    Seafood Pancake ($25)
    Courtney L.

Stone moved to a new location in Redmond last year and it is a true upgrade! The restaurant is super clean with shiny wooden tables that are equipped with a built-in induction surface. Although we didn't order any dishes that made use of the advanced tabletop, I still think it's so cool! Despite the tables also having a digital kiosk, I appreciated how they still handed us actual menus and manually took our order, both of which are becoming less common these days. Our group started with some hot tea and ordered three dishes which was the perfect amount to share. We loved each item and I enjoyed tasting the various banchan side dishes (included with most main menu items): broccoli, traditional kimchi, omelet, potato, salad and kimchi cucumbers. I can be picky about kimchi, but this one had an ideal balance between tartness, spice, slight sweetness and umami. Their kimchi cucumbers were also a hit as they were refreshing with a tantalizing heat. + SEAFOOD PANCAKE ($25): My first time having a seafood pancake and it won't be my last! It was hot right off the pan with a crispy golden exterior. The seafood included baby shrimp, baby octopus and calamari. It seemed like the portion of seafood was reasonable since I had some in almost every bite, however I don't recall seeing much shrimp... mostly calamari and octopus. They added a lot of green onion, which I personally liked as it gave the pancake an element of freshness. This came with a side of soy dipping sauce, but I enjoyed it as is. The portion size was generous for the three of us. + KIMCHI BEEF TOFU SOUP ($22): This soup was basically a comforting hug in a stone pot. It arrived at our table, still bubbling, with a small bowl of rice. While there wasn't a ton of beef in the soup, the pieces were lean and tender and there was enough to split between the three of us. I loved the smooth silky tofu, and the kimchi gave the soup a little tang. Adding a scoop of rice into my personal bowl and pouring the soup on top made for perfect bites as the grains absorbed the broth. We requested a medium spice level which was just right for me. + HOT POT BI-BIM-BAP w/ CHICKEN ($25): You can't go wrong with this dish! Carrots, radish, zucchini, bean sprouts, spinach and a raw egg topped the bed of rice along with our protein choice of chicken. We stirred in the egg immediately and I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables in the bowl. The chicken was delicious as well and seemed to have a slightly sweet marinade. The best part is the little bites of rice that crisped up against the side of the bowl, adding some toasty notes and texture. We forgot to drizzle on some of the red chili sauce provided with the dish, so I'll need to do that next time! The three of us had a terrific dinner here and the service is so kind. We were checked on three times, which surpassed my expectations. We came for an early dinner on Sunday, so it was relatively quiet, even shortly after 6:00P. Even if the restaurant was full, the tables are spaced comfortably apart and I noticed they even had a separate section that is walled off for a larger group. Parking is also easy, running right alongside the neighboring walking trail. Needless to say, I'll be back!

Spicy Chicken Bulgogi with cheese and side dishes

Nice little location with parking. Service was great. Friendly and attentive staff. We ordered yukkaejjang and Dwenjjangjigae with spicy chicken bulgogi. The soups were very good. Salty, spicy, and great portions. It tasted as if it was made to order which I appreciated for many restaurants will have a large pot of soup and reheat when ordered. The spicy chicken bulgogi was disappointing. It was dry and under seasoned. Korean spicy chicken bulgogi is normally salty, sweet, and packed with flavor. All the side dishes were good. Drinks are fairly expensive ... $17 for a bottle of soju is a bit outrageous... but will come back to try the fried chicken!

I love Korean food and specifically soft tofu soup. Thus I got the kimchi pork tofu soup. It was perfect for a cold rainy day and the banchan was very good. My boyfriend got a combo with bibimbap and short ribs. Everything was so delicious and the server was very nice and made sure to check up on us. She offered us more banchan as well.

Nice quick lunch at Stone. Love the bright location across from the light rail station. The soft tofu soups are great, and come with refillable banchan. Wings and KFC come with pickled radish. Service is about a B - they are very kind but tend to disappear a lot. Note: combo soup (with seafood) contains small whole shrimp; as such mine still had full digestive tracts to peel and clean! Overall I will continue coming back!

    Chicken Wings

I had a positive experience at Stone Korean Restaurant. I went for more of an evening snacks. Tried Chicken Wings and Kimbap. Both were reasonably good. However my expectations from wings were somewhat different. It felt more like a fried chicken and less like wings. And yeah they were not the best wings I have tried. But they helped me by bringing a flavorful sauce - mix of chilly and garlicy punch. So that made the experience way better. Kimbap was really good. I enjoyed it. Felt very fresh and refreshing. The accompanying soy sauce was bit salty but that's not uncommon. The ambiences of the place is reasonably good.

Stopped by to devour some Korean food post hike and Stone did not disappoint. We were promptly seated on a saturday during dinner time and there were plenty of empty tables around. We ordered the veggie pancakes, spicy chicken bulgogi, chicken hot pot bibimbap, combo pork bulgogi and pork bibimbap, and veggie bibimbap. The veggie pancakes and pork bulgogi were phenomenal and my favs. The spicy chicken bulgogi was a close second with the meat cooked well and the spices were great. The bibimbap was good but I preferred the other dishes above it. Service was quick, spacious interiors, ambience is good and food is good - what more can one ask for. Good spot to get your korean cravings.

