Paul our server was great. The food was fantastic. The prices were very reasonable. I would say if I lived here this place would be a regular stop for me.

Onion straws on a juicy burger.

Set in quiet, unhurried oldtown McKinney, nice minimalist dream spot. Just step in, pick a seat, and drink order taken almost as soon as you sit. Server greets you nicely. Laid back 70s rock playing... Doobie bros., Chicago, love the vibe of soft 70s rock? This is heaven.. "Momma Told Me Not to Come".. is playing now. Mine didn't tell me not to come here. Had she, I would've anyway. It's Sunday, but they have a nice little crowd. This means they must be serving up good eats. Wife order a classic cheeseburger, I ordered a BBQ cheddar with onion strings. Will let you know after what the flavors were like. Pictures do not do the big burger taste justice. As gorgeous as they look, they taste 1000% better. Onion straws? Perfectly seasoned, not salty, not greasy at all. Perfectly done. Came out to view new homes in Melissa. Sadly, unless we buy out here, we won't be able to just drive the hour from Hurst for this burger. If you live within a half hour, well worth it. Peace y'all.

Went to the first new wine dinners their doing every last Monday of the month and let me tell you it's AMAZING. Great wines, amazing choices for the menu, and wonderful staff. If you want to sign up just call the store or go in for more information which is what I did. Definitely something to try out and I will definitely be back for more!

Love this place. Every other place was packed so we stumbled upon this gem. There is ample outdoor and indoor seating. They have a full bar and a large menu full of options. I typically don't eat beef burgers so I opted for the tuna burger! Wow it's was so flavorful and the waiter was right; it tasted like sushi. The sweet potato fries were bomb. Better than the regular fries. The service was great and good came out quickly even with it being a busy Saturday. Overall looking forward to coming back. Such a good place for families and friends to gather. Very laid back atmosphere.

Square Burger with Swiss Onion Strings

FOOD: I had the Square Burger medium, with Swiss all the way (which inc. a leaf of leafy lettuce, one slice of medium tomato, & a thin slice of red onion), on a toasted bun. Condiments on the side. * Hot, cooked just right, seasoned well, good flavor. Large order of Onion Strings (enough for 2-3 to share) * Hot, perfectly fried crisp with "..dust of sweet & spicy cajun blend". Rusty had the Fish & Chips Sandwich. * Hot, light batter, good seasoning. * Chips are thick cut potato fries, average. Nothing special, but good. Drinks: *Shiner on tap (2). Good as usual. * Dirty Vodka Martini (1). Good, STRONG-definitely not shorting you in the vodka. Been awhile since I've had a martini, so when I say it was strong it may have just been me. However it was very good! * Sweet Tea (1) perfect! Total $ 55 before Tip SERVICE: Very good. We sat at the bar, and Derek was great! Attentive, friendly, laid back, never rushed us. AMBIANCE: We were there around 2:00pm on a Friday, so it wasn't loud, or crowded. College football on one TV and Terminator: Dark Fate on another. Relaxed atmosphere, clean, simple style inside. They also have a small patio with a few tables, where they allow dogs, accompanied by their human of course . Good, would definitely return, I reserve 5 stars for Wonderful or Excellent! So nothing bad reflected on Square Burger.

What a great surprise trying Square Burger for the first time. Went against grain and ordered a cheesesteak with side salad. The beef was flavorful and tender and the French role was nicely toasted and flakey. You can't have a good cheesesteak without a great roll. To top it off, i also had sweet potatoes fries - so delicious. I will certainly go back again.

Okay, so we didn't actually eat here tonight.... We sat down, got a couple waters and looked over the menu and we just weren't feeling it. It didn't seem like the burgers came with any sides, so a side of French fries were $3-6 extra. However, the waiter was fast and friendly. We might give this place another shot some other time. But tonight it just didn't do it for us.

Do you have a turkey burger or veggie burger?

