First World Problem Review: I had first visited this location pretty soon after they had opened, and everything went well, but it appears I forgot to review it. Well, had I done so, this would be an update, and not necessarily a better one. First there was a line which is nothing new. Two guys were working and it was obvious one was really new so things were moving a lot slower than normal. The one who was not new was slow too, but this was due to lack of motivation. Then a lady comes in from the other door and butts in line which didn't help the already long wait. It did appear she had done a mobile order but something wasn't right, but this still doesn't give you the right to just cut the line. Of course, this was the new guy and he wasn't going to tell her to get to the back of the line. Then, both cashiers end up making drinks, so NO ONE was there to take orders. It was very unorganized. Simply wanting to reload my card, this shouldn't have taken so long to do. I did end up getting a drink after the fact, but there was no way in heck I was going to do that line again so I did the mobile order. The girl making the drink was the most competent in the bunch, confirming the milk, etc. So two-stars goes to her. Note I was here around 3p during the week, so I can see why maybe new staff would be working, but it became even more backed up once they left the registers to help make drinks, etc. I'm sure they're understaffed like many places are. Otherwise, decent parking lot shared with Veggie Grill and the other businesses above. There is another Starbucks on Crescent Heights and Sunset, literally a walk across the street. read more

I frequented this location when it was a Coffee Bean and will go more often now that it's my closest Starbucks. They are on full lockdown right now - only allowing a few people in at a time to order and you have to get your order to go... but that's the norm these days. I look forward to visiting when we're allowed to dine outside again. They have a very nice patio that overlooks Sunset Blvd. and is usually packed with aspiring screenwriters and other entertainment types. So I've been coming to this Starbucks now for a few weeks, and I must say this is the best there is. The staff is always so friendly, I always get a warm cheerful greeting when walking in the door. They are a nice change from other Starbucks I have been to. Unlike other Starbucks that ask for your name, and then just call out your drink instead. This location is probably the worst. When you first walk in, you're confused and uncomfortable becqusw there isn't enough space for the line of people (due to social distancing issues as well) but most of the times I've been here going on it's been so long that it literally stretches outside. In the door you can't see through clearly so you never know when you're up or when you should move forward so it leads to a lot of really awkward, cringe moments. And then to make matters about 100 times worse, the staff is all young, inadequate, and SLOW! The one girl there Shandra, doesn't speak English very well and they always have her at the register for some reason. She's never gotten my order right. And every single time I tell her what I'd like, she says "Okay, so you want an Americano?" Like NO DUDE, I want what I asked for!! The only reason I started going here in the first place is because I live right across the street and was excited that it was no longer coffee bean I was looking forward to having a Starbucks there but I was very wrong and I need to change some things if they want to keep the place afloat in that location. They got my order completely wrong and I was understanding because they were busy. My issue was they argued that they did my drink right and got defensive. I kept repeating myself of what I order every time and they snapped back. The staff is lively, attentive and kind. Always get exactly what I order, it's hot and they even sometimes prepare it when I walk in seeing I frequently come here. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the way they are trained/corporate policy to yell "hello welcome in!" I get it, it's nice to greet a guest but in all actually it comes across generic and disingenuous. Most of the time they're busy working so they're not even looking at you when they yell it. It's a bit disturbing hearing it every 10 seconds if you're in there reading or just relaxing. It's not necessary at all, it's so much more genuine and appropriate to greet someone when they come to the register when they order. In addition why are they not putting sugar and creamer out still. It's just as annoying to have to ask for it as it is for them to have to put it in my drink or on the side which wastes a paper cup every time. So I pull up to the Starbucks to place my mobile order and I walk in and I realized that my order was sent to a complete different Starbucks I'll walk up to the front counter and show my order to the cashier and he was refusing to make my order and telling me to call the 800 number this was my third stop at Starbucks today so my order went to the last place where I had picked up my order earlier even tho I was sitting in the parking lot.
