Fremont's Sizzler looks newly renovated. Service and food quality are flawless! That's why my wife and I dine there often.

I used to love Sizzler, but this one was disappointing. I have been to others that are currently open and they are better, or maybe it was just the wait person who made it unpleasant. She didn't seem to want to help us at all and didn't give clear information, therefore we missed some of the free things. My husband and I are handicapped, and she didn't seem to want to help us make sure things were going to work for seating at all. The steaks were small and not very tasty, and we had to eat out because our home is under repair due to a water leak. If we had been ambulatory we may have enjoyed more, such as the salad bar, but we could not get around easily to get anything else. Not a great place for handicapped people, especially when the staff is irritated by having to help you in any way. We won't be going back to this one, some of the others we may try, but she should be replaced since she doesn't really think she should have to help people. Funny that she took the job. read more

Especially because it is a fairly big place so it looks like keeping it clean would be a challenge,but they keep it extremely clean. The food is great and my family usually loves coming here. However on this particular night the service was not up to par. We needed to call our "waitress" Karen over so many times because she would not come to check on our table herself. On top of that, she began giving us attitude when we called her over around the second time. Sorry we needed refills on or drinks, more of our unlimited shrimp, and new salad plates which was all included in what we paid. Word of advice to the waitresses and waiters out there, as someone who's worked in food service herself, you may not always be having a good day or like the customers you're working with, but part of being a professional worker is maintaining good customer service no matter what. tl;dr--Food is usually great but waitress Karen was rude and ruined our experience there tonight. read more

We have been going to this sizzler for 20 years now. And I'm sad to say we will never go back again. It used to be a really great place to eat. But it has changed over the past 5 years. Each year it has gotten worst. When you spend $19. on a steak and it taste like shit and had alot of fat in it. I only ate 1/2 of it. Of a family of 5, 3 us were very disapointed and on top of that they raised all the prices. And yea the overpriced salad bar was mostly good but not to all of us. My mother in law had that as a meal, The chicken was way over done. Thats what she always eats. I tryed a piece, It was like it was 4 days old. We won't be back. And on top of that if you want to take your leftovers home, They have nothing but a paper bag for you to put it in. No more take out containers. The person taking the orders didn't seem to be interested in taking the orders. Ordered a classic steak trio and got charged for it. But when I got back home, there were no shrimps. Don't order the chicken and broccoli Alfredo, the broccoli is way over cooked to the point that it is absolute mush. The chicken was burnt on the outside causing the whole dish to taste burnt in general. The portion is significantly smaller compared to other dishes here. read more

