever had. But the pricing is pretty wild (over $8 for a hot latte and over $9 for an iced latte) and they are literally always out of / didn't make / not sure when they will have pastries. It's a coffee shop with primarily breakfast, idk why I can never find any pastries there for love or money. read more

Such a cute cafe! So glad Midtown East has a place like this! This spot has several indoor seating areas - fitting maybe one large group and multiple individual tables. This location wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon and their minimal staff was able to quickly make our orders for a group of 5. The bulgolgi sandwich was really good and even though it looks small, it was enough for lunch! Also had their mango bingsoo and it was delish!! Love that it's similar to the one at Sweet Moment! Definitely recommend for a lunch spot!! read more

The tiramisu latte was INCREDIBLE (so creamy, rich, with a scoop of whipped sweet mascarpone on top), but idk if it was worth the $8.25ish I paid ESPECIALLY when they don't offer wifi OR anywhere to plug devices in. All the plug spaces have a plate screwed on with no slots. Lol. If you don't offer either of those, you are not a cafe. You are a restaurant. Like another reviewer said, there should be a sign clearly posted in the front detailing this before people buy a drink & sit down to try and get work done. The woman with glasses & bangs who was working kindly told me the top floor is laptop free, but the bottom floor was available for laptop usage, so I moved downstairs to get some work done. The dude working was honestly really rude about me having my charger plugged into the ONLY available wall plug, since it was in the walkway. There's always a better way of phrasing things and how he spoke to me was NOT it. Like 0 customer service there lmao The latte was delicious, but the overall experience at Semicolon left a sour taste in my mouth. C'mon, even Felix Roasting Company offers wifi with *their* $9 lattes. read more

Super cute cafe :) I usually go to cafes for the drinks but this time I got the bulgogi sandwich which was really flavorful although a bit messy to eat. You can order to go, but if you order in you receive a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. My only complaint is that there were no outlets, but otherwise I'd love to visit again ! read more

I came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch since I work nearby. I ordered the bulgogi sandwich (bulgogi, egg, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on buttered brioche bread). I was given a buzzer to let me know when the order was ready to pick up at the counter. The place has a lot of seating on two levels and there's two restrooms (unheard of in midtown). None of the seats have backs though and are all stools so not very comfortable to stay long. The order did take some time, about 10-15 minutes since it's made to order. The bulgogi sandwich was delicious. The egg was very fluffy and the bulgogi was juicy. There was a lot of meat. The bread was buttery and crispy. The sandwich does fall apart eventually so it got messy at the end. I looked so attractive trying to eat this sandwich haha. I would come back to try their other sandwiches! read more

Came to this cafe during my lunch break because I was enticed by the look of the sandwiches! I ordered a green machine smoothie and the bulgogi sandwich. Both were pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of flavor in the sandwich. I do think the size of the sandwich is a little small considering it's price. I enjoyed the smoothie, but nothing stood out to me. My friend got the blueberry lemonade which was fizzy and tasted good; I think this drink would be pretty hard to mess up though. There was ample seating and I liked the vibe of the cafe. I would come back and try the other sandwiches, other drinks, and the shaved ice. read more

I got a caramel latte and the Lox sandwich. This is a good small meal if you wanted to have a food to go or small bite to go. The lox sandwich is great. The meal is fresh. I'm talking like fresh vegetables and salmon the sandwich I ordered. Im not sure why this is a hyped up place. The place has a simple and minimalist style. Unassuming entrance but inside is a bright, airy, high ceiling and green filled space that is very minimalist and aesthetically pleasing. There are plenty of seats both on the ground and upper floors. My boyfriend and I got each got an egg sandwich -- one bulgogi no vegetables and one spicy chicken.one was delicious, juicy, and spicy. The egg was so fluffy and buttery. Although it might look small at first glance, it is very filling and stuffed with goodness. The brioche bun makes it perfect. A cute cafe with plenty of seating on both the first and second floors. The drinks are delicious, including signature creations like a lady matcha, tiramisu latte, and pistachio latte. The sandwiches are also yummy and freshly made. A bit small in serving size to consider a full meal, but definitely a great spot to grab a bite, study, or hang out. I came to this place with my sister who is 8 month pregnant and her 6year old daughter. We really like this cute cafe from the outside and decided to get a coffee. But we were very disappointed and my sister was very upset at the stuff cuz they were very rude towards her. She was ordering drinks for us and snacks for her daughter, the cashier guy was extremely rude and was acting like he was giving us a favor taking our order. When we finished ordering and start paying he says rudely to my pregnant sister to hurry up and move faster since there was one guy standing behind us. He was rushing us for that one guy behind us and got all our order wrong! And the cafe was empty and not busy, maybe one or two people sitting inside. There was also another cashier working, taller guy, I had to complain to him about his rude coworker and that all our order got wrong and he end up fixing our order and drinks. This was absolutely the cutest cafe I've ever been to! I always thought if I drink looked too pretty, it means the taste is sacrificed but not in this case! Me and my friend ordered the lady matcha and tiramisu latte and they were both delicious! The lady matcha is a blend of strawberry puree and matcha with some pink popcorn on top. I would say the strawberry overpowers the matcha a little but the flavors worked so well together! I thought the tiramisu latte would be too sweet since there is condensed milk in it but it was actually not that sweet at all! It was super creamy and you can taste a lot of the coffee! Very cute cafe with korean style egg sandwiches and drinks. I've tried their strawberry matcha latte, mocha, bingsoo, and sandwiches. All were good but I mostly come here for when meeting friends to talk since they have a big space and have been able to get seats every time I come. They don't allow laptops out though which is probably why. The egg sandwich comes with a super fluffy egg and is super flavorful but can be messy to eat. read more