Yes, there is a delicious turkey burger on the menu. If you're looking for non-beef options, you can also try the salmon burger or the spicy tuna burger. Note that these are all made in-house from fresh ingredients - no manufactured, pre-formed… Read more

We had a reservation, which is recommended because the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night in May. We opted to sit on the patio because the weather was gorgeous. I am not sure if the patio is climate controlled in the summer or not. But on that night we were there, the weather was mild so it was very pleasant. They have happy hour on Saturdays so I started with an IPA on tap and the wife had a Prosecco, also for happy hour prices. This is a tapas restaurant so I will try to remember all that we had. Manchego cheese board: excellent. The crisps and jam were perfect with the cheese. Potato torilla: excellent. The flavors melded very well and it was very tasty. It's filling so keep that in mind. Ceviche de jalapeno: excellent. Not too spicy, the shrimp and seafood was fresh with no fishy smell. The plantains were cooked perfectly, not greasy. Brisket on crostini: excellent. Forget the name but they are a winner. Brisket is good quality and the flavors come together nicely. Chicken skewer: excellent. They smartly use chicken thighs so the meat is juicy and tender. Tuna tartare: good. It actually was my least favorite. The quality was very good but it did not have much flavor. I needed some heat, some acid, something to give it a kick. We were absolutely stuffed and did not try dessert. Our server Marcellus was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant throughout. He never disappeared for too long. Overall, we had a great meal and will undoubtedly return here again.

We decided to try Brass Tap again tonight for dinner. We have been here once before about 3 years…read moreago and it was ok, nothing too memorable - nothing horrible. Food was ok. So, we thought - why not, it's close- let's go and see if we like it better this time. Let's start with the positives. We arrived shortly after 5pm and the place was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The server was friendly and immediately took our drink orders. She was attentive and service was fast. No complaints with her service at all. It seemed pretty chill and low key. A few people trickled in but nothing crazy for a Saturday night. We ordered the pretzel appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised. The color of the pretzel had me fooled. It was pretty dark in color which usually indicates overdone and hard so when it was amazingly soft inside - wow! So good! We loved the mustard and cheese sauce that came with it. My husband and son ordered a burger and said they were tasty, my other son ordered the chicken strips and said they were good. Negative for the meal, I ordered the blackened cod tacos and subbed the chips and salsa for the Gilroy Garlic Fries. I was very excited for the garlic fries since we are originally from that area and are very knowledgeable about the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival and all things Garlic. Here's where this dish wasn't exciting - the tacos were pretty bland. I took the coleslaw from my son's chicken tenders to try and add more flavor and make the taco more palatable. I only ate 1 of the 2 because there really was just zero flavor. The fries were probably an even greater disappointment. In the center, was a very small amount of cheese and maybe garlic? It had virtually zero garlic taste - I was searching for it. It was a sad version of garlic fries. I would not order that again unless they were improved upon. I went back and forth on 3 stars versus 4 stars because while service was great and fast, I can't confidently say I'd recommend it to someone. I may say it's a great place to chill for a beer and an appetizer but definitely NOT a meal. I think if your expectations are to stick with the appetizer list then you're probably going to like it. They have a large beer selection and plenty of screens for your favorite games.

The Brass Tap was founded in Florida in 2008, with 50 locations across 12 states. This location in Allen opened in 2015. Our group of six arrived for lunch on a weekday, and it wasn't very crowded inside. The one bartender was doing all of the front of house chores. He was very good, doing the easy customer interaction that appears to be simple but actually isn't that common. Waters were gotten for the table, and he was receptive to our offer of help. We ordered a selection of most things on the shareable bar menu (many of them Happy Hour prices): including pepperoni pizza, boom boom shrimp, mac 'n cheese, onion rings, pretzel, plain cheese burger with fries, brisket taco platter, chicken quesadilla, and chicken wings. Everything was OK to good, with me really liking the crispiness of the well fried french fries and the well-filled quesadilla. I did get to share a couple of drinks with my nephew including a pint of Paulaner ($7.25) and HH drink of the week (a bourbon sour mix for $7). A cool feature at a Brass Tap is their leader board: a Brew Crew Hall of Brews where patrons that have drunk at least 100 different beers at this location get their name listed.

Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment.
