Juan is amazing! I've worked in customer service for over 9 years and always recognize and appreciate great service, and Juan is outstanding. I was specifically looking for an indoor storage unit and came across SoCal Self Storage on Yelp. I booked a reservation online but decided I wanted a slightly bigger size, so I called Juan and he was able to accommodate me and match the online price too! Went in today to view the unit and sign the contract and was in putting stuff into storage 20 minutes later. Whole process was quick and easy, and I feel secure knowing that it's indoors and everyone has their own unique access code so I won't have to worry about people trying to enter to steal things lol. Cannot say enough great things about SoCal Self Storage. Ryan and Mario are great and have always been very helpful and friendly. One time I came by to get something small from storage and the elevators weren't working. It was a pretty hot day but rather than just tell me to come back later, staff took the time to walk me up. Having AC, water in the fridge and great music playing is really a nice touch. Just evidence that they do care about their customers. Place is always very clean as well. I am moving away and had to empty my room but have to say any new storage facility is going to be measured against a pretty high standard. In my three year there I never once had any concerns about safety and security of my belongings. I came in to check out the place and I was thoroughly impressed by many things. To start, the man at the front, Juan, was super kind and friendly. I had a bunch of questions and he answered everyone with a great attitude.(which for me is a big plus). Then he let us check out the units we were interested which were inside a cooled building which is also a big plus. The man who signed me up; who said my payment would drop after my initial payment... just tried to accuse me of staying later after the alarm buzzed ..... after we left with another woman just talking to him? Check the cameras! Meanwhile we were standing outside when we heard it at our car. He then blames it on the owner saying "she" called wondering what was wrong? Do your job don't hit me up for money after we leave with the person u were just speaking to. 4 times I told them the AC was not working. The same guy!!! And once again he says it is... He gave me the most convenient space and pricing that I needed for my equipments. Not to mention they were always available not only at storage office but also on the phone. I rented their space for few months and it was a great experience I would definitely go back if I need to rent a storage again, or recommend it to someone. I was looking for a place to store the contents of my studio apartment for about a year (my university is online indefinitely) and found SoCal Storage through Yelp. I was initially interested in the Hollywood location, but they didn't have the right size for my needs and recommended that I call Mario at the Northridge facility. He and Juan have been very easy to work with and thus far the storage facility looks clean and efficiently run. Parking is easy and the AC is strong. It's right next door to the mall too! read more

I had a unit at this location for years and they were wonderful from start to finish! They are friendly and helped me whenever I needed anything. The prices are comparable to other locations but the units are climate controlled so you don't have to worry about heat or outside contaminations. The only reason I ended my rental there was that I moved to a home with more storage space. I Highly recommend SoCal Self Storage Northridge. Great people there. read more
