Wow it's been 7 years since I've eaten here. I'm sad and embarrassed to say I paid $16 for a terrible breakfast burrito. Lately, I've been trying breakfast burritos around town and so far Paisan's wins ($7+/-). Today was a toss up between Peg's and Squeeze In. Squeeze In has a better online ordering site so I went with them. I noticed they automatically add in gratuity, even for pick-up, whatever. When I went to pick it up she handed me this little bagged container, it was so light! Not like I wanted something heavy but the description of this burrito online sounded epic, hence the $16. When I got home to devour, there was no salsa, no hot sauce, no ketchup with the hash browns, no sprouts, and I don't even think any salt. The sprouts were an option online, which I thought was a weird free add-on. No chiles within the burrito either, just a little bit of egg, cheese, and avocado. Oh, not sure why I chose the turkey sausage from the list but I really wish I hadn't. The sliced chunks were still cold and the casing was very visible on the sausage bites. Total turn off. I think the best part of the burrito was the ripe avocado. Feeling robbed I want my $ back. I think it'll be another 7 years before I try them again. :( read more

This last Sunday my fine Missy and I were planning a brunch date with each other. We landed on Squeeze Inn in South Reno at the South Creek Shopping Center. I called up Squeeze Inn to get on the reservation list with Ty. Little did I not know I soon received a text from Squeeze Inn which was linked to Yelp, boom we were on the waitlist. As I was eye balling my wife change up her Sunday brunch outfit I realized our table was ready. I dialed Ty back up and he worked his magic to keep our party of two alive on his list because we were still 20 minutes out. My Queen quickly went from a 10 to a 20 and away we went on our brunch date. We arrived and contacted Ty at the front podium. Ty had us seated immediately. I know this restaurant can have an extensive wait at times, I was thankful for the reservation and table. Waters were brought promptly to the table and I found myself day dreaming while looking at my wife while enjoying a tasty brewed coffee. We shared the Racy Tracy omelette, which had bacon, mushroom, avocado, and Otis style spuds upgrade of course! If you aren't familiar with the Otis style spuds check out my attached pictures. This omelette is large and so in charge. Connor took great care of our table. I was extremely impressed with our breakfast, coffee, and service. We came hungry for brunch. We arrived to a busy yet were able to be seated right away in the back outside patio. We had a very friendly server and was general timely in our order and receiving food but we did have to wait a bit to receive the check. The pancakes were fluffy and filling. Decided to try The Squeeze In for Sunday brunch. I used their waitlist app in Yelp and it worked wonderfully. We were even seated before the time stated in the app. We placed our order and it was quite a wait before we received our selections. My order arrived without the side of sausage and within five minutes it was delivered. The food is consistently good. I had the French toast with strawberries and banana and cream cheese. Cooked perfectly and very satisfying. My friend had the eggs Benedict with bacon and she thought that was pretty tasty as well. And the hubs enjoyed the bust a move omelette. Our server, Jessica, was pleasant and helpful. My only complaint would be that other servers kept coming by and grabbing things off our table to refill or re-organize, as in the syrup, the sugar, jellies, and the drink menu to name a few. It's very distracting when you're in conversation to have someone continually coming to your table to perform tasks better left to when the table is unoccupied. I'm also not keen on the payment apps that list tip amounts starting at 20%. While we are usually excellent tippers, I don't think it's up to the restaurant to suggest 20% to 25%, designed I'm sure for "customer" ease/laziness/math challenged. I realize many people aren't good with math in figuring a tip amount but an option for custom tip needs to be more visible and available to use. read more

We arrived around lunch time on a Sunday. We used Yelp's waitlist and added our name to the waitlist while we were driving here. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars as I saw a lot of the staff hug and sit down with the customers, which I thought was awesome. This decor and theme of this place is so eclectic and awesome! None of the tables and chairs matched, there was writing on the wall, there was even a bike hanging from the ceiling! Always loved coming I'm here when I lived in Reno years ago. Recently went back & went back to this staple spot & it still hits! My favorite thing to get is the Eric's Breakfast Burrito, I got it with bacon this time. It's a pretty standard breakfast burrito, but something about it is just delicious. The potatoes that come with it are always crisp to perfection. When we asked for the bill to be split evenly in the middle (we were a party of 3, but were paying for our 3rd persons meal) there was a lot of confusion. If I know it's going to be difficult because of a big party, I won't ask for a split bill, but since we just wanted it down the middle I didn't think it would be a big deal. Our servers reaction was surprising, immediately saying "you guys should've told me before" with a tone you could tell he was irritated. He gave us 2 different receipts before we confirmed it was correctly split down the middle, we were patient with him & his reaction because we didn't tell him at the beginning of our service, but it was going to be a surprise so we didn't want our guest to try to pick something cheap if she knew we were paying. Five stars for Uriah who made an otherwise bad situation into a better one with his solid customer service, but three stars for the dish I ordered (Huevos Montana) on overall flavor. My parents love this spot and make it a point to visit every time, so I've grown fond of it too, but this last one just wasn't the same. Dining with a one-year old isn't too much fun but the Squeeze staff were quick to bring him a basket of toys which kept him engaged the whole time. They also fired out a fruit cup that helped too! Uriah was our server and he was super attentive and with us at all the right moments. We all placed our orders and were excited for lunch. The plates started rolling out and everyone's arrived except my huevos Montana. Uriah said the kitchen had been behind but that it should be right up. A few minutes passed and he checked in again to let me know it was coming now, and when it arrived it was somehow lukewarm in the middle. Since the potatoes were hot and the eggs were hot and cooked as ordered, it made me feel as if all the ingredients had been fired separately and assembled once they were done cooking. One word to Uriah and he immediately took it off the bill without asking and offered to remake it as well. I don't like wasting food, especially due to a temperature issue like this, so I said you've done anything one could expect in a situation like this and I'll just eat it as it arrived. Unfortunately the one year old had different plans for me, so I grabbed a box and had to run out the door. So you probably want to know what I thought about the dish in the end. Well, later that afternoon at home I reheated it and found the dish to be generally bland. The chorizo (solid up charge to add this) was lacking that signature umph, and the salsa and pico tasted fresh, but it needed more. I'd actually asked for extra red salsa and they only remembered the sour cream for my friend. So I doctored it up with some cholula and added some extra salt and pepper and it was ok. If the dish had been good, I would keep my rating at 4 stars, but given the entire experience I can't. It just wasn't what I've come to expect at Squeeze In. read more

Came here for a late morning brunch on a cold Thursday. My gps had me going into an RV Park, and I knew that wasn't right, but I was able to see a sign for the restaurant and found my way to the correct parking lot. There are a lot of other shops and restaurants in the same area, so I'm sure it would be nice to walk around and check everything out after a big meal here. I got the sausage, mushroom, and spinach scramble with country potatoes and toast. I also chose the mushroom sauce. The portions were very big and I believe it was around $15 for the whole thing.
