I usually only share experiences when the service is super great or super poor. First, I like to start off by saying I usually receive exceptional service at this location. On Sunday, October 10th between 7;15 pm and 7:40 pm, I was met with hostility and a condescending attitude by the barista in a white and black plaid jacket and a black beanie. She was dismissive and didn't bother to acknowledge my question. I simply asked for a Venti cup of ice water with more ice less water. We picked up 5 drinks and she didn't even offer a carrier. The other barista noticed I was annoyed and immediately asked me if I needed a drink carrier. It was night and day service between both baristas. I actually went home and calculated the amount of money I spend on Starbucks monthly, $25 a week $100 a month$1200-1300 a year. All I could do was think about the dismissive attitude and how I support the organization. In business school Starbucks was one of our case studies, because of their customer service. Had a bad experience tonight at this Starbucks. To be honest, they're never really that friendly, but tonight tops the other experiences I've had. I'm pregnant so I count my daily caffeine intake and apparently that makes me an a**hole. I ordered the toasted white chocolate creme Frappuccino(it has 0mgs of caffeine) and then I added one blonde espresso shot(which is 75mgs of caffeine) When my husband brought back what I had ordered off the Starbucks app it was clearly a white mocha Frappuccino(which has three pumps of the Frappuccino coffee added to it, so not what I wanted nor what I ordered) So we call over there. And each person we talked to was very rude and annoyed, wait for it, at us, the paying customers. So he goes back over there to show them pictures of the app that clearly states the Frappuccino I ordered has no caffeine. And the guy that made the firsts ones out right told my husband he was wrong!!! Shame on you Starbucks for making a pregnant lady have to work so hard for her one allotted caffeinated drink. read more

The pace and service of this Starbucks is what I expect at Starbucks. These guys go up and above the minimum and you can tell they are really trying to get customers their coffee/ food quickly and effectively. I ordered two coffees, bought an ethos water, and ordered two breakfast sandwiches. They got my coffee right away and asked if I would like a tray to carry everything. I said no il be ok thanks. I made my coffee and then proceeded to walk to my car to set down the water and coffee i purchased, thinking I would go back for my breakfast sandwiches. A young man named Zee, came running after me telling me that I had forgot my sandwiches. It was very busy in there at 1030 am on Tuesday, but Zee went the extra mile and came running after me. I have been to the Starbucks many times and the service has always been better than the other Starbucks shops I go to in the valley. There is one person in specific I would like to point out who save the day for me and did it all with a huge smile on her face and her name is Holly. I had accidentally placed my mobile order at the wrong Starbucks and I was running late to pick up my mom from the airport so she immediately took things into her own hands and just ask to see my mobile order and started to re-create all the things I had ordered as I stood there so I wouldn't have to drive to the other Starbucks( and everything I had ordered was a pain in the ass customized and complicated order) . She was friendly and sweet and very willing to help and it is people like her that pass on a beautiful positive energy that makes the world a better place. It's not just that she took the order but it's the way that she handle the situation that shows professionalism and a wonderful personality. Thank you Holly! read more

Haters gon' hate....because I love this Starbucks. I go here almost every morning to get my Grande China Green Tips Soy Misto. The manager is super nice...actually everyone is super nice! I've gotten a drink or two on the house which is sweet =) The line does get long just like any Starbucks during breakfast or lunch. So I suggest you should go there a little earlier so you can avoid being a whiny brat about it. And yes, you will find your occasional bum trying to kick it there, but it does get resolved. It's actually quite entertaining watching them convince the manager not to call the cops, or watching them step in and step right back out when they see an officer of the law in there. Sheriffs and cops like to hang out there as well, so I'm never fearing for my life. Only time I ever got a little upset was when they forgot to give me my bagel (granted, I shouldn't even be eating bagels) ONCE. Just once, so I'm letting it slide. read more

Waited 15 minutes (no exaggeration) for a hot ham sandwich that can be heated up in 2. Turns out 'bag was never marked'. Guy was really apologetic (for another persons mistake), and handed me a coupon for a free drink. This made me awfully generous on the choice of stars to give this place. Great Starbucks for a fast drink and leave. Parking lot is often used by every business in the vicinity, including the AA classes and religious center next door. Can get pretty crowded at times and the bathrooms always have a wait and are usually filthy. Even after all that I still come here often for my green tea and just deal with it. I wish they would renovate soon! read more

I live within walking distance from this Starbucks... so maybe convenience adds another star to the previous reviews? Who knows. You will definitely meet some interesting people here... I wish the management would do a little regulating on the bikers that come and take every seat outside on the weekend mornings. There also tends to be quite a few homeless people hanging around. In defense... when the bikers are not around the homeless are sparse and much friendlier. They are no longer 24 hours and they have somewhat cleaned up their act. Their servers seem to be pretty consistent lately and they are not bad... however the morning lines can be somewhat ridiculous. I have no clue why they don't double up on the cash reg! read more

Busy yet efficient Starbucks location in the Sherman Oaks Galleria. Great staff that's always smiling. They always make my drink just perfect. Location does have seating but not too many as other locations. Also parking can be tight depending on the hour of the day you go. I usually go early in the mornings so I don't have any issues. read more

They hate... Literally hate doing pour overs here (asking for a fresh cup of dark Sumatra when it's not one of the coffees on tap). Any Starbucks west of here, encino, calabasas, Thousand Oaks not only let's u order from any kind of coffee (especially seasonal blends), but they don't act like you're asking them to give up their job to do the pour over. I expect this kind of poor attitude snd customer service from a McDonald's in the hood, but not sbux 91403. read more

This is my second choice for Starbucks in my neighborhood. The parking lot is usually crowded so it's hard to find a spot and it's almost always busy inside. I have never seen the same employee working there twice - so it doesn't feel as "homey" as my first choice for Starbucks (in the main part of Sherman Oaks/Ventura)... This one has a strange parking lot (I guess everyplace does), but the employees are very nice. I don't know if I've ever seen the same ones more than twice, but everyone who works here is sort of extra friendly. Go at 3:15 in the afternoon and the line moves fast and you're in and out. read more

My favorite Starbucks! Everyone is so nice and very friendly. Everyone knows me by name because I am such a frequent customer and they know my drink and usually have it ready by the time I pay. This is probably one of my favorite Starbucks stores to go to. I usually go in the mornings, super early, before heading to work. I also go in the afternoons when I need a pick me up, since it is only 5minutes from work. Everyone here is super nice and very friendly. The only thing is that sometimes, the line can be long, and if I dont have a lot of time, I just leave. Overall I love this place and they always manage to make all the changes to my drinks just how I like it. read more

I think they should work a little harder and more diligent to make sure that the orders come out in a timely manner. This is a great place to have coffee. While visiting I saw a couple Sheriffs get a hot cup of coffee. My friend ordered a Venti cold drink and did not like it. The barista practically went over the entire drink menu with him and made him an entirely new drink. My order was simple- tall caramel macchiato so it was ready fast. The girl we went with got her order pretty fast also. We stayed until closing, but we could have stayed until sunrise talking if they would have let us. It was the barista's b-day so he was anxious to close up shop and get everybody out of the store. The shop is on restaurant row in Encino. Wonderful location to go to. I would go back there if given the chance. read more