I have been to this place many times including the previous location. I honestly can say the quality has improved quite a bit. After taking to the server we ordered a combo instead of ordering two dishes. It was a perfect amount for us Banchan was beautifully presented. I liked the mook. The pork used in spicy pork was a good quality without too much fat. Overall I enjoyed the lunch.

Fried chicken- no wings or thighs, yadi yadi. Only whole chicken that chopped up into multiple pieces. We got half and half, no sauce and half with sauce. The chicken was crispy and crunchy but meat was on the dried side. Sauce was different and too sweet, almost like eating sweet and sour pork from a Chinese restaurant, but with no hints of sour. Bulgogi - way too sweet, almost like a dessert. This is supposed to be a savory dish. Sol Lung Tang - beef bone soup - way too salty. Totally ruined the soup. We had to ask for hot water to dilute the soup. 1 and 1/2 bowls of hot waters, that's how salty this dish was. Seafood Tofu casserole - very yummy and flavorful at first. This was my favorite dish out of all until half way through. Then it got way too salty. I think the chef put sodium on the casserole, then pour tofu on clay pot. Same as the Sol Lung Tang. Totally ruined two good dishes. The Napa Kimchi banchan was surprisingly good though. As perfect as it can get.

    Veggie pancake -- Excellent!

We arrived about a half an hour before the place closed and they seated us and just asked us to order quickly. The service was great. My husband had the kalbi beef short ribs, and I had the vegetarian pancake, which was served with eight tiny side dishes. Those dishes were excellent. The business since the last time we were there. The new location doesn't have much parking, but you can park over by Whole Foods. Decor is sleek and modern and dark gray. We will be back again for another great meal.

I went here with my son for lunch coz we were dying of hunger in his words and we both like Korean food. We reached here and were promptly seated. There was no queue as well. We ordered vegetable bibimbap with egg, kimchi fried rice and kimchi soft tofu soup in veggie broth. Everything was delicious! The ambiance was very nice and calm. I would specially mention the difference in service I got when I had previously gone to their old location couple of years back. So glad to see that famous Korean hospitality back.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant I always go for the bulgogi and kimchi soup! The servers were incredibly friendly and the food was so delicious and flavorful. Every time I came to Washington I come here.

Newly reopened since moving from its long time location on redmond way. Beautiful decor, modern design, clean space, friendly staff, and most importantly, delicious food. They also have tables with induction burner where you can grill at the table although we did not try it this time since our group was too big. There are more items on the menu like Squid and pork belly that was not offered at the old location. Generally we feel the meat quality is great, flavor and preparation best in all Stone locations.

Solid korean place in Redmond more hip vibes. the table has induction heating built in, very fire. Busy on a weeknight with 20 min wait. Fried chicken was my favorite, crispy and juicy 10/10. Beef tofu soup, and spicy pork plate was pretty standard. No egg for soup :( and pork was a little mushy ish towards the end but flavors were still yummy.

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

Our family took advantage of the chicken's ability to maintain their crispiness, even for carry-out. It was OK, though a little confusing. Once we settled on KFC for dinner, our hosts (daughter and son-in-law) suggested carryout from 'The Third Place', which was a little out of the way from where we were. It is the Third restaurant opened by the owner, all Seattle area locations known for her KFC (Shin Sung Korean restaurant with Underground Kitchen and the since closed Yeon's Chicken). The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).

Honey Garlic is my favorite flavor, but Yangnum is good as well. The Creamy Rice Cake is not your typical spicy, red Teokkbokki (although they do also have that). It's like they put rice cake in alfredo sauce with slices of fish cake and onions. The texture of the rice cake is superb! So tender and chewy. That said, the kalbijjim itself was incredibly saucy and flavorful. Every bite became more addictive than the last, and I couldn't stop going back for more. As visitors from the Bay Area where there are a bunch of Korean restaurants, I can confidently say the food here is far better than your average Bay Area Korean restaurant. Between the four of us, we ordered a 12 half-and-half piece wing set, a seafood pancake, a tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. Although food takes a long time to come out of the kitchen, the food is worth the wait! The seafood pancake was some of the best seafood pancake that I've had. The pancake had generous amounts of seafood in it and the crispiness could not be beat. Although the bibimbap comes in a large stone pot and is sizzling hot coming out of the kitchen, you unfortunately aren't able to extract any burnt rice from the bottom. Perhaps a little bit more oil is needed to achieve this? Despite this, it's still a really nicely constructed bibimbap bowl with a solid variety of vegetables. The chicken wings are crispy on the exterior and juicy on the interior. The wings are on the larger size, so once you get past the thin layer of crispy skin on the outside, I recommend dipping the wing back into the leftover sauce on the plate for more flavor. Last but not least, the tofu soup had a deep kimchi flavor, and was very mild in terms of spiciness. I thought the rice cakes included in the bowl were cooked perfectly and had a nice bounce to them.
