The outside seating was very nice as it was in a cluster of other shops and restaurants. The service was very nice and friendly and our food did not have a long wait at all! The chicken salad was very flavorful and the mandarins gave it the perfect touch of sweet! Overall would recommend to anyone in the area

I enjoyed my lunch at Souvla! I got the veg sweet potato salad, and it was yummy. The portion was very generous and filling. My friends also loved their sandwiches and the Greek fries. My friends also ordered the frozen yogurt with baklava for dessert, and said it was some of the best frozen yogurt they've ever had. As for the ambience, it's a small, casual spot without much seating, but it's cute. The service was good and food came out quick. I enjoyed it!

We went during happy hour so I was able to get a glass of wine for $10. We also ordered the chicken salad, a side of greek fries, and a lamb sandwich. Everything was so delicious and well seasoned. The salad was refreshing with some mandarin and kale and cheese. My favorite were the fries also well seasoned and crispy with really yummy mizithra cheese. The service was really fast and staff were really nice. This location is a little small but cozy nonetheless and they had some outdoor seating as well. They also have froyo that I was not able to try because i was so full but looked good and I will def try next time

We ordered the veg sandwich, lamb sandwich, and Greek fries. All delicious. There are 3-4 tables for indoor seating, so it can feel a little tight. But, there is some outdoor seating as well if you're willing to brave the cold. Only a short wait to order. This is a popular spot for take out. The ice cream machine is currently broken, so hoping to review that next time.

This is a really good non-appetizer/side salad. It's actually filling enough to be a meal, and had enough lamb to make the price worth it. For fifty cents more, you can get the "hot sauce" on the side which is really just a spicy vinegar dressing. I'd highly recommend trying that if you're not usually a salad-as-a-meal person. The ice cream machine was broken on 4/12/26 which was a bit sad. There are a few shared tables inside and it's self-seating.

This place was recommended to me so we actually came here twice. It's a limited menu but everything looked clean and was yummy. It's a small location so you may have to look around for a seat. i tried both salads and both were good. I also had a side of sweet potatoes which was simple but sweet. The greek yogurt is a must try. SYOY!

This is a little greek inspired place on Chestnut. The queue was always about 3 deep at this order at the counter spot, but the food arrived quickly, the tables were clean and bussed. The ambiance is that of a nice quick service spot. Decor was nice but it was packed. The chicken sandwich and salad were large, well seasoned and flavorful

I've had Souvla salads many times- you can't go wrong- they are so big and delicious. But this time, my husband and I split the half chicken with fries and harissa sauce. It was so juicy and flavorful. You can see the chickens actively rotisering, not sure how I didn't order one before today. Our waiter Christos was so so kind and generous - he made our experience even more pleasant. And don't skip on the frozen Greek yoghurt- we love the baklava and the honey one- the olive oil and salt one was too savory and salty for us personally.

Got the chicken sandwich and potatoes as well as a Greek yogurt with baklava and honey. I felt like I was mostly just tasting the orange slices in the sandwich which I didn't like. Potatoes mainly tasted like oil without much extra seasoning. The Greek yogurt is pretty sour, but I could definitely see how someone would really like it if that's your thing. Unfortunately, I think they forgot to add any honey. The woman who helped me was very nice. Probably will come back and try some different items

I'm slightly embarrassed it took my teen to show me this place, but I've been making up for lost time. We've eaten here more in the past few weeks than I'd like to admit. The wraps and salads are addictive and pretty, the greek fries are yummy, and the froyo is the perfect finish. I tried the Valencia location. While there was nothing wrong with the food, it did not wow me and almost diminished my obsession. Then, I went back to Chestnut and all was right in the world.

Came here on a warmer day in the city and there was a long line out the door, but most were takeout orders. The menu is quite simple but you're free to customize the items with a different dressing etc. We ordered the frozen yogurt with our other food but we asked to get it later when we were about to leave so it wouldn't melt. The cashier was nice to even let us try the flavors! The portions are quite sizeable and you can taste there is quality in the ingredients. The salad had great flavor and was very refreshing. The pita wrap with the chicken had a lighter flavor, but was still good. The meat was tender in both. Fries were crispy and fresh (we didn't get a sauce though, but I would recommend it). We used the hot sauce on the table. Our frozen yogurt seemed a bit small for the price but was delicious.

Souvla is always a favorite stop when we are in SF! The lamb salad is absolutely delicious super flavorful, tender, and filling without being too heavy. It's definitely our go-to dish here. Highly recommend asking for a side of tzatziki it adds the perfect creamy tang and ties everything together.

A great chain location to stop at. We'd gotten a sandwich prior so got a chicken wrap with greek fries to share. They have plenty of seating which we very much needed because we were in for a loong day of walking still (we popped by for lunch after walking down the embarcadero from the ferry building and would through the day end up following the coast until sutro baths). Plenty of outdoor seating too which we took because it was a beautiful day. The chicken sandwich was solid yummy and i love that there were tangerine slices in there. I don't think i've had that in a wrap before and it added a nice sweet juiciness to the bite. Note that even though the wraps are called "sandwiches" on the menu, they are in fact wraps. Which makes sense given the cuisine. But it didn't click for me until we got the dish haha. Tasted good, didn't last long - we were hungry and inhaled it. With 2 people i'd say it existed for a solid 2 minutes max.

The portions are big, and there is a huge variety of sides and spices to pair with your dishes. The service was 3/5. Unfortunately, not a single employee had a smile on their face, and it didn't feel very welcoming. The kebabs were made with chicken breast, but very tender and moist, and the side of hummus was fresh, creamy and delicious. We also tried the sangria which was great- not too sweet and decently strong (not watered down bad wine). For dessert, the lemon cake was tasty but odd that dried cranberries were sprinkled into the whipped cream. I appreciated the variety offered on the menu- not just typical Greek food you find everywhere else that touts "Mediterranean food". The service was super nice and efficient, and I like that it has been family owned and run (sadly an increasingly rare San Francisco characteristic these days)- you can tell the difference in the quality and thought put into the experience.

The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac.