I tried their lady matcha after hearing about it. it's a matcha latte with strawberry milk/puree plus some pink popcorn on top. Before mixing I thought the matcha wasn't that good cause it was very bitter but it mixed well with the strawberry milk so ended being the perfect mix. Would recommend if you like matcha read more

One of the most aesthetic places I've been to in NY! This is a cool coffee shop with tasty Korean style sandwiches. I got the signature bulgogi sandwich. Everything about it was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and meshed very well together. The egg was super fluffy and had sweet corn in it. The bulgogi was sweet and salty. The brioche bun was buttery and crispy. I've come back here so many times that I've lost count. The sandwiches are to die for - I have tried almost every one on the menu and each one has that heavenly brioche bread and the perfect combination of fillings. The drinks are really great as well - the lattes and matcha aren't anything too standout in my opinion but they're solid. Absolutely loved this adorable cafe. It's definitely New York prices, but for the vibes and the food, I think it's overall worth it. The aesthetic of this place is very trendy and filled with plants which I loved! They have great seating options but heads up this is not a place you go to do work on a laptop if you need Wi-Fi. They don't have any. So it's definitely a place more for a quick bite or a meet up with a friend. I ordered the bulgogi sandwich which was absolutely delicious. I loved this spin on a typical breakfast sandwich. It did take a while for the food to come out, and it definitely seemed like they could use more help (but what place doesn't these days). Overall I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back for the breakfast sandwiches and to try one of their drinks!! read more

Super nice and friendly woman working at the register and making drinks!! My friend and I both got the shaved ice; I got strawberry and my friend got matcha. It was my first time trying bingsoo and I would so get it again!! The tartness of the strawberry went well with the sweetness of the ice. There's mochi pieces in well too that was a nice touch to balance out the sweetness. My friend thought the matcha was not too sweet and she loved the red bean and the mochi pieces too! read more

The bulgogi sandwich is really good! Loved the amount of meat included they did not skimp out, the egg is so soft and the bread is perfectly toasted too! For the drink i ordered the lady matcha, (strawberry matcha) was on the sweeter syrup lile side for me - also came with an edible strawberry straw which was a fun touch. Order came out very fast, it also so easy to find seating, there are two levels! Nice and clean inside, mostly filled with people doing work on laptops! Overall great spot! read more

I love this place! It's always been pretty calm with a bunch of seating whenever I come here. The sandwiches are a MUST in my opinion. I got the shroom sandwich this time and I literally can't pick my favorite part, the truffle sauce, the buttery brioche bread, the cheese pull...it was all so good! The sandwich is ok, nothing impressive, they packed the sandwich well so it's good for photo-ops. But I just don't get it. When I ordered a latte without ice, they charged me a dollar for "'no ice". That's fine, because without ice they probably have to fill it up with more milk or more coffee to make the cup full, so I am perfectly fine with that extra $1 charge. But they charged me a dollar for no ice AND gave me half a cup of the latte. So. You did not give me more milk, you did not give me more coffee, and you did not give me the ice (which I asked not to), but you charged me an extra dollar? For what? The oxygen that is floating on top of the latte? The oxygen tasted nice tho, better than both the latte or the sandwich, totally deserving that dollar. read more

Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space.