Same old Sizzlers. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. Is there a term that falls in between "Meh" and "Alright"..?? That would describe this particular Sizzlers. The staff were helpful and efficient. I ordered mixed veggies with my steak and received a baked potato instead. I ordered the Rib Eye? Whatever the most expensive 14oz Steak $21 is? It was pretty good. Moist, tender, had some fat. I ate half my Steak, but in 30-45 minutes I was there, my Steak turned into a tomorrow's leftovers Steak. Dry, gristle, cold, and tough...wth happened to my Steak?!?! That's what I get for not eating all of my Steak and instead trying to eat the baked potato I didn't order. The salad bar went up in price for $2.99 to $5.99 which isn't a problem. But I know, you know, and Sizzlers knows that the salads come from a large bag and so do the soups. The 80's music in the background is awful but it fits Sizzlers like a glove. This place is good for Seniors who remember restaurants before Pho, Ramen, Sushi, Asian Fusion, Mexican, Indian, and various other ethnic foods took over the scene. It's also good for people who are on their first few romantic getting to know you dates and don't want to spend a lot of money ($25+ per person) or set expectations (New, fancy, trendy resturants) too high. I'm not complaining, being negative, or blah, blah, blah. The Black Cherry Jello is very enjoyable. It's simply that Sizzlers is stuck in a mediocre loop. I know what to expect and am getting from Sizzlers. There are no surprises. The only emotion I can muster is indifference and to pair it with a shrug. We had about a 15 minutes wait on Saturday about 5 :30 . I ordered the Steak & lobster, baked potato. My friend got the salad bar. Our server came in about 10 minutes to give us our teas . It took her longer to bring hot water for my tea. Then another 20 for my meal. It was very crowded. The Warriors game was on, so l was happy to See the game from afar. I must say I really enjoyed the lobster tail. It was very small, yet tasty. The potato was large & good. The steak, very tough & not so good. I ended up taking that to go. Yet my friend, throughly enjoyed the all you can eat salad bar. We did get some ice cream for dessert, pretty good. It got really noisy, so we left. I think I will try another steak next time . Great place to dine if you don't want something fancy smancy, and no frills. Just a quick simple steakhouse, that's very affordable for what you get. Their steak and shrimp is good, and so is their yogurt. They have great clam chowder and a good and fresh selection in their salad bar. Go see Wilson. One of the few places left in the Bay Area that is still affordable and family friendly! Good American comfort food, a reasonable price and the family has a good time. It's not particularly exciting but I am grateful for it. Can get very crowded if you go around senior time dinner so avoid 5-6pm. The worse thing I had is the steak that can be very chewy. First off our waitress was horrible, maybe she was having a bad day but sheesh leave it at the door when you come to work. We weren't expecting much when we came here, it's sizzler, and it was right next to our hotel. All we wanted was a quick bite to eat. So frozen over cooked hamburgers it was. The salad bar was ok and there is an ice cream bar as well. Main reason for one star rating is for the "manager" I use that term lightly try to argue with me that the burger I order was a double with two patties and the cheese had melted the patties together and the cheese was in the center, I worked food for three years ,never have I seen cheese melt two patties in the center. So he left chest puffed, I presume thinking another dumb customer served, figuratively and literally, he just had to be right. Don't get me wrong at first he was apologetic, but then he just had to be right, another customer had ordered the double mega burger, and it was twice the size of the one I had received. So I knew something was up, when he tried saying the burger patties were only a half inch thick, I have ordered this particular a many times so I know what I'm looking for.After the boss man with a pony tail, told it was two patties melted together, I pulled the patties apart and long story short no cheese, it was only one patty with cheese on top none in the center. As a member of the "Real Deal" eclub, you receive an "anniversary coupon" good for a free "smaller Malibu chicken entree". Great, right? But if you use the coupon at this Sizzler and order the salad bar, you are charged for the salad bar as a separate meal rather than what the add-on price would be if you ordered it with an entree. That means that instead of paying the $4.99 normally charged for getting the salad bar with the "Smaller Malibu chicken", you will be charged from $10.99 to $13.99, so that the coupon loses much or most of its value. They're very tricky about this, it's why they ring the free meal up separately. Most customers won't notice this since they don't provide an itemized receipt unless the customer demands it. read more

For what it is this place is great. I never expect too much from Sizzler. My grandparents like to take the family to lunch every month to bond as a family. This is pretty fun most of the time. This location we have gone to several times. The food isn't the best quality, but the salad bar does have a significant array of food. The service here is great which is something most other sizzlers I have been to done have. read more

We came in late night Saturday Jan 15th around 9pm I believe with a 3 family group and were able to all sit in one area thanks to the helpful staff. It was a great time. The pork chops were great. I haven't been to sizzler since I was 11 and so many good changes have been made. The salad bar stepped up it's game with a better healthier choice of food. The food options at the hot bar was great as well! Onion rings?! Come on who can pass that up. The portions for their actual entree's are a bit on the small size, but the taste is there. i didn't think this restaurant is particularly good or anything. we go in the restaurant and we order what we want first before we are seated. then we wait for the food and the food is normal. I like restaurants where you sit down first and then order your food. during lunch, its pretty slow here. When I think of Sizzler, I think of spontaneous decisions. I never plan or make reservations to eat at Sizzler's. It only happens when a friend mentions it. So really, I don't find anything bad with Sizzler. I usually get the Big Appetite Combo, which includes steak, shrimp, ribs, and a baked potato. For $14.95, that's not a bad deal. We usually have some cool Filipino server that hooks it up with plates for the salad bar. Speaking of the salad bar, it's actually one of the best in town. The collection of hot appetizers, fresh fruit, soups, salads, and more are highly edible. Before leaving, you should help yourself to the frozen yogurt machine as a reminder that not all chain restaurants are bad. read more

I like coming to this location better than the San Jose location for sure. I haven't had a bad experience yet... It gets really busy on the weekend so be prepared to wait in line for a bit or come earlier. Other than that I will be back! read more

Ok so I got there right at closing placed a order got my food went back home now I don't like my steak bloody at all nor does my gf and the first cut into the steak low and behold it's bloody it was to late to call at this point I made a mental note to call them the next day we'll life got in the way (it being the holiday season and all) and 2 days later I called and explained the situation I've never complained about food in the past cause I usually always get what I ordered and if I don't it usually gets fixed on the spot but they were closed when I discovered my steak was not well done and it was a decent order for 2 people like a 50 something dollar bill and I even tipped 20% cause I appreciated the service (no complaints on the waiting staff) so I call the manager and explained the situation now I know how this is suppose to work I don't care about a free meal I can eat there every day if I wanted since I waited 2-3 days and didn't call the next day he was unable to do anything about it he offered a discount if I came there again but no thanks if he would have agreed that his cooking staff messed up and agreed to comp me on just one of the meals I would have appreciated that and prolly would have ate there again (the food was not spectacular looked very prossessed) so moral of the story these guys don't care about their customers they don't care to admit fault and reasonably accommodate a customer the guy sounded angry with me on the phone while I was calm and collective he even remembered me but wouldn't take care of this problem ridiculous and poor management I would not recommend this sizzler to anyone read more

I am in love with sizzler's endless salad bar. So many different dishes you can choose from (ceasar salad, tacos, pasta, chicken, fruits, soup, even some cheese) and I always get it every time I go there. My husband often orders steak from there, and it tastes pretty good. Also, i love their strawberry lemonade. The service is good, the place is clean (except for the bathroom!). Would give 5 stars but lost a star due to incompetent cashier that overcharged for a third meal on a two party bill and smirked when no tip was added to the credit card charge. We go here often in the summer season. We never had any problem with our servers until today. Our server named Maura, wasn't very pleasant. She picked up the receipt and saw that we had two salad bar and steak. I asked her for two more plates for the salad bar and she never brought it. When the stake came, I thought she would bring the two plates but still never brought it. She asked me if I wanted A1 sauce and I replied "yes" and never brought it. I asked her again if we can get more plates for the salad bad, so she brings one plate so my wife has to wait for another plate. Now I'm getting upset. I asked her for another plate and Maura replies " Oh did you purchase two salad bars?". Of course I replied back " So you are implying that I only purchase one salad bar? (Knowing that I purchased two)." Then she said let me get my manager. Maura you need more people skills and more training. This one star that I'm rating is for you. When I was a kid we'd eat at Sizzler, but had not been there for sometime. Recently I've gone back several times. Sizzler appeals to me because sometimes I want salad bar and sometimes I want a prepared meal - with Sizzler you can do whatever. The salad bar is not huge but it caters well to most people. I like the onion rings and taco bar. I tried the pumpkin soup (no one else in my family would eat this if I bought it) - I thought it was really delicious. I typically order steak and I tend to ask for medium rare. I've asked for medium before and regretted it. I like that the portions aren't huge. read more

Ive always seen the commericals and even as a child i remember always wanting to go there because of the cool jello jigglers they had. However my dream of the jello jigglers hadnt been fulfilled until the age of 22 haha. I came here with some friends and wasnt exactly sure of the "endless salad bar" I didnt know how that worked and that it contained more than just salad. I ordered the 6 oz steak medium rare. It was not rare at all in fact i tasted the same flavorless steak at applebees a few months back! haha. HOWEVER i will give sizzler some major credit in regards to their scolding yet extremely tasty clam chowder. I was impressed with this because i LOVE da chowder. I would go back but wouldnt expect quality meat which I shouldnt had in the first place, however I wanted to have a open mind. Good place though. Very clean as well. read more
